Your Guardian Angel Chapter 1
Pairing: Caleb x MC
Summary: You're on a mission called Save Big Apple. (You learned what happened to Caleb as the control to him goes 100%)
A/N: Caleb has been in my brain for weeks and I wanted to indulge myself in writing about saving him. The song Your Guardian Angel is very Caleb coded to me (not helping that his clothes are appropriate to the era when the song was released too lol)
Words: 2,123
Chapter 2
Tags: Hurt/comfort, minor violence and injury, character death implied!, descriptions of loss, grief and trauma
“Okay, almost there,” you panted as you typed frantically, you are in the last leg of your mission. The most important mission of all: Save Big Apple. Your mind wandered despite your fingers and your concentration on the screen was fixed.
You spent months of researching and pulling strings to get to the bottom of it. Day by day, Caleb is starting to behave strangely. Even in your first meeting with him again, it felt that there was an invisible barrier between you two. He didn’t delve into details since he always kept secrets and went off somewhere in his meetings as the colonel. He can read you like an open book, he knew something was up, but you know how to keep yours as well. You tried to work things out for him and it did, yet in the culmination of your investigation, it becomes trickier.
“I knew it, you’re behind this,” you heard a voice. Before you could react, you felt a field of power around you, keeping you still. ‘Shit, no!’ Your eyes moved, seeing Caleb in the corner. But this isn’t the Caleb you knew anymore and he knows this. “You don’t know what you’re in for, pipsqueak,” he said sternly. Don’t believe his lies, you thought. This isn’t the warm-hearted Caleb you loved… As they already got him, the whole 100% of it.
It’s all because of you.
“Can I still convince you to leave this place and just be the pipsqueak I knew?” he asked. His eyes didn’t shine like what you used to see. He looked emotionless, he looked… Like a robot, being controlled by a more powerful force. “Do you think I didn’t know what you were up to?” He said, circling before facing you. “I saw what you’re doing, disabling my cameras, making lame excuses…” he counted. “It’s too late, there’s no coming back for me. I’m the ultimate weapon, to keep you safe,”
“This is not ‘keeping me safe’,” you exclaimed. “I don’t need no protection especially from you!”
“Keep saying that while being under my control,” he said, his voice louder, his gravity powers got stronger, making you go to your knees. He walked closer, lifting your chin. “Stop this, let’s just go back to our warm home… I’ll be more focused on you… On us…” he said, his hand ghostly hovering to the apple pin on your hair, the same pin he gave you many years ago. Your eyes flickered, you feel this is a trick, but it felt genuine, it felt that somewhere in there inside him, your Caleb is still there. You breathed, this has to end here and now. You flicked your wrist, a metal bracelet beeping under your sleeve, to activate the anti-gravity mechanism. His eyes widened when you could move against his gravity and were unable to block your kick to his face. He stumbled back, he tried to use his gravity again, but you keep moving.
You never thought it would come to this day, you thought you would only do sparring with him as he is your partner in battles. Never expected for you to fight against him, to point your guns at him, just to knock some sense out of him. Your saw in the peripheral of your vision in the screen that the disabling control under Caleb is almost halfway. You saw him grunt in pain as they are trying, and replaced with anger, not the anger you hit him, but because you defied him. The same anger that he shows to his enemies.
“You asked for this…” He said menacingly. Caleb runs towards you fast, you were surprised at how fast he is. You shoot a few rounds before he is getting too close, you dodge him, but he grabs your wrist. You struggled but he is stronger when under control. He disabled your gun and it was thrown away from you. Before he could grab the other one, your body reacted in danger, you pointed the gun quickly and shot his arm.
“Argh!” He said as he recoiled back in pain. A gunshot pierced his mechanical arm, now revealed from its fake skin, its circuits fraying and fizzing. He was surprised that a bullet pierced him, it is usually more durable. His eyes widened in realizing that you are using an electromagnetic gun to put more damage on the arm… To the chip. You procured technology specifically against him.
“Did you just shoot me?” he said, almost in disbelief. “Do you want me dead again, huh…” He muttered as his fists clenched. He winced and grunted in pain. He shook and held his head. “Snap out of it!” you yelled. He screamed. “No!” He said as he runs fast and his damaged arm grabs you by the neck and slams you on the wall hard. “Ah!” you exclaimed, making your gun fall. You felt pain all over, especially your back and neck. You felt the metallic taste in your mouth as your sight went dizzy. Caleb remains unresponsive, just the emotionless face of no mercy. “You are such a pain!” he yelled as he slams you again, making you scream in pain and losing your vision. “You must be put into your place,” he said. “Your Caleb is long gone. He can’t protect you anymore,”
You heard a loud beeping noise and sirens blaring, and the server screen flashed: MEMORY ACCESS DISABLED, SERVER SHUTTING DOWN.
