Babe wake up partially colored Nindroid Junction full designs just dropped stuff abouttt the outfits beklow
ok so Zane is literally just wearing his civilian sweater and boots over his ZX gi but that's really all he needs .... it's practical so it's fine
he does most of the driving so I don’t think he’d settle for anything less

Zane rebuilt Cryptor to be pretty much exactly the same as before, incomplete exoskeleton and all, so there’s nothing much to say there.
Cryptor's wearing his regular nindroid gi pants, boots, and waistband but the spiky leather jacket + shirtless combo is just to dramatically look the part 😭 let that power source hang ig
Cryptor wears those boots to be sliiightly taller than Zane but it doesn’t really work since his hair is shorter
He can SORT OF successfully (and recklessly) drive the cycle too but only because he’s watched Zane do it so much….. Also if he has to wear a helmet, he might as well make it look cool so ummm SPIKY TEETH ON THERE!

echo really only wears clothes to protect his already rusting body from the constant beatdowns the wind gives him on that motorcycle tbh
Now, I was originally only gonna add the letterman's jacket to echo since I didn't think he'd like the fabric of pants getting caught in his joints or whatever (and the sleeves are nice and puffy so they wouldnt do that too much on his arms) but then I realized I could just put a big ol pair of palazzos on him so yk GET THAT NINDROID COMFY
Echo's outfit and lack of shoes is not practical for motorcycle driving because I don't really see him doing much of that (though he could if he really wanted to, after a bit of trial and error) ..... He’d wanna get a good look around at the big ol world he’s never known before anyways!!!
he rides in a sidecar and uses the mailman bag for trinket + spare parts collection :) Also Tai-D likes to be carried around in said bag so another win

For the record, Echo ALSO has to wear a helmet but they haven't really gotten to circle back and buy one yet so he either wears Cryptor's or ties a toolbox to his head
#i believe in big pants echo supremacy#and also gay ass boots cryptor#ninjago#ninjago au#nindroid junction#zane ninjago#zane julien#ninjago cryptor#general cryptor#echo ninjago#echo zane#art of the stars#doodles of the stars#tai d#tai-d#Ninjago gizmo#<— he’s mentioned idk#unfortunately no motorcycle design yet gang ……… I still have no idea how to draw thos-#And I will simply never properly figure out how to make Zane look shiny and titanium HHELEP

