Hi Oddberry! I saw that you saw my ask on Cozi's page and the confusion I had along with it 💀
Now that I think about it I actually do remember Cozi mentioning your Megara OC/yuy was yours and just forgot! 😭 My apologies 😅
Buuuuuuut…now that I know who the owner is, may I ask for some lore on your oc and what her relationship is like with the other NRC cast?
It’s no problem at all! Cozy and I have been collaborating together for years so there is a lot of overlap. She’s the designer of Katerina, but she helped some with characterization too, just as I pitch in sometimes with Tia and the boys!
I’m sorry I don’t have any fun visuals to accommodate this and it’s just words BUT hopefully it’ll be an interesting read.
It will be under read more so I don’t bother everyone, OKAY LETS GO!
Grim- Starts off as a sort of Meg with Pain + Panic type of dynamic where they make little digs at each other and argue in petty ways. Obviously they both genuinely care about each other and are protective in their own ways. That's her lil guy, and she is HIS hench-human who he must protect at all costs.
Ace + Deuce- Best friends #1 and #2, at first they both treat her like she can't do anything herself because she 1. doesn't have magic 2. is a girl (who is still taller than them but still.) Her intellect, though often coming off as sarcastic in her advice, and her fencing abilities prove that she isn't some helpless magicless girl make their friendship feel more equal. They're basically her little brothers now. They still walk on either side of her around school just so the other students don't get any funny ideas.
Riddle- She and Riddle have similar moms (I changed up her upbringing after reading Go The Distance by Jen Calonita) Kat's mom isn't as abusive as Riddle's, but incredibly overbearing and imposing because she wants her daughter to live a successful life. This is a theme with her and the other over blotters, but she empathizes with him and the two of them get along well. I think the moment between Yuka and Riddle in Book 2 manga where Riddle fixes Yuka's outfit for her feels very them too.
Cater and Trey- Basic cordial relationship, no complaints there besides annoyance at their previous complacency in Riddle's overbearing rules
Leona- She's a strong and respectable woman. He's already ready to help her out in a pinch. He's reliable and smart. They get along well.
Jack- Another bestie. I think the two would have a good time doing exercises together. She doesn't join him for a run every day but he's good motivation to not rot in her bed on weekends.
Ruggie- She loves his hustle. Eat the rich, lil dude.
Azul- What a slime ball. She takes everything he says with a grain of salt. HOWEVER, she has been bullied in the past (not as bad as he was, but was intentionally excluded and isolated from her peers) that vulnerability is hard to show, of course he does everything he can to cover it up. If she makes a deal with him, she's sure to read the fine print and always makes good on her word so she can get out. It'd be no good if she was in debt twice.
Floyd- Called her a catfish, offending her right off the bat. However, he's tons of fun to hang out with when he's in the right move. He demanded she teach him to fence as soon as he found out she could do it. Now he calls her 'catfish' with a lot more affection. The nickname isn't so bad now.
Jade- She can't tell what he's thinking unlike his twin and Jade's teasing doesn't always sit right with her, but he knows how to behave himself. But she is gonna be looking at im like 🤨 occasionally
Kalim- OH KALIM!!! Kalim, she wants to preserve your happiness. I feel like Kat would get along really well with the light trio as a homage to Meg working for the villain but falling in love with a genuinely kind well-meaning hero. Kat definitely blends in well with typical NRC students with a healthy amount of skepticism towards the intentions of others and being admittedly pretty cut-throat when upset. She sees how Kalim made mistakes, but knows his intentions weren't bad, and she still feels a bit guilty for snapping at him so badly at Book 4 out of frustration. She doesn't want Kalim to lose the optimism he has for the world, in fact, she wishes she had that kind of joy herself. They get along pretty well...Perhaps, TOO well.
Jamil- They're literally like two peas in a pod, like a girl version of him. I imagine Kat and Jamil rant about stuff together while braiding each other's hair and whispering sarcastic remarks to each other. She has empathy for him and wants him and Kalim to turn out okay, but she doesn't impose, it's not like she understands the full extent of what they're going through but she's there to lend a helping hand, or nod and go "exactlyyy" when Jamil vents to her.
Vil- He'd want to take her under his wing. She's pretty, has modeled in the past in her original world, is literally supermodel height and is full of potential. She views him as overbearing at first and then becomes appreciative of his strength and care for his dorm mates. Sure, he gets on her for not making the best decisions with what she does with her day, but it's not so bad to get free skin and hair care stuff.
Rook- She found him off-putting at first but then grew to appreciate the fact that he finds beauty in everything...She wishes she could view the world like that. Damn light trio, making her guarded heart melt like that. His earnestness is a trait she's come to respect and surprisingly, his appreciation for her almost goes up to the same levels as Neige and Vil 😳 h-hello?? Oh he's so sad he didn't get to see the work she did in her original world...
Epel- BESTIEEEE! They're so tall queen and short king. Kat is forever grateful of everything he did for her in Book 5, from letting her squeeze the life outta him from her fear of heights when they rode a broom together to literally saving her life with his spell. They totally had mini sleepovers when she stayed in Pomefiore during Ramshackle renovations.
Idia- Oh man, the Hades/Meg dynamic right here. Her phone died and she lost all of her old game consoles and manga collection when she came to Twisted Wonderland, he saw this as an opportunity to convert someone irl into his nerd interests. He uses it as blackmail to get her to do stuff for him like run errands and junk. It's really just a stupid excuse to become more isolated and to keep her around, Kat resents him as she feels she's being used. After Book 6, he drops the act and frees her from her 'debt,' now they just hang out and play games like normal friends. He comes up with cringey nicknames to call her and Muscle Red has assumed she was his girlfriend during a gaming session between the three of them. Idia is currently planning how he, Ortho and Kat can group cosplay now that he has the confidence to do it in public with his gamer-girl friend (I cringe as I write this)
Ortho- Basically #3 bestie next to Ace and Deuce. They relationship started tied to Idia, Kat assuming that Ortho was just some robot servant Idia made, which Ortho corrected her on. She felt personally responsible for Ortho going rogue during Book 6, with her being dismissive of his role as Idia's younger brother haunting her as she never got to properly apologize. As a homage to Meg ending up in Tartarus, I had Kat personally go in there to get Grim, Idia, and Ortho as they fell. She's the one who manages to grab Ortho's memory chip before Vil drags all of them out (Kat wasn't physically changed by Tartarus since she doesn't exactly belong in that world but uh, maybe you'll find out more lol). She believes that Ortho is dead for a while and feels immense guilt over it and definitely didn't cry in her Pomefiore bed at night when they got back (she did.) So when Ortho comes BACK and also BECOMES A STUDENT she had never been so proud and happy. If she catches ANYONE trying to bully Ortho, she will fight (not that he needs it, he has a laser) and appreciates Ortho's general helpfulness. She has played video games in his new dorm room many times.
Malleus- She thinks he's odd, but in a cool and mysterious way. The two of them enjoy talking and wandering around at night. She's invited him inside Ramshackle and when he agrees a few times, she shows him some modern human stuff and they bond over the fact that they're BOTH new to twisted wonderland tech (I imagine it's close to normal tech but different in a way that there would be a learning curve). She definitely thinks he can get carried away with his magic but doesn't treat him with fear. Her stance on him is pretty identical to that of Silver and Sebek's in Book 7, she needs to stop him but also wants to save him.
Sebek- A bestie that took a while to come around. The two get into arguments, with Kat usually taking Silver's side in most small conflicts, both cause she likes Silver and also likes to spite Sebek, but Sebek comes to respect her and her ability to fight for herself. Kat sees who Sebek really is and accepts him. The two still bicker, but it's ride or die by Book 7. If there's one thing they both always agree on, it's that Silver needs to stop hating himself.
Silver- These two...I have an affection for their dynamic because I believe Silver is the closest to a twst Hercules that we have so far. Sweet, a lil air-headed, strong with a kind heart. Kat would feel similarly toward him that Meg goes toward Herc, she wants to keep him safe and she can't detect any of the typical NRCness from him. He's just genuinely a good person and it makes her soft. The two of them both train together, mostly with batons for sword fighting. Kat finds him strange and enchanting and Silver views Kat as a strong person with a talent for swordsmanship. They are each other's rock for Book 7 and I sure hope nothing bad happens to them.
Lilia- He's so weird, but charming. She already figured that he's Muscle Red from context clues but she hasn't said a word to Idia about it because it's funnier that he still doesn't know. He gives her candy for talking to his 'precious boys' and generally spoils her. Kat's father wasn't in her life but Lilia...Y'know, maybe he's what having a dad feels like.
#oddberry asks#Katerina Vallis#This was really fun to type I hope this isn't a super boring read lol

How They Treat You While on Your Period -
In the Twisted Wonderland head-canon collection by Crimson
Since I am on my period, I decided to make some head-canons about it and make it everyone's business ^.^
Note: All characters. Character can be depicted as Yuu or an Oc. Gender neutral pronouns. Character can get a period, do with that what you will. Platonic. I did struggle with this so and how certain characters will react, so sorry if some of these are short and plain. I also thank Discord friends for the help with certain characters!
Warnings: Just menstrual business. Mentions of blood. Some strong language. Long post.
Everything was looking as if it will be a good day, you are hopeful for this in fact! It was supposed to be a day where you felt like taking on the world! However, life loves to make you humble yourself. So now, all you can do is suck it up and power through the unbearable cramps (even though you wish you could just curl up in a ball and just die).
But there is always a shining light in the unfortunate presence of-
Heartslabyul:
• Riddle has a doctor as a mom, he knows what a period is. So when he notices that you are struggling with just walking to class and asks what the matter is, he springs into action. You know his mom had him run to get her some tampons when she was running late to work, he knows what to look for. Just tell him what kind of stuff you'll need and he'll go and get it for you. Midol? Yes. A heating pad? Absolutely. And depending on what kinds of things you like to eat on your period, Riddle will try to steer clear of super sugary foods but he will make the exception for strawberry tarts and tea, predictable like always and junk foods. But if you plead with him a bit, he'll let it slide and won't complain as much if you decide to snack on some chips. Riddle will also be more lenient towards you, meaning that if you're struggling with work or club activities, he won't be too harsh on you and advise you to just relax.
• Trey has a younger sister, he has definitely dealt with periods before and, like Riddle, he will get you anything that you need. Will definitely use this as an excuse to bake you all the sweets you can eat, but he'll also make sure you brush your teeth properly. Trey doesn't want you to get a cavity now. He's not that irresponsible.
• Living with two older sisters, Cater has some experience when it comes to periods. He will tease you by sending a pic of a piece of styrofoam with the caption "is this what you need?" while getting you the stuff you actually asked for. Cater carries around an "emergency period" kit in his school bag, so if shark week hits unexpectantly, all you need to do is go over the best person in the world and you'll be taken care of. You can always rely on Cater.
• Sometimes Ace likes to pretend he doesn't know what a period is just to be an asshole. If you ask him to get some supplies for you, he can and will complain about how much you owe him for it because it's embarrassing. Whenever you both hangout, Ace will chill out in another room and just text you if he wants to talk with you, he'll also occasionally toss chocolate bars and water at you if he feels like "feeding the beast" in his words. And if your nice to him, he'll take pity on you and give you a rough massage. Isn't he just the greatest?
• Deuce grew up with a single mother, he had to do the tampon/pad run whenever she ran out and was stuck in the bathroom. You can bet he will make sure you are as comfortable as possible and get you everything you need, heck, he'll even take over any responsibilities that you have, including your homework please stop him. Will get into an argument with Ace because he thinks it's funny how Deuce is practically your personal maid.
Savanaclaw:
• Leona will not give one singular fuck about your period, or at least only half a fuck since the scent of menstrual blood bothers his delicate, princely nose. If you ask if he could spare some money so that you can get more tampons/pads, he'll say no to your face but will have Ruggie go get you what you need (he is not stepping outside his room just to get Tylenol, be real). But Leona will show mercy towards you and let you take naps in his room which is just an excuse to use you as a pillow.
• Ruggie is also someone who won't really care if he finds out that it's that time of the month for you. And if he is your last resort and your so desperate, just promise to pay him and he'll get everything that you need maybe add in a bit of extra cash for the trouble, or donuts, bitches love donuts. Ruggie will tease you whenever you need to lay down when the cramps overcome you, "must suck to be you right now". Also, he won't really be bothered by the smell of menstrual blood, he's smelled worse.
• Jack will come up to you with concern because he smells blood on you and asks if your injured, will get very embarrassed when he realizes that it's just your period. Brotherly instinct takes over and he'll get you a chocolate bar/your favorite period snack and warm water, then act as if he wasn't doing it because he cared or anything, he just didn't like seeing you curled up in a ball during pe but seriously, get up, people are staring.
Octavinelle:
• Merfolk don't have menstrual cycles, so Azul is stumped whenever he finds out that you're menstruating. He's not ignorant on what a period is he had to learn human biology at a certain point in time, but he really doesn't know what to do when your uterus is trying to kill itself. Instead of asking what you need, Azul takes it upon himself to do extensive research on periods, so he knows what exactly to get for you. Why would he do something like that? Well Azul just loves to show just how much he embodies the benevolence of the Sea Witch he wants something from you, run.
• Jade also doesn't know how to deal with you once he finds out that you started your period, but unlike Azul, Jade actually asks you what you need to be comfortable in your trying time. For whatever reason you trust him with this information. Jade does take care of you, although you feel as if there was something else to this, but you're too much in hell to think too deeply.
• Floyd would act as if you were dying. Each and every time you have a period, he will squeeze you and hang off of you because he "doesn't want to lose his shrimpy". Depending on his mood he will either get you what you need, tell you to fuck off, or get you the wrong things like getting the smallest size of tampon/pad or the cheapest brand of chocolate.
