A FOR AFFECTION and B FOR BOUQUET tell us the Truth
A   :   AFFECTION.   how does your muse show affection?
so!! i personally like to think there are two (2) distinct stages in how a moon lady shows her affection, it's obviously a lot more complex than that, but for simplicity's sake :] and to help in my explanation for it is a couple of lines from the material books which live rent free in my head 🧎‍♂️...
at first they are headstrong (tsun). this isn't to say that she's uncaring or cold — just that she... isn't very explicit in showing her affections. she may come off as aloof or distant, but really she just has trouble expressing and even understanding her own feelings. also add in her hard-to-read expressions to the mix, and i wouldn't be surprised if not many realize just how much she cares.
i think of it as someone who cares from you from afar... maybe not someone who's always up in your case, but someone who keeps a careful eye on you and steps in when you need help. we see this a lot in canon as well, hakuno doing just that while maintaining this sort of distance from them. partly because she doesn't want anyone to feel indebted to her, mostly because of her tendency to make things an all give and no take relationship for herself due to her own issues and stuff, ahahaha. she'd be someone who looks out for you from a distance, but would always be the first to step in when you need help :,)
the five love languages always seem to come up in these questions, so allow me to say that hakuno's would be physical touch (followed by quality time). that said, she'd typically show her affection through acts of service — which also ties in with her fears of being useless, she's the type to bottle her own personal issues but will happily shoulder the burdens of others. focusing on others and being of use to them is her way of coping too. back to the topic of affection though! an important thing about hakuno is how she always acts with the other person in mind, so her way of showing affection isn't really set in stone. it varies from person to person. if someone responds better to compliments and praise, she'd be more vocal in expressing her feelings; if someone is more touchy-feely and likes physical contact; they will be receiving headpats from the moon ladyl; so on and so forth.
this is the default for the way i write hakuno showing affection, but with development (both hakuno's and the relationship she has with the muse), we can slowly enter the second phase. 😎
but they show their weakness once they reach a certain point (dere). you see, a development i'd like to see from my hakuno is for her to be open and vulnerable with others to allow herself to grow and heal. not just her typical act of sidelining her problems in favor of helping others. she can still take care of others, but she should allow herself that same kind of care too! so i'm hoping at at this stage, she's grown enough as a person to show affection just because she wants to; which... doesn't sound like a lot, but it is for stupid selfless hakuno!
hakuno's still someone who's very much influenced by others because of her unique "upbringing" (though she most definitely has a a personality of her own, i feel like i should make that very clear) so there's a lot of possibilities depending on who her partner is. if we're taking canon for examples, with nero, i'd say she's more bold and enjoys both giving and receiving praise and affection; whereas with tamamo, it's in a more silent but strong way that really shows when tamamo needs it the most. different people can influence her in different ways, so it's real fun to think about!
i did say that hakuno's love language is touch, so let me also add that she's also tell you that she's that special brand of touch-starved where she only wants to be touched by people she really likes, so once you've wormed your way into her heart like that? it's over 4 u. it'd be such a stark difference! like-- from 😐 to 🥺, to put it through emoji terms. she's always so reserved and well-mannered but can be so touchy with the right person... i think you'd come to realize that hakuno isn't really adverse to touch, just awkward and unsure of how to initiate it. very fond of handholding, hugs and cuddles. she's a simple girl, she really values the the little things, y'know! (though with someone she's romantically involved with, she certainly wouldn't be against.. spicier things as well. cough cough).
to better understand the amount of Soft(TM) her kind of affection is like, i urge you to please have a look at this and this because the girl with the longer pinkish hair and the vibes these images have is just... hakunocore.
so they are tsundere. THIS LINE ACTUALLY MAKES ME LAUGH SO HARD WHJFJEHD THEY RLLY JUST OUTRIGHT CALLED HER A TSUNDERE!!!!! CRYING,, i don't wanna simplify hakuno to a trope (because she is So Much more than that) but a tsundere is characterized by the development of going from cold to friendly — not too far off from the development of a cold and rational ai to a warm and caring human, ay? similarly, a tsundere's growth is being more honest with themself. usually has to do with their love interest, but in hakuno's case, i'd like to think of it as her being more honest with her own troubles and feelings. you ask me for the Truth tho eve (and i can't say no to you smh!!!) so i will say that hakuno certainly has her own tsundere moments, yes. she's vey multifaceted!! so i can't really simplify her to one dere type either because again, different muses can really bring out different sides to this moon lady :]
B   :   BOUQUET.   does your muse like flowers? which ones are their favourite?
I ENDED UP TYPING MORE THAN I THOUGHT SO-- I'M PUTTING MY ANSWER FOR THIS HERE!
valentine's day alphabet, still accepting!
