Dadmight Week Day 1: Sunburnt

Sometimes you have to experience something to learn from it, in this case Izuku needs to learn it takes 2 seconds to ask for help and All Might will always give it.

Ah yes! Just in time I’m definitely not 5 days late and I’m DEFINITELY not upset about that fact… never start with a comic… NEVER AGAIN. There will be a few more pieces before the end I’m just gonna you know… not do another comic

AHH THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE COMPLIMENTS IT REALY MEANS SO MUCH!! Seeing people enjoy the small things I make always brightens my day!

And I’m really sorry I took so long I kept overthinking this way more than I needed… BUT HERE WE GO!!

Obviously I love all Dadmight scenes a lot, but one that’s kind of always stood out to me or atleast the one I keep going back to, is the one from Season 4 Episode 4.

Izuku learning he wasn’t meant to even get this power, that there was a successor already chosen and it was never meant to be him. Through fate and timing somehow he met All Might, and even in just a short time he was able to convince him of his own worth. Even against people who told him he shouldn’t pick Izuku, he saw part of himself in that boy and couldn’t just pick someone else now.

And the part that always hits me is All Might accepted his death, Nighteye telling him he would die meant he would die and he wasn’t fighting it, he was preparing to leave this world and let someone have his power, in this case Izuku.

But a child, his own successor was the one thing that made him rethink, want to try living. He has to raise that boy and be there with him the whole way. We always hear the phrase ‘I would die for you.’

But saying ‘I want to live for you,’ now that is so much bigger, you can throw your life away in a moment and not think about it. All Might was fully ready to, but living and moving forward even when you feel you can’t? That’s such a hard thing to do.

So just them having this heart to heart talk about the fact that Midoriya is literally his reason to keep trying to fight fate and live to see his boy grow? GOD, I think about that a lot, even my own dad has mentioned being at peace and would be happy to die now, so seeing All Might say he’s not ready and wants to see the man Izuku becomes.

I will cry, tears will be had because a real father does what they can to be there for their children.

Final nail in the coffin is Izuku pledging to be there the whole way and fight fate with him, literally the moment ever.

IM GONNA STOP RAMBLING BECAUSE I COULD TALK FOREVER BUT THIS SCENE ALWAYS HIT, THEM TRYING TO DEFY FATE TOGETHER, AND JUST LIVING FOR SOMEONE IS SUCH A HARD THING TO DO. THEM WANTING TO FACE IT TOGETHER MAKES ME CRY HAPPY TEARS.

Only thing I wish I could change is CAN I GET A HUG OVER THE FISTBUMP?? I know it makes more sense for the scene probably and it was atmospheric, but WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY DONT GET A HEARTFELT HUG?!?

Welcome all, to Dadmight Week 2025! The theme is "Beach Day", and the event runs between August 25th-31st. Submissions are accepted between August 25th, 00:00 EST-September 4th, 00:00 EST. This event is centered around the father & son relationship between All Might and Midoriya from MHA!

AH IM SO SORRY I DIDNT MAKE IT IN TIME FOR FATHERS DAY!!

I have so much planned but this past month was very hectic and I honestly didn’t have the time to finish my idea, but if you guys stick with me I’m not giving up, I’m just gonna be, well.. late. Which is not unusual for me but I am so sorry I can’t be on time like ever.

I’m gonna make it so worth it though! This will be a 5 part 25+ page comic of Dadmight activities and feels! So while I can’t share it now take a baby boi as an apology in the meantime, and prepare for all the content coming soon!
