one thing about jesse is that he has impeccable handwriting. most would assume it'd be a slop (he's a guy, grew up getting his hands dirty, and mostly writes stuff in a rush) but he's pretty careful with how he writes. also, he's ambidextrous, though he favours his right hand for most things, he tends to fall to his left to do a lot of others (signing things, guitar, [censored usfw thoughts]). tldr; he has great handwriting, probably frustratingly so, & it's very similar to his mother's way of writing— small, cursive, lots of loops, occasionally dots his i's with hearts, etc.,

At twenty-six, cowboy crooner Jesse Colt is at the height of his career and only growing in popularity. The lone son of Wyoming-dwelling parents who haven't lived in the spotlight, Jesse is an outlier in his ordinary, working-class family, and credits his roots to his hard-working nature.

Coming off the sucess of his third, and most recent, album, titled "Doggone", Jesse says, "... it's been a weird time in my life, I guess. I grew up playing guitar in my old friend's basement, trying not to wake his family [laughs]. Playing on stage, y'know, all these crowds and people comin' to see me, you can see how that's different.

A country boy at heart, you can take the boy out of the West but not the West out of the boy, seemingly. Jesse hasn't lost any trace of his signature accent, or slang, and credits his trips home to how he's able to keep himself grounded among an onslaught of popularity. "My ma, she's really the driving force behind trying to keep me normal. If I went home acting any different, I reckon she'd chase me right on out of that house."

After the sudden and internet-breaking split between Jesse and his now ex-girlfriend, Gabrielle, Jesse says he isn't looking for romance. "If it finds me, then I s'pose it's found me," he states. Upon being asked about Gabrielle, Jesse is hesitant to respond. "We had a lot of good times together and she really kept my feet on the ground the last few years. It's hard to compress so many years of your life with someone into a few words, so, yeah. I wish her all the best."

Despite his kind words, Jesse hasn't fought off any speculation coming from his recent album, Doggone, that hints to infidelity on Gabrielle's part, especially as she flaunts her new boyfriend, Jesse's ex-drummer and childhood best friend, Malcolm D. In Jesse's new song, "Dragging my feet," he sings, 'He left his boots at the foot of the bed / laced up mine instead. His are a size too small / all day I'm dragging my feet."

In spire of recent heartbreak, and the sudden loss of his father, Jesse has kept himself busy. He's currently travelling for concerts around America, lighting up stadiums he once thought near impossible for a smalltown kid from Wyoming, and breaking into the charts for the first time in his career. He's at a once unheard-of high, and the future looks bright. So, what's next for the twenty-six-year-old from Wyoming? According to Jesse, he's looking to take some time away from the spotlight at the end of his busy year and spend some time at home with his mother."

"She's always been my biggest fan," Jesse says, smiling shyly. "She's sorta my favourite person in the whole world, and it kills me that I can't be with her right now. I almost cancelled every show I had, y'know. I came so close to phoning it all in after my father passed, but she wouldn't have it. She knew how much he means to me, and how much she does, but she also knows how much my music means to me, and after the past few months, I kinda need this. The stage, the fans, the crowds. I was raised pretty religious and my dad always used to sit in the garage with me, watch me work on stuff. So up on any stage, when I have his old guitar and I'm singing, I really do feel like maybe he's still around. Some people are gonna say that's dumb or it's stupid, or whatever. I don't care."
