"Huh. . . You're certain about that?" She found herself staring at the other, a hand coming up to hold her head up. It was interesting that the woman who was such a pain in the ass was connected to the one and only Steven Stone. Much less that said man could easily be found drunk at a bar. Vulnerable.

"And if something were to happen?" She smirked, raising an eyebrow, "Do you really believe you'd be able to save her in a state like that? Such a vulnerable woman, she is. She's long past her prime."

"Aw, isn't that cute?" She teased, a smirk forming on her face. Brianne had a feeling that even if he did recall this conversation, it'd be in bits and pieces with how much he's drunk.

"You have no idea what she's really like. You just see her as come precious, innocent being who could do no wrong. It's amazing how much she's been placated since the 'accident'." But then her smile grew into a smirk. "Wouldn't it just be terrible if the job was finished?"

He would never imagine how sobering it would be to hear Dianne referred to in that way. He had no idea who this woman was, but the only woman that Steven was even remotely associated with was--