Scarabia:
• Kalim is definitely someone who forgets periods are a thing and when he sees you barely holding on, he panics and thinks you're dying. But after telling him what's going on, he'll calm down and want to help in any way that he can. This guy has 40 siblings and most likely bombarded the maids with questions when they were taking tampons, pads, and treats to the Asim kids rooms, he knows what's up. Kalim will insist that you just sit back and relax while he takes notes for you or just straight up do your homework stop him please.
• Jamil has a younger sister who makes periods his problem, he knows the drill. But does he actually want to? Not really. He has so much on his plate that he can't really bother to take care of someone else, however if he sees you looking like your about to keel over and die, he'll step in with a pack of midol and a heating pad.
Pomefiore:
• At first Vil would brush you off whenever he finds out about your period because he has more important things to worry about, but then stops and springs into action because you are on your period and you will get an acne break out if he doesn't step in. Vil will not tolerate a bad diet and will make sure you are eating things that are high in iron. While your grateful that he wants to keep you well, it's also hell. But don't worry, your skin will be flawless and hey, you get a heated blanket out of this.
• Rook knows when your cycle will start before you do and he will send you a period care package filled with all of your favorite things for your period, including some skin care products. You don't even want to know how Rook figured all of this out.
• Epel is mainly grossed out by the blood. Yeah, he's obviously not going to actually see any blood, it's just the thought of it that has him feeling queasy. He'll suck it up for the most part, especially when he sees your discomfort and offers to give you a massage to help soothe the achiness of your body. Epel also gives you drinks with peppermint in it in hopes of settling your nausea.
Ignihyde:
• Not only will Idia not care about your period, he will ignore you so that it won't become his problem. Unless you threaten to unbox one of his special figurines or to delete one of his save files, then he will let you camp out in his room and get you whatever it is you need just leave his things alone please-
• Ortho will notice something is off and will do a full body scan on you, then he'll proceed to air out your business like it's a health class. But not to worry, he made sure to do some quick research about menstrual cycles and will make sure that you are eating well and help you fully relax as if you aren't dying from the inside out.
Diasomnia:
• The only one who would even know to deal with periods in the Diasomnia Foursome is Sebek, however Malleus will definitely do all he can to make sure you feel pampered. He will be extremely concerned when he smells blood on you, thinking that you are severely injured and will try to conjure up a spell to heal you which would be fantastic cause periods suck ass. You unfortunately stop and explain to him that this is normal. Since Malleus has never taken care of a real person before, he struggles a lot to figure out just how to make you feel comfortable. Will bring back a piece of styrofoam to you because Lilia and Cater told him to.
• Lilia will take your health into consideration when finding out you're on your period, he'll whip up a lot of things that are rich in iron and will help sooth those annoying period pukes and poops aren't you the lucky one?. Lilia will also give you a back massage to really work out the soreness of your tender muscles. He starts calling you his little ketchup packet after this.
• Silver thinks you are the bravest person because you explained to him what exactly happens during a period and will do everything he can to get you through it he makes it seem like this is such a serious endeavor. Silver mainly lets you use him a pillow and a heater, pretty much letting you sleep away the aches and pains.
• Sebek will be exasperated with you and argues why he has to do everything for you he doesn't need to do shit for you, he just cares about you but doesn't want to admit it. He'll sit you down on a comfy chair with a nice blanket while he gets you everything that you need, complaining the entire time. Sebek checks on you periodically to see if you need anything, and if you ask him for something, he'll just huff and grumble about being needy but still go do it.
(Doing head-canons isn't really my thing, but if there is anything you'd like to see, I might do it if I have the motivation for it.)

You never expect this ball to be..THIS big.
You and the rest of NRC have been invited to Nobel Bell College for a masquerade ball. You weren’t a fan of big parties but since you are an Ramshackle student in NRC, you had to go. But since it's a masquerade ball, you have to dress formally which is not a problem for you. But when you entered the ball itself, you were overwhelmed by the amount of people there. You are used to NRC’s student population but this is too much for your heart.
As you walk around the ballroom with your gremlin Grim, you were impressed by the amount of work the people hosting this ball had and you were also greeted with a few of your friends talking and hanging out with a few familiar girls. “Hey J, since when did you four go to balls?” Kalim asks the purple haired girl with a pale purple dress that looks like a goddess dress with black ends. The purple haired girl now known as Jeanne giggles. “Oya~? Us four love parties. No matter what kind of party it is. Masquerade balls are our favorite.” You were not surprised at this news from the mirror curse/demon. “Hey [name]! Did you know that Deuce has been eyeing Jeanne?” Ace asks while Deuce is beside Ace with his cheeks, faint pink at this. “S-Shut up! Jeanne is pretty.” Deuce told Ace who quickly replied with a smug smirk on his face. “Oh? What if I told Jeanne about this?” Deuce later glared at Ace and looks like he wants to punch him but you intervene. “Hey, we are at a ball. So we had to be formal and polite and since you two are talking about Jeanne, then go to her and talk to her. She is not as bad as Headmaster Crowley thinks.” The ADeuce duo look at each other then back at you and nodded their heads and dash towards Jeanne who noticed them.
The ball went on and it went well. You have a fun time watching Grim so he won’t cause trouble, teasing your friends with a smug smile on your face and dancing a few times. At the corner of your eye, you see Ace and another person is glaring at each other and having a small argument. “You know damn well what you are doing. Telling Jeanne, Night, and Dawny to kiss our cheeks. Jamil had to hide face while Deuce did not respond.” Ace told the person who had their arm crossed over their chest. “Come on. I only told them what they wanted to do during this ball. Is it wrong to appreciate the cheek kisses…or do you all want more from the three?” The person asks Ace with a sly smirk and you instantly remember the voice.
Isolabella Duvessa Tsukii, the 1st Vic Warden of Sapphire Lake Dorm, NRC’s mysterious dorm. She is the bookworm and the woman with sassiness and boldness. “You know you are the reason why Vil can’t punish Night, Tsukii.” Ace glared at Tsukii who only smirked. “You say that but you never snapped at Jeanne nor got angry at her. Going back on your word Ace Trappola?” You step in to prevent Ace from hitting Tsukii because you know how she reacted to it. “Yo, Ace. Jeanne and Deuce are outside. Why don’t you go to them or else Deuce will steal her attention?” That got Ace’s attention and he rushed outside to meet with Jeanne and Deuce.
You sighed in relief since Ace and Tsukii have the most confusing relationship in NRC. “You must be [name] from Ramshackle, the magicless student?” You heard Tsukii speak behind you and when you turned to greet her back, you felt your breath caught in your throat. She wears the most beautiful suit with a pair of heels that match one of her aesthetics. You noticed that her right hand has a glove on. Her hair is put up into a gothic hairstyle that kinda stands out. Her hair is curly at the ends with the middle of her head has a black skull with flowers at each side with one of her bangs is slick back. Her eyes just shone brighter in the lights as she raised an eyebrow at me. “Like what you see?” She spoke in a soft yet playful tone that snaps me out of my trance.
“Ah, yes I am. You must be Isolabella Duvess Tsukii, correct?” You ask Tsukii who only smiles lightly. “That is me. You are brave for a magicless student but I respect you.” She spoke softly while closing her eyes. “You have the Sapphire Lake Dorm’s respect.” Whoever says that Tsukii is a mute needs to be punched because you heard her speak only with the others. You and Tsukii just stand in the corner, talking about each other’s school lives and Tsukii gives you advice on watching for red flags and how to control your anger. You might have fallen in love with Tsukii due to her intelligence and advice plus her personality is not like any of your peers. You found out that she only chose to speak.
You was a simp for the NRC’s Silent Bookworm ever since she saved you from getting beat up by Savanclaw and Pomefiore students. You were in awe of her eyes glowed a menacing way as her breathing is not only slowed but controlled meaning she is holding her anger back. After that, you were struggling to breathe whenever she glanced at you and smiled. But when you two hear the sound of music turn into a classical song, meaning you have to dance on the dance floor.
“It seems that we have to dance.” Tsukii spoke as she reached her hand out to you. “May I have this dance, my lady/sir?” Something must have possessed you for a moment when you take Tsukii’s hand, letting her lead you to the dance floor and began to dance closely together. You felt like you two were dancing in the sky, dancing underneath the moonlight. You can’t help but make eye contact with Tsukii. You two twirl around the dance floor while she makes sure that you follow her lead. After the dance, she glances at where her friends and your peers are and you see a sly smirk on her face. Without a warning, she leans you and her down with her holding you by the waist. “T-Tsuki what are you?” You were interrupted by Tsukii kissing you on the lips, you were shocked at her actions. She lifted you up on your feet but you had your head turn to the ground.
You heard Tsukii scoff and chuckle before you felt her ungloved hand cup your chin and make you look at her in the eyes. “No matter what anyone says..you are truly a gem fallen from another world.” She whispered to you before kissing your cheek and left the party to go outside while Jeanne, Night, and Dawn squealed and chased after her. You just watch her leave and now you realize why Tsukii is bold. She has no shame in her actions and she probably knew that you were simp for her. What a shameless and attractive woman of NRC.

You adored your friends at NRC and all of their eclectic eccentricities but it amused you to no end that the person you related to the most was a shut in (undead/fae/demon/god/cursed?) otaku gremlin who was simultaneously the most brilliant person in the room at any given time (usually because he never left his dorm rooms but that was neither here or there) and also the most socially awkward ball of anxiety that you could imagine a person to be.
You meant all of this in the absolutely most fond way possible.
The thing was that Idia, despite what his description might sound like was just so…normal. Yes his hair was fire (or was always on fire? You hadn’t managed to figure out a way to ask without sending the boy into an embarrassed spiral) and you were pretty sure he lived off of candy and soda exclusively while still looking like a gangly skeleton sometimes but being around him made you feel more like HOME than anything else since you had been brought to this world.
The late nights of watching anime together and trying to keep up with his incredibly gaming skills. You didn’t think you were too bad yourself but Idia was just on another level. It was endearing to listen to him congratulate himself after every win and yet still take a few minutes each time to not just point out what you did wrong (he WAS rather blunt) but also go out of his way to show you tricks and teach you how to practice to get better. Having him cheer beside you when you finally pulled off a successful move in a tournament that he had been helping you train for felt even better than when you had beaten your opponent.
Idia was also strangely thoughtful in his own way. He knew you liked a specific temperature and so when he had to keep it too cold in his room because of all his tech he would have one of his oversized hoodies just so happen to be laying on his bed when you visited. His hair would flame pink when you’d ask to wear it but he never said no. And when the room was a little more warm from his machining and building (his tech was incredibly advanced in ways you still struggled to wrap your brain around sometimes) he had, once again, gone out of his way to build a special little air conditioner for you that would ensure you were perfectly comfortable wherever you decided to set up in his room that day.
He always had your favorite snacks and drinks, even indulged you in having Ortho order healthier take out – though he DID roll his eyes – and made sure you had everything you could possibly need for school. Crowley hadn’t bothered to get you a phone but the moment Idia heard that he had fitted you out with a personally designed one of his own making (Cater whined in jealousy over it for weeks), made a matching tablet to his own that he assured you could access any information you might need for classes that you didn’t have the background knowledge everyone else had. He even made sure that Ortho stayed near you as often as possible when he wasn’t at Idia’s side.
He insisted his little brother was more dependable than those ‘friends’ of yours and while you loved them, it WAS nice to just have a quiet walk sometimes and chat with the hovering boy who seemed to worship the ground you walked on. It made you feel like he was your little brother too in a way.
It was why you hadn’t argued too much when Idia suggested you stay with him when Ramshackle’s roof finally gave in and ended up flooding the third floor during a particularly harsh storm. Ace and Deuce obviously had offered up Heartslabyul and while Riddle had readily agreed you didn’t want to bother them since their dorm was already pretty crowded and to be honest despite Riddle having calmed down quite a bit since his Overblot there were still far too many rules for you to have to follow for it to be anything like comfortable for you.
It was a relief really to bring your bag of few belongings to Ignihyde and be greeted by the cheerful Ortho and while Grim was your partner (your two-in-one) it was also kind of nice to have evenings that you weren’t having to focus on constantly getting him to do his own homework as well as your own. Oh, Idia had offered for Grim to join you as well but your furry friend was still kind of weirded out by the headwarden and so he had gladly accepted Ace and Deuce’s invitation with Trey’s promise that he would ensure that all three of them would stay on top of their homework.
The room Idia had given you was right next to his and while you hadn’t noticed it before you also weren’t really looking since you knew Idia and Ortho were the only ones who lived on this floor of the dorm. He had gone all out in setting it up just for you with a comfy bed, a desk and computer set up completely decked out for gaming as well as study, and even gone out of his way to get posters and décor from anime and games that you had watched together that you admitted to liking.
It reminded you of your own room with manga and books and a laptop with far too many fanfics and fanart downloaded on it to be safe.
Idia’s hair had gone pink for a good hour when you had gushed about how much you liked it and the three of you had celebrated the temporary house warming with your favorite take out and a movie marathon until you had fallen asleep against Idia’s shoulder and Ortho curled up against your side.
Of course, the stay lasted longer than you had first expected. Crowley wasn’t exactly reliable when it came to your and Grim’s care, so the repairs to Ramshackle dragged on a month then two. You still went about your normal routine of school and the crazy little ‘jobs’ that the headmaster wanted you to do, and then after saying goodbye to your friends you went home with Ortho and were greeted eagerly at the door by Idia who chattered about this or that game mission he finished or design he was working on or anime that he saw that he thought you would like.
He asked about your day and what you had done with his little brother to have fun. He never seemed interested in the others of your little ‘first years’ group but you figured that was only because he hadn’t interacted with them much personally. You tried to suggest a few small get togethers that might be more comfortable for Idia to join, gaming tournaments and movie nights, but your friend would always manage to convince you to stay in with him instead. It was easier, after all, and more comfortable with just the three of them. Besides, you spent all day with your other friends, wasn’t it only fair to spend time with him too?
