This new band for example – the Rolling Stones – they weren’t so damn hot! The Beatles, mark you, were different. Brian [Wilson] dug the hell out of those albums. And that Paul? Boy, what a talented guy! As for Bob Dylan . . . Well, Dylan actually scared Brian a little, made him uneasy. Brian was frightened in this almost child-like way: disturbed by something he couldn’t quite fully comprehend, yet fascinated all the same. Brian was getting this funny vibe off of Dylan’s whole sound. He confided to friends that he honestly believed Bob Dylan was out to destroy music with his genius.
<...>
McCartney had arrived at a Beach Boys recording session with Derek Taylor, the suave Liverpudlian who was on both the Beatles’ and the Beach Boys’ pay-rolls, two crazy guys sporting these heavy-looking moustaches like they were students from straight out of the Russian revolution. Of course Brian was in control – fat, bashful, weird Brian with his pudgy fingers forever fiddling with the ample bouffant fringe virtually obscuring his glazed eyes and the room fall of vegetables piled up to farther authenticate the vibrations that needed to flow through the performance of this song called not unsurprisingly ‘Vegetables’. Paul, who was used to eccentric behaviour in the recording studio, smiled indulgently and even nibbled a couple of carrots. Come to think of it, they’d had a hell of a good time together, even jammed out an eccentric version of ‘On Top of Old Smokey’. And at the end of a long evening with good old Derek doing the prompting – McCartney sat down at the piano and played a new song of his entitled ‘She’s Leaving Home’ that floored everyone present, even moving Marilyn Wilson, Brian’s long suffering wife, to a bout of unrestrained weeping.
<...>
‘The “Brian Wilson is a genius” thing? Yes, I started that off,’ confesses Derek Taylor, a laconic acid-era Ronald Coleman-type with a gentle scouse burr to his voice and a remarkably agile memory for one who fried his senses so ferociously throughout the late sixties. ‘It was my line: “Brian Wilson is a genius, I think.” I seem to recall it all came about because Brian told me that he thought he was better than most other people believed him to be. So I put this idea to myself and went around town proposing it to people like Van Dyke and Danny Hutton and they all said, “Oh, yes, definitely, Brian Wilson is a genius.” Then I thought, “Well, if that’s so, why doesn’t anyone outside think so?” Then I started putting it around, making almost a campaign out of it.
‘And I still believe it. Absolutely, Brian Wilson is most certainly a genius. It was something that I felt had to be established.’ Pet Sounds was about to be released when Taylor was taken on the Beach Boys’ pay-roll, receiving a handsome 750 dollars a month for renovating the group’s public image. Strategically, it was an extremely canny move – instigated, naturally enough, by Brian, who saw Taylor as a vital factor in establishing credibility for the Beach Boys’ image and his own new music. Derek Taylor was at that time the single most prestigious figure with whom to have one’s name linked in matters of promotion. He was very witty, very dry, a kindly soul, and also a Liverpudlian then resident in a city still totally besotted with folk of said nationality. Most decisively, he knew the Beatles and had actually worked with them and Brian Epstein. There could be no more spectacular recommendation. Once enlisted into the ranks, Taylor worked fast. The candy-striped shirts that had for so long symbolized the Beach Boys’ image were conveniently ‘lost’, while marriages – all had been wed for some time now, unbeknownst to their fans – were immediately made public knowledge.
Next came the grand initiation ceremony afforded the release of Pet Sounds. Taylor convened a reception in a suite at the London Hilton, where England’s most prestigious pop pen-pushers were given a preview of the album. Self-styled LA ‘freak out’ specialist Kim Fowley was unofficial master-of-ceremonies at the unveiling. Marianne Faithfull hovered fetchingly, while guests of honour Paul McCartney and John Lennon sat, their ears cupped against the speakers, listening intently to a music that represented the most formidable threat to their own aesthetic dictatorship of rock in the year 1966. According to Fowley, after the record had finished Lennon and McCartney left the suite, returning immediately to the latter’s St John’s Wood home, where, under the heady spell of Brian Wilson’s ‘new music’, some hashish and a couple of amphetamine pills, they went on to compose ‘Here There and Everywhere’ that same evening.