“You-!” he said in shock before he held his head again and grunted, stumbling back. He grunted, his eyes blinked, having light and life again. Your sight slowly darkening as you are unable to move. He looked at you, being confused. “Pipsqueak?” he said, then realized and became horrified. Caleb stared at his hands, one of which was severely damaged, one had blood, he trembled and went terrified, thinking he had hurt you. He runs to you, screams your name as you smile, weakly presses a button hidden in your suit.
The server explodes, a huge series of explosions follow, stumbling Caleb backwards and knocking him unconscious.
He mustered all his energy to open his eyes. He can’t… He can’t just stay still; he has to find you to know what happened. He felt so much pain all over, more on his damaged arm. He saw himself in a white room, lying on a bed with a lot of beeping noises and equipment attached to him. He has a lot of bandages on his body, his mechanical arm is almost limp, he is unable to move it anymore, but the pain still radiated to his shoulder. There are cuffs around his wrists. He looked on his side, he saw his apple pendant necklace beside him, along with the apple pin you had. He held on to both of them, but the pin was damaged and mangled while the necklace was still intact. As he looked at them, the doctor and nurse went in to check on him.
“Colonel,” the doctor said after he looked at his records. The nurse went to check on his vitals. “Welcome to the Hunters Association. Your vitals are well so far, now that you’re conscious. How are you feeling?” he asked. “Where is-” Caleb interrupted, only to whisper your name. The doctor and nurse looked at each other as the nurse finished her task and quietly left. “If you are talking about your companion in the server room, we found both of you,” he said. “I’m sorry Colonel, but she has passed,”
Caleb’s mind went blank, trying to process that the entire reason why he survived and went through all of the pain and misery… is gone, even so because of his own hands. He only stared at his hands. He felt numb because of so much pain, his heart pounding hard. “N-No… She can’t be… She can’t be!” Caleb said as he tried to calm himself down. He wanted to escape, to find you, to be with you. As he tried, he couldn’t move anything, his gravity manipulation was suppressed. “No! No! I want to see her!”
“Colonel,” the doctor warned. “She is under the Association’s hands now. The funeral is being prepared as we speak,” Caleb still struggled, his tears were slowly falling on his cheeks, feeling the remorse and guilt. The nurse looked at the doctor with concern as he silently signaled to leave and give him space.
He muttered your name over and over, until he was just a wreck of sobs. His eyes are tired and red; he has stopped crying, but he is shaking. He keeps thinking of scenarios about what he could do. If he could only bring you back to life, he would. He replays the last moments with you over and over, seeing you hurt, with his hand around your neck. He cannot believe he treated you that way; he cannot believe that the very reason he survived and endured being experimented on and modified, to protect and cherish, is also the same person he lost because of himself. He is having difficulty breathing, he felt his heart clenched, that he failed. He failed. Failed.
Maybe this is just a dream, the worst nightmare he needs to wake up to. His body keeps giving up, making him sleep again and again, but he wakes up, he is still in the same room hours later. He needs to do something, search for answers, and search for her. His hands are cuffed, but that doesn’t mean he can’t use his other body parts. He breathed, focusing on directing his energy. The wires and hooks on his body were slowly but gently removed, he hissed a little. Once he could move, he stood and looked at his surroundings. He went outside, making sure no one noticed him. He is thinking how to get rid of the cuffs and get to you.
He quickly turns around, trying to use his gravity manipulation to see someone looking at him behind. He glared at a short-haired lady looking at him with her gun drawn. She was carrying a box, but her hold on the gun was intentional.
“Colonel,” she said. She looked familiar, like he had seen you with her before. The uniform she is wearing is from the Association. “Go back to your room or else,”
“Else what, Tara?” Caleb said menacingly.
“I’ll call the entire Association for your ass and you won’t get this little box… From her,” she replied. It piqued Caleb’s interest.
So he stayed.
The box has a red and green apple scribbled on it, he knew it is from you, as you used to call him Big Apple before, as one of the endless nicknames you two shared, while you are the Small Apple. “What is this box all about?” he asked.
“She asked me to give it to you, in case shit happens, she said,” Tara answered.
