Tbh I had my money on lmk season five being the underworld/macaque lore dump & resolution season but given that info coming out points to it being primarily about Nuwa (win for feminism, calling nuwa as the Jade emperor replacement now) I would like to suggest the funniest possible thing for season five: mac shows up for like 3 minutes to be wildly unhelpful. and then goes to therapy or something idk he clearly needs it. He makes the executive decision to not get dragged into more of swk’s shit. he has already died once he’s good on the mortal peril thing. Picks up the phone like “MK that sounds super tough wish I could help but I’m sooo busy” & then he goes back to making his ugly (affectionate) little drawings or something.
