TMS8828 multi-zone time-of-flight sensor from ams OSRAM 🔍🤖🌐

We stock many ST VL5 series ToF sensors (https://www.adafruit.com/search?q=VL5), but it's always a good idea to peek at what else is available on the market. Here's a multi-zone Time of Flight sensor from ams OSRAM - the TMF8828 (https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/ams-osram-usa-inc/TMF8828-1AM/16285671) with 8x8 zones and up to 5 meters detection. Here's a quick QT breakout for this sensor and the support circuitry so we can try it out. Coming soon.

ZTE just released its Axon 11 5G smartphone, and now it is preparing another Snapdragon 765G-powered phone with 5G capabilities. It will be called ZTE a1 ZTG01 and will arrive in July, but its specs were already revealed by the Japanese carrier au. The phone will have four shooters on the back, sitting in a square setup in the upper left corner and a flat screen with a punch. The Snapdragon 765G chipset of the ZTE a1 ZTG01 is coupled with 6GB RAM, 128 GB storage and you also get a microSD slot for up to 1TB of expansion. The phone is built around a 6.5” LCD with Full HD+ resolution. The quad-cam setup on the back has a main 48MP cam + 8MP ultrawide shooter + 2 MP macro + ToF sensors, according to our rusty Japanese. The selfie shooter is listed as 32 MP. Other specs of the ZTE a1 ZTG01 include the battery, which will be 4,000 mAh, Android 10 out of the box, and all the latest connectivity options - Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, while the 5G connectivity is on the sub6 spectrum. Like all tech companies, Apple is greatly affected by the COVID-19 outbreak which disturbed global supply chains. But that doesn't mean there will be a delay in the 2020 flagship iPhones expected this Fall, insiders said to Bloomberg. Each year, the Fall iPhone lineup enter mass production around May, which in turn means that this year's 5G-enabled iPhones production is still on schedule. The epidemic in China is under control and factories are nearing their full capacity. The damage, however, is already done. The rumored iPhone 9 that was supposed to be announced this month, but now it is reportedly delayed indefinitely as its mass production was supposed to be taking place just when all the factories were closed. Plus industry experts are still worried about the supply chain for already existing Apple products. In some countries, the company has already taken measures and it's selling only two iPhones per person. Additionally, the newly launched products are going to hit the market with a significant delay. Take the new keyboard accessory for the new iPad Pro, for example, it was announced just the other day but currently its estimated shipping is in May - a fairly unusual delay for the company. There have also been reports of Apple warning customers about delays in iPhone replacements. That's because Apple isn't outsourcing its assembly lines and manufacturing facilities just in China. There have been issues with the production and assembly in other countries as well, like Malaysia. Italy, Germany, the UK and South Korea are also on the list.