“So you know what happened,” he said. “I really don’t have a choice, she approached me with this grand plan on saving her Gege,” she sighed. “Cat got your tongue, didn’t it? You didn’t know, despite how extreme your surveillance is,” Caleb glared at her, then looked back at the box as he opened it.
A letter was the first thing he saw, and full of papers. His hands shake a little as he picks it, it is a pretty stationery with his name written in your handwriting.
Dear Caleb,
If you're reading this, I probably am not alive anymore. It is okay, I accepted it already in planning my mission to save you. I was angry that you didn’t tell me the full story, we promised not to keep secrets, but here you are, I have to find out the hard way what they did to you. I made sure everything is arranged, so you can have a comfortable life, just like what you did to me. You've suffered for so long, I can't take it anymore. I just... I love you a little more than you realize. Please live a free life and be happy, you can be a pilot again or do whatever you love. The papers deemed you as deceased in your colonel position, as much as I like you being in a uniform, not so much in what they did to you. My insurance policy has your name as beneficiary, so you'll have funds to do whatever you like, maybe owning a cafe or travel the world. You protected me from everything, so I like to do the same to you.
Please live for me. Promise me this or else I’ll haunt you. I'm sorry I kept this from you. I love you so much.
Love,
Your pipsqueak

repair and maintenance qualification
[IMAGE ID, IMAGE 1: Digitally drawn One Piece fan comic featuring Robin and Franky, pre-time skip. The first panel shows Robin on her knees holding herself up over Franky's lap. They're facing each other, and Franky's backside facing the viewer. His chest can still be seen from the side and his endo skeleton is exposed, and Robin is holding up non distinct wires coming out of Franky's chest with her right hand, and gripping Franky's left shoulder with her left hand. Robin looks panicked while Franky looks her in the eyes, an exhausted and worried expression on his face, and tells her: "Hey, relax. You told me you could handle this." Franky's sitting himself up using his arms, his right arm has been stripped bare and is drawn completely robotic. It's depicted as a series of iron bars in the shape of Franky's large barrel forearm, the robotic internals can be seen between these bars, drawn as a series of vertical piping and wires, though it's dark and hard to see. Franky is wearing a light green shirt and his speedos, while Robin is wearing her Galley Company shirt and purple shorts. They are drawn in a sort of cartoony style with sharp geometric angles. The second panel, drawn in the corner of the first larger panel, shows a close up of Franky's half exposed chest. While still drawn in a cartoonish manner, the edges are all rounded. The synthetic skin on his left pectoral has been torn off, leaving jagged edges on the sides of the hole. His chest muscles have been replaced with a sort of iron lattice in the shape of pectorals, various random wires can be seen behind it in various different colors. Robin is hovering her hand over the exposed area of his chest, the yellow wires still in hand. She's saying, "Sorry, I've never had to repair something with a heartbeat before." The text appears as boxes outside of this panel, with the Sorry handwritten and shown above this panel, and the rest of the text typed out in a nice calligraphy font (pristina). Drawn over top of the second panel is a heart, drawn over the covered side of Franky's chest with veins streaming out of it in various directions, as well as a few random gears drawn in the top corners and the bottom middle of the panel. The background for the entire drawing are abstract multicolored zigzag lines, mostly in hues of blue and purple. Franky and Robin are colored in bright hues, but stay mostly true to their canonical color palettes. Robins hair is colored as a dark purple, is darker skinned, has black nail polish, and her eyes have greenish yellow sclera with red irises. Franky's nose is a dull green and has red pupils. IMAGE 2: Continuation of the comic. The background is a gradient of dark blue to black, getting darker on the lower side of the drawing. There are no panels, and only two drawings. The first is in the top left corner of the drawing, and shows Robin saying: "Why did you let me do this, anyways?" in large white italic text. There is a closeup sketch of her eyes, drawn in blue pen, looking up, worried. The second drawing, on the right side of the canvas, is a sketch of Franky, from the lower half of his face down to his chest. He still looks exhausted, but his shoulders are relaxed. Only Robin's arms are visible, and she has her left hand inside of his chest and her right hand lightly gripping the side of Franky's neck. Underneath the drawing, Franky says, "I trust you." typed in bold text. In the bottom left corner of the drawing is Robin's text again, and she only responds with: "Oh…" END ID]

My first ever story (and post) on this site! It's tilted inhuman and is about a girl named isabelle who do to genetic experimention is shrunken to four inches tall, it's also going to be told In multiple povs from each charater. the story can be a bit graphic and has a few mentions of suicidal thoughts so warning for that, otherwise I hope you enjoy.