You didn’t really mind in the end and while Ortho liked the idea of his brother gaining more friends than just you after the first week of living in Ignihyde he must have figured that Idia just needed more time to adjust before taking the next step.
Unfortunately, without living with Grim anymore and having Ramshackle to yourselves where all your friends could congregate without worry of rules or other residents besides the ghosts, you did eventually notice a change in how often you were able to see them. The plus side was that Idia pointed out that with you staying with him you didn’t really need to work at Mostro Lounge to pay for expenses. You thought it would be a nice break and so even though Azul complained about it and tried to con you into a more permanent contract with him for work, you were able to put a little more time into studying and enjoying your school life.
When you woke up one day after an all night gaming session with Idia and found your throat sore and your body sluggish you thought it was just a cold and wrote it off. You pushed back the exhaustion and got changed for school, deciding on a fruit smoothie for breakfast that Ortho made for you since you didn’t think you could handle much food at the moment.
By lunch time your exhaustion had turned into a migraine and even Sebek took notice of how ill you looked.
“Humans are frail beings! You should rest so that this insidious illness does not end your life!” he had exclaimed in obvious worry.
You had assured him it would be alright but after the others talked you into it and Ortho confirmed that you were running a fever, you gave in and trudged back to Ignihyde. You never got sick much back home and when you did it was pretty mild so you knew a day of rest and a good night’s sleep would put you back on your feet again in a day or two at most.
You were wrong.
When you woke up next it was to the blinding lights of the infirmary and Ortho was worrying over you with Crewel and the nurse on the other side of your bed.
It turned out that entering a new world where you had no immunity to common viruses and pathogens was not safe.
“It’s a miracle that you’ve lasted as long as you have without getting sick sooner.” Crewel admitted as Ortho continued to make scans and explain what potions and medicine they had used to save you from the life threateningly high fever that had taken over your body before dinner had even hit.
You had been out for three days and Ortho had been in tears as he told you that they thought you wouldn’t make it at one point.
Of course, your friends had tried to stay at your side but had been eventually shuffled off by Crewel and Crowley to sleep and go to classes. It was still a relief to see them once more the moment they found out you were awake and dropped everything to rush to your side.
Grim and Deuce had actually started crying and you wanted nothing more than to give them hugs but apparently Crewel had to set up special barriers around your bed to act as a sort of ‘clean room’ with only Ortho able to actually interact with you safely to ensure that no more germs were brought in.
Crewel promised that they would work with Idia to find a way to safely inoculate you against the worst diseases and help build up your immune system slowly so that you would hopefully not be placed in this sort of danger again.
Your friends all spent hours with you, sitting just outside the barrier and chatting, telling stories, and trying to get your mood up. They were incredibly worried, obviously, and you couldn’t help but feel fondness for them and even the others that came to check on you – Azul and the tweels showed up after hours and Leona had even come to nap in a nearby bed for the day – but you were pretty drained and ended up sleeping quite a bit as you recovered.
They said it was too dangerous for you to attend classes for a while and so Idia and Ortho turned the floor you lived on into a ‘clean room’ area so that you could recover more comfortably until you were better able to handle the germs of their world again. Idia assured you through his tablet that he would work endlessly to find a way to help you and knowing just how intelligent he was you trusted that he would figure it out.
So you moved back into Ignihyde, returning to classes with the help of a matching floating tablet like Idia’s and spending your free time as you had before with the two brothers. Your rooms became home and Idia had even made changes so that your rooms could be connected and then expanded further by turning a few more rooms into a ‘clean room’ kitchen where you could cook if you felt like it – since you did grow tired of take out sometimes – and another part of the floor was designated as a hobby room so you could work on whatever personal projects struck your fancy.
Idia did absolutely everything he could to make you feel at home and ease the trapped feeling of not being able to leave. He even got you honorary Ignihyde uniforms to wear when you were streaming in class and your wardrobe was soon filled with comfy and cute clothes that you could enjoy when you felt like it. After all, he liked living in his hoodies but he knew you liked lots of different styles.
His hair had even turned pink when he said that he saw some that he thought would be cute on you and so he had got them too. Cute little kitten knee socks with toe beans on the bottom and a casual cosplay outfit for a character that you liked. Anything that you looked up online and showed the slightest interest in showed up soon after.
You chided Ortho on privacy and not stalking your internet usage and the boy giggled and promised that he wouldn’t do it again. He was too sweet to stay annoyed at, though, and even though clothes and merch did still show up randomly from time to time you let it pass as long as he didn’t go overboard.
But that first illness wasn’t the last brush with death you experienced and after they did a trial of numerous shots and potions and a flexible collar that set tight against your throat and constantly read your vitals you were still unable to go outside without becoming dangerously ill.
You continued to try and Idia continued to work to find a way to help you be able to live safely outside but after the fourth time that you almost died Grim and your friends begged you not to try again until everyone was SURE that it would be safe for you. It was so incredibly lucky that you survived each time and while Idia was able to design and build tech that enhanced magic enough to save you he wasn’t a god and he might not succeed next time.
It was hard.
You hid in your room for a week, not coming out and not talking to anyone as you were hit with the realization that you might not be able to see your friends in person ever again. To be able to hug them or smack Ace over the back of the head for a dumb comment. To cuddle Grim in your sleep and listen to him purr despite his insistence that he wasn’t a cat and therefore DIDN’T PURR.
When you finally let Idia in you cried in his arms and Ortho promised that he could hold you anytime you wanted and purr in Grim’s place.
“You’re not alone. You have us.” Idia promised, still pink from holding you so close but he had been getting better about personal contact and it felt nice to be held after realizing that you were a bit touch starved from everything.
“We’ll never let anything happen to you.”
Your mood rose a little and Ortho was able to ensure that the potions and medicine that you were having to take could at least not be tasted in the smoothies he made for you. You settled back into your life there and focused on doing your best in school and staying positive on finding a way back to your own world.
You excelled in your lessons with the help of the Shroud brothers and you even turned into an assistant of sorts for Idia as he taught you things about his technology and designs. He especially liked that he could show you how to take care of Ortho if anything happened and he wasn’t there.
“Not that that will happen, haha!” he grinned, “Why would I bother with the outside world when I have everything I need right here?”
You really were grateful for Idia and Ortho. You knew there was no way you could have lived with any sort of happiness locked away from everyone without even the brothers for companionship.
“Thank you, Idia.” You whispered into his neck one night while the three of you were curled up in bed watching some live action remake of an old anime.
Lately you hadn’t bothered going back to your own room to sleep when it was much easier to stay in Idia’s room and much nicer to not sleep alone when the worst of your thoughts haunted you.
“I don’t know what I’d do without you. You saved me.” You admitted.
Idia snuggled you closer, having grown more accustomed to your touch and since then turned into a bit of a barnacle as he used any and every excuse to be as close to you as possible. You felt him chuckle against your hair.
“Of course I did, that’s what heroes do after all!”
“Nii-san is the best hero!” Ortho piped in from Idia’s other side and causing you to laugh.
“Definitely my hero.” He agreed playfully and liking how you could see the hair over his shoulder flushing pink.
“L-let’s keep watching the movie.” Idia said quickly, his confidence seeping away under your honest words.
With Idia and Ortho’s help you not only excelled in your studies but also advanced to the point where Crowley allowed you to jump a grade to be in the same courses as the older Shroud. Your friends still had game nights with your tablet and you tried your best to stay close to them but it was pretty inevitable that you would grow apart from the group. You kept all the pictures that you took of them and Grim, made photo albums actually, but when Ortho noted that looking at them made you sad you agreed to put them away and not go over them as much.
Idia hated seeing you sad and put even more effort into trying to make you happy with games and the best he could buy and make. Anything you showed the slightest interest in he made happen. Ortho didn’t even have to spy on you anymore since almost all of your time was spent at Idia’s side. He could see when you would scroll through something on your laptop and pause over a certain item. He even tried to help you feel better about the collar by making multiples with different designs so they were more fashionable and cute.
Ortho complimented you on the one that looked like a ribbon with a bell like a cat’s. Idia had insisted it was a joke and nearly had a heart attack when you actually laughed and put it on, finding his overwhelmed and embarrassed face adorable. Ortho suggested you keep it for when you wanted to distract his brother while gaming.
Before you even realized how much time was passing until you realized that you and Idia were graduating in a month.
It was a bit of a low time as you would miss your friends but Idia promised that you could stay with him at his home until it was safe for you again and you could still contact them as you had been. It helped but it was still hard and you admitted that you missed being outside. As cliché as it sounded you missed the sky and grass and hearing the breeze.
Idia was obviously worried over your state of mind and put his whole attention into making you smile and comfortable.
When you were able to transport to his home on the Island of Woe with the help of mirrors and magic, you were greeted by a stern woman with hair like the brothers pulled into a tight bun and a special suit with a sealed mask over her face to keep from passing germs to you. She was short but polite and while she didn’t seem to be terribly impressed with you she didn’t seem to mind your presence either.
“There is much I need to see to so I will leave you here. Remember our deal, Idia.” She said with a short nod before turning and disappearing.
“Of course, mother.” He nodded seriously before turning a shy smile to you and offering your hand. “I have a surprise for you.”
Taking his hand that now felt as familiar as your own, you let him lead you through the stark and futuristic hallways until you reached a large door that looked more secure and heavy duty than others you had passed.
Once Idia unlocked it – DNA scanning and a whole slew of other securities that you could only boggle at – he led you into…a home.
It was a whole living complex that was clearly designed after your rooms in Ignihyde but much larger. There were labs for his work so he wouldn’t have to leave you for long, rooms for recreation and even a large, indoor waterpark that Ortho was excited to take you later.
But the best.
The best was the expansive botanical gardens with artificial sunlight and hologram walls and ceiling that gave the illusion of the sky. There were places for you to swing and ponds with beautiful koi that lazily wound through the waterways. Birds chirped in the trees and you were sure you had seen a few squirrels too. Butterflies were abundant and fluttered around the endless, brilliant flowers that painted everything around you.
You were speechless. You couldn’t stop yourself from walking off the path and instantly dropping to your knees to bury your hands in the soft grass and laugh as a few curious butterflies fluttered around your face. The flowers were real and smelled divine. You could feel the warmth of the ‘sun’ above and even felt a slight breeze that you didn’t know the origins of. Things you had almost forgotten how they felt outside of memories.
“Y-you said you missed the sky.” Idia said, hope in his voice as he tugged on the bottom of his jacket. “I know it’s not the real thing but-“
He was cut off when you threw yourself into his arms and tugged him into a kiss.
There had been something growing between you both for a while now but neither of you were quite sure what to do about it. You didn’t know if you were staying. You didn’t even know if you’d live long considering how easily you got sick.
But Idia gave you the SKY and you realized you couldn’t try to ignore your feelings anymore.
It wasn’t a very good kiss at first, Idia trembling with his hair the brightest and pinkest hue you had ever seen, but when you wrapped your arms around his neck he finally gathered the courage to place his hands on your waist and hold you closer. You cut your tongue on his sharp teeth slightly and his lips were slightly chapped but as you both figured it out slowly nothing else seemed to matter.
“W-w-welcome home.” He managed when you finally pulled apart.
“It’s only home with you, Idia.” You smiled at him, watching fondly as his expression softened in awe and disbelief. Like he couldn’t believe you were real and you were there with him. Like somehow his life was better than anything he could have possibly dreamed of.
Idia stammered and Ortho laughed as you teased him with how they would have to practice their kissing skills.
Of course, Idia was a prideful genius and it wasn’t long before he was a master at the best ways to fluster and unravel you.
Eventually you gave up on Crowley ever figuring out a way for you to get home and while Idia still worked tirelessly to help you get strong enough to go out into the wider world again, with him and Ortho there and an entire world he had built for you just so you could smile…well it made it easier to keep waiting.
It wasn’t so bad, after all. In fact, it was the happiest you could remember being. You still got updates from your friends every now and then and you did miss them but Idia and Ortho never let you stay sad for long and with your relationship blooming it was easy to forget that there even was a world outside of the paradise that was your home.
A year after you moved to the Island of Woe, you woke up late one night with Ortho charging in his pod and your lover’s side of the bed cold. Yawning you climbed out of the covers, absently scratching at the ‘kitty collar’ he had fallen asleep in and began wandering around to find Idia. You were tired and it was increasingly difficult to sleep properly without him wrapped around you in some way.
You stretched a little as you passed through the corridor towards his most used office and absently tugged on the hem of Idia’s shirt that you had stolen, realizing you had forgotten to pull sleep shorts back on earlier.
There was a light coming from under the office door and you thought you heard Crowley’s voice. Which was odd, since it should be night time at NRC too and you didn’t know of any reason he would need to talk to Idia right then. You absently knocked as you opened the door, covering a yawn when Idia looked up at you quickly.
“Aa-a! You’re awake!” he stammered, clicking a few buttons on his computer.
“Hm.” you mumbled in agreement. “Not really. I need you back in bed.” You pouted, walking around his desk and draping your arms around your lover’s shoulders.
“O-of course. I’ll be right there. Just having to f-finish something.” He promised.
“Idiaaaa.” He groaned, nuzzling against his temple and turning bleary eyes on the computer screen. “I’m tired. Come to bed. Please?”
Idia’s arm slipped around your waist. “R-right, okay. Sorry.” He said quickly, closing out a few files.
“What are you working on, anyway?” you asked sleepily.
“J-just some security things. Headmaster wanted some things upgraded.”
You snorted. “Surprised he’s willing to fork out money for that.” You admitted dryly.
