geghegehge lowkey thinking about 'bodily' themes I've inadvertently attached to some of my WIPs-

The Monster and the Butterfly has eye symbolism + themes about the horror of being perceived.

Temperance & Mr. Wyrm has flesh symbolism + themes about the horror of change

Those Red Nights has blood symbolism + themes about the horror of guilt

After seeing Barbie I've an urge to redraw Jack saying this:

"You never wanna risk bumming Temperance out.😎" *Jack says whilst his body is being very horribly, violently warped and twisted into something totally non-human against his will....but he cannot risk bumming Temp out!*

Also I wanna draw snake Jack wearing this lol

Because even as a hideous danger noodle he is definitely Kenough🥺

Here's an extremely rough snippet from my WIP Temperance & Mr. Wyrm.

⚠️TW for body horror

“Temperance…” he gurgles, slow and grotesque across his tongue, and I do not know if I want him to call my name again with such want or to never have him utter it again. Starting at the center of his lip running to the middle of his throat is a red line, irritated and scabbed and raw. As he speaks, that line widens, and I feel sick seeing how that line starts to split his lip, as though his flesh wishes to unzip itself. “I am scared, Temperance… I don’t know what’s happening… I’m sssss-cared…” I am scared too. I am terrified, always have been, ever since I’ve met you, I want to say.
