Back in March, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard delivered a view of Iran to the House Intelligence Committee that was in line with Trump-administration policy: hostile toward Tehran, but also skeptical of the need for American intervention. Unfortunately for her, though, things have changed in the past three months.

“Iran continues to seek to expand its influence in the Middle East,” Gabbard said. Nevertheless, she said, the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) “continues to assess that Iran is not building a nuclear weapon and Supreme Leader Khomeini has not authorized the nuclear-weapons program that he suspended in 2003.” (Presumably she was referring to Ali Khamenei and not his long-dead predecessor, Ruhollah Khomeini.)

That may have been President Donald Trump’s view in March too, but this week, Trump told reporters that Iran is on the verge of getting a nuclear bomb. When asked about Gabbard’s testimony, Trump dismissed it. “I don’t care what she said,” he said. “I think they were very close to having one.”

This kind of harsh dismissal of American intelligence was a hallmark of Trump’s first term in office. Shortly before his inauguration, he compared intelligence agencies to Nazis, and somehow things got worse from there. He infamously sided with Russia’s Vladimir Putin rather than the intelligence community on the question of Russian interference in the 2016 election, accused former officials of treason, and reportedly clashed with DNI Dan Coats over his unwillingness to take his side in political conflicts.

That problem was supposed to be solved in his second term. Rather than choose someone like Coats, a former senator who had experience with intelligence, or his successor, John Ratcliffe, who claimed he did, Trump nominated Tulsi Gabbard, a former Democratic member of Congress who had endorsed him for president. (Ratcliffe, having proved his loyalty to Trump in the first term, was named CIA director.)

Gabbard shared a few things with Trump: an odd affinity for Putin’s government, and a public stance of opposing American intervention. But above all, her qualification for the job was that she, like Trump, bore a huge grudge against the intelligence agencies, making her an ideal pick in his Cabinet of retribution.

Now the limits of this approach to appointments are coming into view.

Gabbard’s beef with the IC was her sense that it was too belligerent and interventionist, especially with regard to her pals in places such as Syria and Russia; she was also angry because she had reportedly been briefly placed on a government watch list for flying. Gabbard opposes foreign wars, and it appears that she doesn’t want intelligence to implicate her friends overseas. But when the intelligence points against American intervention, as it does with Iran, she is happy to stand behind it despite her skepticism of the analysts.

Trump, by contrast, doesn’t want the intelligence to complicate his choices at all. The president was fine with the IC assessment from earlier this year, when his line was that he opposed wars and would keep the United States out. But now that he has made a quick shift from trying to restrain Israel from striking Iran to demanding Iran’s “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER”—a baffling demand of a country with which the U.S. is not at war—and contemplating American attacks, the conclusion that Iran isn’t that close to a bomb is a real hindrance.

Politico reports that Trump was annoyed by a video Gabbard posted earlier this month in which she warned about “political elite and warmongers” risking nuclear war, and she was reportedly excluded from a Camp David meeting. (The White House has insisted that all principals are on the same page, though Trump’s dismissive comments about Gabbard earlier this week are telling.) Cutting out the DNI at a crucial moment like this is an unusual choice, though the role has never been well defined: Although it was created to sit atop the U.S. intelligence agencies and coordinate among them, officials such as the director of the CIA have often wielded more power.

Trump’s saber-rattling has created rifts within the MAGA coalition, as my colleagues Jonathan Lemire and Isaac Stanley-Becker reported yesterday. In reality, Trump was never the dove that he made himself out to be. He has consistently backed American involvement overseas. During the 2016 election, he claimed that he had been against the Iraq War from the start, placing the idea at the center of his campaign even though there is no evidence for it. As president, he escalated U.S. involvement in Syria, backed the Saudi war in Yemen and vetoed Congress’s attempt to curtail it, and—in one of his major foreign-policy successes—assassinated Iranian General Qassem Soleimani. Throughout his first term, he treated the troops as a political prop.

These tendencies have become more pronounced in his second term, though Trump’s favorite places to send troops remain within national borders: in the streets of Los Angeles or parading through Washington, D.C. He launched a series of major strikes against Yemen’s Houthi rebels, despite the misgivings of his dovish vice president, and then abruptly stopped them when it became clear that no easy victory was forthcoming. This is the crux of the matter with Iran too. Although he may be hesitant about American involvement overseas, Trump loves displays of strength. He sees one in Israel’s attacks on Iran, and he wants in on the action.

