Fic Summary: Filled with heavy guilt and grief after having killed his clan, the young Itachi travels to meet his new partner at the Akatsuki, and to assume his new life as a cold-hearted murderer. On the way there, however, he's interrupted by the appearance of a stranger, injured in a forest clearing. It's Sasuke, thirty-three years old and unrecognizable to itachi, having been stabbed in the Rinnegan and sent into the past. Will Itachi, feeling drawn to this older stranger, stay with him and forsake the Akatsuki? Or will fate inevitably pull them apart?