For Brian, information like this was music to his ears. Moreover, that George Harrison had spent hours phoning acquaintances to rave over the album’s merits or that Andrew Loog Oldham had, upon being handed a test-pressing, pontificated that the work be labelled the ‘Scheherazade of pop’ – this was precisely the kind of effusive reaction Brian Wilson was after.
‘By this time Brian had become very, very competitive,’ confirms Taylor. ‘So much so that it was no longer that healthy sort of competitive spirit thing. It was a mad possessive battle against the Stones and particularly the Beatles, an absurdly maniacal “Who’s the fairest in the land?” campaign, really. And I was in the middle of all this because . . . Well, firstly, he liked me because I was English and different. My life-style certainly seemed to appeal to him greatly. ‘But also there was the problem about my other connections. He’d constantly be testing the strength of my devotion to his cause. For example, he’d play me a new song and immediately start this thoroughly insistent psychological arm-twisting tactic, making statements like “Better than the Stones, yeah?” Then he’d put on . . . oh, “Paperback Writer”, say, and keep saying in this deliberately cute, precociously taxing way – actually he’d sound just like Tony Hancock when he indulged in these sessions – “Is that any good? I ask you. Is that really any good ?” And I’d have to say very deliberately, “Yes, Brian, it is very good ”! He was never satisfied though. Never. ‘It’s strange, too, because the fact that Pet Sounds hadn’t sold at all well didn’t affect him in the least. I doubt, in fact, whether it even registered with him. He was only interested in these “Who is the best?” heats. ‘The Beatles. . . now, the Beatles were hot enough not to be over concerned about anybody else, but they did think the Beach Boys were good. In fact, they’d arrived at that conclusion long before I had.’ <...>
‘...He was driving us all crackers by that time because, well, God, he was so temporary, it was awful. And I’d dread the phone call at 4 a.m. demanding that I come over because I knew he needed me. We had a terrible falling-out that lasted about three weeks. ‘I couldn’t stand the fact that Brian didn’t want me to like any other artist but himself. I could never stand bands competing over me. It was never a problem with the Byrds, mind. But Brian. . . ‘Mind you, he was making some amazing music at that time. I mean, even when I couldn’t face him, even when I couldn’t handle his mad competitiveness or his temporary whims, he could win me over with his music. He could manipulate people, could Brian. He was very cunning, very clever, even though there was a naivety there. Part of him was this terribly shy young man whom you could tell the most mundane things to and he’d express just sheer amazement. . . ‘But despite his strangeness, how could you deny him when he was creating something like, well, “Surfs Up”?’
<...>
‘I could never deliver what Brian wanted, really. Personally I was frightened of him. He made me nervous and uncomfortable. I didn’t know if he wanted criticism. Criticism was hell for him because you can only say it’s great one more time and he’d never leave you in peace. He was like another Brian, come to think of it. Brian Epstein. Another man of whims, surges, arrogance, manic depressions and long periods of silence. Another man who was always demanding too much. ‘Bloody good company when he was all right, mind. But there was always this terrible need of people...’

'We few, we happy few, we band of brothers'
It is one thing to disprove and even despise The Shire and its netizens. It is a whole other affair to violently bash S's skills, based on absolutely nothing else than spiteful disappointment.
We are being told by Mordor's basement polymaths the man cannot act. It is probably by an unelucidated strike of luck or by charity that he was cast by *** to embody book boyfriend JAMMF, when he has only 5 (five) known facial expressions in his quiver. He was the weakest link of Season 1 cast: I suppose the BJ/Frank Randall 2-in-1 does have a fan club, after all. His acting is wooden. He has chemistry only with C and by Her grace only, because you know, gay as a bag of popcorn. He is a semi-literate hunk, with documented spelling problems. Even more so, when we conveniently toss aside the mounting hysteria during Quarantein Ha-wa-wee disgrace (hey Pooks and all the sock account Dobermans: I hope you remember your Twitter blaze of glory moment every single morning while brushing your teeth). And (also a favorite) he doesn't read, he doesn't prepare, he is sloppy, like that.
God forbid you'd try to set this colossal unfairness straight. You are automatically signed up to the Mommies for Sam Committee and labeled accordingly. Brainless victim (of what, since he is basically useless, but let's not embarrass ourselves with logic), unapologetic limerent inamorata, romantic whale, delusional rural shipper, conspiracy theory troll. Anything goes, really and we know the tune by heart, at this point in time.
