Send “weird catch” for my muse to be a merperson caught up in your muse’s fishing net.

From below the surface, the metal holding the lowered net looked extremely shiny.��Was there such a thing as destiny? Was that what led Syntherea out of the darkest bottoms of the ocean to the reef? Maybe she had just wanted to peek at the surface for the first time in a while, maybe find a boat or crew to torment - instead, there she was, staring wide-eyed at the metal, blurred due to the waves. 

Her big mistake was approaching. 

Before she knew it, she was out of the water and caught in a net. Her head snapped to the sides, the mermaid obviously confused about she had ended up above the surface. The creature was long, about twenty feet with a sturdy, strong tail. It looked slick, but under the sun scales changed between pure black and a dark red. Her claws, long and undeniably sharp, tried to dig into the ropes in an attempt to cut them as she thrashed around. 

Understanding her language was unnecessary - anyone could tell those sharp clicks and hisses were clearly meant to insult whoever set such a trap.