“I’m doing it as a favor. You know for school spirit and stuff like normies say.” He grinned but was obviously closing out of everything he was working on and locking the computer down for the night.
“Ugh, you’re too nice, Idia.” You frowned, reaching to squish his cheeks playfully and kiss the tip of his nose. “Don’t let people take advantage of you.”
Idia gave one of his little giggles and leaned in to steal a proper kiss.
“I won’t. Promise. I’m too awesome for someone to get one over on me like that. No one’s smart enough.” He said proudly as you stood again and gave him room to uncurl from his computer chair.
His arm was around your waist again instantly and he was guiding you out of the office and back to bed.
“Really, though, the headmaster should stop being so dramatic. Even his naming skills are horrible.” You said absently with another yawn. “Project Persephone? Really?”
You didn’t notice the unconscious clench in Idia’s fingers.
“Y-yeah. He kinda insisted on it, weird bird.” He laughed, the sound was kind of weird and off kilter but it WAS pretty late so he probably was just reaching his sleep deprived limit.
“Well, let me know if he gives you problems and I’ll give him a good tongue lashing.” You said with a playful pump of your fist, and earning another laugh from the other.
“Don’t worry, he’s afraid of me I think.” He grinned, showing off his sharp rows of teeth.
You snorted at that as you crawled back into bed and held the blanket up for Idia to join you, leaning into his arms as he pulled you close and tucked your head under his chin.
“I don’t know why. You’re the sweetest person in the world. Well…besides Ortho.” You say, fighting back another yawn as you settled into the warm comfort and allowed your mind to start easing back towards sleep.
“I’m glad you think so.” He whispered into your hair, his fingers lightly trailing along the back of your neck and the edge of your medical collar.
You thought you might have heard him say something else, maybe even heard Ortho waking up and whispering with his brother but you were too tired to listen.
You drifted off, safe in the knowledge that no matter how badly being brought to Twisted Wonderland could have been, how horrible of a fate you could have ended up with, you had somehow managed to find the one place and only two people that could make you feel at home.
You really were lucky.

Of Masks and Men
Pairing: Yuli Chen (OC) x ???
Fandom: Twisted Wonderland
Genre: fluff
Word Count: 1k
A/N: I listened to this soundtrack while writing this! Jaxon belongs to @ryker-writes
A time spent with friends at Night Raven College's masquerade ball leads to the discovery of a secret admirer.
Despite Crowley’s refusal to spend a single madol more than necessary, Night Raven College’s annual Masquerade Ball was nothing if not lavish. The high ceilings of the cafeteria had been transformed into a cathedral-like grandeur, and ambient golden lights beamed down from the chandeliers, illuminating the partygoers as they danced and chatted.
Yuli leaned against a pillar near the western wall, sipping a flute of apple cider. The cape of her masquerade dress hung over her shoulder in a wave, the pink silk shimmering in the light. She was sure that if she stood still enough, she would blend into the checkered floors and arched windows; just another piece of the glorious scenery around her.
“Don’t eat too much all at once,” she reminded Grim, nudging his side with her boot. “Leave some food for the others to enjoy.”
Grim was stuffing his face at the party table, his own small suit matching hers in color and design. She had worked diligently on their costumes for weeks, only just finishing them that very night. While she was careful and considerate of her own hard work, she couldn’t say the same for her rascal of a dorm member.
“Yeah, yeah, I know,” Grim mumbled around a mouthful of something-or-other. He grinned at her. “I’m just making use of the resources available to us here. Free food here means that we won’t have to pay for groceries for a while, right?”
He went to wipe his paws on the mini ruffled top he was wearing. Yuli pulled them away and made him use a napkin instead. “Yes, eating now means less madol on groceries later- but that doesn’t give you the excuse to stain your shirt.”
“Grim! Yuli!” A familiar voice with a playful lilt to it called out Yuli looked up, eyes brightening. Even with the masks obscuring the top halves of their faces, she would know these two anywhere.
“Ace, and Deuce!” she waved as they approached, bickering as usual.
“I thought you said the masks kept us from anyone recognizing us? But Yuli knew it was us right away…”
“Ha! I can’t believe you actually fell for that!”
Oh, Deuce… Yuli shook her head, smiling fondly. “Did you get those outfits from Sam’s shop?” she asked. “They look wonderful!”
“Yep!” Ace gave her a crooked grin. “Cater helped me and Juice here score a sweet discount thanks to a Magicam sponsorship. Check ‘em out!”
Yuli rounded the two boys, taking in their costumes. They both wore dark musketeer-style suits with fringed capes and felt hats with feathers protruding from the top. The only difference between the two was the tint of the fabric, with Ace’s being a deep red, while Deuce’s was dark blue. “Hold on.” She tugged Ace’s collar up. “There, it’s aligned now.”
“We waited for you at the entrance for a while,” Deuce informed her. “But you never showed up. Did something happen back at Ramshackle Dorm that made you late for the party?”
“No, I was just finishing up mine and Grim’s outfits,” she explained. She spun around. “Aren’t they pretty? I didn’t think I’d have any use for that roll of silk that Vil gave me after the VDC, but I’m glad I kept it.”
Ace whistled, smirking. “If you were gonna show off for us, you could have just done it in private, you know?”
Deuce went red as Yuli rolled her eyes. “Oh, shut up, you little shit-”
“Indeed, our Child of Man looks quite radiant tonight.” A deep voice rumbled in her ear. Ace and Deuce fell silent beside her. Only one person could have that effect on the students of NRC- Yuli knew exactly who it would be before she turned around.
“Tsunotarou! You’re here!”
The great Malleus Draconia smiled down at her, the dark jewels of his mask perfectly complimented his green eyes. “Child of Man,” he greeted, and nodded at Ace and Deuce, who returned it nervously. “Lilia was kind enough to remind me of this little rendezvous tonight, so I made it on time.” He paused. “I didn’t see you at the opening ceremony. Did you perhaps get lost? You haven’t had much time to get used to Night Raven College’s sprawling campus.”
“No, I was finishing up Grim’s costume,” she explained again. Yuli didn’t bother to mention that she’d been here for over half a year now. A few months was trivial to an ancient Fae like Malleus. “Speaking of Lilia… he must be here as well, then?” She glanced around.
“Yes, he was performing some peculiar dance that he referred to as the ‘WAP’ on the far side of the room just a few minutes ago-”
“GET AWAY FROM LORD MALLEUS, FOUL HUMAN!” Sebek appeared, pushing his way through the crowd.
“Aaaand, there goes the peace,” Ace muttered under his breath, frowning. His scowl only deepened when Silver followed soon after, along with a tall boy with dark hair. Yuli recognized him as Jaxon, the headmage’s son and Savanaclaw student- and Ace’s perpetual rival.
“Sebek, the Prefect is only making polite conversation with our Lord,” Silver sighed, stepping to Malleus’s side. “The Students of Night Raven College are here today to foster goodwill among themselves, not stay solitary.” He gave a fond glance to Jaxon, whose arm was linked with his.
“But no human is worthy to stand near his side! Especially when I, Sebek Zigvolt, humble servant of Briar Valley, am not nearby to monitor their behavior!” Sebek insisted, face red from the exertion of yelling. Silver sighed, resigned, while Ace plugged his ears. Yuli didn’t miss how he flipped off the loud first year- and Jaxon, too- behind his back. She pinched Ace in the side, making him yelp. “Be nice,” she hissed to him.
Malleus watched the whole situation play out, amused. “I must take my leave now,” he mused, “Lilia will be wondering where I’ve gone by now. But I wish you well, Child of Man.” He paused. “And just so you know, a certain King of Roses has been watching you from across the room this whole time. Perhaps he is too shy to approach you first?”
With a sweep of his cape, he was gone.

(The continuation of this post where during a spell class a portal opened and the boys' female doubles as well as MC's appeared in the class) (I think I could make it an independent "story" for the adventures of my MC /OC /YUU)
My MC /OC /YUU and his double crossing the gaze in the class: * Double bi panic *
*Now we will have to find a solution to bring these young ladies and this gentleman back to their reality, but in the meantime here is the look of our twisted guys if they were girls*
Dorm leaders:
Riddle: Looks both serious and cute, with a round cheeky face and big eyes with long thick lashes as well as a pretty pixie haircut. Obviously she stays small but is always bigger than my MC OC YUU, her voice both soft and sharp, a very interesting contrast.
Leona: Made more of a woman than a young girl, still has magnificent hair, bewitching eyes and has a very toned and nicely muscular body. His voice is deep with that tone both seductive and bored. She knows perfectly well that she is beautiful, that she has charm and adores the handset with her immense intelligence. It's an absolutely formidable combo. She is the same height as her male double.
Azul: Gives that mafia-like aura (Or Sugar Mummy), with her hair styled in an impeccable bun and her tailor that is both professional and flatters her gorgeous figure perfectly. Her smile is both sweet and dangerous. But we all know that deep down she is a sweet girl who needs reassurance and who needs to realize how smart, hardworking, and beautiful she is (and we know any of us don't would stop proving it to her). She must be two or three centimeters shorter than her male double.
Kalim: She's still a sun ball and a full cinnamon roll! So positive and supportive! Tie up her long silver hair with a cute headband and always do her makeup in warm tones (where instead Jamil helps her with her makeup like that). Always wears tons of gold bracelets on her wrists and ankles, is very tactile, and has no problem cuddling the people she loves and appreciates! Is the kind of friend who makes sure you eat well and that you don't miss anything. (I can see her thinking that she and Jamil have more of a sister relationship than a master and servant relationship). Is exactly the same size as her male double.
Vil: Let's be honest here, Vil would be the most gorgeous woman who hasn't set foot at Night Raven College for decades after The Beautiful Queen! You almost feel like she's straight out of a fashion magazine but no, it's just that our Reine des Poisons takes so much care of her and works so hard to come to such potential! Her magnificent hair would reach her shoulders, her voice would be as beautiful as honey on a slice of bread and her makeup and manicure would be as perfect as it gets! Maybe she would be a little taller than her male double (even without heels). (I don't know why but apart from her care and makeup, I also see her very well making her own jewelry as well as her perfume).
Idia: Haired with two long, fiery quilts, she would be more the type to have an e-girl style but with very loose clothes that would not show her forms (the poor one does not realize that she has the potential to become a model for lingerie). Her voice would be both sweet and high-pitched, and she could also be smaller than her male double. (And Husbando, so many Husbando!). Doesn't trust her smile because of her sharp teeth but that is her charm and she is so fucking cute! Maybe she would be more organized and manic than her double even if her room would still be in a very big mess (at least she didn't leave her underwear lying around in plain sight, she would die of shame if anyone saw the cute and childish little designs on it).
Malleus: This woman ... Would be exactly the same size as her male double! And she would be so beautiful and elegant! With long black hair that she would let hang down her back, as well as her incredible figure! (Also gives those Magical Sugar Mummy vibes). His voice, by all the gods ... The most sensual and that playful note we've ever heard. Her voice is also so deep and sweet (let's not even talk about her laugh or I'll die of happiness). Still gives that awesome and intimidating impression on people but is so sweet when you get to know her (Always make that adorable pout when she's sad or upset, you feel like hugging her tight and telling her that even though she is scary in the early days, she's the sweetest person we've ever met!).
The Vice-leader:
Trey: Don't lie to each other, give these married vibes over and over again. But beware, also hides his game very well because in private ... 🥵. Her beautiful hair tied in a ponytail and her voice in playful tones. Would be the type to wear stockings with his uniform and is the same size as his male double. Smells like cake and vanilla, it's both so nice and it also makes you so hungry!
Ruggie: Is quite skinny because as we know Ruggie often endures difficult months. Short and messy hair, has a cheerful voice and an infectious laugh (Quite fond of pretty things in the background, but since she doesn't have much money, she can't really afford it. If she could, she would certainly treat herself to some pretty hair accessories). Perhaps an unacknowledged Tsundere side. Since she cannot feed herself properly for someone her age, she is most certainly smaller than the average for a Beast Woman. Would probably like to have a cuter look, unfortunately she can't afford it as she doesn't want to look "weak".
Jade: Holy shit, this woman is so dangerous and sweetly sadistic, if you ever pique her interest and she likes you on top of that, I'm sorry for you. Her body is certainly muscular and graceful (She also has quite incredible strength). Has long, wavy hair that she wears half-loose and is exactly the same height as her male double. Her voice and at the same time so soft and cold, you don't know if you should feel comfortable or on the contrary, run as far as possible. Obviously loves going for long hikes, (Her legs are so muscular, if she catches you with that, you won't be able to go anywhere). His tone is so teasing, you can't resist him for long.
Jamil: Very tall, even a few inches taller than her male double. Just like Trey, she smells so good, like cinnamon. Has a fairly athletic build, and remained a very, very good dancer. Very skillful, maybe makes her own wrist and ankle bracelets, also wears a lot of jewelry (not as expensive as Kalim's, but still very pretty and it shows her really well, especially the snake designs ), also wears a lot of ear piercings. His hair is very long, silky, and worn the same way as the male Jamil (maybe with extra pearls in his hair). Her voice is deep (sensual) and with a note of irony and sarcasm. Her make up apply lightly but always in such beautiful warm tones (she also highlights her cheekbones), especially with eyeliner to highlight her intense gaze.
Rook: His hair is worn in the same way as the male Rook, also wears a multitude of hats as well as pretty earrings. Likes to tease those around her, smiling and bright. Has a French accent, of course. But remains someone dangerous in the end. Is the same height as her double, is athletic, skillful and has excellent eyesight (Normal for a hunter). See beauty in everything and everyone! Don't you think you're handsome? Rook will give you ten points for why she thinks you are beautiful and why you should stop thinking that way because otherwise she will stalk you until you accept this truth. Her voice is happy and confident, deep and warm. May like to wear accessories like long socks with natural or animal designs. Specialized in throwing knives.
