#really just want to see agni (and grace) being cool 😳 if that's not obvious enough #忠 on hatz's back means loyal #the sky is filled with shinsu loops (inspired by water dragon heavy storm technique but less destructive in exchange for wider range)#also if you haven't connected the dots yet. grace and jinsung are having a spar somewhere. and Agni is keeping it inside a massive barrier #he set up the barrier with shinsu devices ofc. not purely Agni's power. we can see him doing some typing there since he controls it #Also I forget if i have it written on future chapter or discarded it on this update script. but just in case i don't. here's an explanation #the barrier was meant to keep the chaos inside to stay inside. but because the shinsu on lower floors aren't as concentrated as upper floor #and shinsu inside the barrier was condensed with Grace's power. If the barrier was completely blocked off it'd be easy to suffocate inside #so they need the outside shinsu to be able to cross inside or Agni wouldn't be able to stay inside. Thus I imagine it like a one way valve #it's easy to cross from the outside but hard to get out without deactivating the barrier. and that was why Hatz was trapped #Laure on the prev chpt must've noticed that the flow of shinsu got siphoned somewhere and thus the 'something is wrong' feeling #but no one else notice bc it'd prob feel like a passing breeze. considering with how big a floor is #tower of god #tog #two sides of the same coin comic #my comic #my art #khun #koon #khun a.a #khun aguero agnis #hatz #rak wraithraiser #rak

7hrs into my work day lets play a fun game of how much overtime will they make me do 🥰

#i should be going home in AN HOUR!#if im here until 7 again im pulling a sickie tmr idgaf #making me run this stupid thing twice in a day bitch it takes 5 hours!!!!! and i had to do an hour of washing up this morning from #yesterdays run bc we havent had a functional lab dishwasher for 3 months yep we have been fucking handwashing every piece of lab glassware #FOR THREE MONTHS!!#u guys dont even fucking know how much glassware we get thru in a fucking day its shambles #i dont think i even have enough glassware for my second run this afternoon so im gonna have to wash up more #one of the other techs made up the most time consuming reagent for me tho which saves me an hour bless her #but fuuucking hell. hoping when i get back from lunch theyll tell me i dont need to do any more 😭#so i can LEAVE. ON TIME. PLEASE #i cant do another 11 hour day man im not on a fucking shift pattern. if i was then at least id be able to fucking meal prep in advance #but nooooo theyre addicted to giving me unscheduled overtime to do tasks i fucking hate #also did i mention they made it even more complex so now i have to take readings every 30 seconds while constantly titrating this shit #for TEN HOURS. the amount of focus it takes is horrendous i have to keep the number in a 0.0016 range and there are so many dilutions #all this and u can still only analyse 3 samples in 5 hours bc everything has to be in triplicate its fucking sisyphean. hell on earth #puts my head in my hands and wails. im fine ahahahhaahaha. everyone in the lab is being nice abt it at least im getting a lot of pity #i wish i could work shift pattern by this point man or like a 4 day week w 10 hour days. when my managers back im gonna ask her abt it #bc theyve let a few other ppl have custom hours. they wont let me work weekends which is annoying bc im SO productive alone #i might ask again lol so much of my shit is fully independent anyway. aourgh. i get so twitchy from staring at the numbers it makes my #vision swim a bit..... well im used to it #aight vent over im going back in..... wish me fucking luck guys #.diaries

see I can’t accept charles’ comic background and socioeconomic status as canon for the show because if I did that would mean the whole group would be a bunch of rich kids and that’s a horrifying concept