Oil is Thicker Then Blood (Part 98)
N was first, climbing down into a small hole in the ceiling, using night vision to make sure the room was safe.
There was flesh piled in the corner, crawling up the wall to reach nearly the ceiling, black tendrils lie dormant all across the floor like living tripwires. One wrong touch and…
Uzi's head poked from the ceiling.
“Can I come down or what?”
N scanned the rest of the room, the control room screens were still online by some miracle, though several of them were busted and several more were tangled in a web of eldritch goo however, let's hope that wouldn't be an issue.
“H-hang on, if you touch the floor we'll trigger a reaction.” He flew up to come face to face with her, “Let me carry you.”
She reached out for him, landing into his hold as her tail lit up the room in a purple glow, taking in the room.
“Damn. This place will be gone in a couple days. We better get out of here fast.” She pointed out, eyelights training on the faintly glowing console. “Bring me over yeah?”
He nodded, hovering over to where she could leap onto the control panel without touching the floor.
[SYSTEM LOCKDOWN : ENTER PASSKEY]
Read the slightly cracked, incredibly dusty monitor and Uzi sighed, mumbling under her breath. “Yeah of course it's on lockdown…”
She pressed a few buttons, getting an error noise on each touch- the entire control panel was completely unresponsive.
“I'm going to have to plug in. Make sure my body doesn't fall.” She turned back to her boyfriend, who ceased his paranoid looking around to meet her eyes; worry creased his frame.
“Uzi this computer has been out here for ages… who knows what sort of virus it has. Plus…” He gestured to the black, slimy tendrils snaking up some of the monitors. “Who knows what this stuff does to computers.”
She nodded. “Yeah.”
“But the keyboards locked up, and we need the data off this old thing. What other choice do we have?”
“I-I could-”
“No.” Uzi interupted him. “If these things trigger you're the only one that can burn it away. We'd both be sitting ducks.”
He sighed heavily, the knowledge that she was right didn't help his nerves any, his core yanked painfully in protest.
No it's dangerous.
She could get hurt, the kit could be hurt.
Don’t let her go.
“Hey. I got this. You trust me?” She asked, cocking her head with a confident smirk, God, how long had it been since he'd seen that? It's been so much exhaustion and doubt lately…
“Of course I do.” He replies, hovering close just to give her a quick kiss on the lips before parting. “Just be careful, okay?”
She nods. “Duh.” And she reaches for the port above her core, forcing the hatch open, “Ow! Agh… that's not meant to come open without prep I guess.” She hissed under her breath, and fished around in her pocket for a linking cable. “There you are.”
She plugged one end into herself before hunting for an interface port on the console, taking a moment to find it.
She does, it's next to a big red button that was currently pulsing red- she made a mental note to avoid touching it.
“Wish me luck.” Was the last thing she said before she plugged herself into the control panel, body locking up as code crashed into her firewall. Her body winced. She barely felt N keep her steady as she was hit with a flood of errors.
Plugged into another drone, the experience was euphoric, you were connected to another conscious, a soul. But this computer wasn't sentient; and what little AI it possessed was broken beyond the point of functioning. So all the sensation she felt was just her own- and the faint screaming of a dying AI.
ERROR- MEMORY FAILING
ERROR- DATA BACKUP FAILED
ERROR- HARDWARE FAILURE
“Yeah, no shit.” She mumbled, feeling her mouth move as she refocused. Okay, the information had to be in here somewhere…
She began to push through the ocean of errored code, feeling the system push back hard against her firewall. N was right, this thing probably had a thousand viruses it was itching to share with her, let's just hope her firewall held up.
She felt her consciousness leave the confines of her physical body, leaving it behind as she searched through poorly organized files; some were completely corrupted, others were fine, just not useful.
Time lost meaning, the system of the console was incredibly vast, and it quickly became clear she was searching for a needle in a haystack, a dot of purple among a sea of white.
She began to worry, perhaps the information they were looking for had already been corrupted?
That is, until she ran into an encrypted wall of cascading code, denser then the scattering of loose data she'd been able to access thus far.
She pushed against it, purple meeting default white, as strings of encryption appeared on her visor, N watching over her diligently.
[ENTER PASSKEY]
She sighed- or whatever passed for an entirely digital equivalent, beginning to work through the encryption with her own hardware, the solver aiding in her speed.
1s and 0s turned to scrambled letters and white space made to make any unwanted guest have trouble finding the passkey, but a mixture of determination and robotic advantage let Uzi make quick work of it.
P-A-S-S-W
“Oh for- the password is password, I could've just guessed it!” Her body suddenly shouted, startling N and then making him laugh. “Pfft-haha!”
Refocusing, she was able to push her code through the systems firewall, it wasn't entirely painless but she got through.
There was only a single file.
Transmission- Classified [TITANUM-28]
The file was an audio recording, with a set of coordinates attached. She played it, beginning a download into her own system.
“This is Doctor Rosemont, Transmitting from Lab 18. Something… happened.” There was screaming in the background- and a colossal roar.
“The genetic experiments have been a success, modifications to our old C.R.I.S.P.R technology has allowed us a greater range of genetic wiggle room…” There's a crash, and the sound of rapid- panicked gunfire.
“U-Unfortunatly, Subject 5 has uh… escaped.”
There's the sound of shattering glass, and low, feral growling. “If you receive this message, know that Titanium-28 is compromised! I repeat! Titanium-28 is-” The transmission ends with a blood curdling scream and a roar.
The coordinates to the planet are attached labeled very clearly with [QUARANTINED]
A single image is also attached, a satellite view of a planet covered in red and green trees and a canopy so thick you couldn't even see through it from orbit, like images she'd seen of earth, a good portion of the planet was covered in water.
She felt N start to shake her, his voice muffled from the distance her code was from her body.
“UZI! WE GOTTA MOVE!”

