Just in time for Revenge of the Sixth, here's my first finished SWTOR art piece, featuring my longsuffering Jedi Knight and Sith Warrior, the best of foils and worst of nemeses. ⚡️

While I was writing an answer to a question involving Kerstes I tried to figure out her future, including if she'd have a partner or not. And answer quickly became 'yes', I just needed to decide who it would be. I had different ideas, but in the end settled down for just making a new character.

Born in nobility, Kaali never quite liked it - she always felt like her whole life has been chosen and planned for her (even when her parents tried to encourage her to do something she had shown interest in), and so at the age of 18 she left to live on her own.

She tried different paths, and after some time ended up trying bounty hunting, and found that she's pretty decent at it. Listening to a lot of gossip while growing up taught her how to find useful information among rumors, and self-defense training, paired with lessons she took from the guards when the parents didn't know, meant Kaali can hold her own in a fight.

At some point, the young mercenary tried to claim a bounty on Kerstes' head. Not out of malice, she simply wanted the money (and maybe a little adventure), and this bounty offered more credits than others. She, of course, failed, and the only reason she wasn't killed is that Kerstes wanted to know who put the bounty on her head. Kaali didn't know, but stuck around to help find the client in exchange for her life.

During the search, they got along pretty well, bonded over some stuff (for example, both growing up as nobility and wanting more freedom), and overall enjoyed each other's company (to Kerstes' surprise). By the time they found and dealt with the client, Kaali liked working with Kerstes and wouldn't mind doing that again, so she gave the Sith a way to contact her if needed.

And Kerstes did contact her shortly after surviving an assassination attempt. She hired Kaali to track Draahg (not to kill, she wouldn't stand a chance), and the mercenary agreed. She tracked him to Belsavis, where he set up a trap, and tried to warn Kerstes about it, but was caught and knocked out. Aftter he was dealt with, Kaali decided to travel with Kerstes to see her revenge through.

(I'm still deciding exactly how their relationship develops from there, so it's very rough, but I wanted to share)

And the second character is Anstinur, a Sith Lord who decides to help the Alliance and provide them the information on multiple Imperial operations, specifically those that Darth Nox is involved in.

This part will include some spoilers for 6.0 and any story after that, so be warned.

Since I'm now 100% sure that Jett's Alliance isn't going to side with either Republic or Sith Empire after Iokath and instead deals with other neutral factions, certain in-game events are not going the same way (for example, the Alliance isn't involved at all in preparations or the attack on the Meridian Complex in Onslaught). However, it seems that whatever is going to happen with Malgus' plan, it involves both the faction that captured him (in this legacy, it's the Sith Empire) and the Alliance, since they are the ones dealing with Heta (and she's now included in that plan), so I wanted to have a way for the Alliance to get the intel from the Sith.

As I said, in this verse the Sith Empire manages to capture Malgus, and now they are trying to understand his plan and stop it. Specifically, Auletta, as a member of the Dark Council, is heavily involved in this, and since Sith Empire and Alliance aren't working together, all intel about this is out of Alliance's reach. They didn't even think that Malgus was that big of a threat until their meeting with the Voss leaders.

Enter Anstinur, a Sith Lord who is respected for his contribution to the war effort in the second and third Great Galactic wars. Being on the front lines and witnessing imperial victories and losses firsthand, he understands the need for change, and he's been approving Acina's reforms. He also understands that Darth Nox is not embracing those changes sincerely, and her ambition and hunger for power are dangerous for the Empire. Anstinur suspects that she will claim all the glory from stopping Malgus and use it to challenge the authority of Empress Acina, so he reaches out to the Alliance, hoping that with his help they will be able to stop Malgus first. He's extremely careful with what information he shares (bc Auletta could track that), but in the end his intel gives the Alliance an edge.

(of course I need to see how the story goes in the game, so for now I'm waiting for future story updates, but I'm thinking about alternatives)

But there is more to his despise of Auletta than just disagreeing with her ways, it's more personal. See, at some point she pretty much ruined Emperor's Wrath's life, who just happens to be Anstinur's sister. His family put a lot of effort and risked a lot to make sure that Iressa would become a Sith despite her upbringing. They were very proud when she was named Emperor's Wrath, and to see all her successes stripped away because of Darth Nox was devastating. And Astinur wasn't going to let it go just like this.

I love writing ships, romance is one of my favorite things to write, but I will not enforce it, nor is it the only thing I will write. I don't force ship, and I appreciate if you do the same. That being said, if you ask, it's more than likely I'll say yes, we just need chemistry in our writing. My Revan is bisexual.

VERSES

The name he goes by during the course of KOTOR's story before the reveal is "Beau"

Main verse: Follows the canon of KOTOR, Revan and his friends stop Malek and he resists the temptations of the dark side again. Note that this blog does not follow the canon after the game. I have played SWTOR and read the Revan novel and I'm not a fan, I'd rather build my own future for him.