Not so long ago, I was re-watching the oath sequence of (5.01) The Fiery Cross, for which I suppose all background/context is superfluous. The only clip I could find has appalling sound, but should still immediately take you back to the Return of the Kilt (starts at 0:56):
youtube
It immediately reminded me of this:
youtube
This is the extraordinary Henry V Saint Crispin's Day speech. Pure Shakespeare and unmatchable Olivier. It is also a well-documented kamikaze moment of the Battle of Agincourt (1415), when a heavily outnumbered English army defeated in an almost miraculous turn of events the French. Granted, the real speech must have been way more concise, but nevertheless a potent affair, with Henry's cunning use of rumors having it that the French would cut two fingers off each captured archer's right hand, to virtually neutralize them. And his army was, essentially, an army of longbows.
Whatever it was, it worked. It worked so well, that it even gave Winston Churchill the idea of asking Laurence Olivier to broadcast this speech for the BBC some time around 1942 and then make a movie of the whole play, in 1944. Again, context is important -it always is, by the way - and it sheds the right light on Olivier's performance. More than acting, it is damn effective war propaganda, a wonderful patriotic act and completely representative for the "we shall fight them on the beaches and we shall never surrender" spirit. It is also all about acting as summoning of energy: Olivier manages to channel Henry V, he is Henry V and this immediately gives an irresistible depth and truth to his performance.
For contrast, one could compare his version with Branagh's 1989 interpretation (https://youtu.be/y1BhnepZnoo), which I am not adding here for the sake of levity. The main difference is, for me at least, palpable: Olivier completely suppressed his ego, which I am afraid is something impossible to achieve for Branagh. His take on the speech aims to be more modern and natural, and yet it is still all about Branagh promoting his art. And we know it immediately. A fairly honest tableau vivant, but no depth and nowhere near as majestic as the other.
I am not saying here that S is on par with Laurence Olivier. That would really mean being a romantic whale and I am the one you start to get, I hope, acquainted with. What I am saying is that this guy you just love to humiliate and endlessly cackle about every single day God makes, really, deliberately knows what he is doing in there. I would bet handsome money on S carefully watching and re-watching Olivier's Saint Crispin's Day monologue, in order to prepare for that particular scene. The similarities are, to me, evident, as is the consistent hard work and - dare I say it?- massive talent. It's all about owning the scene and being in the moment. And it is arresting, at times.
All of this is not exactly some shipper far-fetched speculation. S wrote, after all, in Waypoints (and the reference is way too spot on to believe in a kind gesture of the ghostwriter) that he "devoured"
Tumblr media
I see great things. I see a very gifted guy who has no ego (C was spot on and for an actor, that is a blessing) and also probably no idea of his (considerable) acting range. I also see a guy who, spare for OL, has been grossly, unfairly miscast and overlooked. And who was determined to take whatever was available or easy on the schedule, in order to remain relevant. I may not be a good client for his booze, but I would pay handsomely to see him in something along the lines of For Whom The Bell Tolls. Or even (if you want a more exotic but oh, so rewarding alternative) a still inexplicably missing Western adaptation of Bulgakov's Master and Margarita (probably not the best times for that one, but still: Bulgakov was, after all, born in Kyiv and not really a fan, to say the least, of tyrants). That's exactly how damn good he is.
How was it, Kidneystone BIF? Oh. "No boundaries. No respect. No class." Exactly, madam. You said it yourself.

tagged by @vreemd tysm ! <3 im not tagging anyone but these are always fun ! <3
Are you named after anyone?
i don't really have a name at the moment, so no.
When was the last time you cried?
we cry almost daily lately. at least three times a week i think.
Do you have kids?
i do not, but i definitely want to raise something in the future. pets, plants, a business..... something. i'm not married yet (to anyone with a physical body separate from mine, anyway) so actual kids are off the table right now. if i did have kids one day, i would prefer adopting unless the person i marry is able to get me pregnant (which i only feel that way bc that's very sacred to me). and even then, i kind of want marriage to be more about having fun together than about kids or money or whatever. i wanna go on like. eight honeymoons. i wanna spend like five to ten years just having fun being married before i have kids. i don't give a shit about my body's clock or whatever. if i'm past my "prime" by the time we decide where we want to settle down, then we'll adopt. besides, i have pcos so fertility might be a problem, and my sister had just the world's fucking worst post partum of all time so i doubt it'll be a fun time for me.
