Matterhorn from southern crest of Dent Blanche with a bit more sunlight par Bernhard Thum Via Flickr : This is the third and last shot that I'll show of that glorious sunrise when I could capture the Matterhorn from the southern crest of Dent Blanche. A subject that fits very well for the Leica M9 (or the newer Leica M surely too) and the outstanding Sonnar 2/85 from Carl Zeiss. Not having a mirror, the Leica rangefinder cameras are perfect to take such shots with available light. At least for me, it seems to be quite easy to lay the camaera on some underground to shoot with any time of exposure. Hand held, I often could take sharp shots even with 1/8 seconds.

Ascent to Alphubel par Bernhard Thum Via Flickr : At ascent to Alphubel from Täschhütte, overview to some of the giants of Wallis is very nice at the morning light. From the left to the right we can see Matterhorn; Dent d'Herens, Pointe de Zinal and Zinalrothorn. This photo was taken with the Mamiya 7 loaded with Fuji Velvia 50. The slide was drum scanned with Hiedelberg Tango.
