Greetings. I decided I want my own personal blog, as I had my own account on another site before and I prefer my space.

I am Homura Akemi, and I'm an introject from Puella Magi Madoka Magica. My memories are from the main series, Rebellion, Magia Record, and hopefully soon Walpurgisnacht Rising, when it comes out in December. (Hopefully.)

I use she/her, though it/its is fine too, as most days I don't feel very human. I was also the previous host, as well as the current host of the Nutcracker Subsystem. Do not expect any of the others from that subsystem to speak here, unless you ask them. Said subsystem consists simply of me and my Claras, who I love dearly. If you wish to speak to them, be nice.

Buckle up kids because I'm pissed off and have a few points to make.

Obviously @raeisms doesn't need me to fight her battles for her. That's not what I'm trying to do. She's perfectly capable of sticking up for herself, and she has been, but it's getting ridiculous and I want to speak up about what this is leading to.

Fandom spaces are dying. Pushing people to stop creating is the cause.

That isn't a stretch. It's a fact. Not understanding boundaries or purposefully stepping over them is a massive chunk of the problem. It isn't just here, but this is already such a small community and pushing away artists/authors—people creating things for free with the purpose of enjoyment—is killing it. Artists and authors are, and always have been, the heart of fandom. Without them there is nothing.

Fandom etiquette has been left behind and forgotten. Ages are skewing younger and I don't care if I sound like a silly old millennial for saying that's also part of the problem. There's older people this applies to as well of course, but I've seen so many barging in who just don't understand how this works because there's so little guidance anymore. Again, not just here. It's happening across all platforms to all fandoms and it's terrifying.

What happened to "don't like, don't read" and using filters to curate what you want to see? What happened to thinking for two seconds about whether something you say could be hurtful and then not sending it? What are you trying to prove? I can't stress enough that you are the reason this will all stop existing.

TL;DR if you want to keep this space alive, grow up and learn some fucking manners.

Someone's been looking through my posts I see....

Okay! I'll admit that i forget which is numbered which, but TWEoS has two possible endings, due to the fact that I was, well... persuaded... into not making it a huge tragedy.

Succession is the ending where Adrien accepts his fate. After a heartfelt reconciliation with Ladybug, he returns to his post as Chat Noir. Now that Ladybug is on good terms with him, Paris as a whole is on good terms with him, as the Influence that keeps the city at her beck and call favors those she likes and shuns those she doesn't. Adrien continues to model and keep up the persona of Adrien Agreste, slowly retreating further into it to please Marinette. Their identities have been revealed to each other, and there is no other option but to get together.

They get married, have kids, and live in the Agreste Mansion.

Adrien, fundamentally changed by the experiences he was not supposed to have... is left forever unfulfilled. Him and Marinette may be soulmates, yes... but Marinette's soulmate is Adrien Agreste. And because of how the love of another person changed him, that is no longer truly him.

Exile is the ending where Adrien escapes his fate. After the successive murders of Emilie and Gabriel, the two people who abused him the most in his life, Adrien sees that the only way to fully escape their influence is to leave Paris entirely. The Adrien of Exile knows that he has not just been exploited by his parents, but by The Narrative. Rather than say goodbye to Claudia, he renounces his miraculous (bringing the initial premise of the alternative, much longer Kuro Neko to a close), fakes his death, and leaves the city.

What Claudia and Adrien do afterwards fundamentally does not matter*. As they leave The Narrative, they are free to do whatever they want.

The downside, of course, is that there is no way for Adrien to escape his role in The Narrative without fucking over the people around him. While Kagami was ahead enough of this to find comfort in Felix, Marinette is sent to "finish" the plot of "Season 5" alone—Her unification of the Cat and Ladybug is seen not as a triumph, but as a last ditch effort to fix a story crumbling apart at the scenes.

Her and Nathalie, masquerading as a Monarch pro tempore, are left to have a final confrontation. No wish is made, because no wish can be made. It was all just a lie, built on a lie, built on a lie.