Do you use sarcasm a lot?
i don't know, do i?
What sports do you play?
i hate organized / professional sports with a burning passion. but i do love physical activities that are competitive sometimes! i just have asthma and get sunburnt easily so i don't get to do them a lot. i love swimming, i love volleyball (including beach volleyball), i love pickle ball / tennis / badminton, ping pong, disc golf even though i'm bad at it (it's fun to walk through parks if they have it set up!), mini golf is fun, i fucking hate regular golf so fucking much it makes me so angry. just generally i hate team sports because i'm hypercompetitive and because mandated gym class sports activities were the fucking bane of my existence as a kid. don't fucking get me started on kickball i want kickball to die. ok i'm done now i prommy
What’s the first thing you notice about people?
their energy. the vibes. their emotions. i pick up on these things very quickly (especially after honing my intuition)
What’s your eye color?
blue-gray
Scary movies or happy endings?
i guess happy endings? i like scary movies just fine, but the scariness is typically not why i gravitate toward horror. i like drama, tragedy, thrillers, psychological horror, over the top goth shit, steampunk, that kind of thing. i don't particularly have strong feelings about happy endings, though.
Any special talents?
art! i sing good too, i think, though i don't have professional help, i've just had people gas me up over it enough to really love karaoke lol. i'm also really good at customer service, i've been told my customer service voice is so perfect it's scary. mmm also i write but i haven't done it in a while. i took a speech class once and everybody was very impressed also which i was fucking shocked by until then i was certain i was shit at public speaking lmao
Do you have pets?
not right now u__u unless you count virtual ones. i love my livlies <3 i think i need to feed them actually--
How tall are you?
5'4" (162 cm)
Favorite subjects in school?
english, french, science (when we were just learning or doing experiments and not having to do boring shit like writing labs), art obviously if that counts. similar to science, i enjoy math only when learning new concepts and not actually having to do the math. i'm very good at geometry though, which i chalk up to being a visual learner, though graphs were always so tedious and made so little sense that they always made me want to bash my head in.
Dream job?
i always had my heart set on animation, but i'm leaning more toward something less collaborative like indie comics or gamedev or even just illustration. i want to go back to school soon, i think for a very general fine arts degree just to figure out where my strengths really lie in case it turns i'm like a megagenius at fucking.... glass blowing or some shit. hell, fashion and movies interest me, too, and i've never tried acting. i wanted to be a voice actor as a kid. idk! i'm gonna figure it out. i've set the steps in motion and am hoping to get into someplace for the spring once i have other things in my life more cleared up.
that's all! thank you again for tagging me :> anyone who wants to is welcome to steal, but let me know if you do !! <3

NATURAL HORN KILLERS
Now playing in the multiplexes:
Tumblr media
Death of a Unicorn--Paul Rudd plays Elliot, a lawyer, who is enroute to the home of his megarich employers, where he's on the verge of a massive promotion. With him is his sullen daughter Ridley (Jenna Ortega), perfectly well aware that she's being used as a prop to show what a good family man Elliot is, to help him clinch the deal. They're both still bereaved over the recent death of his wife.
Driving up a mountain road to the remote home, Elliot hits and injures what appears for all the world to be a baby unicorn. Just as the creature is establishing a psychic bond with Ridley when she touches its horn, Elliot bashes it in the skull, meaning to put it out of its misery, and also to get the hell to the meeting for which he's already late.
They carry the body to the palatial home in the back of their rental SUV, but if you guess that their encounter with single-horned magical equines isn't over, you'd be right. The movie takes off from its literal-minded opening into a satire of the wealthy, their bottomless capacity to self-justify, and the similar capacity for toadies like Elliot or the rich family's manservant Griff (the excellent Anthony Carrigan)--to justify enabling them. The employers, you see, are in the pharmaceutical biz, and they--Dad Richard E. Grant, Mom Tea Leoni and cloddish son Will Poulter--soon realize that the creature's horn is a virtual panacea offering a cure for cancer, among other miraculous properties.
Written and directed by Alex Scharfman, Death of a Unicorn is strikingly funny and exciting. It also carries a tinge of sourness, but this is true of most satires. Rudd's obsequious, cowardly character is deeply unlikable for much of the film's length, but this is offset because, of course, Rudd himself is one of the most naturally likable actors on the planet.
