Learning Theory through Storytelling...
Learning theory through storytelling can be an effective method as there is opportunity to relate to and empathise with the narrative. Application of complex subjects becomes more accessible as normally a variety of scenarios are given as example.
Subject matter can be extensive and varied, for example; learning about animal psychology and physiology as demonstrated on our Positive_Cultivation blog.
"Do you want your child to be safer around animals? this book promotes observation of behaviour and positive interactions as well as introducing basic learning theory principles that are transferable between species (including humans) and can help understand the way we ourselves learn. Vera’s story encourages readers to follow their dreams and uniqueness." Vera & Bob

Quirks + Perks
It is crucial to pursue objective truth and yet you must remember to also inject your novel quirks and perks into your design / method.
If you are obsessed with the brain stimulating puzzles like the Rubik's cube, or coding (binary) and algorithms, maybe magnets is your persuasion?! Perhaps you are obsessed with musical instruments or the Fibonacci sequence and the Golden Ratio. Is it Space? Stardust - Atoms; Electrons, Photons, Quarks, Neutrinos, et al. Maybe you simply like hats or fascinated with colours and how light reflects and refracts. The “funny bone” (the ulnar nerve) and the sensations or with how a ladybug wings fold or maybe shoelaces strike a cord. You owe yourself the justice of thinking and exploring how these wondrous factors can inform your design and approach. We, your audience, want to celebrate the joy of your eccentric (expressive contribution). Induce the geek and take us on the journey with you!

Objective tools of Logic
The following will help us maintain intellectual honesty.
Note; there is no hierarchy as each is important.
Be sceptical and question the posed theories, arguments and/or claims. Avoid attacking collectives-individuals and their characters _ Ad hominem (Latin for "to the man" or "to the person", short for “argumentum ad hominem“, a logical fallacy).
Avoid misinterpretation, distortion or gross representation of an idea, theory, position or argument presented. Allow the known persons to position themselves _ Straw Man Fallacy.
Do not assert that because there is no evidence to suggest otherwise that something is therefore true or false. Ignorance is not substantiated _ Ad Ignorantiam (Latin: argumentum ad ignorant am, where ignorance represents "a lack of contrary evidence", a fallacy in informal logic.
Statistics are a helpful source but you must always consider all of the variables. Ensure the data available represents the whole as sufficient evidence or identify otherwise. Avoid the informal fallacy _ Hasty Generalisation.
Never assume something to be true, the foundation of any premise must always be based on observable evidence _ Begging the Question.
Never claim or assume that because something occurred before, it must be the cause. There will be a reason but not necessarily a connection _ Post Hoc cause.
Do not reduce an argument down to 2 possibilities. It is not “black and white”, there may be a “grey area” _ False Dichotomy.
Do not place the burden of proof onto the individual who is questioning your conclusion/claim. You must provide the evidence _ Burden of Proof Reversal.
Avoid assumption that “a” follows “b” when it has no evident logical connection _ Non sequitur.
Be aware that we cannot be truly certain of anything. Be careful to not confuse with measurable/observable Scientific truths. As we make new discoveries and comprehend more of the physical world in greater detail, each theory does not necessarily work at each scale.
Compose your ideas carefully and articulate with clarity but avoid disingenuous rhetoric. Let the content be the conclusive factor not the dexterity of the language itself.
Consider the subject matter carefully with in-depth research. Mindful that this is not over thinking but a prudent method of avoiding gross simplification.
a scenario: architects design the human built environment and ergonomics thereof based on observations of how people interact and navigate through space. Often the brief is informed by statistics and experience. Caveat; this is not always true due to various reasons; project complexity, requirements, funding, value engineering etc. It is prudent and professional to avoid preconceived notions whilst expectations could be a useful starting point the risks must be acknowledged.
Consider this nutritional thought; the truth *is* regardless of what we think or believe.

Our responsibility to Planet Earth
(Source: https://www.nasa.gov/image-feature/goddard/lro-earthrise-2015)
Due to awareness it is our responsibility to be concerned with what we are doing to the Planet_Earth. Remember that there are people who do not have that privilege as they must focus on the fundamental survival requirements such as hydration and nutrition and, are still more responsible than many of us.
Whilst ‘changing the World’ may be your passion, concentrate on yourself and making the necessary change through yourself.
Note that any decision that affects society should be based upon objective truth(s). Invest your time and energy through research.
For now, ponder upon this: Orbital Debris https://orbitaldebris.jsc.nasa.gov/
"Computer generated orbital debris graphics displaying currently tracked debris objects. Several graphics taken from different view points. LEO stands for low Earth orbit and is the region of space within 2,000 km of the Earth's surface. It is the most concentrated area for orbital debris."
"The GEO images are images generated from a distant oblique vantage point to provide a good view of the object population in the geosynchronous region (around 35,785 km altitude). Note the larger population of objects over the northern hemisphere is due mostly to Russian objects in high-inclination, high-eccentricity orbits."