...The beautiful part about this is that they are both tragedies, in a way. The noble figure (Adrien), after all, who at the end of the story experiences some sort of death (the death of his fledgling 'new self' in Succession, the death of his 'old self' in Exile). Succession plays more into the inevitability of tragedy, and how even despite all he worked for Adrien was never able to escape his own fate, whereas in Exile the story plays more into the idea that the death of Adrien is also the death of the world around him, and that is disappearance drives it into chaos and ruin.

Of course, they're both sort of meant to sound royal because many great tragedies involve kings and Adrien's fame as Adrien Agreste is practically like royalty if we want to go there, etc etc etc. All very fun all very cool NOW I JUST HAVE TO ACTUALLY WRITE IT DOWN

*But if we really must know... the idea is they elope to Madrid with Claudia's kwami, Karra, and live out a just-okay-but-never-perfect existence. If that's what you actually wanted me to talk about you can send in another ask, I just got carried away lolol

(this isn't going to be coherent at all and for that I am so sorry. let's blame it on it being 1 am almost 2 am and not on me generally being incoherent)

the thing is, right, they never technically 'hard launched'. even though they've confirmed and flaunted their relationship a thousand times in a thousand different ways, and every video feels more and more like we're intruding on a private moment, they've never outright said it without some semblance of plausible deniability/ a joke ("husbands, business partners, [...] soul mates, just mates, who the fuck knows") Like that is reality. It's why we have the joke about their ability to toe the line so closely but somehow never actually cross it.

But then you have "Six months of being an uncle" and "You must be be so proud" and it's like... sure the reality is they never confirmed their relationship (and one could argue those captions are the Hard Launch) but that's not as important as showing Dan the love they have for him, publicly supporting him and claiming him as part of their family. Like 'who cares what you have or haven't said about your attachment to him, what matters is WE love you and it's even more important that you KNOW we love you like a brother.'

and of course this is just approaching it from a familial kind of love coming from the Lesters, a romantic perspective from Phil himself is another ballpark entirely. But that boils down to 'logistically there are easier ways to live but the love we have is more important so we will stubbornly continue this way until it all works out the way we want it to' (and then it did. against all odds, it did.)

hi!! thank you for taking the time to write such a long and kind message! i'm always blown away when people tell me they appreciate my tags, like fr, wow?? i'm so so happy to hear how they make you feel <3 the tetro community artists create a lot of things that i find pleasant, thought-provoking, impactful, or things that evoke feelings in general, which makes the words come to me more easily. i always like it when i find i have a lot of things to say about a piece of art! i'm glad that my words can brighten people's day too.

speaking of yapping, i hope you don't mind cuz i wanna do that right now :3c I LOVE YOUR ART!!! you have mastery over using shapes, the general "blockiness" of your style reminds me of those early 2000s cartoon network shows, which is nice to see because these artstyles aren't that popular nowadays. so that, + the smoothness and thickness of your line art makes your character artwork look really defined and sharp.

and your colour choices... i have no idea how you do it, but they're just sublime. like in your DRDT designs, for example, the cream + gentle red of okazaki's suit, the greenish black of hiroaki's, the vibrant orange of isono's hair contrasted with the bluish green, the beautiful purples, pink and white of tamba's outfit... bruh. this stuff almost brings me to tears. it's breathtaking how beautiful these colours are, and how well they go with each other. they make my brain go brrrr.... not to mention the designs themselves are fire too RAAHHH!!! lies down... i just think it's neat.

also i need, neeed to talk about your chap 3 au. it's so meaningful to me. i've seen people kill off wada as a victim in their AUs A LOT, it's like a staple at this point. usually, it's him taking someone else's place or just to have him die in general ig, and i don't find that very compelling. like, oh wow, victim wada?? definitely haven't seen that before lol. but in your au, he dies, but it was because he decided to strike back against his abuser, and i find that so beautiful.

disclaimer, ik okazaki is also a teenager and i'm not celebrating her death etc. but the fact still stands that wada is a victim, hers and in general, and you had him take back some of his power for the first time in his life. not only that, he also inadvertently saved a person he loved from being executed (whether it was a good thing for her is another matter). the killing game itself makes the participants inherently powerless, but he acted with as much agency as you can while being inside it.