In the same way, Scharfman offsets the (justified) bitterness of the satire with monster-movie elements--even some gore--and a dash of New Age mysticism. And he plays fair by the rules of these genres. It's also nice to see unicorns rescued from My Little Pony-style cutesy insipidity, and depicted as badass.
Tumblr media
The Penguin Lessons--From horned horses to flightless birds: here's the second movie in less than a year set in South America and based, however loosely, on the real-life friendship between a foundling penguin and a bereaved aging man. Last summer we got My Penguin Friend, with Jean Reno. Despite Reno's undeniable star presence, some gorgeous scenery and the endearing title character, this new effort is a big improvement.
Steve Coogan plays Tom Michell, a cynical, lazy, emotionally shut-down English professor at a private school for upscale Argentine boys in Buenos Aires in 1976. On a weekend in Uruguay, he's walking on the beach with a beautiful woman he's met dancing, and they come upon an oil-slicked Magellanic penguin.
Mostly to impress the woman, Michell takes the poor creature back to his hotel and they clean him up. Things don't work out with the woman, but Michell finds himself stuck with the penguin, smuggling him back into the school and trying to keep him a secret from the strict Headmaster (Jonathan Pryce). Eventually the bird, dubbed "Juan Salvador Gaviota"--the Spanish name of Jonathan Livingston Seagull--becomes a classroom teaching aid and a beloved mascot.
Juan Salvador also triggers a spiritual reawakening in Michell, who connects through him with the family of a cleaning lady at the school. The Junta has just taken over, and people are being "disappeared" off the street in broad daylight; Michell finds himself unable to remain apolitical.
Despite a couple of Monty Python references early on--the Pythons had a long and noble history with penguins--this Brit film isn't a broad comedy. At the beginning we're told that "This story is inspired by real events," whatever that may mean; the script by Jeff Pope is based on a memoir by the real-life Michell. Directed by Peter Cattaneo of The Full Monty--one of the very best poignant Brit comedies--The Penguin Lessons has laughs, but it's also character-driven and melancholy; in the long run it could fairly be called a tearjerker.
It's hard to imagine the movie working as well as it does with anyone but Coogan in the lead. As in the terrific Philomena (2013), he plays an elaborately ironic, acerbic poseur whose reserve is gradually and reluctantly broken down by a guileless fellow being; the penguin serves almost as well as Judi Dench in this role. But Coogan never gets sappy. He lets the marvelous bird melt us, then he dries the movie out again.

Top 10 Movies that *Feel* Like Summer
(I only included films that I have seen or personally feel capture that summer feeling).
Stand By Me
Tumblr media
The boys spend their summer day going on an adventure. Along the way, they connect on a deeper level. Sure, they’re on the hunt for a body, but it’s the perfect encapsulation of childhood and those summer memories with your friends. The Oregon backdrop really creates the mood; with beautiful mountain scapes, lots of sunshine, woodland areas and swamps, etc. It’s also a beautifully written (and even more beautifully acted) film. When I think of summer as a young teen, I think of this film.
2. Friday The 13th / Sleepaway Camp (You could also put Fear Street Part 2 here as well)
Tumblr media
I’m putting these two together since they are virtually the same thing. Both films take place at a summer camp. And of course, involve good, wholesome Slasher fun! They have beautiful lakeside views, summer camp activities, the whole shebang! We’ve all (or most of us) been to summer camp. So I think there’s something to relate to in these films, and admire. So what if a few teenagers get their comeuppance in the process.
3. American Pie 2
Tumblr media
The central plot of this film is a huge blowout party by the beach. The gang orchestrates a big bash to close out summer. It’s Stiffler and the gang, so of course chaos ensues. This one’s a lot of laughs!
4. The Sandlot
Tumblr media
I really see this one and Stand By Me as sort of the same kind of thing. Both even share a scene where the kids have to escape a guard dog. But at their core, both are the epitome of hanging with your friends and getting into all sorts of fun during summer break. This one is just set in the summer of 1962, and with a baseball backdrop.
5. Jaws
Tumblr media
This one literally happens around the 4th of July weekend. It’s at the beach and is filled with holiday festivities. It’s about as summer a movie as it can get! Oh, and it has sharks, so that’s cool!
