One of the things I rlly love ab the Backflip!! anime is that they legit have such detailed gymnastic moves/routines & even tho they obvi can't hand animate every movement, somehow they manage to make it seem like it?? Like you know there's CG involved but Fr can't even pick it out, whenever I think I see it I don't see it anymore!!
Love that for them!!!

A darle.
¿Aún no caes?

PokeToon Episode 14 Review - Playing Tag On A Chansey Safari!?
What I like about PokeToons is that they often explore some aspects in the game that isn’t super common, but they make an original story out of it. For example, the story with Blossom and her male Nidoran was like an origin story of the Gengar vs Nidorino fight. Another example would be the Primeape episode where it’s shown that Primeape has to use Rage Fist 20 times in order to evolve, which it did. For this episode, it’s a story about Chansey and the Safari Zone. I love that this story is basically a story about that showcases how annoying capturing Chansey in the Safari Zone can be, but also goes beyond a frustrating mechanic to tell a unique story.
The story is about a girl named Meg who goes to stay at her uncle Bozly’s place for a week. Bozly is the Safari Zone’s Warden, taking over from the previous Warden. The Safari Zone is home to an infamous Chansey wearing a hat which is Billy’s hat and a symbol of him being a warden. While Meg encounters the Chansey several times during her stay, she also notices that Bozly is not so eager whenever the Pokémon shows up. She spends her week getting to learn about her uncle, the Safari Zone and the infamous Chansey.
I honestly really like this story. It’s not because of the appearance of the Hoppip line, but how it was executed story-wise and character-wise. For the story, it was a good way to bring back the Safari Zone back into animated media for the international audience as the Safari Zone episode in the main anime was banned overseas for showcasing firearms. I loved that it gives a global, modern revamp in that it adds in not just the Pokemon you can find in the Kanto Safari Zone, but also Pokemon from succeeding generations; they even give Bozly a Maschiff, which one wouldn’t normally have in a Kanto Safari Zone setting. The variety is also applied to the trainers in the Safari Zone as one can see a Nurse from Gen 5, a Rich Boy from Gen 3, a Ranger from Gen 5 and a Hiker from Gen 7. Little details like this showcase why PokeToons episodes are really great.
I like that even though Meg is the protagonist, the story also looks at Bozly’s perspective on himself and his low self-confidence. Meg is a cutie and a sweetie as she’s always energetic to see what Pokemon there are and she also is Billy’s confidant in a way as he opens up to her; she’s also kind to Chansey and respects her a lot. Bozly starts off aloof to his niece, but warms up to her as he tells her about how the title of Warden was passed down to him from his father, but believes that Chansey doesn’t acknowledge him, so she stole the hat. It’s thanks to Meg that Bozly learns about the issues of the Safari Zone like how closing off so many places caused the Hoppip family to go around and cause issues to Pokemon (and Meg) due to their pollen and that Chansey was the one going around and healing everyone. This caused Bozly to realize he had misjudged Chansey and apologized to her. I just love that it’s not only kids who grow in Pokemon stories, but also adults.
Chansey is a character herself. She may not talk, but her body language does so much. I love how mischievous she is towards humans, but she cares a lot about the afflicted Pokemon as is her role as a healer. My favorite part was showcasing a visual representation of what it’s like to encounter a Chansey in the Safari Zone and what it’s like to throw balls and miss. I was like “So, this is how Chansey avoids being captured whenever you meet her in the Safari Zone in Gen 1 games.” I’m sure a lot of people’s frustrations are recalled by this visual representation alone. I also like how Minimize is showcased here from her becoming very tiny and then regrowing back to her regular size. I like the detail that she hides in very random places like the hat and in Meg’s bag at the end.
The animation studio is ZEXCS, which have done other episodes like Episode 10 and 12. I feel like they’re really good with movement and in stylistic choices because each of their production look so different that it’s hard to tell they’re from the same studio.
The voice cast is actually pretty amazing for a short like this. First, Meg is voiced by Hina Kino who’s practically typecasted to voice cute girls. She did an amazing job with making Meg cute and sweet but also gave her a lot of sass. Some of Kino’s roles include Miri from Buddy Daddies and Lishu from The Apothecary Diaries. Bozly is voiced by Shigeru Chiba, who you might know as the voice actor for Buggy The Clown from One Piece and Jigoro from Demon Slayer. Another big name is Mai Nakahara as Meg’s mom. It’s a little odd that Chansey’s voice actress wasn’t credited, but I do get the feeling that Chansey’s voice actress is also Nakahara.
This is definitely an episode I’d recommend to Pokemon fans just for the sheer quality of storytelling. It clearly showed and told a lot in just 17 minutes. I honestly can’t wait to see what they produce next. What are your thoughts on this episode?

