This was one of my favourite past times, in the day. Great stress release. Use to do the rounds on a Saturday afternoon, from #UnityRecords, to #WildPytch, #UptownRecords, then later on in time #MajorFlavs and #ReleaseTheGroove #MrBongo or even #RecklessRecords and #BlackMarket if you #OldSkool enough! It was a whole culture back then and use to spend hours in each shop catching up with everyone, and bumping into all my Dj family too, much like the banter in a barbershop. It was all my friends working in the shop so I use to check out all the exclusive joints and breaks that were left aside for me doubles of everything too 😳. I use to spent all the dough I made djing the night before at #Rotation at #Subterranea in #LadbrokeGrove. I Found myself right back here with the homie @iamkofiofficial (big up for the shot) Never seen this spot before but they tryina tell us it's always been there. Ok I AM NOT ONE FOR #SPOILERS WHATSOEVER !!! If you are like me and haven't seen this yet, then don't check this out. !! This show right here has got me!! #TheBreaks A show focusing on the #Hiphop scene growing up from its early days in New York. Already 3 episodes deep after the full length feature. With #AvonBarksdale aka #WoodHarris and #BigMike aka #MacWilds from #TheWire 🙌🏾 This weeks episode focuses on #TheNewMusicSeminar based in New York. When I say THIS RIGHT HERE was the DEFINING reason I wanted to DJ after watching the two DJ's that put me on, @therealdjcashmoney and @djjazzyjeff dominate this battle right here 🙌🏾. Now although I love what they are trying to achieve with this show they have got their time lines kinda mixed up.. the #NMS ran from like 1980 to 1995 this right here is probably 1989 maybe 1990 as they featured #SpecialEd releasing #ComeOnLetsMoveIt in the last episode. This routine is blatantly @djbabuforeal's routine which he did in the #ITF back in #1997 I think it was. Despite the specific details which I am a stickler for.