Chapter one.
Isabelle
The first time I felt real hope in my life also ended up being the last.
I was nine when my father brought me and nine other kids to his lab where he and his team of seventeen scientists and three assistants researched the limits of the human body. I foolishly thought it was my parents showing an interest in something I was passionate about.
Science.
I used to love science. I loved taking the time to figure things out and learn about whatever I wanted in my own experiments, I loved picking things apart to find out how they work, and I loved the amazing feeling I got when I finally figured things out. But after i learned what it's like to be on the other end of the stick, whats its like to be picked apart for someone else to figure out how i work,
I hate science.
I pull my knees to my head as I try to conserve the very little warmth my cold cell provides. My eyes squeeze shut as the door creaks open, someone’s here. Nobody should be here, they only left two hours ago. I'm given six hours and thirty minutes of sleep every night after the experiments. Why is someone here? Please, god don't let it be another scientist wanting to play doctor with my tired body during the only break I'm allowed to have. I don't hear footsteps. It must have been the wind playing tricks on me. The familiar click of the door shutting once again gives me half an ounce of comfort as I realize I'm alone again. Everyone else is gone. I press myself against the cold metal bars of my cage and take in the room around me, the same overly clean environment that I've grown used to over the last ten years.
A sigh escapea my lips as I take in the sight of the table they use to perform their sick experiments on me, they hadn't even bothered to clean up my blood. No doubt they left it there to torture me further. The sight of my blood on the table only reminds me that I will never escape, not even death can free me from this fate. Death cannot save me if death cannot reach me. I close my eyes again and go through a mental checklist of what they haven't taken from me yet. my memories, my voice, my thoughts. My memories, my voice, my thoughts. My memories, my voice, my thoughts. I repeat in my head over and over, reminding myself that no matter what else they take, I will always have those three things, even when I wish I didn't. envy is the only thing that comes to mind when i think of the other nine kids who were here with me, partly because they don't have to live with their memories and their thoughts, and partly because they even got to die.
The first of us died of blood loss, so they altered our cells so that we don't get the luxury of bleeding out.
The second caught fire due to the actions of a careless scientist, so made it so our skin can't be burned.
The third had died from being pumped with too many drugs at once, so they made us immune to overdose.
The fourth had died of sickness, so they made us immune to that too.
The fifth had attempted an escape, so they diminished our size down to nearly nothing. He had died during the tests to see if that would work.
The sixth had suffocated herself with a pillow, so they replaced our lungs with a robotic system that produces a different type of oxygen that only our bodies could handle.
The seventh had been crushed to death, so they made our skeletons able to withstand the weight of buildings.
The eight had died of cardiac arrest, so they made our hearts fifty times stronger than any human heart should be.
The ninth had been dissected and stolen for parts.
I am the tenth. The result of how far you can push the limits of the human body, and that is only until they find a way to break me too. I glare at the pile of blankets in the corner, there covered in too much blood and grime to be even considered as usable. They refuse to wash the blankets, which we regrettably used as tourniquets to tie off our wounds back when all this first started. The smell of them used to be nauseatingly disgusting, and I almost wish I could get sick from being around them.
Maybe if I was sick theyd give me a bit of a break. I doubt it though, they would more likely find a way to make me immune to that too. I wonder how long it's been since I have had the cold or even a stomach flu. I wonder how long it will be till I get sick again. I wonder how long it will be until I die, or if I even will die. I used to think It was my right as a human being to have a proper death outside of a place like this, but would I still have a right to leave this lab if I no longer have my mortality? I shake my head as if I'm shaking off the existential crises before it can fully develop.
“Atlas, did you even bother to make a layout of the building?”
an annoyed whisper cuts through the cold silence, And a pit of dread starts to build in the bottom of my empty stomach. It wasn't just the wind. I get up too quickly in an effort to try and get a look at the intruder of the lab. This person is quiet, I haven't even heard their footsteps once since the door shut. Why are they so quiet? Could they save me? Could they hurt me? Where are they? My eyes scan the room as I try to find the ghost person that's sneaking around the room. It's better if I find them before they find me. Almost like the ghost I keep comparing them to, they've hidden themselves perfectly. Away from the sight of the four cameras in the corner of the room, and away from my view. I can't make out if there's one or two ghosts in the room with me. I heard the man say a name, but I only heard one voice. What if there's no one here at all? What if after ten years of living in agony and suffering has finally broken me?
