World Environment Day celebrated by planting Trees.

Nagpur, 5 June 2022: On World Environment Day, ‘Tree Plantation & Importance of Plants in our Environment’ Awareness was done by Atmasparsh Charitable Foundation & Orange City Hospital, Nagpur.

Atmasparsh Charitable Foundation in Association of Orange City Hospital and Research Institute, Khamla, Nagpur organized a plantation drive at the Hospital Premises.

Over 20 saplings were planted

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Abhiruchi Palsapure, President, AtmaSparsh Charitable foundation said, “I am very happy that Orange City Hospital provides and assures to take care of all plants. Tree plantation is very important for the community and this initiative will go a long way in inculcating awareness among the citizens environment conservation. Trees and plants are the prime source of environmental purification and beautification. Trees inhale carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen, reduce temperature and create a healthy effect, both physically and psychologically, on human beings. In fact, forests are the only natural industry which produces oxygen. According to international standards, area under forests should form at least 25 per cent of the total land inhabited by a human population, India is having 21.54 per cent. Also to conserve the nature use only cloth bags and make Nagpur a polythene free zone”

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Vidya Nair, Vice Chairperson, Ravi Nair Hospitals Private Limited said, “while celebrating World Environment Day, we must observe that the Nagpur Temperature is rising every summer, it’s a high time for us, so let’s take pledge to plant as many as plants we can and be assure that all will grow well”.

Thanksgiving done by Mr. Vaibhav Bopinwar, Adi-Sec of AtmaSparsh Charitable Foundation, Emphasizing the need to protect and conserve the environment said, “Atmasparsh has always protected and conserved the environment. We propagate sustainable ways in all our Charitable Programs. I am happy to see the high enthusiasm exhibited by the Volunteers and local people who have come forth for the drive.”
