This advertisement is for Can’t Spell Treason Without Tea by Rebecca Thorne, a cozy fantasy steeped in sapphic romance about one of the Queen’s private guards and a powerful mage who want to open a bookshop and live happily ever after…if only the world would let them. Cover art by Irene Huang.
WHAT IT’S ABOUT
All Reyna and Kianthe want is to open a bookshop that serves tea. Worn wooden floors, plants on every table, firelight drifting between the rafters…all complemented by love and good company. Thing is, Reyna works as one of the Queen’s private guards, and Kianthe is the most powerful mage in existence. Leaving their lives isn’t so easy.
But after an assassin takes Reyna hostage, she decides she’s thoroughly done risking her life for a self-centered queen. What follows is a cozy tale of mishaps, mysteries, and a murderous queen throwing the realm’s biggest temper tantrum.

Read A PIRATE'S LIFE FOR TEA by Rebecca Thorne if you love river pirates, meddling, planning, scheming, friends-to-enemies-to-lovers, good wine, waterproof libraries, cravings for adventure, code breaking, puns, kidnapping, heists, expensive tea, rare books, existential crises & crocheting.

For anyone unfamiliar, this is Travis Baldree’s publisher too! Legends & Lattes. :D
THANK YOU for everyone who’s been a member of this journey. I am over the moon excited about this!!

I am reading the cutest little lesbian fantasy series right now and I can’t find any fan art so i guess it’s up to me to make it lol
idk when but it will be happening
anyways the series is called Tomes & Tea
and the first book is called “Can’t Spell Treason without Tea” and it’s just a super cute easy read (and the second book has pirates)

✨ AUDIOBOOK REVIEW ✨
Tea You at the Altar by Rebecca Thorne
⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
QOTD: What’s a series you love?
[instagram]
Review below cut
Thanks Libro fm and Pan Macmillan UK for allowing me to listen to this one in exchange for an honest review.
I did end up going and buying myself a physical copy of this one towards the end of reading, hence the photo, but I did listen to the whole thing.
I liked this one a little less than the previous books, but I honestly do think that listening to it had something to do with that. The narrator was fine but the accents were not the best and it did take me out of the story at times.
THAT BEING SAID, this was a delightful continuation of the series. I loved being back with Kianthe and Reyna and their growing found family. All the characters in this book are so wonderful.
I really loved the whole “overthrowing the queen” plot going on and I loved how much care and consideration was put into the planning and execution. I’m not entirely sold on the resolution, but I am intrigued to see how it plays out in the final book.

if i had a a penny for every time in the last couple of weeks i read about an ex-knight with light hair who is now learning who they are outside of their knightly profession, and they fall in love with a dark haired tea-maker/person who does shit with herbs and tea and also has powerful, slightly chaotic magic. . . i’d have three pennies, which i think just exposes what i want from cozy queer fantasies.

Current read: “A Pirate’s Life for Tea”, Book 2 in the Tomes & Tea series by Rebecca Thorne
This book is shaping up to be just as amazing as the first one (“Can’t Spell Treason Without Tea”), which was my first read for the year and I LOVED IT. I went and bought this book as soon as I finished the first one. It is a cozy, sweet, comforting read. And while you are reading these books, your anxiety will calm.