Whether the MAGA doves believed Trump really was one of them or simply hoped they could persuade him in the moment is something only they can answer. But his actions this week show that his real resentment was not toward intervention or even intelligence itself. It was toward anything and anyone who might restrain his caprices.

This is for the young Black woman in my class last year who, on the day of Kamala Harris’s visit to campus, said, “You’re going to hate me, Dr. Armstrong, but I’m not going. I’m voting for Donald Trump.” Why would she think I would hate her for the way she votes? What has happened to our country?

Somehow, Donald Trump has changed my mind. Where I once saw a cartoon white supremacist, warmonger, and narcissist, I now see the man who renegotiated NAFTA and the only president in the twenty-first century not to start a new war. Where I once saw the pal of the neocons, I now see a man who has awoken from his slumber and disavowed Dick Cheney, George Bush, and John Bolton, even as my own party embraces these “men.”

Why has the greatest entrepreneur of my generation (@elonmusk) risked his career to side with Trump? Why has the most consequential grassroots environmentalist of my time (@RobertKennedyJr ) sacrificed friends, family, and reputation to side with “The Orange Menace?” Why has the most courageous peace activist of the twenty-first century (@TulsiGabbard) left our party? Because Tulsi, Bobby, and Elon see what I see. Donald Trump is resilient and he’s risking his life to change the fate of our nation. Trump is transforming the Republican Party into the party of peace, free speech, and the working-class. He has converted George Bush’s billionaire boys club of Big War, Big Ag, and Big Pharma into a party that cares about public health and embraces regenerative agriculture.

Now I don’t think the GOP is all the way there yet, but they’re clearly the party that embraces dissent, and dissent—brave speech—is the fuel for evolution. So, for the first time in my life, I’m voting Republican. In the name of peace in Ukraine and free speech here at home, I’m casting my vote, as a Kennedy Democrat, for Donald Trump.

It's difficult to say which of Trump's nominees is the absolute worst. They each have their own unique combinations of woeful incompetence, hyper-partisanship, and personal failings. But it's certain that Tulsi Gabbard would do the most harm to US national security.

According to ABC’s report, the aides said that the failed presidential candidate regularly read and shared stories from RT—a state-run media outlet formerly known as Russia Today—even after being told that it wasn’t a credible news source. Gabbard’s former staffers suggested that they didn’t buy some claims from Democrats that their former boss is a “Russian asset.” But they do believe she’s become a staunch advocate for one of the United States’ chief adversaries thanks to her routine consumption of pro-Russia propaganda. It’s unclear just how much consuming news from these outlets shaped Gabbard’s worldview. In fact, her former aides said that Gabbard read news from a plethora of outlets, ranging from stories peddled by far left factions to articles from extreme-right sources. But Gabbard’s views on Russian aggression in Europe, specifically, have become increasingly eyebrow-raising since her days as a Democratic House member representing Hawaii. The aides provided ABC News with an internal memo that Gabbard sent to staff in 2017, for instance, which showed her extending unwarranted sympathy to the Kremlin. Among many other damning things, the former Bernie Sanders loyalist-turned-MAGA apologist complained about the United States’ “hostility toward Putin” and bemoaned the fact that “there isn’t any guarantee to Put that we won’t try to overthrow Russia’s government.” “In fact, I’m pretty sure there are American politicians who would love to do that,” she added. These fresh allegations against Gabbard have heightened some Democrats’ fears about her securing a spot in Trump’s Cabinet. Ivo Daalder, a former U.S. ambassador to NATO during the Obama administration, told ABC News that the thoughts outlined in Gabbard’s 2017 memo were “basically the Russian playbook.” He also expressed anxiety that she could soon be charged with overseeing America’s most sensitive intelligence assets.

Even some staffers associated with the incoming GOP Senate majority think Gabbard is compromised.

Reporters have been writing glowing articles about Donald Trump's chief of staff Susie Wiles, praising her ability to keep Trump in line by blocking the cast of freaks Trump pals around with from having his ear.