6. Grease
Tumblr media
“Summer lovin had me a blast”. It’s right there in the song. Danny and Sandy meet on the beach and fall in love. Neither realize that they’ll end up at the same school. The movie comes full circle when it ends at the end of the school year and it’s summer again. To cap things off, there’s a big carnival with all the summer vibes!
7. The Parent Trap
Tumblr media
Another summer camp movie. Gosh, there’s so many. But this is a nice family-friendly one. Twins Hallie and Annie are both sent to the same summer camp, where they discover that they were separated at birth. Of course, there's the usual summer camp stuff in this one. But there’s also some great scenes later on where the whole family goes on a camping trip, and the twins totally torture their soon to be stepmom with pranks. It’s hilarious and worth the watch for that alone!
8. National Lampoon’s Vacation
Tumblr media
This one is a bit of nostalgia from the days of going on family vacations during the summer. The Griswold’s take a cross-country road trip to Walley World, a California amusement park. In true Griswold family fashion, they run into a lot of mishaps along the way. These are so entertaining! This film is complete with stopping at a campground for the night, skinny dipping, a visit to the Grand Canyon, and eventually making it to the amusement park. Which is quite the misadventure in and of itself.
9. Dirty Dancing
Tumblr media
It’s the summer of 1963, and Baby is vacationing at an upscale resort with her family. She falls in love with dance instructor Johnny Castle. Throughout the film we see the two of them grow closer together as he teaches her a routine for the upcoming end of summer shindig. This one isn't as summer filled as some of the others on this list, but it definitely takes place during that time and has  great lakeside views as well,
10. I Know What You Did Last Summer
Tumblr media
Summer is literally in the name. This is another one that takes place on (and around) July 4th. On July 4, 1996, Julie James and her friends take a drive to the beach. They hit someone on the drive and dump the body to cover it up. Fast forward a year later, Julie is back from college for the summer when she and her friends begin receiving letters saying, "I know what you did last summer!" From there, someone in a rain slicker and a hook for a hand starts stalking and killing the characters off one by one. An integral part of this film is the 4th of July celebrations in the town. A Parade. A pageant. The seaside scapes! This (and Jaws) are July 4th MUST WATCHES for me every year!

NSB (Straud Legacy) Gen 9 Ep 14: Together Again
Since Luigi had decided to reconcile with his father and Valentina, he was now happy to answer all his dad’s questions about life at Foxbury.
They’d hardly talked since the Black and White Bash and Luigi was gratified both sims seemed to really care about his life and his studies.
In addition to a willing ear Luigi also found in his housemates a willing tongue. Trips to Henford and The Ridge gave the young mixologist a wide variety of juices to use to practice mixing up interesting new concoctions. Meals at the homestead became even more elaborate than before with Peachy making delicious meals designed to pair perfectly with his sons’ experimental signature drinks.
Tumblr media
---------------------------------------------
Of course, mixology wasn’t the only thing Luigi was practicing. In pursuit of his dream of e-sports mastery he spent many hours gaming.
His hand might not have been broken, but it was still mighty sore, which made Luigi grateful for the motion gaming mat in his parent’s rec room. The open-air virtual world was much less painful to “touch” than traditional mouse and keyboard interfaces.
He even found some local VR gaming tournaments. The whole family tagged along, traveling together to make a day of it and show their support.
Tumblr media
---------------------------------------------
The elder Peachy was enjoying travel and events of his own as well. He had never retired from the entertainment business and planned to keep making sims smile until the day he joined Jack in the next world. His love of comedy made his “job” less work and more a life’s calling.
His happiness was infectious, increasing his reputation with every little gig he did, as his star continued to ascend.
Tumblr media
---------------------------------------------
With so much free time over the break Luigi had plenty of time to catch up with friends and extended family too.
Whether he was painting with his uncle or hanging out with Bonnie and his cousins on the beach Luigi enjoyed making memories with the Sims he cared about.
He and Isra were still working on their relationship as well. By the time they showed up arm in arm to Scott’s big beach bonfire Luigi felt ready to discuss how they were going to move forward, even though he knew it would be hard.
Tumblr media
---------------------------------------------
When they sat down together after the party, Luigi at first had a hard time getting over his bitterness at Isra’s refusal to become his exclusive girlfriend and for leaving him when he’d managed to hurt himself fighting “for her” at the prom. He only cooled off when he saw that she was upset too.