If the ghost-man is nothing but a figment of my broken imagination, then it wouldn't hurt me to talk to him, to call out for help. It would ease the neverending loneliness that this place has instilled in my mind. But on the off chance that it is a real person they could be dangerous and here to hurt me further. Stepping away from the edge of the cage I go over the pros and cons of calling out to him. Pro, if he's fake he doesn't pose a threat. Con, if he's fake then I've truly lost it and will have know way of knowing. Pro, if they're real then they could save me. Con, if they're real they could be scientists. A sigh escapes past my lips, and at the same moment a beaker falls and shatters on the glass tile. A strong smell of bleach invades the room and the ghost man lets out a series of curses in an accent that sounds almost french. Why would my mind make him french? I shake the thought from my head almost as quickly as it forms, what's important now is that i can finally see him. He's in all black with a hood covering the upper half of his face, but I can see a small scar on the left side of his jaw. He's obviously very muscular even with his slightly baggy clothes, and is holding a pistol tightly in his left hand. Why is he armed?! I watch in paralyzed fear as the man looks up and meets my eyes. His brows furrow as confusion takes over his features, he lowers his gun to his hip and takes a cautious step towards me, I return his gesture by also taking a step back. He takes another, more curious step forward, and I again step back. We continue this back and forth until he's at the edge of my cell and I'm pressed firmly against the furthest wall of my cell.
A tense silence fills the room as we both stare at each other intently, watching, and waiting for the other person to make the first move. A chill breeze passes through the room and a shiver racks my tiny body. This man is huge next to me. I've grown used to being man handled and grabbed by scientists whenever they wanted to use me for their sick experiments, but for this ghost-man to stand in front of me and really let me take in his size, its a new form of torture that none of the scientist could even hope to come up with. What if that's what this is? The scientist sending in someone to fuck with my head when they ran ran out of ways to deystroy my body. “Que diable…” the man breaths out a sigh as his shoulders slump with what seems like defeat. What the hell does “que diable'' mean? He's definitely real if he's speaking a language I don't know. He almost seems just as and if not more confused than I am. His eyes shift to the rotten pile of blankets sitting in the corner of my cell. And I feel heat rise up my neck and dye my face a subtle shade of pink from the embarrassment of this stranger seeing me in such a disgusting state. I straighten out the threadbare dress that hangs loosely on my body, before attempting to fix out my hair. I don't know why I care about how a stranger views me, maybe it's because he's the first person who's seen me in years who wasn't actively trying to hurt me. I flinch as he raises a hand that's bigger than my whole body, and gestures to me, more specifically my height. “Are you. . . Isabelle liana?” he asks, his thick french accent breaking through the silence, and my breath hitches in my throat when he says my name. I press myself up further against the wall, the cold metal pressing against my skin. He knows my name. Why? There's not a chance he's here to do anything good if he already knows who I am. I shake my head no, lying in the hopes that he'll leave and not hurt me. “Do you know where I can find her?” he asks, and i shake my head once more, i don't think he has good enough eyesight to catch the fact that i'm trembling with fear of what he may do if he finds out that i am in fact, isabelle liana. “Why, why do you need her?” My words are rushed since I'm not sure how well my vocal cords work now since I've only been using them for screaming the last year. His eyes widen and his face shifts to one of shock and slight confusion at my sudden refound voice, and it takes him a few moments to regain his confusion. He rolls his head as he contemplates the way he could phrase things. Does he think I am a child? “Her brother hired me to find and rescue her.” he explains, shrugging his shoulders and leaning down to peer into my cell once more. I shudder under his heavy gaze, but as his words sink in, hundreds of thoughts rush through my head, one playing louder than all the rest. “Damiens okay?” I regret the words the moment they leave my mouth, and the regret buries itself deeper in me as a smile spreads across his face. “You know damien?” he asks, a playful hint to his tone,
“Yes.” i respond.
“And you're not isabelle?” he asks.
“I am not.”
“How do you know damien?” he crosses his arms and leans on his left hip. “Family ties.” I confidently replied. “Like a brother?” He raises his eyebrow. “Yes.” I cross my arms in return. “So you're isabelle?” he tries to suppress his smirk. “obviously.” fuck. I don't know if it's sleep deprivation or hunger, but this guy is starting to annoy me more than scare me. A grin plays on his lips as he chuckles quietly, I flinch at the sound and take a step back. My eyes go wide as he pulls out a small pair of dull looking scissors out of the large bag he wears on his hips, but they dont look like normal scissors. They're bigger than his hand and seem like they should be stored in a tool box.