CNN reported that Wiles has been successful at “instilling a level of discipline and order rarely associated with the former president” and that before taking the role she got “assurances from Trump that she would have more authority than her predecessors in controlling access to the Oval Office.” The Hill newspaper reported that Wiles will succeed because she is “a savvy political player who is also able to navigate the many clashing personalities that come with campaigns.” Yet a little more than a week since he was elected, Wiles already appears to have lost control. On Wednesday, Trump nominated accused child sex trafficker and alleged illicit drug user Matt Gaetz to be attorney general. Politico reported that Trump decided to nominate Gaetz after having a conversation with Trump lackey Boris Epshteyn, while Wiles was in another room.   The nomination has angered Republican lawmakers, many of whom loathe Gaetz for being a sleazeball and an instigator who many say is only out for himself.

I know that tomorrow will be an awfully long day. Good to see a few people and play a few notes...but...exhausting. (I am exhausted just thinking about it.)

I head out to Brooklyn quite early. Told that there is to be a percussion sectional rehearsal. As I might have guessed, the auditorium is not yet opened. Finally we get in and set up.

(This is the sort of thing that happens when you do a non-Union job. No one is responsible. No one is watching the clock.

Percussion rehearsal. Then rehearse with the rest of the orchestra. A break. Walk to nearby deli. Must eat something before taking my meds. A tightness in my chest. Geez. I hope this doesn't persist.

The concert goes okay. We are playing on Kenichi's percussion instruments but I don't know when he is picking them up. He's such a busy guy.

Trip home on train. Exhausted. Try to watch a little football. Not terribly successful in this. Later, drift in and out of sleep. Awaken with the TV still on. Nice to be home.

Author Ashu Verma Chaubey is an electronics engineer, who after a brief stint at DMRC, Delhi, moved to Gujarat after marriage and then pursued English honours from SOL, Delhi University.

After an active married life of four years, everything came to a halt in her life for a period of about eight years due to troubles in pregnancy related issues and then later due to looking after her very premature triplets. All her passions including writing took a backseat during those years of her life.

It was during the lockdown, that mounting mental pressure of looking after the kids alone during those difficult days, ignited her passion for writing once again and she started her second innings with some poems, which have now transformed into a vast collection of blogs, articles, flash fictions, micro tales and poems in Hindi and English on many online platforms. She has also been a part of many Indian and International anthologies.

She mostly loves to write on women's issues and inspirational themes and has also recently published a solo collection of 21 poems titled, "Shades of a woman, Beyond her lihaaf" portraying various unsaid emotions of a woman.

Sanjali Mittal, Living in Ambala, Haryana and born on 29th August,2004. She is currently perusing Computer Science Engineering from India’s Top Private University: Amity University.

for writing 200 2 linears in 200 minutes. She has been awarded by Talent Pillar Awards, Fabo Awards, Go Inkzodiac, Ingenious Galore, Inkzoid Shining Stars for being the achiever and iconic personality of the year 2022. Currently focusing on some more records to make and break.

She likes to represent her thoughts, feelings, emotions through writing. She is a state level sports player in fencing and badminton. Sports is her first love as she loves to play all sports and she has won around 70+ prizes.

It’s been a long time is in writing field. She is also a writer, co-author, compiler, and project head. Not only this, she is now thinking to have her own venture in the writing industry with the help of Mr. Durlav Sarkar(founder of Inkzoid Foundation).

Shri Venkateshwara University commemorated the World Environment Day with a Grand Plantation Drive & Environment Awareness Rally.

Shri Venkateshwara University/VGI Meerut commemorated the World Environment Day with a Grand Plantation Drive & Environment Awareness Rally.

Along with the UP Forest Department, we hosted a seminar wherein the speakers appealed to plant more trees and make India polythene free.

The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi, Senior IFS Officer Mr SP Singh, & the Forest Department Senior Police Officer Mr. Amit Rathi inaugurated the event by offering flowers to Goddess Saraswati.

In collaboration with the UP Forest department, the Venkateshwara Group planted over 5000 plants in both the campuses & the national highway & pledged to protect & promote them.

These included Banyan, Parijat, Tulsi, Gooseberry, Neem, Jamun, Rudraksh and many types of plants.

On this occasion, we felicitated over a dozen constables, forest guards, rangers, DFOs, & Inspectors by presenting them a shawl & memento.

The Group Chairman, Dr Sudhir Giri, reiterated it’s a wonderful coincidence that today is the birthday of our honourable CM, Mr. Yogi Adityanath.