i LOVE this wada. this is such a wonderful take on his character, a version of him that's a bit to the left, that values himself and his own dignity a bit more than in canon. and maybe one that holds onto bitterness/anger more, as well. but it STILL MAKES SENSE!! it doesn't feel OOC! this au just took the him that stabbed okazaki as self defense and turned that into more active and retaliatory force.

also, strangling a mf to death with HDMI cables is just iconic. pure king shit. anyway... i'm very glad that canon wada's survived this long, and i love him for who he is, but if he had to die, it wouldn't be so bad if it had gone something like this. thank you for creating such an awesome AU.

as @stygeanbluebasilsprout demands; a brief elaboration on the briefest hints of what's going on with those funny bird guys i posted earlier today. you're all not welcome.

the world of APF takes place on a planet known as mimue. mimue is home to six continents, though only three of said continents are actually relevant to the main plot.

as legend goes, sanctus and requies were once involved in a bitter and bloody war. what caused it, what stirred it on and on, nobody knows for sure. but the casualties were immense. had it come to a natural conclusion, the face of the world would've likely been rendered unrecognizable. and it was! but, well... not because the war came to that conclusion. no. it came to something far, far different.

in the last second of the last battle of the last siege, just before requies triumphed over sanctus, an angel descended from the heavens and called the fighting to a standstill. it called for peace. it called for love. it called for the two rulers of the two nations to kneel. and kneel they did!

and, in exchange for an end to the fighting, this enigmatic angel blessed the world with magic and glory.

the blessing is a controversial topic among mimue historians, but what cannot be argued is the ramifications it's had on the world as everyone knows it. since the angel's departure, magic has become a part of everyday life on mimue. clothes, food, transportation- everywhere you look, the angel has left its mark. and nowhere is magic more prosperous than the not-even-remotely-humble country of arboret, founded some two hundred years after the beginning of the end of the old world.

since its very inception, arboret has been ruled by the careful hand of head monarch rigel alphoris orionis, alongside four inmortal nominees of his own choosing. it is the world's only oligarchy, the undisputed capital of magical research and prosperity, a grand forest of wonder and power without limits. arboret, they say, prides itself and its people above all else- those chosen by the angel, those loved by it more than anything- and damn all who stand in the upstart nation's way.

it is also extremely, flagrantly, horrifyingly ableist. but that's a suitcase for another day.

in the case of OCs, specifically, the subjects of the snippet i showed are the five oligarchs at arboret's helm. they are, in order of election:

Head Monarch Rigel Alphoris Orionis, the founder of everything arboret has to offer, the strongest person alive, the oldest being alive, the evil quirked up white boy himself, etc etc, you've heard about him already

Second Monarch Betelgeuse Alphoris Orionis, rigel's spouse of a thousand years, a loud and boisterous warrior with a propensity for violence and an only mildly concerning habit of ignoring their own safety in the name of getting punched so hard they can't think straight

Third Monarch Pollux Gemino, a flippant and flirtatious dandy with an eye for fashion and an even greater eye for the inevitable march of time and how it slowly and meticulously takes away everything ey has and will ever love

Fourth Monarch Aldebaran Tauri, a perpetually exhausted and deeply resigned merchant with all the air of an underpaid salarywoman and all the patience of a catholic saint who's five minutes away from choking the devil out in cold blood

Fifth Monarch Fomalhaut Austrini, the nation's newest leader (having been elected only two years prior to present-day APF), an embodiment of everything arboret rejects and wishes it could push aside and leave to rot. his very existence is a controversial statement. he knows this. he takes pride in this. he won't let anyone stop him from using this to its absolute fullest. to this day, his presence on the throne inspires contempt and aggression, to which he responds in kind- how could he not, being the only one without magic in a country full of mages?

the arboretian oligarchy is, in its purest form, a deranged gang of weirdos who should not be trusted with any semblance of political power. it is also, in its slightly diluted form... something of a found family situation.

or so the head monarch supposedly thinks. all rumors that he's a little too sentimental about his fellow rulers are heresy and slander. because as far as he's concerned, the rest of them aren't sentimental enough.

as compensation for sitting through this incomprehensible summary that tells absolutely nothing while still revealing absolutely everything, here's two of the most important APF images of all time. you're very welcome.
