Vehicle GPS Tracking System UAE :
A Vehicle GPS Tracking System is a technology that uses Global Positioning System (GPS) and cellular communication to monitor the location and movements of vehicles in real-time. It is widely used for various purposes, including fleet management, vehicle security, and personal tracking. Here are some key components and functions of a typical Vehicle GPS Tracking System:
GPS Receiver: The core component of the system is the GPS receiver, which receives signals from multiple satellites to determine the precise location of the vehicle. This information includes latitude, longitude, altitude, and speed.
Cellular Communication: The GPS receiver sends the location data to a central server via a cellular network. This allows for real-time tracking and remote monitoring.
Central Server: The central server is responsible for receiving and storing the data from all the vehicles in the fleet. It also processes this information, making it accessible through various interfaces, such as web applications or mobile apps.

The U.S. Under Trump: Alone in Its Climate Denial. (Washington Post)
This article reminds me (as if I needed any reminding) that trump is a fucking idiot, but the mafia surrounding him are equal if not superior in idiocy. Will we (i.e., US citizens) "survive" this? Yes, but not without some serious damage to everything that ought to be important to us ("us" as defined as anybody other than the members of the trump cult).
Excerpt from this Washington Post story:
When the Trump administration declared two weeks ago that it would largely disregard the economic cost of climate change as it sets policies and regulations, it was just the latest step in a multipronged effort to erase global warming from the American agenda.
But President Trump is doing more than just turning a blind eye to the fact that the planet is growing hotter. He is weakening the country’s capacity to understand global warming and to prepare for its consequences.
The administration has dismantled climate research, firing some of the nation’s top scientists, and gutted efforts to chart how fast greenhouse gases are building up in the atmosphere and what that means for the economy, employment, agriculture, health and other aspects of American society. The government will no longer track major sources of greenhouse gases, data that has been used to measure the scale and identify sources of the problem for the past 15 years.
“We’re not doing that climate change, you know, crud, anymore,” Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins told Fox Business on May 8.
By getting rid of data, the administration is trying to halt the national discussion about how to deal with global warming, said Daniel Swain, a climate scientist at the University of California, Los Angeles. “The notion of there being any shared factual reality just seems to be completely out the window,” he said.
At the same time, through cuts to the National Weather Service and by denying disaster relief through the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the administration has weakened the country’s ability to prepare for and recover from hurricanes, wildfires, droughts and other extreme weather that is being made worse by climate change.
The president is also moving to loosen restrictions on air pollution, which experts say will lead to more planet warming emissions, and to overturn the government’s legal authority to regulate those gases.
Taken together, these moves are poised to leave the world’s biggest economy less informed, less prepared and, over time, more polluted.
Mr. Trump dismisses the threats posed by climate change, suggesting that rising seas would create more “oceanfront property.” He blames “climate lunatics” for environmental regulations that he says have been a drag on the U.S. economy.
The American retreat from climate action has made the United States a global outlier. Nearly every other government has recognized that a hotter planet poses a profound threat to humans and ecosystems. Not the Trump administration, which made the United States the only nation to formally withdraw from the 2015 Paris Agreement to limit planetary warming.
Around the world, countries are racing to adapt to a rapidly warming planet, reduce pollution and build clean energy. China, the only other superpower, has made a strategic decision to adopt clean energy and then sell it abroad, dominating the global markets for electric vehicles, solar panels and other technologies. Even Saudi Arabia, the second-largest producer of oil after the United States, is spending heavily on wind and solar power.