Sith: Follows the canon of KOTOR, but Revan chooses to side with Malek and betrays Malek for power. Revan is not a good man in this verse, he's power hungry and jaded towards the admittedly shady dealings of the Jedi Order.

High Republic: Revan can appear as a force ghost or I have an idea of a clone of Revan with his memories emerging in this era so he can interact with characters from the films. I'm not interested in him having a huge involvement in any major plot points, but Revan interacting and offering advice or helping out from the shadows might be a fun plot.

Mass Effect: A former Alliance marine turned mercenary and bodyguard, Revan offers his services to many high profile people on the Citadel. Trained in his biotic abilities and an expert swordsman, he lives for a life of credits and coin, uncaring about the grand war. Unfortunately, when the galaxy is at stake, he may need to offer his services to Shepard if he is to live and earn credits another day.

Dragon Age: A farmer's son turned knight in Redcliffe, Revan spent most of his youth training to live a life beyond the farmlands. Now bulky and ferocious on the battlefield, Revan has earned a reputation of being a formidable opponent, and thus offers his services to the Inquisition after meeting the Inquisitor, offering his brute strength and large form as a defensive shield for the mages in the Inquisition.

ASOIAF: A farmer's son as well, Revan instead becomes a sellsword, determined to live a life beyond growing vegetables. I mainly base Revan in Essos, but I'd be willing to put him anywhere so he may interact with a broad range of characters. His employment is always for sale, though a pretty face may get him to work for free.

1. How did your OC develop their closest friendship? What brought them and their closest friend together? What was their journey?

Now lets divide this because of diferrence of Shield of The Republic Verse and the SWTOR main stories one are quite diffrent Shield of the Republic: He doesn't have best friend. Not anymore. Hei Lang and Kamzo, the other two who was founders of the organisation, both died. There is bigger drama to it. Hei Land and Kamzo as lovers, Hei pregnat but stabbed by sith, losing baby, patch of revange, Kamzo trying overthron the Senate and make a second Empire focused on military to destroy Empire. Sall fighting Kamzo to prevent this ect... Sall become more like father figure to lots of organisation members, caled even papa by younglings that was saved during Zakuul wars and leting part of the HQ as temproary Jedi Temple before Alliance was formed.

(But i bet in Alliance Sall would be a bff with Talos over artifacts, Archeology buddies)

2. If there was any advice your OC could give to their younger self, what would it be?

Think 10 time before accept the offer.

3. When your OC gets homesick- what place do they think of? What does ‘home’ mean to them, if they have one at all? If there isn’t one, do they wish they had one and what kind of place would they want home to be? Do they have conflicting feelings about ‘home?’

Sall was born on Alderaan, so the plants, and nature always was part of him, in temple on smaller planet was outdor kid, never liked to sit inside. Thats the person whou will bring another plant hope and i not kidding you whole Shield of the Republic HQ have some kide plants all over the place, even at Armory they found place for it. Talon's confidence in herself and her self-worth varies greatly between her swtor verse and her canon Legacy verse. In Legacy, she is a third-generation Sith, regarded as a pedigree. From an early age, she received the finest education and was trained exclusively by Darth Ruyn, a formidable master whose sole focus was shaping her into a warrior strong enough to eventually surpass him.

Which, as we know, she eventually did, proving herself worthy of becoming Darth Krayt’s right hand. Even before that, she had already caught his attention. With each major challenge she conquered in her training and every milestone she reached, it was Krayt himself who personally inscribed her tattoos, marking her progress and his approval. All this validation gives her immense confidence - she knows she’s excelling. The One Sith also embrace all species. Collaboration is encouraged and even rewarded (though, as always, the dark side ensures that distrust and paranoia remain ever-present.)

However, her self-worth in her swtor verse couldn’t be more different. Born into slavery on Korriban, she is only granted a chance at the Sith Academy due to her strong connection to the Force. As a non-Pureblood Sith, she is immediately seen as inferior and weak. Both her peers and superiors actively attempt to sabotage or eliminate her, fueling deep paranoia and hatred. In this verse, she is even more desperate to climb the ranks, because in this world, power is the only path to survival and comfort.

And no matter how powerful she becomes or how many Sith Lords she kills to claim their positions, she still catches that look of disdain in the eyes of the Purebloods. She knows, deep down, that she will never truly be accepted. It’s a relentless, exhausting struggle, a never-ending attempt to carve out a place that will never fully be hers.

Heh, I wondered if that was the case but I was worried I might not know of a different abbreviation! Anyway, yes, I've got so much lore for my two primary ships, poelya & arachknight.

Poe and Volya probably have the most lore, on account that I've been writing them since 2021, and they've got more AU's and verses than I can count, but the concept of them actually came about for an AU me and my queerplatonic partner, @hermitmoss, cooked up where our prequel era (with a twist, here, since the universe they're from, the Sith no longer exist) self-inserts get time traveled to the sequel era, in the middle of the Poe comics storyline.

For (somewhat!) brevity's sake, I'll focus on Ghost Story for the Poe and Volya lore since it was the OG (though I'm always coming up with new ideas and revamping Volya; she's been my girl since 2018 and no matter how much I try, making any other self-insert for SW just doesn't feel right, with the exception of my SWTOR girlies).

