Good to be ‘Back’

- “Nocturnes” by Kazuo Ishiguro managed to amaze me because of its passionate and subtly romantic stories. I could play “I Fall in Love Too Easily” melodiously in mind because of that book. Moving on, my current read is “Insomniac City” by Bill Hayes. It’s a eulogy, able to portray both warmth and sorrow but enchanting in general. Anyway, I read books again at a relatively usual pace. Cheers for many, many good books ahead.

- I found the joy in building my new trolley rack. Among the challenging life situations I’ve faced, being able to get things done as easy as installing this rack is satisfying.

- Millions of posts out there have raised about how to be happy, but only this video is captivating for me. BigThink has spoken the truth; nature selection doesn’t care about our feelings, we have annoying features in mind that blocking us from experiencing joy, and the steps to be actually happy is not that pretentious.

- Reading a good book is enjoyable, but sharing what I read to others so that they can read and enjoy the same impacts is far more rewarding. After all, it’s true that ‘self-care’ isn’t everything to achieve the state of happiness.

- There’s a relief after I backed up my device’s memory. It was like giving spaces for the new moments ahead. I’m patiently waiting.

With both TBOB and Journal 3 finished, here's photos of them assembled them as earrings! (See more detailed photos of each of the books in their respective posts). I ended up wearing them out to a con (in a Ford cosplay) over the last weekend which was very fun. They also currently chill above my desk, nearby some Bill and Ford figures I made. Have watched Conclave three times, I wouldn't mind watching it all over again.

Self-reminder: Categorize, everything has its own right place. I won't put the context here.

My sister once said, "The more you learn philosophy, the wiser you are. Snobs are usually just a bunch of newcomers."

The urge to write about an injustice that has been done by others not long ago, but I don't want to treasure it as a memory. Not letting it go; I only need to remind myself that I still have good things surround me. Focus on that.

I always read several books in parallel. Which one will finish first? My mood decides.

One of my pals was reading Ihwal Nama Majid Pucuk, a selection of short stories from Kompas in 2022. What a wide range of premises, I'd love to discover more.

The fact that I'm relatable to Linkin Park songs is concerning, but I'll always be waiting patiently for their upcoming works.

Glad that people can count on me when tasting the food.

There's nothing beneficial about being a haughty person. Will others look at us with respect? No. They will look at us with disdain or will even fight us for showing that they are not inferior. What good comes out of it? Nothing, everyone gets hurt.

My mind feels scattered.

started playing the game this week and immediately wanted to paint something from the opening title credit scene! It's the second time ever I painted a landscape (or anything with gouache tbh) but I had a lot of fun! I feel like my progress in the game is really slow but I really like it so far ♥