She told Luigi that her par had opened up to her about their experience marrying young and being swept along into a life that had ultimately forced them to abandon everything and everyone they loved. Isra had decided she wasn’t ready to commit to Luigi, or anyone, just yet.
Luigi dug deep into his memories of Papa Jack’s teachings on the importance of treasuring relationships and treating people with love. He swallowed his pride and promised to show her that he could be a good friend, and a good non-exclusive boyfriend. At the end of the day, he did love her, and if loving her part time was all she would allow (and all he would have time for once school started back up) then he’d focus on making the most of that.

In sharp contrast to the desert-like terrain found elsewhere in the nation, the coastal town of Salalah in the southern district of Dhofar is renowned for its lush greenery and monsoon season.
Cultural Riches: Tradition Meets Modernity
Muscat: A Glimpse into Omani Heritage: Muscat, the country's capital, skillfully combines modernity with tradition. Explore the famous Mutrah Souq, where the aroma of frankincense and myrrh fills the air, and visit the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, a beautiful architectural marvel.
Warm Omani Hospitality: The hospitality of the Omani people is well-known. Visitors are frequently invited into locals' homes to sample their traditional fare, where the flavors of spicy rice, soft grilled meats, and scented cardamom coffee tempt the palate.
Historical Treasures: Forts and Castles
Oman has a long and colorful history, with Persian, Portuguese, and British influences all leaving their imprints. Forts and castles abound in the nation, each with its own distinct personality and background. The likes of Nizwa Fort, Bahla Fort, and Jabrin Castle are just a few examples of the architectural wonders that provide a window into Oman's history.
Adventure Awaits: Diving, Trekking, and More
Underwater Paradise: Some of the world's finest coral reefs may be found in the coastal seas off the coast of Oman. Dolphins frequently accompany boats as they go through the Musandam Peninsula and Daymaniyat Islands, where divers and snorkelers can discover a variety of marine species.
Trekking in Paradise: Epic trekking expeditions are available for the adventurous. Hikers are rewarded with stunning views of the Grand Canyon of Arabia for overcoming the difficult trek of Jebel Shams, Oman's highest peak.
A Sustainable Future: Environmental Conservation
Environmental protection is highly valued in Oman. Projects like the Arabian Oryx Sanctuary, which is home to the formerly endangered Arabian Oryx, demonstrate the nation's dedication to protecting its natural heritage.
Conclusion
The appeal of Oman, also referred to as the "Land of Contrasts," is as diverse as its topography. From the towering sand dunes of the desert to the wild peaks of the Hajar Mountains, from the bustling markets of Muscat to the peaceful beaches of Salalah, Oman Holiday Packages From India offer an immersive journey through history, nature, and culture.
Oman is a symbol of the everlasting beauty of the unknown in an era of growing global connectivity. It beckons tourists to go off on an extraordinary journey that is guaranteed to leave a lasting impression on the soul and foster a lifelong appreciation for the Arabian Peninsula's undiscovered gems. Oman has something special to offer any traveler who comes to its shores, whether they are looking for desert peace, mountain majesty, or seaside beauty.

If you’re planning your next holiday, exploring Dubai tour packages is the perfect way to enjoy a well-organized, value-for-money vacation.
Why Dubai Should Be Your Next Travel Destination
Dubai is more than just tall skyscrapers and shopping malls. It is a city that offers a dynamic mix of experiences — be it the tranquility of the desert, the vibrancy of traditional souks, or the luxury of world-class resorts. A trip to Dubai is a journey through time, from the historical charm of Al Fahidi Historical District to the cutting-edge innovation of the Burj Khalifa and Palm Jumeirah.

Whether you're a solo traveler, a couple on honeymoon, or a family on vacation, curated tour packages can provide an enriching and well-balanced itinerary.
Best Time to Visit Dubai
Planning your trip around the right time is crucial to maximize your Dubai experience. The best time to visit Dubai is between November and March, when the weather is pleasantly cool. During these months, you can enjoy outdoor activities like desert safaris, dhow cruises, and beach outings without worrying about the scorching heat. This period also coincides with the famous Dubai Shopping Festival, offering massive discounts, entertainment shows, and fireworks displays.
However, if you're looking for budget-friendly deals, the summer months (June to August) offer significant discounts on Dubai tour packages, although the heat may limit your outdoor adventures.