Understand Context
Observe and investigate the environment and history of a place in intimate detail. Whilst this method demands time it yields an informed response from you by default. This method culminates opportunities for constructive resolve and reason. Avoid quixotic investigation - whilst recording your (subjective) perception of place is important, the fundamental logistics should be driving objective observation.
Search for novelties - perhaps there are those that can provide feedback and direction through experience. Remember to test the connections. Exploring the core of your posed question(s) should be a theoretical and physical practice in unison.

Do not submit to gross simplification
Be mindful; if requested to reduce the scope of your work and you think it will yield gross simplification, do not submit, be mindful that ‘riddles’ and ‘poetry’ have their place and rather find a method of delivery that captures the essence of the information in a word, a sentence, an equation, a graph, a diagram, an image, a film, a sculptural object, an instrument or a device and so forth.

Imagination is conducive to resolve.
Memory recall is important but more so is the ability to use your imagination to solve posed questions.
For example; if you want to check a scale of something, then identify a known measurement which you can check against. Perhaps you wish to identify a scale of a technical drawing, is there something on that drawing that you know; size of component, setting out of a designated area etc?
Or, you may need to know how tall/high ‘x’ is. Then you can question does that ‘x’ cast a shadow? If so, you may approximate how tall you are and identify the length of shadow you cast, extrapolate that measurement and apply to the unknown ‘x’. This will yield approximation and the direction to precision.
Perhaps ‘x’ is built from a known material of standard size, such as a brick building. Then you can count the brick courses and multiply by the know size to reveal the height.
Of course you may have researched into the actual answer and memorised it. However what is more useful is that you are able to use your imagination to work out certain answers before utilising tools. This is important because there may not already be an answer and you wish to face questions, like puzzles, that have not already been solved.

Trust your instincts and your identity.
Trust your instincts and your identity. No matter what anyone says, explore your-self and your brain capacity; test your ideas and imagination. Push beyond normative expectations of society. Always express your quirky nature. Your self expression, no matter the medium, should always reflect that.

Positive_cultivation
"It is an important element of any animals (human or otherwise) upbringing that they be exposed to novel stimuli right from the start. Exploration of new things helps them build a picture of the world around them, increase knowledge and develop awareness of safe boundaries and interactions. In this particular post I focus on introducing children to animals. I think it is critical for children to meet as many weird and wonderful creatures from as young as is safe to do so, but it must be in a positive way; not screaming at spiders in the bath or referring to certain animals as gross or scary, especially if the child seems naturally fearful, on that same note it is important not to force them to engage with something they show signs of reacting badly to, just calmly walk away and try again another time, habituating to a fear provoking stimulus by calm, regular exposure rather than flooding by forcing them into a situation or using bullying tactics."......continued

Climate, cultivation & reforestation.
Deforestation and impact on Climate is a real issue. Some people pose a question; “is mining finite resource, such as rock, a solution?”
We must consider that the mining process often results in exposed earth. Often the state of which is not conducive to growth of vegetation. Additionally, we have to account for the carbon dioxide output from the machinery required for the mining process.
It can be observed that captured carbon is stored within trees whether live or processed into timber.
Whilst trees are cut down, space is generated for further growth and quintessentially; additional carbon capture.
Perhaps focus should be on cultivating land and reforestation. This could be reflected in policy, for example, where reasonable, for every tree cut down at least two should be replanted.
While initially it may appear controversial, we must remain objective and always consider the issue in the wider context, not in isolation.

Risk of descriptive “labels”.
Risk of descriptive “labels”.
If you utilise “labels” as descriptives you must consider that these labels are subject to subjective perception. Be aware that people may have predetermined ideals or experience of particular ‘labels’. Thus assume intent, results, interests, ideas and thoughts. It can be more accurate and useful to elaborate with constructive, critical, objective information/data.

Education
In an exhaustive attempt to avoid gross simplification; education should be available to all. The fundamental intent of any School is to provide access to tested, proven and objective tools which the human collective have discovered and developed thus far. Following exposure to what we already know, each individual should be encouraged/taught/inspired to *think* (emphasis on original thought), ask the right questions and utilise methodologies to draw upon logic and rational enquiry. Naturally deter bias and not just recite information (we have devices for that). Rather, aim to identify the connections and significance of the data. It is also apparent that we cannot simply rely on a/one faculty to teach us and our children everything. We are limited by time and capacity, so focus on useful lessons, what is important to you and explore.

Functions of a Tool
Once you are well versed in the functions of a particular Tool. That is to say; you comprehend the limitations and the opportunities of that Tool - Your thoughts are no longer shaped by that Tool. You are the catalyst (or "Tool" for those of you with that sense of humour) who shapes your thoughts (ideas etc). You are the conductor; the Tool is one of many instruments.
