Eté 2024, vacances d'une semaine, déconnexion avec Claire on s'échappe de la ville et on loue un studio à la montagne, dans les alpes valaisannes, à Zinal. Six jours de randonnées, de la plus tranquille à la plus intense, montée progressive en efforts. Matinées de lecture et d'écriture, soirées de lectures, fatigués jusqu'aux os. Une nouvelle aventure chaque jour, se perdre, éviter la pluie, se baigner en ruisseau, prendre le téléphérique, faire des photos, monter jusqu'aux cabanes, changer d'itinéraire, périple joyeux et plein de surprises que je raconte avec mon nouveau court métrage documentaire autobiographique, témoignage sous forme de journal intime. Le 10 août, Kilian Jornet faisait une nouvelle clé de bras à Sierre-Zinal : 10ème victoire, nouveau record pour 7 dixièmes. Le 13 août, il partait pour un projet et on a vite pigé le délire : tous les 4000 des Alpes en faisant les jonctions en vélo. Parce que oui, il a beau dire « le plus possible de 4000 », quand on connaît l’animal on sait bien qu’il veut aller titiller les 82 sommets de 4000 des Alpes et si possible le plus rapidement possible. En 9 jours : déjà 23 sommets, 33 000 mètres de dénivelé et des journées qui visiblement ne font plus 24 heures. Kilian, c’est ce couteau Suisse venu de Catalogne capable de claquer un KV en moins de 30 minutes, Sierre-Zinal en 2h25’34’’, Zegama Aizkorri et ses 42 bornes et 2736 mètres de D+ en 3h36’40’’, la course de quartier en moins de 20 heures, être le seul mec à avoir raflé les 4 monuments de l’ultra ou encore faire Chamonix - sommet du mont Blanc - Chamonix en 4 heures, 57 minutes et 40 secondes. Et si Kilian avait en réalité 200 clones pour se répartir les dingueries ?

Sierre Zinal: you won't want to miss the epic mountain race's 50th edition on Saturday

SON PLUS GRAND CHEF D`ŒUVRE ?

Le boss Kilian Jornet a régalé à Sierre-Zinal et a offert au monde entier un récital pour sa 10ème victoire :

• 31 kilomètres et 2200 mètres de dénivelé positif en 2h25’34’’ et 8 dixièmes (vous verrez dans le point suivant que ça a son importance). Allure moyenne : 4’41’’/km. On hésite entre rire et pleurer.

• Record de la course amélioré de… 7 dixièmes. L’art du spectacle.

• 1,5 seconde devant Philemon Kiriago après une dernière descente qui a provoqué des angoisses diurnes et des terreurs nocturnes à tous les spectateurs. Des défibrillateurs ont d’ailleurs été utilisés.

• Quelques kilomètres rigolos : le 2ème en 5’14’’ avec 147 mètres de D+ (VAP 2’51’’/km), le 13ème en 4’10’’ avec 100 mètres de D+ (VAP 2’21’’/km) et surtout le 19ème en 3’38’’ avec 113 mètres de D+, VAP 1’53’’/km. Les contrôleurs aériens de la zone ont eu un coup de chaud et une trace de transpi dans le milieu du dos.

• Quelques segments amusants : les 20 premières minutes de montée à 1635m/h pour une pente de « seulement » 16,6% ; 517 mètres de D+ à 2030m/h. DÉLIRANT.

Kilian mesure 1m70 mais prouve une fois encore qu’il est bien le plus grand coureur en montagne de tous les temps.