To achieve PM’s mission of a clean India Green India, we should make it a habit to present plants on social occasions such as marriage & anniversary. This way we play our part in nation development.

Senior IFS Mr. SP Singh asserted the Venkateshwara Group is renowned for offering quality education & its social obligations. In this context, the UP forest department has aligned with Venkateshwara Group and planted over 5000 trees to improve the environment.

The Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi announced we can reduce global warming & pollution by planting more & more trees.

Those present included the Registrar Dr Piyush Pandey, Dr CP Kushwaha, Dr Vivek Sachan, Dr Yogeshwar Sharma, Dr SN Sahu, Dr Ram Kumar, Dr Anil Jaiswal, & Dr S Baghel.

Everyone hates and fears him, and yet... No-one knows much about him, about his fears and what lingers within him.

Sage comes from Althtal, a war-ridden country, though he doesn’t remember much

The only bits he remembers are being raised by his grandparents and the fact that he wasn’t much like people surrounding him, he was definably different

He can control magic and somehow use it, although he is very weak and can’t do much now

His grandparents tried their best to let him escape and Sage himself promised he’ll soon return to help people as much as possible

And so, teen Sage escaped from his old home and found his way into Porrima, completely lost and quite helpless

Until a certain Tulsi took him in and cared and provided for him

Sage is quite important to her and she wants to give him a good life, so she searched for people, who could help him with stuff she couldn’t

so, magic

Sage learnt many types of magic, but there’s one type he became deeply interested in... Blood Magic.

While he was quite a respected healer, he did think a lot about necromancy and everything life-related, and how he could affect it with magic, spells and summonings

Sage still remained rather quiet and introverted, even after meeting and helping so many people, he just isn’t too good with relationships

But! Once he gets to the Starsworn, he meets Felix, Anisa and Rime, and they actually become quite close!

you know that meme “you’re my friend now. we’re having soft tacos later”? yeah, that’s them. they just casually claimed sage as their bestie and honestly, sage is content with it 

They’re a fun team of pure dumbasses and then there’s Rime-

Though, a rumor spreads that some healers are actually bad people who do scary magic and hurt people

Don’t worry, Fefe, Ani and Rime are still on Sage’s side, although some people do believe Sage is a sussy baka

Enough so that they sometimes harrass and pick on Sage

And one time, Sage is actually saved by Lucan! He is very much interested in Sage and actually wants him to join his group, cos they do need a healer and Sage seems good enough

Also cos Lucan finds Sage cool and quite a fun guy to have around; Sage does join them and, quite frankly, feels at home, even though some people still believe he does bad stuff

And so, our kitty cat man lives a double life - being a healer of Starsworn and a good pal of many many Griefers, what could go wrong?

Yet he’s still into questionable magic and secretely starts learning it

His interest is more important than what people think, but of course soon enough he’ll be stronger than them!

Yeah, Sage gets kinda weird, maybe gets a god complex or something...

Tulsi does learn about his interests and begs him to stop for his safety, but Sage doesn’t comply and well, a huge fight starts between them, and Sage leaves

He lives with Griefers, but still has good contact with his Starsworn pals and so he acts like nothing ever happened

Fefe does joke around about Sage possibly being a necromancer (not knowing he slowly is becoming one lol) and so, sometimes he calls Sage a “Nekomancer” or just “Neko”, which Sage doesn’t enjoy much

His pals say they don’t care if he is one, Sage is their closest friend no matter what; if Sage every needs anything, they’re here for him and they will support him no matter what

Even if Fefe and Anisa are iritating sometimes and Rime spews out some shit you’d never imagine him saying

oh so wholesome uwu <3

But there’s an issue.....  *this happens before LoS War*

Sage sees Lucan die. Lucan did forget to mention that he once got corrupted and the corruption spread like wildfire. He hid it away from others, under layers on clothes and bandages, hoping it’d one day leave... But it didn’t.

Yup, Lucan was thirsty for blood and suffering... Many people died from his hands, and the more he killed, the worse his corruption got

To the point of him literally wanting to murder Sage and rest of the Griefers. And since Sage seems so soft to manipulate and so Lucan invited him over one night, where he confessed to his hunger, to everything he did and well.....

Sage literally saw him change into a beast who tired to attack him. Sage tried to protect himself from Lucan and eventually saw him die from multiple injuries he obtained from chasing after Sage. 