Ortho: So cute! The little sister you will want to protect at the risk of your life! So smart and friendly, curious too. Wears a cute fiery pixie hairstyle and has a cheerful, thin voice. Is so small and skinny.
Lilia: Oh boy ... see Draculaura from Monster Hight? She has the same look. So much into jokes, loves to surprise people to scare them. Her voice contrasts completely with her appearance since it is deep and velvety. Same size as her male double. Even though she looks so young, she still acts like a child mom. (Obviously, is always so bad in the kitchen, she brings out stuff, sometimes you are afraid that it will come to life to devour you). Despite her jokes, she is still very good advice and listens.
The rest of our boys:
Cater: If fashionable, is certainly a great influencer. Cater pays so much attention to everything, especially the little details and accessories that she wear. Makeup always on top and colorful, could become a model if she wanted. Is smaller than her male double. Joyful and higher pitched voice, her hair is a bundle of silky curls always worn in a cute way (Like Ariana Grande). (Has a multitude of fans and contenders) carefree and likes to give cute or silly nicknames to people she loves and appreciates. Would be the type to flirt with his friends for fun. Probably has a passion for nail art and would be so proud to show off her designs on her Magicam account! Would act with the first years like a big sister although she is not always good advice. She is so teasing.
Ace: Short, messy hair! Pretty tomboy style, enjoys teasing others too much for his own good, always smiling like shit and communicative. Is a sporty person, and quite arrogant, maybe also a little Tsundere side. Is a hopeless hideaway romantic. Even though she likes to do her makeup, she doesn't like taking fifteen years to do it and does the minimum required. Of course has a more feminine side when she's out of school, but honestly, feminine clothes are never practical for big movements. Act confidently but not too deep down. Her voice is happy and dynamic. Is one or two centimeters smaller than her male double. Likes to wear necklaces and chokers. Rather skinny but not as much as Ruggie.
Deuce: So sweet and so want to do her best to make her mom proud of her. Wearing long hair tied in a low ponytail, her voice is high-pitched and strong. Is quite tall (even taller than her male double). Read romance books on the sly but can't help herself when someone finds out. Probably already dyed his hair blonde during his delinquent period and dyed it before entering Night Raven College. Likes to wear barrettes in her hair, also does her best with her makeup but was not used to it before (it was mainly Ace who taught her everything she knows). Secretly loves wearing skirts and dresses, she hasn't been able to experience it before because she didn't think it would look pretty on her (But she's actually pretty). Certainly be shy and insecure when she finds new people, afraid of doing things badly. Blushes so easily that it is funny. When his delinquent side resurfaces, his voice becomes more serious, threatening, his posture leaves no room for shyness! She might want to change for the better, but that doesn't mean she's going to let others do if they want to bully her!
Jack: Do you see Jasper in the Steven Universe? You now have Jack as a woman. She is muscular and strong! The part she's most proud of is her muscular back! His silvery hair his savage and remained indomitable (But that gives him a crazy charm). Don't take shit from people and still is a Tsundere. But her wagging tail always betrayed her about her emotions, as well as her ears. Same size as her male double. Secretly loves cute things and certainly has an army of adorable stuffed animals in her room in Savanaclaw. Wears a biker style, and because she lives in a cold region with her family, she doesn't get cold easily, so her muscular arms are uncovered all the time (for your viewing pleasure 😏). Her voice is serious, so serious! But if you're friends, you definitely hear that thoughtful little note in her voice. If his male version is the Best Boy, his female version is the Best Girl! She takes care of those she loves and is always ready to help!
Floyd: Is exactly the same size as his male double. Wear her hair short cut in a boyish style (she doesn't have the time or the energy to dwell on her hair). Her voice has high notes, especially when she finds something or someone cute! Very expressive, has no filter. Like her sister, she is muscular and graceful. Her dress style could be similar to those of men in the 40's (she much prefers masculine clothes because it is more comfortable and she doesn't have to worry about her chest with large shirts. does not have to wear a bra!). Love accessories like earrings or piercings. Has immense strength and doesn't always control it. Dislikes makeup, she doesn't want to bother with it (but finds it charming on others, that's just her personal opinion). If its male version is not to be upset, it also works with its female version! Especially when it is at this time of the month, run away poor fools!
Epel: The same problem as with its male version! Except that instead of being manly, she wants us to find her sexy and not cute! All her life in her hometown has not to stop telling her that she was cute! Really ? Was she nothing else ?! She wants people she finds attractive to find her sexy, not cute! Just because she is petite, because she has big, innocent eyes and a round, youthful face, doesn't mean it's her definition of beauty or femininity! Much like her appearance, her voice is cute, slender. Her hair is long, wavy and held up with a red ribbon in an elegant manner. Compare to her male version, Vil lets her speak with her accent because it is one of her charm assets. Her face is decorated with delicate freckles. Is quite skinny with a tiny bit of shape but not a lot (let's say she has a lot more than Riddle). Epel is a little smaller than the male Epel, but not much.
Silver: She is the equivalent of Disney Princess Aurora. Except that, unlike, even if she falls asleep anywhere, she doesn't need a knight to protect her, she is her own knight! Remain a formidable swordsman! In spite of everything, remains someone calm and taciturn, very easygoing. She is very fond of animals and as they naturally flock to her, she is very happy about this fact. Wear her hair up to the shoulders and tie it in a ponytail for practice. She has a fairly toned body, but not too much. Her voice is soft and measured. She is much smaller than her male double.
Sebek: Acts hard but is so soft in the end. Looks pissed off all the time but that's just her natural expression. Wears her hair like her male version, and is the same size. Her voice carries so far, it's very impressive the first time you hear her! It is a bit sharp, but not in an unpleasant way. Carries so much esteem and respect towards Malleus, she would also like so much to be like her but she would never dare to compare herself to her! Blushes so hard and so quickly if you press the right buttons, it's so funny to see her get annoyed! Her figure is quite toned and sporty.
And finally, My MC /OC /YUU: Just like his female version, he wears round glasses, is always 150cm tall and has long wavy hair. Has fairly broad shoulders and is slightly muscular without really being so. Does everything possible to make girls feel comfortable and safe in his presence! He knows how exhausting the life and daily life of women is because of societal pressures and the male gaze. He knows that because of assholes, women are afraid of men and are afraid to even be in the same room as them, so he will do his best to ensure that she never feels that way around him! And if someone has the audacity to make one of them feel these feelings, oh boy ... that person won't last long! He was raised by his mother alone, and she taught him respect, consent and righteous values. He is an ally, so rest assured 😊😉. His voice is soft and serious (Also watching him get angry and argued in French is quite impressive! The sound of Rs in his mouth sounds even more aggressive).

Savanaclaw Main Story Review
Welcome to the second twisted wonderland story review, or should I say analysis? A little bit of both! Today we will be focusing on Chapter 2 of the main story AKA Savanaclaw. This will once again focus on the character moments, as I believe Savanaclaw was one of the weaker stories in terms of plot. If you’re interested in why, you can read my final thoughts after this whole review! Of course warning for spoilers.
Jack Howl
The 1st year that I affectionately refer to as Yana Toboso’s werewolf OC. Jack is actually a character the writing team has concocted from their own brains rather than being based off any of the animals in the Lion King. That doesn’t mean he’s any lesser for that!
Jack is actually the biggest model when it comes to Savanaclaw’s values and perhaps the only one who strictly upholds them even when his dorm is facing difficulties. His character is actually something familiar you see in joseimuke games, the student who values strength above cunning. Typically this means that said student ends up just a little stupid, and Jack doesn’t lack in this department either. But no one ever said the first years were appealing because they’re the smartest of the bunch.
He is somewhat of a sub antagonist, cryptic about his intentions and even triggering a fight with the protagonist, as well as Ace and Deuce. But as the story progresses you begin to see that he’s one of the few genuine people who mean no harm at NRC. Jack is presented as someone who while being a little bit of a dunce at times, is extremely bright and does not compromise his morals for any reason.
One could view him as a bit of the “ideal,” when positioned against Leona and Ruggie, who don’t hesitate to employ underhanded tactics in the story. He’s honest, open about his emotions, and a reliable person. Unfortunately, being a first year means he doesn’t have much in the way of personal backstory, the most we know about him being that the dorm head of Pomefiore has a soft spot for him due to them previously being neighbors.
Ruggie Bucchi
A liar, a cheat, a conniving bastard Ruggie Bucchi is. But that doesn’t mean he isn’t doing all of those things without a reason. Ruggie is arguably the most complex in Savanaclaw, due to his weasly nature. He is the main perpetrator behind the “incidents,” taking place that cause key members to be taken out of commission before the magift tournament starts. But before getting into why he would do such a thing, let’s take a look at his past.
Ruggie was a street kid that grew up in the slums of his town. This meant he couldn’t get by in life unless he played dirty and greedily. Despite attending NRC, that is the only way of life he knows. Even though he is in a much more comfortable position, the game goes so far as to describe him as a glutton. Obviously Ruggie just can’t kick his survival instincts, and it even shows with how he utilizes his magic.
Ruggie’s unique magic, “laugh with me” plays a central part to the story and brings together the character I described above. While not particularly severe, he does put several people in the infirmary with it. People that for all intents and purposes have done nothing to him personally, all because Leona ordered him to. It was rather clear that Ruggie had ample time to say no as well, so why exactly would he engage in something he doesn’t necessarily have a stake in?
It’s because Leona ordered him to do it, and Ruggie cares about Leona. That’s it. The lynchpin holding Ruggie’s character together is that Leona and Ruggie care about each other to a startling degree. To the point that Ruggie is willing to do things that are quite obviously morally wrong because they have a strong bond. If you catch yourself thinking otherwise, I’d like to touch on a small tidbit regarding Ruggie’s uniform. It’s actually a hand me down from Leona, one which he could’ve easily rejected. If Ruggie didn’t like and respect him in some capacity, why would he wear Leona’s old uniform? Exactly.
Leona Kingscholar
The main antagonist of this whole story. It’s the sleepy, tired, yawning, tired, and most of all sleepy, Leona! If you didn’t catch all the adjectives I used, one of Leona’s main traits is that he likes to sleep. And while one may think he’d be more proactive in the story, he actually spends a lot of it sleeping. While passed off as something quirky at first, each episode begins to reveal more and more that it’s a symptom of the problem with Savanaclaw, and with Leona personally.
Leona’s main drive for the underhanded tactics he had Ruggie perform as well as his sleepy behavior is that he doesn’t view putting in effort as something worth doing. For why, it requires dipping into his backstory.
Leona is just the heir to the throne in his home country, but he’s the “second inferior” son. His brother is actually the one who's next in line, and thus Leona’s efforts were never exactly recognized. It’s pretty clear that Leona fell into a deep depression that carried over into NRC because of this. It’s evident just by his age, he’s 20 years old and has yet to graduate despite being around 2 years older than the third years. Why should he bother to graduate if no one expects anything of him? Yet despite that, Leona still yearns to be on top and be recognized in some fashion. Clashing with his lethargic behavior, so what exactly does he do to deal with his contradictory feelings in this story? Well, besides going to bed.
He has Ruggie do things for him! Remember, the entire premise of this story is that Savanaclaw was a dorm that focused on physical strength and thus displayed that via the Magift tournaments. However, Diasomnia, more specifically Malleus has continuously beat them and thus caused them to finish second place every single time. Leona’s desire to win as well as his innate resentment for people who are naturally talented and praised causes him to employ slimy tactics to fix this. Yet he has the unmitigated gall to have his vice dorm head do things for him instead of having the balls to do it himself.
So with that in mind, you must really think that Ruggie’s care for Leona is one-sided, but this idea actually leads into his overblot. Leona DOES care about Ruggie, to such a high degree that one of the main reasons for his overblot was not just that his plan was foiled. It was the fact Ruggie was disappointed in him. Remember until now Ruggie has gone along with everything Leona’s said and done, respecting him immensely despite the fact he hasn’t exactly been a model dorm head. Yet when Leona is ready to give up and one of the few people he truly cares about begins to lose trust in him, he snaps.
Final Thoughts
While Savanaclaw’s story had a wealth of character details and really let us know what the dorm was all about. It did struggle very heavily in letting us know if anything particularly changed in their characterization, as well as the plot kind of not being as complex as Heartslaybuls. A few chapters felt like padding to keep us from solving the main conflict too fast, and the lack of characters meant that a lot of interactions were once again self contained.
This makes Savanaclaw a very strong character story, but a very weak plot based one. But obviously with so many dorms, there are going to be some plots that are hit or miss. So it doesn’t exactly take away from how genuinely enjoyable Savanaclaw’s chapter was.

The Best Things Happen While You’re Dancing | Jamil Viper
Pairing: Jamil x OC
Words: 1976
Rating: G - General
you can also read it on AO3!
Boisterous music filled the air in the gymnasium and reverberated off the walls. A distinct beat and record scratch caught Adele’s ear as she entered through the large, heavy doors. The familiar plastic smell of sports equipment and sweat welcomed her like an awkward acquaintance.
“Hip hop?” Grim seemed to scrunch up his little nose in question from his perch on her shoulder as they neared the court.
“Maybe a warmup?” Adele shared thoughtfully as she spotted the basketball club towards the middle of the floor. Though…they didn’t look like they were playing their sport.
Jamil’s body popped on beat in a hypnotic, almost robotic fashion before he stopped, wiped the sweat from his brow and motioned for Ace and Floyd. “So, if you just trust yourself and plant your feet, you won’t fall.”
All 6 feet and 2 inches of Floyd attempted to follow Jamil’s instructions, his body missing the timing just so. He landed, popping and locking his body the way Jamil showed him, but only laughed as he started to stumble. Ace stood by and continued to watch as he chugged from a water bottle. His eyes drifted across the empty gymnasium until he spotted Adele.
