things that happened in my kindergarten classroom today
1. introduced my plush seal to everyone and now they affectionately refer to him as "floppy" and gave him pets ("his flippers are so soft!!")
2. promised to trade pokemon cards next monday morning with one of the kids who noticed the pokemon stickers on my laptop
3. said kid also promised to bring in a gengar sticker for me and told me about his shinies in pokemon go
4. gave a student two tickets for helping me during my short lesson and she ran around to her friends saying "i got TWO tickets!!!!! :D" while everyone cheered
4. handed out gummy bands for valentine's day and accidentally created a new virus because the kids kept licking at their wrists

I follow a couple blogs on here that post random Pokemon cards throughout the day and I keep seeing ones that I own like Dang... I got a lot of these things. It's not like I've got an unbelievable collection, but I do have a fair number of them.
I should really go through the Pokemon card holders that I got from a Rise of Darkrai McDonald's promotional event almost over a decade ago...

Kinda tempted to drop my Changbin & Seungmin collecting cause I am simply not making any progress and there's a Jyp boycott going on anyway but at the same time I know I probably wouldn't manage to get rid of the cards cause unpopular members and I'd lowkey feel so so bad dropping them after 2 years of collecting them and making so much progress before...

Why do i do this to myself?
Currently sleeving my entire bulk collection and putting it into color coded binders because I need to have my entire collection sleeved and organized for some reason
#i think this might be where my autism shows#im not normally a list making autistic#but i do also have all the contents of the binders in their own lists so i can keep track of my stock for trades and such#i have it as specific as which cards are foils or not#i use manabox for it all but its still such a long manual process#but one i am determined to see to the end cause its SO SATISFYING to see all these cards in organized binders alphabetical by mana cost#and also it makes deckbuilding easier cause i can flip through my binders and skim what im looking for#or at least it will once i get it all finished#i’m organizing number 3 of 7 binders#4 of 7 if you include the price binder in that which is constantly being updated#oh mannnn but this will be SOOOOO worth it i swear#also slotting them in the binder and then feeling how thick the pages are is so satisfying#my entire stack of binders right now weighs like 25 pounds#so i can only imagine how thick theymll be when full

The idea of spending 25$ on a trading card with a little piece of fabric on it that a wrestler wore at some point is so ridiculous but also fascinating. Also the fact that it’s called a relic card like the bones of a dead saint or something. But instead of the body part of a religious figure it’s a scrap of t shirt fabric a jock actor wore once