Sage was terrified and didn’t know what to do, so he just kinda tried to somehow heal Lucan... but y’know, Lucan’s dead, so he couldn’t do much

Sage realized he might be accused of Lucan’s death, so heartbroken, but he did try and left his body behind

And believe me, the rumor spread like wildfire

Sage backstabbed The Griefers. He did something to Lucan in order to make him suffer and take over his place. Sage is not only a danger to everyone, but a monster. He. is. a. MONSTER.

He probably was a spy or an very ill-minded person... no matter, he’ll have to pay for what he has done.

And none of it is true, but Sage is in danger

He hides his face under a mask made from some fabrics and a skull, changes his attire into a simple, rather raggedy one and...

He abandons everyone and everything, leaving his old life behind, and escapes away from Porrima

He hides away in a rather remote area, living all by himself and hiding away from the world

In there, in his little place he built, Sage decides to focus on his studies.

His health doesn’t matter, his scars and wounds don’t matter, the corruption he feels inside doesn’t matter. Only his goal matters now.

He’s going to prove his innocence. He’s going to show everyone he deserves his honor.

He’s going to bring Lucan back.

Sage is rather introverted, he doesn’t really show his face or care for himself or want to return to Porrima, though he is worried about his friends and family. He’s a doormat, shut-in, a shy and mysterious one, but he does open up a bit around his friends. He does blame himself for Lucan’s death, but over time realizes it’s not his fault. Once he gets closer with MC, he is very attentive and caring. He loves MC no matter what, for him MC is perfect. He doesn’t want much in return, but he would enjoy MC staying around and keeping him company. He agrees to mostly anything MC proposes and wants them to stay safe and happy. Soon after, he reveals his face and asks them for help, something he probably never did. And for all of you dirty-minded people, once he’s comfortable enough, he does like when MC aids him (he’s totally a bottom lmfao)

. and well, here’s neko! this took ages to write down, but i must say that i originally worked only on him before deciding to add felix and rather almost everyone else lol btw swapped felix might be next! also, sorry for how chaotic everything is, i’m not the best writer, but i hope you’ll understand his story lol

Shri Venkateshwara University conducted a tree plantation drive and oath ceremony to address global warming and environmental pollution.

Shri Venkateshwara University, VGI Meerut & the UP Transport department jointly organized a mega tree plantation drive cum oath ceremony & exhorted all to plant more trees for a cleaner environment.

They also encouraged to discard polythene for protecting the environment for future generations.

The Venkateshwara Group Founder President Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi & the CG Mrs. Babita Verma inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati.

The CEO, Mr. Ajay Shrivastava, & the VC Dr Krishna Kant Dave joined them to unveil the tree plantation drive cum oath ceremony.

In this context, the Venkateshwara Group, along with the Transport dept. planted 2700 saplings.

We planted them in the University campus & on both sides of the national highway & pledged to conserve them for environment protection.

The College Management along with Mrs. Babita Verma, Assistant Transport Officer (Administration) UP Govt. planted Banyan, Parijat, Tulsi, Peepal, Aanwla, Neem, Jamun, Rudraksha, Bail & many medicinal & shade giving plants.

The students & staff, along with the dignitaries, pledged to conserve them for protecting the environment.

The Venkateshwara Group Founder President Dr Sudhir Giri reiterated lets pledge to gift plants on social occasions like birth, marriage anniversary & cultural events & realize honorable PM’s dream of a Clean India Green India.

This way, we can contribute to our part in the nation’s growth and development.

While speaking at the seminar about the importance of trees for Mother Earth, the Chief Guest and Transport Officer, UP Transport Dept. Mrs. Babita Verma, emphasized that the primary reason for global warming and climate change is the detachment of sophisticated and educated individuals from nature. 

We should conserve and promote nature only then development without destruction is possible.

She further said the Venkateshwara Group is known not only for excellent education but for promoting social causes as well.

For safeguarding the environment, every individual should plant more trees to curb global warming and pollution.

The Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi affirmed mega tree plantation drive is the most effective solution to stop global warming & environment pollution.

so  their  dad  is  the  mayor  !  he’s  been  roselake’s  mayor  for  a  while  now  ,  keeps  getting  reelected  bc  why  fix  something  that  seems  to  be  working  right  ..  aha  more  about  that  later  ...  &  their  mom  is  a  witch  !  only  on  the  down  low  though  ,  she’s  not  open  about  practicing  magic  &  is  much  better  known  for  and  adored  for  her  philanthropy  around  roselake  !  both  sora  and  seola  have  the  ability  to  use  magic  ,  but  while  the  gift  seemed  to  come  naturally  to  sora  ,  seola  high  key  struggled  with  it  /:

their  mom  was  a  very  patient  teacher  but  that  didn’t  stop  seola  from  feeling  inferior  to  both  her  sister  as  well  as  her  powers  in  general  .  she  very  much  felt  like  a  big  flop  ,  and  as  a  kid  &  preteen  she  struggled  a  lot  with  jealousy  and  frustration  and  just  feeling  second  best  in  a  sense  ?  basically  she  really  felt  like  she  was  letting  everyone  down  when  in  reality  the  only  person  who  was  putting  pressure  on  her  was  herself 

in  good  old  2010  ...  13  year  old  seola  &  sora  snuck  into  tulsy  woods  (  even  though  their  dad  always  said  never  to  go  in  there  )  to  play  around  with  their  magic  ,  got  into  an  argument  ,  and  that’s  when  seola  accidentally  ended  up  hurting  sora  really  really  badly  ): 

after  the  accident  seola  wanted  to  give  up  magic  forever  ,  but  her  mom  convinced  her  that  the  best  way  for  her  to  get  over  her  fear  of  ever  hurting  someone  again  was  to  practice  .  so  while  sora  got  closer  to  their  father  ,  who  had  covered  up  the  accident  in  the  woods  and  used  it  to  spread  his  own  agenda  ,  seola  got  much  closer  with  their  mom  

determined  to  get  better  at  controlling  her  abilities  and  also  super  terrified  that  she’d  hurt  someone  like  she’d  hurt  her  sister  if  she  didn’t  ,  seola  practiced  and  practiced  ...  then  she  practiced  some  more  .  while  most  people  her  age  were  going  through  high  school  focused  on  going  to  college  afterwards  ,  seola  was  counting  down  the  days  til  she’d  be  free  to  do  nothing  but  learn  as  much  as  she  could  about  being  a  witch  

it  was  around  this  time  she  also  started  to  get  ...  suspicious  about  her  dad  and  his  intentions  .  she  was  grateful  that  he  didn’t  tell  the  truth  about  the  accident  ,  scared  ppl  would  have  viewed  her  as  a  monster  if  they  knew  what  really  happened  ,  but  the  way  her  dad  was  acting  about  tulsy  woods  was  super  suspicious  especially  with  everything  happening  with  the  harvest  goddess  and  the  sprites .  basically  ...  seola  suspects  he  might  have  something  to  do  with  whatever’s  going  on  in  the  woods  ... 👁️👁️

after  high  school  seola  stayed  in  roselake  !  she  didn’t  go  to  college  like  sora  ,  much  to  her  dad’s  dismay  ,  but  she  did  take  some  online  classes  here  &  there  (  mysticism  and  rituals  ,  alchemy  ,  some  history  ones  ,  as  well  as  a  medieval  monsters  literature  class  ...  just  for  fun  <3  )  she  also  snagged  a  job  at  subtext  as  a librarian  ,  mainly  for  that  sneaky  access  to  all  the secret garden  books  

initially  she’d  just  been  curious  about  her  own  magic  ,  since  she  knows  it  doesn’t  come  from  the  harvest  goddess  like  a  sprite’s  magic  does ,  but  with  everything  going  on  she’s  extended  her  research   to  include  both  the  goddess  &  the  sprites  to  see  if  maybe  she  can  understand  whatever  her  dad  is  trying  to  do  in  roselake

not  2  be  cliche  but  she  really  is  a  mysterious  girl  SJDBWJBDJW  since  she’s  haunted  by  the  idea  that  she’s  essentially  always  on  the  brink  of  losing  control  and  hurting  someone  again  like  she  did  with  her  sister  ,  she’s  got  a  very  elusive  personality  .  she  tries  her  best  not  to  get  too  close  with  anyone  ,  but  unfortunately  for  her  it’s  the  kind  of  cool  and  detached  air  about  her  that  usually  makes  people  curious  to  know  her  ,  especially  since  her  twin  sister  is  so  seemingly  open  &  very  focused  on  her  reputation  in  roselake  .  seola’s  always  tells  herself  stuff  like  oh  to  be  a  fly  on  the  wall  ...  😔  but  the  reality  is  she  doesn’t  want  to  be  invisible  to  people  at  all  ,  she’s  just  traumatized  from  the  accident  in  tulsy  woods  /: 

