Monday
Mantra Yin 6pm
Most of us already know that yoga can help lift our mood. With Yin Yoga, however, we can tailor our yoga practice to target certain emotions by embracing a meridian-based approach to practice—focusing on the organs and their associated emotions, as well as on clearing the energetic pathways to allow chi (vital energy) to flow through these areas more smoothly. Proponents of this approach say that it can benefit us both physically and mentally. Suitable for all levels and ages. Tuesday
Compassionate Warrior 10.30 am
Rejuvenate your body and mind with this heart-opening flow. Expect backbends and chest openers. This is a sweaty class, but everyone is welcome and modifications will be offered.
Journey to the Self Nidra 6.00pm
Take a journey through all aspects of yourself from the most tangible to the most subtle, finally resting in the blissful, pure source – the true Self. Wednesday
Cross Training 6.00 pm
This class will focus on a bit of everything. Strength, flexibility, balance, cardio and breathing. This is a vinyasa flow class and will definitely make you break a sweat. Thursday
Eye on the Prize Gentle 10.30 am
An hour of healing, self care and connection. This is our gentle vinyasa flow class and is perfect as an introduction to yoga, or if you want to just take it a bit slower. Gentle flows followed by gentle stretches.
Yinspiration 6 pm
The best medicine is sunshine, laughter, nature and rest .... and yin. Join us as we stretch and release tension from our bodies in this sixty minutes of peaceful release. Saturday
Move It! 9 am
Our Saturday class is a fun, sweaty class with challenging poses to keep the class interesting for everyone. Thirty minutes of hard work, followed by thirty minutes of stretching. Suitable for every body.

Another exciting announcement this week. . .(yes I am having an epic week! Haha but why not, I'M ALIVE!) Is that I will be joining the team at One Tiger Yoga @one.tiger.yoga as one of their Yin Yoga Teachers. I am very excited to join this colorful tribe to meet and make new community connections. Yin (& Restorative) Yoga have a special place in my heart. Ever since I did the certification with master teacher Bernie Clark @bernieclark7528 at Semperviva Yoga @sempervivayoga in Vancouver, my life and heart has awakened to the importance of that scared space of stillness and introspection. Meditation. Mindfullness supported by breath. Some people ask me why am I speaking so slowly. . .hahah. . .my answer varies depending on the day, however the truth is that there is enough stimulation, multitasking and fast-paced tasks in our lives. One of the antidotes for harmony is to slowdown and breathe. To activate our parasympathetic nervous system and optimizing all our organ functions. There are great rewards, healing, answers and conscious awareness in being still. Yes, it may be uncomfortable time to time, but kindness and compassion begins with you. . . I have been playing around with words, names and branding (also availability online). I am very happy with selecting ‘Halley Vitality’ for it’s symbolism and meaning: Halley is my last name. It is also the name of the astronomer Edmund Halley, and Planet Earth’s closest comet that makes an ‘faithful’, ‘consistent’, ‘soaring’, ‘energetic’, ‘beaming’ appearance every 76 years which he discovered/researched. It has sometimes been speculated that Halley's Comet is the Star of Bethlehem that the Wise Men saw around the time of the birth of Jesus. Halley's Comet is darker than coal, and reflects only 4% of the sunlight it receives. It only shines brightly when it is close enough to the Sun for its dust and vapours to be burnt off. Halley's Comet is shaped like a peanut (hahah how perfect with me being plant based!) and is about 15 kilometres (9 miles) long, and 8 kilometres (5 miles) wide and thick. Its next appearance will be in 2061. I AM IN LOVE with the word VITALITY. THERE IS MORE TO LIFE THAN JUST INCREASING THE ACTIONS AND SPEED. SOMETIMES THE MOST PRODUCTIVE THING YOU CAN DO IS RELAX. . . . Whilst our culture promotes a never ending amount of doing, Restorative Yoga is the radical, counter-cultural experience of simply being. Our culture is built on how productive we can be, how much we can achieve and keep achieving. It can feel as if nothing is ever enough. We can even observe this within the Yoga community itself. Restorative Yoga is the radical, counter-cultural experience of simply being. We spend time and care setting up these props so that when we practice they support us fully and we may profoundly relax. Restorative Yoga has it’s background in the work of B.K.S. Iyengar who has pioneered the use of props to help support the body in Yoga postures. Other Iyengar style teachers such as Judith Lasater have evolved the practice and written extensively on Restorative Yoga. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to teach and creatively grow in finding my voice leading restorative yoga classes over the last 6 months. It is a beautiful thing to find a niche and know where you come home to in your gifts to the world. This weekend will be my final restorative classes for the season with the schedule changing for the warm weather and being outside more.