“What is that?!” I shout, now fearing for my safety once again with this ghost man. “Chain breaker.” he replies blankly, before raising it to the lock of my cell. It moved to the far back corner, getting as far away from his chain breaker as I could. “I'm ronan, in case you were wondering.” he tells me as he swings open my cell door. I gasp, the only barrier between him and my safety easily stolen without a care in the word from him. Tears brim my waterline at the thoughts of everything he might do to me if i dont get away from him. But I can't. He's blocking the only exit with his way too big hand that is now entering my cell. Oh my god his hand is in my cell. My eyes snap shut and I put my hands up defensively. “NO!” I cry out, and a small sob escapes my throat. the warmth that's been radianting off his hand leaves my cell. And I almost want it back. Sobs rack my pathetically small body as he just watches, I bet he's just struggling to contain his amusement at seeing me like this. He was lying about knowing damien, he guessed i had a brother and this is all just one big trick set up by the scientist to torture me even more than the already have. My sobs soon turn to wails as I realize that I indeed am going to die without seeing my brother again, Ronan, if that even is his actual name was just sent here to bring false hope just so they could rip it away one last time before they finally kill me. And that's only if I still can die, they might bury me under ground and leave me there to starve or dehydrate, whichever comes first, then study the effects it has on my inhuman body. No one will reprimand these awful people for everything they've done to me and the nine others who lost their lives in this place, they'll bring in a new batch of kids and do the same to them, and all our deaths will be in vain. I flinch when I feel a finger begin to gently pat my back, and I jump away from it. “Hey, hey, calm down, stop screaming.” he says, as he puts his hands up so i can see there not doing anything to hurt me. “I already told you this but i'll tell you again, your brother, Damien Liana, hired me, Ronan Moreau, to rescue you from this place.” i shake my head no, not wanting to believe a word he's saying, this man has managed to go from terrifying, to annoying and back to terrifying, and i don't think i could trust him even if i tried. I flinch hard again when I notice that he's slowly extending his palm towards me. But it stops before it even enters my cell. “Please, I promise I'll get you out of here safely.” he says, and i wipe some of the never ending tears off my cheek. “Pinky promise?” I whisper, and he chuckles at my childish request. His hand shifts so that he's holding out his pinky finger to me. I hesitantly hold mine out as well. Because of the immense size difference we can't interlock our fingers, so we just touch the tips together. It may not seem like much, but it means alot to me that he was willing to go along with such a childish request for the sake of my comfort. This time, when he reaches out a hand for me to climb onto, I take a deep breath, and step onto the hand that's offering me the freedom that I have been praying for.

ive been thinking about it and actually i fucking hate this post
it's such a perfect encapsulation of this annoying knee-jerk reaction people have to the term "AI" that's only matched in its uselessness by techbros cumming in their jorts every time stable diffusion returns a picture of anime girl with big boobs and 6 fingers.
1- this is a totally different type of AI. in the current climate "AI" is used for a thousand different things and let's be honest, the obfuscation is deliberate. that's how buzzwords work, it means everything and anything, the tech world loves these. AI is the new metaverse. but like, come the fuck on? what does a robot that finds waldo have to do with glorified image denoisers.
2- finding waldo faster is not good/useful, though it is a fun novelty. but that's barely the point here. the point is this robot's algorithm can be trained to find a little guy in a crowd very fast. do you not understand why someone would build this? think of using this type of thing to identify cancer cells, if you want an application for it that's good and useful. replace the where's waldo book with surveillance camera footage if you want an application for it that's bad and evil.
3- on a more personal note... does art need to be smart? does art need to have a point? does art need to be useful? does TECH need to be smart and have a point and be useful? i used to build little robots in my room and make them race or battle, that didn't have a lot of value outside of being fun. you know what's also stupid and pointless? me spending 6 hours drawing. like, let's be real, i'm not making the world a better place by depicting hatsune miku with a huge cock and tits to match no matter how many lesbians thank me for it. if you think something being stupid and pointless is bad then you're actually just as anti-art as the people who think boomer facebook memes about jesus are the future of illustration, it's literally the same attitude that leads to people dismissing the entire field.

for the different versions of Kelly/Callie: 6 and 10 from the character asks? 👀
Thanks for asking! <3
6. What was the thought process behind their appearance? Did you go mostly for the aesthetic or are there other reasons they look the way they do?
