OMG I WAS SOOO EXCITED WHEN I WOKE UP AND SAW THE KINICH FIC HAD BEEN POSTED. I was 10 minutes late to work because I decided to finish it in one go I was HOOKED. WOWIE. WOWZERS. WOWOWOW.

I love the divide between the two of them where he doesn’t understand why reader is worried about him when he can just come back, and he’s worried about her because HELLO? There’s an ongoing war with abyss that can get worse and he can’t have her caught up in it??? But her always seeing a dead and injured version of him every few years has to be GUTTING. It’s just so emotional to see them fear for the same thing but they don’t understand each other eye to eye.

LORDT. ANNND THE WAY YOU CAPTURED HIS CHILDHOOD AND THE WAY HE PROCESSED IT. Everything for him comes down to transaction. It hurt so much to think he thought of himself as not enough and that’s why he didn’t earn love 🥹 but it was so beautiful to see the way he contradicted that belief of earning love because he clearly loves reader so much even if she stopped “earning it” he’d never stop giving it.