I don't want to say that Poe and Volya are love at first sight, but it's fairly close in that they just kind of instantly click as friends: she's a pilot (in this verse), he's a pilot, and she loves cute droids and whaddya know! Poe's got a cute droid. So, she winds up paired with him on the flight back to D'Qar from Tython, and they spend the whole time bonding over their shared interest in flying, and Volya kind of instantly feels like she belongs in the Resistance.

They start dating pretty soon after - Poe asks her to go get caf (coffee) with him after they do a test flight and bond a little more, and with some prodding from Galaxy's Most Patient Jedi Ever (my qpp's OC, Brider), Volya realizes it's probably a date? One thing I really like about them in this verse is that, once they decide they're in a relationship, they're still getting to know each other. They're becoming best friends at the same time as they're falling in love with each other, and I really love playing with that.

For both of them, they feel very responsible for somebody else: Volya feels like it's her job to keep her best friend/sister safe and protected, and Poe feels like he's the only person watching out for Leia: both of them respect these relationships and try their best to help each other out, and understand duty comes first...but the longer they're together, the more they begin to learn to put themselves first. They both get each other, in different ways, to seriously consider their respective futures, and plan it out together!

There's so much more lore than that, but I don't want to like. Miss out on infodumping about arachknight either, so I'm gonna talk about them under the cut!

Arachknight is a relationship that I'm still fleshing out, because it's taken me a few years to really get down the main verse for Emilia worked out: it's a mental hodgepodge of my favorite things in Marvel, but again, for brevity's sake: it's an AU of what happens after Moon Knight.

We pick up a year later, and Marc is recently divorced (NO hate to Layla btw I'm a hardcore moonscarab shipper it just felt like the obvious trajectory for this 'verse cos I do not want to erase Layla in the slightest) and back at it again as Moon Knight, and on the hunt for a vampire that remains wildly elusive (this is an important plotline to keep in mind) and ends up in a bar called the Feather of Truth, where he meets chipper and chatty bartender, Emilia McKnight.

Emilia and Marc hit it off and become friends. I'm still working out how they eventually wind up together, but I think it's definitely more of a slowburn than poelya has (I at least know it's a year between them meeting and when they're in a relationship), but both of them are hiding their respective vigilante identities from the other: Emilia is retired, but she used to be Nephila, a spider-powered vigilante in New York, until a tragedy struck and she hung up her webs and moved to Brixton.

Howeverrrr, that vampire Marc's been hunting gets wind of Marc's identity and goes after Emilia to try and scare Marc off her trail, but it doesn't work, and then Marc and Emilia have to contend with telling each other the truth about their identities 🫢

Emilia's 'verse is still being fleshed out (and written! I'm working on a multichapter fic right now dealing with them finding out the truth about each other!), and I'm itching to start a new one for Volya, so I'm sure I'll start yapping about them at some point in the future too!

going to answer this for my swtor mains, rkorya and shenrihn, who I ended up sort of treating as a parallel/contrast set even though I made them at different times with very different approaches

rkorya was pretty much just an indulgent character to act out through bioware cutscenes at first, and got depth later, while I had most of my ideas for shenrihn at the time I made them. but they do still share a lot of overlap! they're both zabraks, they have a lot of personal meaning loaded into their tattoos, they both have a lot of depersonalizing/weaponizing themes going on - and perhaps most fun for me is that they end up serving the exact same roles to vitiate, the former sith emperor. both rkorya and shenrihn act as his tools and enforcers (albeit shen rather briefly), and both temporarily kill one of his many bodies... and eventually in one of the several different verses/endings I have in mind, they do work together to extinguish vitiate utterly in a super dramatic ritual

one fic I want to write at some point is a collection of moments where they almost met, because their paths came so close! so often! and then the extremely accidental time on yavin iv when shen finally decides to change their tattoos and the empire's wrath is kind of already getting hers done at the same place. whoops

MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU

Late to the party, but a reminder that I write Star Wars muses - in the Old Republic Era, with additional later-on verses for movies and shows. I'm redoing bios but right now I have KOTOR's Revan and HK-47 written up.

I have most of SWTOR's Theran Cedrax written up (a companion to the Jedi Consular) and will be adding his constant companion, Holiday.

Additionally, I'll be adding an old SWTOR muse, Seran-vin Kast, an Iridonian Zabrak bounty hunter who is very much anti-Sith, but also has an understandable beef with the Republic.

Under consideration are my Jedi Consular, Liana Raine Carmine as well as her cousin, Sith Inquisitor, Sarre-ha Carmine Kallig. Side eyeing KOTOR's Carth Onasi and Canderous Ordo, too... but that's further down the line. Sort of hoping I'll find those two out in the wilds of Tumblr's SWRPC.

TL;DR I love Star Wars and everyone should play Knights of the Old Republic, The Sith Lords, and Star Wars: The Old Republic asap.