Ooooh, boiii. What I do seem to remember is that I to a degree randomised the appearances of the members of Calamity's team (She originates as a transformers OC!). Calamity got a purple visor and the main colours were off-white and petrol blue. She takes some visual inspo from Ricochet--I mean, really some specific fanart. She has fangy fangs. Also, inspired by a particular fanfic's version of Wildrider, she has a strong Russian accent. -> Russian car -> Button-eye Lada, obviously.

Anyways. So then the human version.
Obviously her parents need to at least originate from Russia or former Soviet countries, what with the accent and everything. There's some Fivel Stewart and a bit of Lydia Graham there, but mostly I just went by vibes. She's pale because vibes, she has curly hair because vibes, she has black-brown eyes because humans can't have purple eyes and I didn't wanna do blue eyes since I find it trite, she has snaggle teeth to approximate fangs, she has glasses as a callback to the visor, she has piercings because vibes. She dresses like a Russian tracksuit meme. I do like to bring in the petrol/teal/turquoise and off-white as callbacks in her non-Cybertronian designs, too.
Merformers. Nuff said. She's based on a Fiji Devil Damsel.

The robot design is the newest one.
It's meant to evoke a couple of things. 1. She was found in the trash. She was pretty thrashed! So there's the leg that's clearly not original, and the arms, and the hand, and loads of the parts are different colours, to imply that everything is a bit cobbled together. The belly plates are original--yellowed--and most of the faded blue parts are original, but for example the torso plate and the one knee are replacements 3D printed from orange plastic and painted to hopefully match.
Her face is faded and there's a scratch on her lip. She's not a new bot. The light is a DBH callback; never, ever blue. Her hair is meant to evoke fiber optics.

And she's meant to look creepy. Creepy grin, tiny pupils. That's something that travels across all of her iterations; she's unsettling.
The 2nd thing her robot design is meant to evoke is danger. Sort of? The damage, the sharp claws, what's all that for? Yeah, she'll sit all cute wearing a wholly unnecessary human cardigan and call Kieran's dad "Dad" but she brings with her calamity.
10. What is their main character arc in the story? Where do they start and how do they develop? Do they get a happy ending or is their story a tragic one?
Calamity's story arcs are generally "learning to be a functional person, somewhat?" type arcs. Also romance. In the mer story, she meets Grace and finds herself motivated to try to be a legitimate member of a mer pod lest she get driven off from their waters. She wants her human! Fine! She'll jump through the stupid hoops to have her! Ugh! In the robot story, she's learning a lot of stuff from scratch, including the concept of having a family and protecting her own people, not because she has to, but because she wants to. For most other versions of Callie having a family and a choice is a given.
From the very beginning, Calamity and Gridlock have been two peas in a pod, with Grace|Gridlock as Calamity's (sometimes questionable) voice of reason and motivator-to-behave-according-to-society's-rules. Calamity by herself does not give a slag.
She always get what she wants, btw. Except in the story concept where Gridlock dies. It's interesting because, despite it all, Calamity would be able to continue on without Gridlock. Gridlock without Calamity? ... The whole Umbracon team would be fragged. Somehow, this mis-clocked loose cannon is the fuel keeping them all going.

knee replacement in vadodara
Types of Knee Replacement Surgeries We Offer
Total Knee Replacement (TKR) Total knee replacement is a surgical procedure in which the damaged knee joint is replaced with an artificial one. It is ideal for individuals suffering from severe arthritis or joint deterioration. Our Knee Replacement Hospital in Vadodara provides expert care to ensure that your total knee replacement surgery is as successful and pain-free as possible.
Partial Knee Replacement (PKR) In cases where only part of the knee is damaged, partial knee replacement is a minimally invasive procedure. It involves replacing only the affected part of the knee joint, which helps in quicker recovery and less pain post-surgery. Our Knee Replacement Specialist in Vadodara will evaluate whether this is the best option for you.
Robotic-Assisted Knee Replacement Surgery Robotic knee replacement surgery is the latest advancement in orthopedic care. With the help of advanced robotics, this technique provides more precision and accuracy during the surgery, leading to faster recovery times, less pain, and a greater range of motion. It’s the future of knee replacement, and Welcare Hospital is proud to offer this state-of-the-art service.
