now i wanna talk abt ibo ending bc of mjkl so .here i go

erm. spoilers under the cut teehee

keep in mind its been awhile since ive watched so some details are fuzzy

see in my Onion especially with hindsight mika and orga's fates were sealed as far back as the ending arc of s1, with biscuit's warning and subsequent death acting as the catalyst for what the show ends up at... or as i like to put it

s1: fucking around

s2: finding out

biscuit is very , Very clear about the sort of place their actions will lead them, and presses orga on if he is truly prepared to make the sacrifices his decisions will lead them to. orga, being a both teenager and raised in a cruel, merciless world, lashes out in kind. Violence is what he knows, and violence is what he uses to get what he needs.

every single parental figure, authority figure, etc, hammers this in for him. naze is basically mafia. the men in charge on mars were particularly violent and cruel towards a bunch of teenage boys, that old guy whos name i cant remember is Very fine with them using these methods to keep moving forward

the show is VERy clear about this. violence IS a path forward. its a very effective path forward. but you cannot expect to take a violent path forward and take no losses, because you are not built different.

tekkadan created the sort of world that they could no longer exist in. the world that created tekkadan is gone, and the world no longer needs tekkadan as a driving force for change. which means, of course, what happens to the members?

id argue that Zero of the original members of tekkadan exist any longer. they are either dead or so changed from their starting points that its hard to say theyre even the same people. take ride, for instance, who is so wrapped up in the violence he was raised in that he cannot stop lashing out, relying on continuing violence in the form of guerilla assassinations. not that the guy he killed didnt deserve it, because he Did, but its emblematic of how ride no longer fits into the world hes created. he is an angry, Angry child, and the world has moved on without him.

and of course, the most obvious being mika and orga, both dying for their cause. mika literally gave his entire being to barbatos, losing feeling and movement in half of his body... the second mika lost sensation in... was it his eye first? i dont remmeber. but i was like oh no. ohhh no. is there a world in which mika makes it out alive? i dont think so. mika is Particularly representative of the sort of world they lived in: he is the perfect alaya candidate, undergoing it 3 times, so in tune with his gundam that people are surprised at his skills, and he is consistently referred to as a demon. as far as the world is concerned, and honestly as far as mika is concerned, he is a tool to be used, and the world he grew up in was happy to have him that way.

however, what use in a tool of war in a time of peace?

and for orga, when i was watching with chiye during all of s2 i was like get him OUTTTT of that suit. but the suit is a sign of how he is no longer the boy he was growing up, hes changed, hes experiencing a disconnect with the violence he understands vs the world he wants to create. orga is the QUINTESSENTIAL example of 'guy who believes hes built different' and he is gunned down in the street for it

waves my hands around. im abt to go play overwatch so i dont have a thought out conclusion for my Words but. in general. ibo is both a optimistic and cautionary tale: the world can be changed for the better by many means, including violence, but if violence is the route taken, there Will be consequences.

if ur all about discourse then that makes me a bit sad and i think the most important thing is enjoying fun and if a person enjoys having fun with their lives (maybe mentioning something once in a while but not getting into a fistfight over something dumb) then they’ll likely get along with me though sometimes it doesnt work like that but oh well!

i dont know what this question means for SURE but in people the funy is the most important if ur not FUNNY then u cant really be my friend because the main thing i look for in a friend is fun 

if you use me to vent a lot to then i’ll probably be like “uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh try this” and not even bother getting close to you the main questions would be about circumstance n all that stuff like jeeeeeeeeeeeze please dont veeeeeent to me that often it makes me feel awkward and i dont vent to you so why woudl yo ufeel comfortable telling me that