December 2005 - BUST MAGAZINE "GOD SAVE THE QUEEN"
Katie Jane Garside of Queen Adreena makes a royal racket
"KATIE JANE GARSIDE is either in drastic need of psychiatric help or she deserves an Oscar for best actress," a journalist wrote after witnessing a live performance of Katie Jane's former band, Daisy Chainsaw, over a decade ago. Descriptions of the British singer as a maniacal mental case have hounded since Daisy Chainsaw's first appearance and continue to dominate reviews of Katie's current goth-rock vehicle, Queen Adreena. Watching Queen Adreena at their CMJ showcase in New York, it's easy to see how Katie Jane spawned questions about her sanity, her drug use, and her acting abilities. She appears onstage in a tattered silk nightie, with mussed-up hair and lipstick smeared - looking not unlike the Courtney Love of yesteryear (incidentally, Courtney once praised Katie Jane as "the first real riot grrrl"). With the microphone jammed up inside her mouth, she attacks with a ferocious death metal growl and then quickly retreats into a soft stance, cooing like a breathy baby. Her eyes roll back as she yanks on her dirty blond ringlets and screams the indiscernible lyrics to "Medicine Jar" and "Pretty Like Drugs", both prime examples of Queen Adreena's melodic cacophony. As the Queen Adreena men keep the beat heavy and the guitars crunchy and strong, Katie Jane thrashes about, completely unaware that the strap of her dress has broken, exposing one of her breasts. Her request for a T-shirt 15 minutes later gives us only the slightest indication that she has returned to Earth. Offstage Katie Jane offers little insight into the musical mayhem I witnessed just 12 hours earlier. "I think that everything I do is embodied by confusion," she says while applying mascara in the mirror of her blue compact. "I'm constantly looking in the mirror trying to understand. Constantly turning myself inside out, which I don't recommend to anyone. But I don't know how to do it any differently." She admits that part of the confusion stems for her unusual upbringing - growing up in Saudi Arabia, attending boarding school at age nine, and living at sea for a year. Soon after settling in London, Katie Jane answered a musician's want ad that put her in touch with guitarist Crispin Gray, and thus Daisy Chainsaw was born. Their raucous debut single, "Love Your Money," scored rave reviews, international record deals, and an odd mention on the TV show Roseanne. But Daisy Chainsaw made Katie Jane miserable. She eventually quit and ran off to England's Lake District where she shacked up with an old lady in a "falling down purple house" to feel alive again. Years later Crispin tracked her down and lured her back to London with new music and a new group - Queen Adreena, which Katie named after a character she created in the purple house. Incest, sexual violence, and pedophilia are targeted with a vengeance on the group's latest album, The Butcher and the Butterfly (One Little Indian), a shimmering noise-fest born of melodies and anger. "My environment has chosen to spit me out, throw me out. So I'm here in reaction," she explains in a hushed voice. But in her soft words and in Queen Adreena, the sound of a woman's rage rings loud and clear. It's frightening, but also very beautiful.

Corporate America Owes the Rest of Us $87 Trillion
“The latest clue comes from those known lefty rabble-rousers at the, uh, University of Chicago Booth School of Business and the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. Booth finance professor Lubos Pastor and two Wharton researchers recently estimated that the social cost of the carbon emissions of US companies will amount to a cool $87 trillion through 2050. That was 131% of the total value of corporate equity at the time they measured and about three times the size of GDP.

This is researchers’ latest effort to quantify the damage rising temperatures will inflict on the global economy, and they keep getting more specific. A study published last year by the National Bureau of Economic Research estimated a 12% hit to global GDP for every 1 degree Celsius of warming above pre-industrial averages.
They’re also starting to zero in on the culpability of individual companies. Last month, Dartmouth College and Stanford University researchers published a study in Nature suggesting 111 fossil-fuel companies inflicted $28 trillion in global damages between 1991 and 2020. They even assigned numbers to individual companies — $2.05 trillion to Saudi Aramco, $2 trillion to Gazprom PJSC, $1.98 trillion to Chevron Corp., and so on.
To come up with their $87 trillion figure, Pastor et al. used the Environmental Protection Agency’s measure of the social cost of carbon. The metric is meant to put a price on the many ways a chaotic climate affects human health, property, social stability, farming and more. That hasn’t been easy or uncontroversial. The first Trump administration pegged the carbon cost as low as $1per ton. Biden’s EPA figured it should start at a baseline of $190 per ton for 2020 emissions and rise every year after, and this was the far-more-realistic scale Pastor's group favored. Trump’s current EPA would prefer to forget the concept altogether.
(…)
And that tally doesn’t include the many other companies and countries spewing greenhouse gases around the world. Topping the Carbon Majors league tables of the world’s biggest emitters, produced by the UK nonprofit InfluenceMap, are the former Soviet Union, China and Saudi Aramco. Only four US companies — Chevron, Exxon Mobil Corp., ConocoPhillips and Peabody Energy Corp. — even crack the top 25.
In other words, $87 trillion is a mere fraction of the total damage being done.
(…)
These damages might be cut by as much as a third if we could get our act together and meet the goal of the 2015 Paris agreement to limit heating to less than 2 degrees, the Booth paper notes. But we have strayed far from that path, which requires zeroing out greenhouse-gas emissions by 2050.
No doubt, weaning the global economy from fossil fuels quickly enough to get back on track won’t be cheap. It will cost $192 trillion in spending on electric vehicles, renewable power, batteries and more by 2050, according to BloombergNEF. But most of that technology is already mature and getting cheaper and more effective as time passes. As my Bloomberg Opinion colleague Liam Denning and I have often noted, $192 trillion is a bargain relative to the potential costs.

The Booth paper notes that an effective carbon tax — making emitters pay for their pollution — could offset the carbon burden. Unfortunately, such taxes are political poison. In fact, far too many governments subsidize fossil fuels. Between explicit handouts to encourage more burning and the implicit gift of not taxing carbon, the fossil-fuel industry gets $7 trillion in government largesse every year, according to the International Monetary Fund. Erasing that would go a long way toward covering that $192 trillion.”