Knee Arthroscopy If your knee problem is not severe enough to require a full replacement, knee arthroscopy may be an option. This minimally invasive procedure allows our surgeons to inspect, diagnose, and treat knee issues using small incisions and a camera. It’s a great option for treating knee injuries, meniscus tears, and other joint-related issues.

SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT Gingaioh
Even though I was pretty meh on the GaoRanger SMP kits, I do have a few reasons for picking up the Gingaman kits. The first is that while it wouldn't be very hard to get the DX versions of Gingaioh or BullTauros (in fact, having this kit made me really want to track the DX down; such a fun design), GingaRhinos and GingaPhoenix are a different story. Because those two have a lot of small part and breakage issues, getting a good DX is ludicrous. And while I handled Gingaioh and BullTauros as a child, I've never had the other two in-hand, and would love a chance to experience them. The second reason is, oddly, scale. There are actually two Zords that have never been produced at full size; Bakuryu Brachiosaurus and GingaBitus. If you're unfamiliar with the latter, you may know it better as the Zenith Carrierzord, the big shark robot that deployed GingaRhinos and GingaPhoenix. It was never produced at a comparative scale, and I'm hoping that if they do produce it in this line that they'll fix it.
The Good: I've mentioned before that I enjoy builds like this, where it's several smaller builds that you then combine, and this one was no exception. While there are a few tiny changes, like how the legs lock, the combination is accurate to the original, while also adding a lot of posability. They even recreated Gingalcon's gimmick where you pull its tail and its wings fond simultaneously. While the posability is very simple, it achieves basically everything you'd need, and Gingaioh is capable of a lot of action poses. It's been a desk toy for a while.
Also, the original stored its fists inside Gaorilla's heels, and this one does so too. However, because of the proportion changes, if can actually fit both sets of hands in there, making it self-contained apart from the sword.
The Bad: It mostly comes down to changes to the proportions. Gingaverick and Gingat's back legs are skinnier, so they don't look as nice as the back of the arms, they both also have a small bit at the elbow bend to hide the split, but it would have looked nicer if it was thicker, and Gingarilla, while it would have been difficult to integrate, could have used that same type of bit inside its knees to improve the appearance of certain poses.
The Details: Apart from basic panel lining and fill, I replaced all but two of the stickers with paint. There were also a few areas on the legs where I added a bit of extra silver to match the existing details. I also used the blue stickers specifically on the skirt because I didn't want to bother fighting blue and silver paint there.
I should add, the plastic they used for these kits is very absorbent, and panel liner stains it if you don't wipe it off the excess almost immediately. So be quick, be careful, and maybe have a scraping tool on hand if you use ink at all on this one.
Overall, a much more fun kit than the GaoRanger kits. I've also built BullTauros at this point, which was another fun kit to work with. It has a few issues when transforming the sculpt into a posable one, but that's the only real issue it has. If you like Gingaman or Lost Galaxy, this is a great alternative to tracking down the original DX.

Samara has these empty but calm eyes and I wanted to exaggerate that ‘thousand year old being who can analyse your life worth based on the very strict code the justicar faith has imbued her with and also oh she WILL kill you.’ gaze.
And thennn. she meets my Shepard, the nicest person EVER (unless ur a fiend u know the drill) who I’m basing off a Caucasian Shepard dog btw AJDJDH [IM GOING TO GET SYMBOLIC OKAY] -‘where is your flock shepard’ type lollygagging u know. Big fucking scary hound dog but is very protective and kind to her flock.
Anyway Shepard is just genuinely. Kind.
But Shepard is scary in battle. Heavy front line biotic brrr.
based off of my gameplay I spend most the game launchinginto enemies and shot gunning them/
shes had her knees replaced four times. From biotic charge damage. She has a metal skull. When she comes back from the dead she has no ‘am I just a robot’ panic because she was already halfway cyborg by the time mass effect rolls around. she’s like holy shit my shoulders don’t hurt WIN!!!
She destroys batarians eyes when killing them(Batarian faith says the soul leaves the body to the afterlife through the eyes) so she goes out of her way to destroy them (pay back for mindoir ❤️)
Samara thinks that’s beautiful. Do you understand my vision. Two insane women. The Shepard and the justicar UGH
Samara understands her, and Shepard understands Samara… duty to her role as spectre, justicar, rules…. I dont like how u pursue her romantically in the game tho I will establish that
Shepard was the oldest sister of four on mindoir.
#hello enjoy my word vomit#the Batarian eye thing is canon#I’ve decided when I’m planning characters I’m going to word vomit on tumblr then I have to commit to it