"Boil water to turn fan" as if multistage steam turbine generators are not one of the sexiest kinds of machines every made

nuclear power is impressive until you get up to why. "we use the most precisely engineered machinery ever created to split atoms to release energy" oh yeah how come? "boil water to turn a fan" get the fuck out
#its genuinely crazy the math and engineering that go into making these absolutely massive steam turbines#its an incredible balancing act to optimize between the interconnected variables of pressure velocity and temperature in order#to extract as much energy as possible from the steam as it moves through the system#especially like. those generators need to maintain a very precise rotational speed in order to prevent the coupled generator#from going out of phase with the power grid#(3000 RPM for 50 Hz grids and 3600 RPM for 60 Hz grids)#like the reactor part sounds like a lot of engineering work (and it is!) but like. the turbine is fucking incredibly impressive too#each one of those turbine stages needs to have very specifically shaped blades in order to control steam pressure drop and steam velocity#and the blades need to be able to physically handle being in a wet (at least for nuclear plants where the steam is pretty wet) high temp#environment and constantly being spun at high rotational speeds for decades at a time.#we had to develop specialized nickel titanium superalloys with tightly controlled crystalline structures in order to build turbines this big#stare into the depths of “wow we really just use steam to spin a big fan that sounds simple” and you encounter#the lifes work of thousands of mathematicians computer engineers material scientists and mechanical engineers#the first device we could call a steam turbine was made as a toy in tthe first century ancient greece and egypt#the first steam turbine with a practical use was described in 1551 in Ottoman Egypt. it was used to turn a spit of meat over a fire.#the first modern multistage impluse steam turbine was made in 1884 and revolutionized electricity generation and marine propulsion#in the 141 years since there have been more improvements than one could even list#from major design changes credited to great men to miniscule efficiencies and optimizations gained from tweaking the composition of an alloy#idk. i think its beautiful to think about the web of human knowledge woven collectively by thousands of hands across history#could you imagine what the ancient greek engineers who first put together the prototype for an aeolipile would think to see what we have#made now. could they even recognize our designs as belonging to the same category of object as their little toy#anyway#appreciate the humble steam turbine with the same eye you give to the reactor core#mine#just my thoughts

Since I'm going bonkies mode over my Pearl/Silver timeskip story today, I'm going to ramble about timeskip designs
So. This thing. I drew it in 2016, apparently. I honestly like how Pearl came out, but I've never been happy with Silver.

So, Silver timeskip designs. There are several camps of this.
First, many people like drawing Silver as the new leader of Team Rocket, taking over for his dad. This is cool, Silver has that evil guy smirk, he pulls off the look. However. This is only valid as an alternate universe Silver - because (idk what he's doing in the Adventures manga but) in basically every depiction of Silver, it's explicit from the beginning that Silver hates Team Rocket and wants to be nothing like them, and this never changes as his character develops. I know people fall into cycles and time can change people, but I refuse to accept any timeline where Silver is depicted as admiring his dad and seeing him as a role model. It's cool as an au, but you cannot sincerely believe actual Silver would do this.
However, Silver does have a man he clearly sees as an adult role model, if not father figure. And that is Lance. Silver's whole character arc is started by Lance as much if not more than it is by the protagonist, and Silver spends much of the game echoing Lance's words to himself as he struggles with what he lacks and how he wants to change himself. Post game, he trains in the Dragon's Den, which explicitly teaches those same lessons. Lance is someone Silver eventually wants to grow up to be more like, and he would perhaps try to embody that goal by putting on a silly cape and jump suit. Many people design timeskip Silver like this. I personally took that route, though I struggled with that decision even back then, because of my next point:
Silver also, just as explicitly, thinks the cape and jumpsuit look is stupid. He says this multiple times to multiple people, including in the post game. Silver loves Lance, but he does not want to dress like him.
I knew this, even back in 2016, but the problem is I put him on Mt. Silver, and trying to expand on his jacket from his canon design, I always ended up in jump suit territory. And it's just cool to put the mysterious isolated final boss man who's training in the mountains in a cloak. And cloaks look like capes, and he had the jumpsuit, so. It became a cape. And this is justified because Lance Role Model.
Anyway, I was thinking about how I'd do it today, since it has been nearly 10 years. I don't have a clear idea even now, but I did come up with a really funny idea: give him the cloak (because it's cold up there), and have him insist for the rest of his life that it is NOT a cape! Capes are still dumb!! I wasn't wearing a cape though!!!!
#it's not about him but it's the same universe so we'll tag this as#titanium#and also I have thoughts about Pearl timeskip designs but those are far more based on interpretation#Gamefreak wants you to believe that Palmer is a good dad and I can't fault you for doing so. but also. I don't.