Diabolik Lovers (ディアボリックラヴァーズ, Hepburn: Diaborikku Ravāzu) is a Japanese visual novel franchise by Rejet.
An anime adaptation was first announced at a 2013 event called the "Rejet Fes 2013 Viva La Revolution". During the "Otomate Party 2013" event later that year, it was announced that the adaptation would be directed by Atsushi Matsumoto and produced by the Zexcs studio.
Diabolik Lovers (ディアボリックラヴァーズ Diaborikku Ravāzu), abbreviated as DiaLover, is a Japanese anime television series directed by Shinobu Tagashira and produced by the animation studio Zexcs.
Diabolik Lovers More,Blood (ディアボリックラヴァーズ モア、ブラッド Diaborikku Ravāzu Moa,Buraddo) is the second season of the DiaLover anime series which takes its title from the second otome game of the same name, Diabolik Lovers MORE,BLOOD.
However, the second season is not a direct sequel to the first season, but a spin-off based on the second game of the franchise.
Plot
First season
Yui is a kind and gentle seventeen-year-old second year high school student who lived a normal and peaceful life, until her father moved overseas for work.
“Not wanting her to be alone” , he sends her to live with an old friend and his six sons. When she arrives at their mansion, she discovers that they are vampires.
Only to be informed that there is a different, much darker reason she was sent to them. While she optimistically accepts her situation, she unravels mysteries of the Sakamakis' past and her own.
Second Season
After living with the Sakamaki's for a month, Yui begins to have strange dreams and apparitions regarding a mysterious purple haired woman. Her fate takes a turn after she gets involved in an unexplainable fiery car accident with the Sakamaki's.
This incident heralds four new vampire brothers who suddenly appear and abduct Yui for their own purposes.

also Lady had a 2th project (or a sequel anime) for the 15th anniversary of the anime series as one of three anime OVAs/animes created, and it was based off of Momona’s rival/sister-in-law, Lillian and titled: Lillian.exe, and was a homage to the 1998 anime, Serial Experiments Lain, just like with the Sunshine OVA and the other Lady OVA which also aired on TV, Lillian.exe aired on TV as well, unlike the other two which aired at 11:00/11:30, Lillian.exe aired at late-at-night, but at different times and dates on different channels, the main ones, it aired on were Jewelpet’s normal broadcast homes, TV Tokyo and TV Osaka, unlike the Sunshine and the other Lady OVA, which aired on TV as cross-promotion, Lillian.exe aired on solely on TV, but appeared later on home video.
This was also the only Jewelpet type of media or type of animation from a season’s universe to not feature an appearance of Ruby and her human partner, Lady’s human partner for Ruby being Momona instead, it focused on Lillian, this also did feature Luea, but she was only mentioned or an cameo, or speaking off-screen until the final episode where she made a full appearance, though not appearing, there were mentions of Ruby and Momona, and also cameos of characters from Lady and other shows in a non-canon sense. Here’s the recreated poster I made from the dream of the actual poster i saw in that dream. Genres: Cyberpunk, Psychological Horror, Techno Horror, Science Horror, Neon. TV Networks: TV Tokyo, TV Osaka, TV Aichi, Family Gekijo, Star Channel. Opening:「DUVET」 by Jasmine Rogers and Bôa, song lyrics by Jasmine Rogers, Airdate: October 23th 2025 - September 2th 2026 (TV Tokyo), Lillian - Voice Actress: Risa Taneda, Animation Studios: Studio DEEN, Studio Ghibil/ZEXCS (additional help), Sponsors/Creators: Sega Fave, Sanrio, Bandai, Bushiroad, Yume Creations. So I watched Chrome Shelled Regios
Bit of a disappointing one. This anime started in 2009 and did not seem to reach a large audience unfortunately. Maybe it did, but this isn't something I've seen anyone talk about ever. Part of the reason might be because the world building.
Chrome Shelled Regios has a very unique fantasy world in a post-apocalyptic setting with its own politics, power balances, monsters, magic systems, and more. I really really like the world presented here, but only after I got more than halfway through the show. A huge issue this anime has is its introductions. You have absolutely no idea how this world works coming in and it doesn't explain it at all. I was constantly confused about the purpose of so many things and a good amount of it I still don't understand.
The characters don't help with this issue either. They're not even bad characters or anything, in fact, they're also fairly unique. However, there are several forced conflicts or out of character miscommunications that hurt the flow of the story. It doesn't help that the main character is the weakest in terms of characterization. (not to mention several fanservice bits that completely break the pacing of the anime)
There's even this weird TV show in the anime that is in English that occassionally breaks up the story, but originally the viewer is led to believe it's something that may have actually happened. As it turns out, no, it serves nothing to the actual plot.
This sucks since I actually like the conflicts the plot has. The overall story is very intrrguing and I wanted to see where it qould go. Unfortunately this is another one of those anime that do not complete their story. I don't know if the anime adaption caught up to the light novel or what, but Chrome Shelled Regios ends on a cliffhanger and it will likely stay that way forever. Ya hate to see it.
The animation is done by Zexcs and it's a studio I don't know much about. I knew they were a sister company to studio Feel, but that's really it. I have not seen many Zexcs anime. For the most part though, the animation is pretty nice. The action is done alright and the character animation can be neat sometimes. The animators can really pop off in some scenes, but it didnt happen much. The only other show I've seen from Zexcs recently is The Legend of the Legendary Heroes....which is also unfinished. I hope that's not a trend with that studio.
This show certainly had the potential to be memorable and do something great but it just either doesn't get there or stumbles where it really matters. I think it's a good time capsule of early 2000s anime tropes at least. I won't deny it was interesting to watch, I just can't help but be disappointed though.
#text#anime#review#Chrome Shelled Regios#Zexcs#I wrote this hella late so I'm not as detailed as I'd like to be