“Oi, space case!” Ace called her over. She waved and began her approach. “What’re you doing here?”
Adele blinked once and then twice before she remembered the book she clutched to her chest. Extending her arm, she offered it. “You left your textbook at Ramshackle.”
“Oh shit,” Ace took it from her and sighed with relief. “I actually need this for next period, thanks. Trein would’ve totally chewed me out.”
“Rainbowfish!” Floyd called, running full speed towards the two and shoving Ace to the side in his pursuit. Grim got out of dodge as fast as he could, the flames of his ears rising as he all but hissed at the sudden intrusion. Grim quickly climbed to the top of a stack of workout mats and curled up, muttered in annoyance.
Slick with sweat, Floyd wrapped both arms around Adele and brought her to his chest. She grimaced at the feeling of sweat through the fabric of her blouse and the twang of the stink of teenage boy engulfing her.
“Please, Floyd,” a light laugh left her lips, “you’re drenched!”
“Aww, c’mon~!” Floyd whined. He started to sway them both back and forth. Ace simply laughed at her, showing no signs of helping.
“Gross,” Jamil sighed. At least he was bothering her instead of him for the moment.
Waving him off, Floyd rested his chin atop her dark hair. “Sea Snake is teaching us how to dance like him today!”
“Oh, that’s wonderful!” Adele beamed at the Scarabia vice dorm head from under Floyd’s chin. “I had no idea you were such a great dancer, Jamil!”
“Yes well.” Heat tinted Jamil’s cheeks and ears. “We can’t break dance or play basketball if you’re holding onto Adele, Floyd. I guess we’re done for today.”
“You’re no fun.” Floyd huffed and spun Adele out of his arms. Dizzily, she stumbled into Ace, who righted her with a light slap on her back.
“Say, Rainbowfish,” Floyd turned his intense gaze on her once more. “You’re a good dancer too, why don’t you show us that dance that you were trying to teach me the other day at the lounge?”
Adele’s eyebrows knitted together in remembrance before the thought came back. “Oh, well, I don’t exactly have any tap shoes, Floyd, I can’t-,”
“No, no, the other one!” Floyd waved her on, bordering irritation that she was being so dense.
“Well, I’d need a partner.”
“Okay so take Sea Snake,” Floyd pushed the shorter teen towards her. He stumbled forward with a harsh look in his eyes.
“What?” Jamil looked back at him and shook his head. “I don’t know what dance she’s talking about and -,”
“C’mon, Sea Snake, it’ll be fun!” Floyd whined.
Adele offered Jamil a smile and her hand. “Come to think of it, I haven’t had a good partner in ages.”
“Besides, it’s something Kalim can’t do.” Ace’s knowing smirk kicked Jamil’s pride.
Kalim could dance, sure, but the merchant’s prodigal son’s knowledge didn’t extend far. This would be another addition to the myriad skills Jamil possessed that surpass Kalim’s. So, with a smirk of his own Jamil agreed. In one swift movement, he gently took Adele’s outstretched hand and his spot on the gym-turned-dancefloor.
“You’ll need to stay on the balls of your feet,” Adele explained, gently counting as she began to move. She counted her tah-ri-ple steps in time as the balls of her feet squeaked against the polished grain of the gym floor.
Step by slow step Jamil followed Adele’s directions, noting the way she twisted and turned. Her skirt flounced and lifted as she spun, drawing his eye to the slope of her long legs as she showed him a particular move.
“Jamil?” Her soft voice brought him out of his reverie to lock eyes with her. The slight chill of embarrassment twinged his gut as he waved her away. She nodded with a gentle smile and began to move again, counting her steps lightly. Mentally checking himself, Jamil’s eyes darted back to the movement of her feet.
After a quick water break and a refresher, Ace found a song with similar enough cadence and rhythm to the ones from Adele’s world. Adele’s heart constricted in her chest at the memory of all the songs she would possibly never hear again.
“Alright, you’ve got the moves and the music, let’s go!” Floyd called from the sidelines, shaking her from her trance. Jamil stood in front of her, his face unreadable as he went over the steps in his head.
“Don’t think too much about it, just feel the music,” She offers as they joined hands and the music started. Using her weight as leverage, he leaned back and they both began to move their feet this way and that in time to the upbeat tune playing from Ace’s speakers.
It was awkward and slow at first, Jamil being so used to the heavy weight in his heels required to move his body the way he normally did, but soon he could see how Adele had been right. The music spurred his movements on, suddenly feeling light on his feet as they came up to tempo.
Once he was comfortable enough to trust his feet not to get away from him, Jamil spared a glance at his dance partner. A smile graced her features as she lolled her head back and relished in the music. Her usual headband had fallen from its perch, forgotten somewhere on the ground around them. Jamil watched as she kicked her legs on time and twisted to the beat. A carefree laugh ripped from Adele’s throat, a raucous, extremely teenaged sound that was foreign to Jamil and their audience. It was as if she had been born to dance like this.
Suddenly her head snapped back up, her violet eyes glittering with mirth, “Do you want to try a spin now?” She asked.
Jamil nodded as if compelled by the eager flush on her face. However ready Jamil thought he was, it took him by surprise as she gently pulled him in closer by their conjoined hands and spun him around. A deep red flush dusted his cheeks, and a shiver ran up his spin as her hands ghosted the ridges of his shoulder blades.
Carmine eyes met lavender as she twirled around him. Weaving in and out of his arms, leaving him hot and cold with her touch, Adele conducted magic in time with the downbeat. His skin tingled where her featherlight fingertips grazed him and he very quickly decided that partner dancing was something he could get used to.
Lost in their own little world, the dance continued until the song ended. Both panting from exertion, Adele and Jamil never broke eye contact. They both began at the same time, speaking over one another.
“That was-,”
“That was incredible!” Adele gushed, grabbing the sides of her skirt and pulling it up as she recreated a movement. “When you did this with your feet, that was amazing, Jamil! I didn’t teach you that!”
“Well, I just…felt the music.” He shrugged, trying to avoid her adoring gaze.
“I’ve never had a dance partner like you before!” Adele beamed at him and Jamil stood up a bit straighter at the compliment.
“Thank you. It was fun.” He offered and risked meeting her eyes. Once again, he was captivated by the life inside that was never apparent until now. Curiosity and tenderness, though he’d never admit it, lead his gaze to linger longer than was appropriate.
“Gross, break it up.” Ace came up, throwing towels at each of them to wipe the sweat quickly cooling from their brows. He offered Adele her headband with an incredulous expression. She had never looked at Deuce or him like that, and they were her best friends!
What gives? Ace thinks in annoyance.
“So, it goes like this?” Floyd caught Adele’s attention from Ace and tried to mimic her previous movements. She nodded along in time to his feet with a smile.
“You’re doing great,” She encouraged him while clapping along. “Would you care to be my partner next time, Floyd?”
“Why wait?” Floyd moved to scoop her off of her feet, but Ace had the tail of his shirt in a vice grip, stopping the older teen just short of reaching her.
“C’mon, we gotta cleanup so we can get to class on time.” Ace spoke with a sour tone.
“There’s always next time, Floyd!” Adele assured him. Ace tsked and tossed another towel her way, covering her head.
“Go take a shower before you stink up your potions class!” He stuck his tongue out at her and she laughed as she removed the towel, and the world came back into view.
“Alright, alright, I’m going.” She shook her head good-naturedly. Ace headed towards the locker room with Floyd bounding after him after shooting her a toothy smile and a wave, leaving her alone with Jamil.
Before she could leave, Jamil spoke up.
“Thank you for teaching me today.” His voice was even as he spoke. If she hadn’t just been dancing with him, Adele wouldn’t have believed he had just exerted any effort at all. A small smile graced his lips, lighting up his face. “It was nice learning something new.”
“You really like to dance, don’t you?” She asked fondly.
Jamil hadn’t thought too much of the reason, but somewhere along his childhood, dancing had become his release. Frustration at his position, anger at Kalim, and everything in between could be solved by moving his body in time to the beat of some song on the radio. The feeling of his muscles straining under him as he pushed himself to the limit every time kept him coming back like an addict.
As his eyes drifted over her face, he took in her dark bangs matted to her face with sweat, her lips parted just so with the rise and fall of her chest as she worked on regulating her breathing. The image burned itself onto his eyes and he blinked a couple of times to shake himself free.
“Yeah.” He replied lamely.
“I do too,” She beamed at him. “You know, a famous author from my world once wrote, ‘To be fond of dancing was a certain step towards falling in love.’”
Jamil’s heart thudded so loudly in his chest that he worried she’d be able to hear it as she scooped up the sleeping Grim and said her goodbyes. He groaned and brought the heels of his palms to his eyes. He rubbed profusely and sighed. This was just another feeling he would have to sort out through his usual, rhythmic coping mechanism.

"Two Girls Waltzing"
The ball was illuminated by candles which made the ballroom glow golden as the guests wore beautiful gowns and grooming suits, classical music plays and couples dancing around. But not everyone has a partner to dance with-
"Nyehe~!!! More food for us!!" Grim cheered as he shoves sushi from the buffet table in his mouth. "Grim no, stop being such a glutton! Youre getting us in trouble!" Evelyn demanded and picks up Grim and one big plate of sushi from the table. "Here, just dont make a mess on the buffet table, if you hide underneath the table, then you wouldn't get in trouble" she instructed and puts Grim and the big plate of sushi underneath the buffet table.
"Mmrg! Why arent ya eating? Its a buffet!" Grim asked and pops another sushi in his mouth. "Ehh, I'm not hungry, besides this area is a safe place for me not to feel out of place" Evelyn answered and properly sat down on the floor and eats a piece of sushi.
"Whatcha doin underneath the table, Evelyn?"
Evelyn flinched and accidentally bumped her head underneath the table. "Ow!" She yelped and got out of the table, rubbing her head. "You okay?" The female voice asked. Evelyn looked up to see a short pink haired girl with blue eyes, wearing a blue and white cocktail dress, leaning on the buffet table with a smile.
"O-oh am fine Allison! Just bumped my head because I was oh so surprised that you called me" Evelyn awkwardly laughed. "Where's your partner?" She asked and looked around left and right. "Oh, he's not here yet so he might be late;;" Evelyn explained.
"Bummer, same goes to me, Ace is probs going to be late with Deuce. I planned to spice the ball up without him but I don't want Evonie to go after my neck" the girl joked. "Dang, so its just the two of us girls who don't have a partner tonight" Evelyn exclaimed and sighs.
Then she felt someone lifted her hand.

"I'll be your partner for tonight's ball, I played multiple male roles so I know my moves~, I'll make sure to outman every man in the ballroom" Allison winked at the blonde girl who blushed from her flirty gesture. "Well~ if you say so.... I accept your offer!" Evelyn giggled, takes Allison's hand and hooks her arm around hers. "Now lets go! We're going to look like the cutest couple for tonight~!" Allison cheered and dragged Evelyn to the dance floor.
While the two ladies danced around the ballroom, two of their partners had arrived late at the ball. "Aw man, cant believe those savanaclaw guys got us in trouble!" Ace groaned and rubs his nape from frustration. "I hope we didnt keep the girls waiting" Deuce muttered and looks around for Evelyn.
"Hey isnt that..." Ace spoke and squints at the two familiar girls dancing around the ballroom energetically while the crowd around them cheers.
"Told ya we're gonna be the cutest couple for tonight!" Allison chimed and twirls Evelyn around and dips her. "Nice move there" the blonde girl grinned. Ace and Deuce had a disappointed look when Allison gave them a smug look.
"Goddammit Allison!"
================
"Dance with Nostalgia"
"Finally some fresh air"
Evelyn sighed as she sat on the ledge of the balcony, relieving herself from the noise of the ball from inside. She looked up to the starry sky and then looked at the bright full moon until a familiar face popped infront of her face.
"Hello!"
"GAH!"
She yelped and nearly fall back by a petite man floating upside down infront of her. "Lilia-senpai! What brings you here?" She asked fixed her composure. 'Damn I nearly fall on my butt there' she sighed in relief. Lilia landed down to the balcony ledge on his own two feet and bowed. "Forgive me young lady, you seem to be too deep in your thoughts that I cannot resist surprising you like the usual, you look like a deer looking at the headlights" Lilia teased and chuckled. Evelyn pouted and was about to retort back.
"May I have this dance young lady?" Lilia asked and reaches out his hand to Evelyn. Evelyn hesitantly nodded and took his hand then the petite man pulled her up to stand on the balcony ledge with him. "Woah.." Evelyn muttered and goes wide eyed from the height of the balcony. "A-are we literally going to dance near this very edge?!" She asked, getting nervous over the height.
"Well its much more aesthetically pleasing to dance around here yknow? Dont worry I wont let you fall" Lilia gave a wink at Evelyn and started to guide her to waltz ontop of the ledge. 'Ohgodohgodohgod' Evelyn internally panics while dancing with Lilia. 'THIS IS A DANGEROUS PLACE TO DANCE ON!!' she shouted inside her head until she hears a Lilia humming a familiar song.
Lilia kept humming until Evelyn stopped tensing, slowly becoming entrance by the familiar song and got hit by nostalgia. The pair managed to waltz gracefully with no fear of falling until Lilia helped Evelyn go off of the ledge to the balcony after several minutes.
"See? That isn't so bad when you trust your partner" Lilia chuckled. "Mm..." she nodded and looked down. "What's wrong young lady?" Lilia asked as he hopped off of the ledge to the balcony. "That song gave me some deja vu...like it reminded me off...." she dragged off what she's going to say. "Your home?" Lilia guessed and tilted his head to the side.