#ranging from vaguely upper class (niko and charles via comic logic) to presumably quite wealthy (edwin) to straight up ultrarich (crystal)#well off but doesn’t own a mansion -> owns a mansion -> owns several mansions in several countries #but yeah that aside. I don’t like the idea of him being raised upper class or even upper middle and yes I know he went to a private catholic #school that presumably costs a decent amount of money but for one we don’t Know how much exactly by that point in time (I’m assuming it was #more prestigious and expensive back in edwin’s day) and it’s not like middle class or even working class people can never afford #to send their one (1) kid to catholic school. like that’s really not too unusual. I know this is an american example but im thinking about #lady bird and her catholic school situation- her family was financially unstable and still paid for Catholic school because it was (in their #opinion) the best offering for an education in the neighborhood (and as someone who lives in the same city in the same Area of the same #city I can tell you that that choice does make sense even for a non-catholic. the public schools round here can be uhhhhhh rough)#so im seeing charles’ situation sorta like that #his dad seems like the type to want him ‘kept in line’ and ‘whipped into shape’ and I think he’d pay for that if he could manage it #idk something about charles is just……he has an appeal by being the Normal Kid amongst them. not raised as anything special. not having all #his needs met. never expecting to do anything super grand with his life. just a city kid yknow #anyway SOMEONES gotta know how to cook. a bunch of people have already registered for my mentoring workshop! unfortunately this means i have to plan and host a workshop aaaaaa

#i want to think aloud through it on here at some point #but i think i am going to structure it around the theme of cultivating student autonomy #because i think one of the primary goals of mentorship is to prepare students to be self-directed learners who can set realistic goals +#evaluate their own progress + reflect on what they've learned and what they still don't know #+ take initiative without sitting around waiting for someone to tell them what to do next #so i think we will do some thinking around like #when we have a student we think of as really capable or driven what qualities and behaviors do we observe in that student #and maybe ill also share some of the research on intrinsic motivation + self-direction + locus of control #which i think is all really interesting esp in light of the contemporary College Mental Health Crisis concerns #and then we will look at a range of tools + structures + strategies that i think are useful for fostering student autonomy over time #and maybe leave them with some core principles/guiding values that i think are useful when you are trying to like #avoid jumping in and doing stuff for kids #or solving their problems for them #idk i need to think through specifics a bit more #but i feel like on this campus #people do a lot of 'workshops' that are really not interactive at all #it's just someone talking from slides #and i kind of want to show off my ability to structure more engaging workshops #but idk. gotta think about how to do it well #and how to build in lots of opportunities for like crowdsourcing strategies too

#having a moment #very lonely here idk #tinder was a complete bust. no matches despite goin thru p much everyone within range on the app #a friend suggested going to a game store but idk theyre kinda sparse here and last time i went to one it was almost all men #that i have 0 interest in. they didnt even have any yugioh cards or packs or anything despite advertising it #ive been to the library a few times but idk nobody rly talks to u there #i go out somewhat often to get coffee n stuff and nobody talks to u there either #granted i go to dunkin and its usually pretty empty. maybe a local spot would have more ppl #only “success” ive hadd is barq. ive added a few local furries but idk we dont rly talk #i regularly talk to 1 ive met on there tho. a trans woman. even visited her once #shes a 30 minute drive on the highway away from me despite being in the same city and she cant drive :(#i do think shes pretty id like to visit her again. im a bit nervous to ask her if she wanna do anything tho #ugh #i need to move in with one of my gfs im going crazy here #simultaneously it feels impossible for me to move out of my parents home. life shit is scary

#day six death and dying over here due to kidney stones #pain meds really give u false sense of security briefly but overall difficult to concentrate on anything #cos when they run out they really fuckin run out level 8-10 pain #and the first hour after taking another dose is mostly waiting for the pain relief to kick in again #hour two maybe into three feeling like a normal person again wow i can exist normally #then it starts runnning out again and it goes from like 3 to 9 real quick #really trying to make the full 4 hours between the tylenol and ibuprofen so that the range between doses of the same are well past 6 hours #on top of still having to work 11.5 hour days and getting yelled at by customers and having them wish ill heakth upon you #and i still got 2 full days before my surgery wed morning #having a real fuckin struggle #ursa speaks #i knwk they prescribed me the oxy if i really need it but i really dont want to have to take it #really wish theyd done the scan when i first went jn to the ER the week before instead of being like #well we ruled out a UTI so it's probably a kidney stone ok go home now bye #then week later when i get whammoblammod by crippling pain theyre like ok now that we know its a 10mm stone we should schedule u with a uro #arg arg arg 5000 im just ranting bye #ohhhh youre a bit young for kidney stones says the urologist #ok tell that to my bitch ass kidney