The Douglas X-3 Stiletto was an experimental aircraft that aimed to test sustained Mach 2 flight, employing titanium structures and a short wingspan design. Part of the "X" series of early jet-powered aircraft, it followed predecessors like the rocket-powered X-1 that broke the sound barrier with USAF Captain Chuck Yeager. Despite high ambitions, the X-3 had limitations due to the use of underpowered Westinghouse J34 engines instead of the planned J46, impacting its speed. After initial tests by Douglas, the USAF, including Chuck Yeager, and NACA took over testing for stability and control, during which the phenomenon of roll inertia coupling was unexpectedly encountered. Although considered underpowered, the X-3 contributed valuable data, influencing the design of future aircraft, such as the SR-71 and F-104 Starfighter, with advancements in materials like titanium. Ultimately, the X-3 transitioned to the National Museum of the United States Air Force, illustrating its contribution to aviation history.

Apple Watch Ultra 2 in Black Titanium
Back in October I went to the Apple Store and bought myself the Apple Watch Ultra now I have had many Apple Watches since the beginning HOWEVER I've been waiting since Apple first announced the Apple Watch Ultra for one specific version Black Titanium.

When they finally released the Apple Watch Ultra 2 in this sleek finish, I knew I had to get my hands on it. Now, after wearing it for a few weeks, I can confidently say that the wait was more than worth it. I absolutely love it, and I won't be swapping it out anytime soon.

Design: Black Titanium Elegance
One of the main reasons I held out for the Black Titanium version is its distinctive, understated look. The deep black finish gives the watch a sleek, sophisticated feel that matches almost any outfit or occasion. Whether I'm heading out for a walk with the dog or attending a formal event, the Black Titanium offers that perfect balance of ruggedness and elegance. It’s not too flashy, but it certainly catches the eye of those who appreciate fine design like myself.
The build quality is, as you'd expect from Apple, exceptional. The black titanium feels robust yet lightweight, making it comfortable to wear throughout the day. I also love how it resists scratches, keeping the watch looking fresh and new even after continuous use. The finish isn't just about aesthetics it’s durable.
Performance: Next-Level Features
The Apple Watch Ultra 2 is much more than just a beautiful piece of tech. It’s a powerhouse when it comes to features. From the enhanced brightness of the Retina display to the improved S9 chip, this watch performs like a dream. The always-on display is one of my favourite aspects because it’s so useful in everyday situations, and the Ultra 2 makes it even better with crisp details in all lighting conditions. Whether I'm using it for walks, GPS tracking, or just checking notifications, the responsiveness and smoothness of the watch are noticeable upgrades.
Battery Life: Unmatched Longevity
Another standout feature of the Apple Watch Ultra 2 is the battery life. I mean I am typing this blog up at 4.05am and I have had it on my wrist since 11.30am and it’s only on 80%. One of the reasons I wanted the Ultra model in the first place was for its extended battery life, and the Ultra 2 does not disappoint. I can easily go days without having to charge it, even with heavy use. This is a game changer for someone like me, who’s always on the go and doesn’t want to be tied down by daily charging.

After years of being an Apple Watch user, I can confidently say that the Ultra 2 in Black Titanium is by far the best I’ve owned. It's not just a gadget; it feels like a part of my daily routine, enhancing everything from my walks to productivity. And let’s not forget how great it looks on my wrist. It’s stylish enough for any setting, yet tough enough to handle whatever life throws at me.
I won’t be swapping this out anytime soon this is the one.