(RNN) The Yemeni Security Forces announced today the arrest of a British spy network in December 2024. The network was linked to British Intelligence Service (MI6) and Saudi Intelligence Service.
The espionage activities aimed to disrupt Yemeni operations supporting Gaza. Intelligence services of America, Britain, the "israeli" entity, and their allies sought to create a database of strategic targets in Yemen.
Espionage activities focused on strategic sites including missile force facilities, drone sites, military and security installations, and the residences and movements of Yemeni state leaders.
British and Saudi officers recruited, evaluated, and trained espionage operatives in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Operatives were trained in monitoring, surveillance, information gathering, and the use of espionage devices and programs. Advanced communication devices and technical applications were provided for monitoring, tracking, location determination, and surveillance.
British intelligence used Saudi territory as a base for managing espionage activities. Missions and coordinates were assigned via Saudi officers. Spies conducted surveillance of sensitive military, security, and civilian sites, monitored state leaders’ movements, and planted tracking devices on vehicles.
Arrested operatives confessed to monitoring sensitive sites and conducting surveillance of state leaders and other targets. Security services committed to uncovering and arresting enemy espionage elements, recalling past successes, including dismantling British spy cells in 2020.
Those involved with enemy intelligence were urged to surrender to justice, with treason potentially punishable by death. The security services assured their capability to locate traitors.

China Halts Specialty Fertiliser Exports to India: After Rare Earths, Fertiliser Supply at Risk
China Halts Specialty Fertiliser Exports to India: Strategic Supply Chain at Risk
Following restrictions on rare earth minerals, China has now suspended exports of specialty fertilisers to India, according to recent reports. The move comes at a critical time, just before India’s peak sowing season, and is expected to impact availability, prices, and the country’s long-term agriculture security strategy.
The decision is believed to be linked to tightening global supplies and China’s focus on domestic agricultural demands. However, for India—a major importer of high-grade Di-ammonium Phosphate (DAP) and other complex fertilisers—the consequences could be far-reaching.
Why China’s Fertiliser Export Halt Matters
China is one of the world’s largest producers and exporters of phosphate-based fertilisers, including specialty blends that India relies on for crop productivity.
India’s domestic fertiliser industry cannot meet the growing demand alone:
Out of 10 million tonnes of annual DAP demand, India imports over 60%.
China accounted for a significant portion of these imports in recent years.
The suspension affects not only DAP, but other water-soluble and nutrient-enhanced fertilisers critical for high-yield crops.
Immediate Impacts: Price Shock and Supply Strain
The move has already triggered a spike in global DAP prices:
International rates have jumped from $720 to nearly $750 per tonne.
Some forecasts suggest prices may rise above $900, particularly if alternative sources are not secured quickly.
This surge will increase India’s fertiliser subsidy burden, with the government compensating the difference between market price and capped retail prices. Currently, a 50kg bag of DAP is sold to farmers at about ₹1,350, while import costs exceed ₹65,000 per tonne.
Policy Response: Diversifying Imports and Reforming Licensing
India is accelerating steps to reduce dependence on China:
Diversification of supply from Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Russia, and Oman.
Fast-tracking long-term agreements with global fertiliser majors.
Exploring investments in joint ventures and processing plants abroad.
At the same time, policymakers are being urged to overhaul the Fertiliser Control Order (FCO):
The current system involves state-level approvals and complex compliance, delaying production and distribution.
Industry bodies have recommended a ‘One Nation, One Licence’ approach to enable faster market access and domestic expansion.
Impact on Indian Farmers and Food Security
Farmers could face:
Short-term scarcity of high-efficiency fertilisers in key agricultural belts.
Rising dependency on less effective substitutes, possibly impacting crop yields.
Increased risk of cost escalation during the kharif season.
The government is expected to step in with emergency tenders and subsidies, but experts warn that unless long-term supply and pricing mechanisms are improved, seasonal shortages may become recurring challenges.
Geopolitical Undercurrents: Rare Earths, Now Fertilisers
This is the second major resource restriction from China within a year:
In early 2025, China curtailed rare earth exports, affecting India’s electric vehicle and electronics sectors.
Now, with fertilisers targeted, India faces mounting pressure to de-risk critical imports and bolster domestic capabilities.
The developments are being viewed as part of a larger shift in China’s trade policy, where strategic commodities are increasingly weaponized for geopolitical leverage.
Conclusion: A Call for Urgent Structural Change
China’s halt of specialty fertiliser exports should serve as a wake-up call for India. A nation striving for food security cannot afford such levels of dependence on any single supplier. Structural reforms in import policy, domestic fertiliser production, and subsidy management are now not just necessary—but urgent.
India’s long-term agricultural resilience will depend on how quickly it can secure diverse supply lines, build internal capacity, and insulate its farmers from global disruptions.