so  you  have  her  enigmatic  persona ... versus  her  deep  desire  to  be  understood  and  loved  despite  whatever  dangerous  and  uninhibited  thing  she’s  convinced  lurks  around  inside  her .  yeah  ...  she’s  not  so  good  at  following  her  own  don’t  get  too  close  with  people  rule  SJDBWJDJW  most  of  the  time  what  ends  up  happening  is  her  pushing  those  who  are  already  close  away  ,  only  to  reach  for  them  again  later  ,  only  to push  them  away  ...  you  get  it  .  it’s  easy  to  write  her  off  as  a  moody  rich  girl  if  you’re  not  in  her  circle  ,  but  it’s  deeper  than  that 

she’s  got  a  bad  habit  of  fixating  on  things  and  then  letting  them  consume  her  .  sometimes  it  works  to  her  benefit  ,  like  focusing  so  hard  on  practicing  her  magic  and  finally  becoming  good  at  it .  most  of  the  time  ,  though  ,  her  curiosity  morphs  into  obsession  ,  and  it’s  very  easy  for  her  to  get  overwhelmed  and  feel  lost

BAD  INFLUENCE  :  i’d  love  for  someone  who’s  trying  to  get  seola  to  dabble  into  darker  magic  /  abandon  her  quest  to  figure  out  what’s  going  on  in  the  woods  and  save  the  harvest  goddess .  she’s  pretty  hard  to  sway  if  she  thinks  she’s  doing  the  right  thing  ,  so  bonus  points  if  your  muse  is  good  at  manipulation  and  has  a  convincing  case  that’s  more  than  just  oooh  be  bad  ;)  

SPRITES  &  MAGICAL  BEINGS  :  sorry  human  muses  ...  these  are  not  for  you  </3  i  would  love  if  any  of  the  other  witches  /  wizards  helped  seola  on  her  journey  to  practice  her  magic  and  get  better  at  it  !  maybe  someone  who  knows  what  really  happened  with  sora  in  the  woods  but  still  decided  to  help  her  /  not  judge  her  ,  OR  maybe  someone  who  knows  what  she  did  and  is  now  scared  of  her  /  doesn’t  think  she  should  be  doing  magic  still  at  all  .  as  for  sprites  i  think  seola  would  be  super  curious  about  them  &  the  harvest  goddess  ,  so  maybe  some  sprites  who  are  willing  to  talk  about  their  abilities  with  her  and  their  connection  to  the  goddess with  her  &  are  maybe  even  working  with  her  to  try  and  figure  out  what’s  going  on  in  roselake  .  then  on  the  reverse  of  that  maybe  sprites  who  think  seola’s  too  nosy  for  her  own  good  ,  or  who  don’t  trust  her  because  they’re  also  starting  to  get  suspicious  about  the  mayor  ,  or  maybe  they  just  don’t  trust  any  magic  that  doesn’t  come  from  the  harvest  goddess  

MAYOR LIM  :  if  you’re  trying  to  get  to  her  father  for  whatever  reason  ,  sora’s  definitely  the  easier  ticket  in  ,  but  maybe  your  muse  is  trying  to  be  less obvious  about  it  so  they  try  through  seola  !  i  would  also  ...  really  love  someone  she  can  sneak  off  with  during  town  events  where  her  dad  is  involved  when  she’s  supposed  to  be  with  her  family  promoting  that  shiny  lim  reputation  hehe 

SISTER  SISTER  :  connections  through  sora  !  this  is  ...  always  the  best  part  of  having  a  sibling  in  the  same  rp  you  get  to  make  connections  through  them  so  give  me  all  sorts  of  stuff  it  could  be  dramatic  like  your  muse  hurt  sora  &  now  seola  hates  them  or  it  could  be  wholesome  too  !  not  2  be  cliche  but  ...  love  triangle  anyone  ...  just  kidding  ...  unless  ?  🙈