"Yes, I may not remember what my home looks like, but somehow, I can feel it and I'm af-" Evelyn got cut off when she felt someone place a hand on her head. "Now don't fret too much young one. Your memories will come back soon enough, you may not know where you came from, but you know where you are now so why not focus on that, yes?" Lilia spoke and give a comforting smile.
Evelyn sighed and smiled a bit.
"Right!"

Read All About It - An Ace/OC fanfic - Chapter 6
Strolling hand in hand down the streets of Fishman Island made it almost feel as if they were a normal couple, not a pirate captain and a Revolutionary.
“So, my partner gave me a good nickname.”
“Better than missus?” Ace teased.
She rolled her eyes. “Yes. He called me the Revolutionary Spade. Really the Red-haired Revolutionary Spade, but that’s a bit much.”
“Eh, too long for a bounty poster. Revolutionary Spade is better.”
Ashina shot him a playful glare. “I’m still trying to not obtain one of those.”
“Sorry, missus,” he teased, gently bumping her shoulder. “with me you’ll end up with one in no time. Just wait ‘til Isuka knows your name: Ashina the Revolutionary Spade.”
“Ugh, at least with Missus they don’t know my real name.”
Ace laughed and let go of her hand, only to loop his arm over her shoulders and pull her closer. “I’m hungry,” he said, catching the smell of food in the air. “Let’s get some food.”
When he spotted the ramen shop, he remembered it being one of her favorite foods, so he dragged her inside with him. The menu was small, but the place smelled amazing.
They ordered and true to her normal self, Ashina only ate one bowl. It was a large bowl, but still, Ace wondered if she ate enough sometimes.
“Are you sure you’re full?” he asked, swallowing a mouthful of noodles and meat.
She giggled. “Yes, Ace. Are you? That’s your eighth bowl.”
“Almost.”
Ashina giggled again, propping her head up on her fist, elbow resting on the bartop. “You really are a bottomless pit.”
As soon as he was finished Ace grabbed her hand and strolled out of the restaurant.
“Ace, what are you-”
They made it a few paces down the street with the store owner shouted.
“Stop them! They haven’t paid.”
“Come on!” Ace shouted, breaking out in a run.
Ashina kept pace with him, grumbling at him for his dine and dash antics. By the time they outran the people chasing them, and were officially lost someone on the island, she was laughing. They came to a stop and Ashina bent over, hands on her knees, as she tried to catch her breath between laughter.
“What the hell, Ace, I could have paid.”
“Sorry, it’s a bit of a habit.”
She rolled her eyes as he shrugged. Ashina looked around as she stood straight. “Why don’t we find our way back to the market and then to the ship. The log pose should be set soon.”
Ace grinned. “Let’s go.”
It was easy to find their way back to the heart of the city by the noise of the crowd. Ace stayed close to her as they weaved their way through fishmen, merfolk, and other humans. His hand occasionally touched the small of her back, directing her one way or another since he could see over the crowd better than her.
“Thanks to you and all that running, now I want a snack,” she commented.
“You should have eaten more ramen.”
“I was full then!”
Ace just laughed, but his eyes scanned the streets around them. He pointed to the left and grinned. “There’s a takoyaki stand over there.”
“Oo!” she squealed with excitement and took his hand, dragging him behind her through the crowd. “Hurry up, Ace.”
They reached the stand and Ashina looked over the selection. “I’ll take one regular and one spicy, please.”
The fishman behind the stand expertly flipped four of the regular little balls into a cup and handed it to her before doing to the same from the pile of spicy takoyaki. Ashina handed Ace the spicy one and then dug out the requested amount of beri from her pouch. Once she paid, she looped her free arm through his and they started walking again.
She dropped his arm once they were clear of the crowd, and popped one of the little balls into her mouth. She hummed in satisfaction. “That’s yummy. Ramen and takoyaki, we’re going to make our way back to Fishman Island one day, just for the food. By the way, you never did say what the fight with Draw was about.”
Ace scratched the back of his head, ruffling his hair. “Oh, well… uh… he offered me a position as a Shichibukai, and I said no.”
“He did what?” Ashina stopped walking and stared at Ace with wide, surprised eyes. “Wait, you said no?”
“The Shichibukai work for the World Government, and I don’t want to answer to them. I’m a pirate, not a marine’s dog.” Ace looped his arm back around her waist and pulled her closer. “Come on,” he said, starting to walk again.
Ashina smiled as she fell into step with his pace. “They won’t like that you turned down their offer.”
“Draw didn’t. He did say he doesn’t like the idea of the Shichibukai either, but he got mad I rejected the offer. He set fire to some buildings and risked some people’s lives just to push my buttons. He pissed me off, and we started fighting.”
Ashina grinned as they reached the ship. “Your bounty is going to increase because of that, you know that, right?”
“That’s a good thing.” He gave her a big grin making Ashina laugh.
“Let’s go, Fire Fist.”
.
.
.
“So, Captain, where are we headed now?” Saber asked as the rest of the crew gathered on the deck of the Spadille.
The question caught Ashina’s attention and she looked up from the book in her hand. Ace grinned at the crew. “I’m going to find the man who saved my brother’s life when he was a little kid. Luffy used to talk all the time about Red-haired Shanks, so I’m going to find him and thank him.”
Ashina felt the blood drain from her face. Ace had never asked about her parents, and she’d never volunteered the information. In all of their late-night conversations, after the moments that shared Ace’s admittance that Gol D Roger was his father, they didn’t talk about it. Ace knew he mother was gone and that he father was somewhere out in the world, but… now it felt like she was going to have to come clean.
“Rumor I heard in the market is that he’s on a winter island,” Saber said.
Ace nodded. “We’ll go there first and see where the journey takes us. When I finally encounter Whitebeard, I’ll prove I’m going to be King of the Pirates.”
“Um… Ace,” Ashina began, getting to her feet. “I feel like now might be a good time to mention something.”
“What?” he asked, clearly confused. “I know you don’t like the cold, but-”
She cut him off with a dismissive wave of her hand and blurted, “Red-haired Shanks is my father.”
Deuce and Saber’s eyes practically popped out of their heads and Banshee gave an unlady-like curse. Mihar and Skull shared a chuckle. Ace stared at her.
“What?” Ace managed to stammer out.
“Red-haired Shanks is my father,” she repeated.
“Oh. Well…” He looked unsure of what to say next as he shuffled his feet.
“It’s okay!” Ashina blurted reassuringly. Ace, I love my Papa. He’ll be surprised to see me I’m sure, since the last time he saw me he was leaving me on the doorstep of the Revolutionary Army. It’s been five years, I’d like to see him.”
Ace beamed and pulled her in for a hug, keeping an arm around her waist and close to his side as he turned to face the crew. “Set sail, men!”
Ace gave orders as Ashina stood beside him and the crew scurried around the deck as they set sail out from Fishman Island, preparing to enter the New World. Her first adventure on the second half of the Grand Line and she was going to see her father.
“Hey, Ace?”
“Huh?” He stopped giving orders and looked down at her.
“It might be a good idea to notlet my father know we’re a thing. I’d hate for him to kill you.”
Ace frowned, but nodded, agreeing to her suggestion.
“How’re we going to find him? Which island do we travel to?” Deuce asked, stopping beside them.
“Oh!” Ashina exclaimed, slipping a hand into her pouch. “I have the solution for that.” She withdrew the slip of blank paper. “I have his vivre card.”
.
.
.
“Can you use your Haki to tell where they are?” Ace asked.
He was standing close behind her, keeping her warm with his internal fire. “I could, but the vivre card will lead us to him.”
She shivered and Ace pulled her closer, keeping an arm wrapped around her front. It wasn’t snowing right now, but the cold, biting wind was relentless. “Let’s get moving then.”
It wasn’t long into their trek that the snow began. The further into the snowy mountains they walked, the harder the wind blew and the more snow fell.
“The snow storm is getting worse. Even with your extra heat,” Mihar commented.
“We’ll keep going until we find them.”
“Are you serious, Captain?” Saber yelled.
“I want to meet him. We keep going no matter what.”
Ashina just shook her head, trudging through the freezing snow behind Ace. Being near him was slightly warmer than the surrounding temperature, but that would end as soon as they reached her father. She didn’t want to give him any ideas that Ace and her were in fact lovers, mainly because she preferred her lover alive. It was late as they neared the cave opening and the sound of voices and smell of wood smoke reached them.
She already dreaded the idea of having to sleep through the night not curled up to Ace. Ashina fell back into the mix of the crew as they reached the mouth of the cave, suddenly nervous to see her father again. Deuce picked up on her actions, and stepped to the left, effectively blocking her from view.
“Who goes there?” One of the Red-Haired Pirates yelled out, Ashina recognized Yassop’s voice.
“I’m Captain Portgas D Ace of the Spade Pirates.”
“So,” a voice Ashina instantly recognized as her father’s answered. “The Spade Pirates? The famous Super Rookies… have come for me?” The slick of his sword being partially withdrawn echoed in the quiet cave.
“No, no that’s not what I’m here for,” Ace said quickly, shaking his hands in front of him. “My little brother owes you his life and he never stopped talking about you growing up! I just wanted to meet you and say thanks.”
“You mean Luffy?” Shanks replied excitedly, letting his sword fall back into its sheath. “I never knew he had a brother! I see. I’m glad you came. Please tell me more.”
“Oh, sure,” Ace hesitated and looked behind him, eyes scanning his crew, before he turned back to the Yonko. “but I brought another surprise.”
Ace turned sideways, looking back at Ashina, who was still partially hidden by Deuce, and she took a breath before stepping forward. Shanks took her in and his eyes widened as his smile grew bigger.
“Hi, Papa.” She gave him a small smile and a little wave.
“My baby girl!” Shanks jumped up.
“She ain’t a baby no more,” one of the men near the back of the cave said, earning a glare from Shanks before he turned his attention back to Ashina.
Shanks swept her up with his one arm, easily lifting her off her feet. All the worry and nerves left her instantly as she relaxed into the strong, loving embrace of her father. She returned the hug just as fiercely, burying her face in the collar of his shirt to inhale the familiar scent of ocean, sweat, booze, and something distinctly Shanks. She pressed a kiss to his cheek as he set her back on her feet.
“What are you doing in the New World with pirates?” he questioned, a teasing grin on his face. “I dropped you with the Revolutionary Army, not Rookie pirates.”
Ashina shrugged. “Got separated on a mission for Dragon. Orders were to stay with the Spades for now. Maybe he wants to see what’s happening on this side of the world? Who knows?” She skirted around the real truth that Dragon gave her a choice and she chose to stay with Ace… for a multitude of reasons.
Shanks seemed to accept her answer and nodded, but turned a hard gaze to Ace. “Keep an eye on my daughter, Rookie.”
Ace nodded quickly. “Yes, sir.”
Shanks grinned then and spun around to his men. “Let’s have a party!”
.
.
.
This was awful. The idea of Ashina not sleeping beside him, curled into his warmth as she did every night never crossed his mind. Every night she lay in his arms, but not this one, and he felt a fool for not understanding sooner what she meant when she said to not let her father know they were a thing. All night she avoided being near him, because when they were near, they gravitated closer and always wound up touching.
Of course, her sleeping with him would clue her father in to the truth of their relationship. A truth he wasn’t sure he wanted to face the consequences for, because there would be consequences. One arm or not, Shanks was still a powerful Yonko, and Ace wasn’t wishing to test the man’s ability.
Ace glanced across the room and spotted those green orbs in the dying light of the fire. Ashina couldn’t sleep either. They stared at each other across the cave, neither speaking for fear of waking the others. Ace watched as she silently sat up and then stood. She made no sound as she tiptoed her way gracefully around the sleeping bodies of two pirate crews, keeping her blanket hugged tight to her shoulders. She folded herself gracefully down to the ground, and he scowled at her, even as he lifted his own blanket for her to slide in beside him.
Ashina hummed softly in her throat as she pressed her back against his chest. He amped up his internal temperate and she hummed softly again. Ace pressed his lips into her hair as he slipped a hand around her waist to pull her impossibly closer.
“What happened to not letting him know we’re together?” Ace asked softly, a teasing lilt to his voice.
He felt her shrug one shoulder. “It’s cold and I can’t sleep without you.”
“Your father is going to kill me in the morning. You know that, right?” he whispered in her ear.
She turned in his embrace to face him and dipped her head below his. Her lips pressed against the hollow of his throat. “Maybe, but it will be worth the warm night of sleep.”
He could feel the smile on her lips and huffed out a breath through his nose before pressing his lips to the top of her head. He couldn’t argue with her logic and he’d use any excuse to hold her slender frame against his.
.
.
.
The morning sun was beginning to rise and fill the cave with light when Shanks woke up. It took him a moment to remember it was real, but he quickly turned his head to look at his daughter. She was no longer on the mat she had fallen asleep on, and he frowned. He scanned the cave, scowling when he spotted her red hair.
“What you make o’ that, Captain?” Benn spoke quietly from beside him, already awake.
Shanks’ frown deepened as he studied the pair. They were lying facing each other and the curve and ripple of the blanket made it obvious the Rookies’ arm was curled tight around her waist, holding her close to his chest. His other arm pillowed her head. Her red hair was wild around them and the boy’s nose was buried in the wavy locks.
“I don’t like it, whatever it is.”
“You left her alone at fourteen with the Revolutionaries. Had to of known she’d grown up.”
Shanks sighed, unable to take his eyes away from his little girl, who was clearly no longer a little girl. “She’s growing up too soon. It shouldn’t be time for her to be doing…” he waved his hand at the sleeping pair. “things with boys.”
“Ace isn’t a boy, and she’s not a little girl anymore, Boss. At least she found a strong man.”
Shanks glared at Benn. “He’s still a Rookie… and I don’t have to like him, especially seeing as his hands are on my daughter… but he … he looks familiar,” Shanks trailed off, studying the sleeping Rookie.
“How so?”
Shanks shook his head. “What are the chances though?”
“Of what, Boss?” Benn asked, not following his captain’s random train of thought.
“I think he’s Roger’s kid,” Shanks breathed out.
Shanks stared hard at the dark mop of hair. It was dark and wavy like his former Captain’s had been. He’d caught glimpses of Roger’s ghost in Ace’s smile and eyes in firelight of the party. He’d also noticed the shared glances between him and Ashina. Shanks should have known they’d be together. He tried not to think too much on how they passed their time, he was more worried about her future. Being a pirate was dangerous, and the Rookie had big dreams. Ashina was smart, and strong, but a father worried for his daughter.
His only child. He knew she would remain secret no longer. Her secrecy was his only request to Dragon when he left her with the Revolutionary Army five years ago. Keep her secret, she’s already a skilled kunoichi like her mother, train her to be stronger, stealthier, help her remain unseen, unknown. With Ace, the Marines would soon learn of her, and there would be no mistaking who her father was. Shanks only hoped Ashina was ready for the dangers she would encounter here in the New World. He also hoped the young man, who he was positive was his captain’s son, would be strong enough to protect himself and her.
.
.
.
“Where’s Papa?” Ashina asked, looking around the cave in the early morning light.
“Went outside since the snow storm calmed,” Benn answered. He gave her a knowing look. “Was wanting to speak to you.”
Ashina frowned slightly but nodded. She pulled her fur cloak tighter around her shoulders and headed out of the mouth of the cave. He wasn’t far from the entrance, perched on a snow-covered boulder near one of the only, scraggly evergreen trees that stood near the cave. He looked up as she walked over, but did not speak. She hopped up onto the rock and leaned into his side. She still found it strange sometimes that he was missing his left arm. She remembered when it was still there and the year he had returned and it was gone.
“The Rookie’s Devil Fruit seems to have lessened the snow storm,” Shanks commented, breaking the silence.
“He’s strong.”
Shanks snorted. “He’s young and reckless.”
“Weren’t you young and reckless once?”
Shanks grinned at her. “You callin’ your old man old?”
Ashina giggled and shook her head. “Never, Papa.” Ashina paused and then added. “Ace is strong and he’ll only get stronger.”
“Strength is good, Ashina, but it will bring danger.”
“I’m not afraid,” she stated with confidence.
Shanks kissed the top of her head. “Of course you’re not. You’re your mother’s daughter after all. You look like her more and more each time I see you, Ashina.”
He was quiet for a moment and they both watched the softly falling snow. “I wasn’t much older than you when you were born.”
“Papa…” Ashina cut in, hoping he wasn’t going there. Her mother gave her the embarrassing sex talk, and she didn’t really want to hear her father stumble through it.
“I want you to be careful, Ashina.”
“We are careful, Papa.”
“We? So you are having sex with the Rookie?” Shanks leaned back, his eyes narrowed and his cheeks slightly red with anger.
Ashina waved a dismissive hand. “He’s not my first, Papa.”
Shanks waved his hands in front of him and shouted. “I don’t want to know this about my baby girl! Now I have two boys to murder. It is just two, yes?”
“Papa!” Ashina felt her cheeks burn from her blush. He wasn’t wrong, but she wasn’t going to admit that either.
Shanks smiled good naturedly and bumped his shoulder to hers. “Please be careful, Ashina. You have big dreams. I hope you still have those dreams. Don’t let them go because of a boy.”
“I still want to change the world, Papa, and I can still do that being a Spade pirate. But… you know, I didn’t stop your dreams.”
Shanks sighed. “I wasn’t a good father either.”
Ashina frowned and took his hand in hers. “Of course you were, you are, Papa. Just because you weren’t there all the time doesn’t mean you were a bad father. You’re a pirate Papa, I learned what that meant and how much it meant to you. A pirate drop anchor in one place? Papa you’d be bored out of your mind,” she said on a giggle, making him smile. She paused for a beat and then added softly. “I don’t plan on babies, Papa.”
“Things happen, Ashina.”
“Well, fuck, Papa don’t jinx me! Jeez. We’re careful. I’m careful. I promise.”
“Good. I want you to be happy. Doesn’t mean I don’t want to wring the Rookie’s neck for touching my daughter.”
Ashina giggled and leaned in to kiss his cheek. “I think you’re allowed to feel that way, just please don’t act on it.” She rested her head on his shoulder and he squeezed her hand.
“I love you, Papa.”
“Love you, Baby Girl.”
.
.
.
Shanks wasn’t ready to tell Ashina goodbye as they stood next to the Spadille in the late morning sun. Growing up, he’d made it happen where he could see her once a year, with the exception of a few times where it just didn’t work, for a few days. Then she’d traveled with him for a year before he dropped her with the Revolutionary Army on Baltigo. That was five years ago. She was nineteen now, a young woman in her own right, but she would always be his little girl. It worried him that he didn’t know when he’d see her again. Not to mention the lurking, deaded thought of ifand not when.
“Stay safe,” he whispered, pulling her into a hug.
Her arms wrapped tightly around his waist. “I will, Papa. You be careful.”
“Don’t worry about me, baby girl.” he said to her, keeping her held tightly to his chest. “Keep up your training, okay?”
Ashina nodded.
“Good. I won’t have to worry too much then. Until next time, baby girl.” Shanks kissed the top of her head and then let her go.
Ashina stepped back, and then lunged forward to hug her father once more before turning to board the Spadille.
“Ace, a word.”
Ace stopped in his tracks, nodding to Ashina to go ahead, and turned back to Shanks.
“I know you and my daughter are… together. Break her heart and you’re going to join the one-arm club, and if she gets hurt, or worse, I’m going to kill you, got it, Rookie?” Shanks asked Ace in a low voice giving him a deadly stare.
“Got it.”
“Good.” Shanks stepped back, clapped him on the shoulder and smiled at Ace. “Safe travels.”
“Yeah, uh, thanks. It was nice to meet you, Shanks.”
Ace turned on a dime and quickly boarded the ship.
Shanks waved goodbye to Ashina, who stood at the rail of the ship, waving back to him. Ace gave the orders for the crew to set sail, and Shanks watched as he came to stand beside Ashina, an arm looping around her waist.
Benn chuckled from beside him. “You’re maturing as you age, Captain. I half expected you to not let her go with the Rookie.”
Shanks laughed, but then sobered, eyes watching the ship was the sails unfurled and she picked up speed, carrying his daughter away from him once more. “Eh. As much as I’d like to castrate the boy for being with my daughter, I can’t hold her back. Tsuna would never forgive me for not letting our girl chase her dreams and be free.”

Read All About It - an Ace/OC fanfic
Note: slight nsfw near the end...
Chapter 3
The sun was warm on her skin as Ashina lay on the boards of the quarter deck. The blanket under her was soft and warm from the sun. She caught several crew members’ attention when she shed her silk robe, revealing the black bikini. She was pretty sure Ace had a nose bleed. She knew she wasn’t as busty as most women, but she liked her curves and her muscles were toned due to her rigorous training.
Banshee laughed as she walked up to Ashina. “Your causing quite the stir among the male population.”
Ashina giggled. “Men are just a bunch of perverts. I’m not naked. Can’t a girl get a good tan? The weather here is so crazy. Gotta soak up the warmth when I can.”
“What about you and the captain?”
“He’s just a friend.” Ashina wanted it to be more, but she didn’t dare say it aloud.
Banshee gave her a skeptical look and then grinned. “I’m going to start lunch. Any requests?”
“That grilled pineapple was delicious.”
“Sure thing, missus,” Banshee teased on a laugh. Ashina heard the crew tease Ace about having a missus. Saber and Deuce were the worst.
“I’m not,” Ashina stated, scowling. Her rebuttal fell on deaf ears and she laid back down on her blanket. She rolled over onto her stomach, folding her arms under her head. A nap would be nice, rather than think on being called Ace’s missus and the butterflies that gave her. Never mind the pooling in her stomach that made her tingle and shiver whenever she looked at him. Ashina closed her eyes, set on having an early afternoon nap before lunch.
A voice shouting woke her from her nap an unknown amount of time later. “Marines to the starboard side!”
Ashina groaned. “Well, damn. So much for a nice day.” Ace’s bounty and reputation drew them like a beacon, damn the handsome Flame Boy. Ashina sat up and looked off to the right. Fuck. It wasn’t just one or two marine ships, but a whole battalion.
Ashina hopped up and weaved her way through the men running around the deck, following Ace’s orders. She heard Deuce shout a few commands from the wheel, as she ducked inside the cabin. Her sword was laid against her trunk, and she snatched it up before strapping the small dagger to her calf. She didn’t bother putting on shoes or clothes, there was no time as the boom of cannon fire struck the water near the ship. The Spadille rocked, but Ashina kept her footing.
She threw the door back open in time to see Ace launch a fireball across the water. The blazing fury ripped through one of the ships, catching the sails on fire and turning the mast into kindling.
“Nice one Captain!” Aggie yelled.
Another cannon fired, the heavy ball landing too close to the ship for her liking. Deuce shouted something about running the ships aground on the rocky reef and the Spadille jerked to the left as Deuce changed their direction, barking orders to the few men adjusting the sails and rudder.
Mihar was busy firing off shots at the closer range ships while Ace kept throwing long distance fireballs. Ashina reached out with her observational Haki, surveying the fight around her and then turned around to face the portside.
“Well, hello there.” Ashina smirked and then gasped as she noticed the woman’s strawberry hair. “And a fellow red head.”
“Stand aside, I’m here for First Fist.”
“He’s a little busy at the moment with bigger fish. You’ll have to take me down first, sweetheart.”
The woman scowled and drew her sword. Ashina drew hers and readied herself. She would not let her pass, but she did not want to harm the young woman who appeared to be around her age. Her eyes were dark amber, warm unlike Ashina’s deep emerald eyes. The Marine woman was definitely more voluptuous than her, but she would not be the better fighter.
“What’s your name?”
Ashina grinned. “Who cares about names?”
The other woman charged at her and Ashina blocked her attack, standing her ground. She shoved the woman away and readied herself again. The Marine charged again at Ashina, engaging in a series of clashes together.
The fellow redhead was quick, Ashina would give her that, but Ashina was stronger. Using armament Haki to coat her blade Ashina took the offense and move in to deal a hard strike down. The woman flew back, landing on her backside and sliding across the deck. She jumped up to her feet.
“What is your name? Who are you?” she screeched as she got to her feet. “How can you use Haki?”
“I learned?” Ashina supplied with a grin. She loved teasing the Marines when she had the chance. They were all the same, so easy to rile up, just like the woman. “If you want to know my name so bad, how about you tell me yours first?”
“AH!” The woman screamed as she sprinted across the deck, sword poised at the ready. Ashina deflected her and then delivered a hard kick to the woman’s stomach. The blow sent her tumbling back, but she recovered quickly.
“My name is -”
The ship lurched again and the women fought to control their stable footing for a moment before meeting cold stares again.
“My name is Isuka. I’m a Marine Ensign! I demand your name.”
Ashina laughed loudly. “I don’t give a damn what you demand.”
The woman rushed forward and they traded powerful blows. Her anger made her strikes fiercer and faster, but Ashina blocked and countered each blow. The woman hissed when Ashina cut her upper arm with the tip of her blade. They clashed swords again and Ashina twisted and dipped around to land another kick. This one swiped her legs out from under her and she fell to the boards as a loud crash echoed in the air.
The cracking and creaking of wooden boards reverberated in the air and shouts and screams came from the Marine ship off in the distance. They had in fact followed Deuce and met their rocky demise, while Deuce had guided the Spadille away from the same disastrous fate.
Isuka jumped to her feet and scrambled across the deck to look out at her sinking ship and crew. Her angry eyes looked back at Ashina and cursed. “I swear I’ll get you Fire Fist and now you too. And I’ll have your face and name on a bounty poster!” She jumped off into her little boat and began to make her way across the water. The strong waves and still blasting cannons made it a difficult, if not short trek.
Ashina strolled across the deck and watched the woman rowing. Ace joined her side and Ashina could feel his eyes on her for a moment.
“You hurt?” he asked.
“No.”
“Good.”
A particularly large wave crashed upon the young Marine as the Spadille began to sail away from the Marine ships. The little boat capsized and the woman came up spurting water. She was trying to swim the rest of the way, but the ocean waves were strong.
Ace strolled over to the corner near the stairs and then came back with a life preserver. He tossed it effortlessly out into the water, landing inches from the woman. “Oi! Don’t want you to drown on my watch! Now you can’t say that the Spade Pirates never helped you out! It’s been fun, maybe we’ll see you around again in the New World!”
Ashina giggled as the woman shouted something, but the Spadille was picking up speed with the wind and they were too far away to make out her shouts.
“You’re good with that sword you know,” Ace said.
“Thank you. My mother taught me, and I practiced with my father when I could. I honed my skill with the Revolutionaries.”
“I’ve seen your skin turn black. Armament Haki. Where’d you learn that?”
Ashina shrugged. “I think I’ve always had it, but I really started to be able to control it, to coat certain parts of my body when I wanted and my weapon, a couple years ago. You have the Will of D, I’m sure you have some unawakened Haki somewhere in there, Flame Boy.”
Ashina gave him a smile and then headed off. “I’m going to go finish my sunbathing while the sun is still out. Try not to get into any more altercations with the Navy today, okay?”
Ace chuckled, watching the sway of her hips in that black bikini as she walked away. “Yeah, I’ll try.”
.
.
.
Ace reached for the warm body next to him, but touched nothing. He cracked one eye open, expecting to see Ashina just out of reach, but the space beside him was empty. Ace rolled over and looked out the porthole. The night sky was still dark and full of stars. Rolling back over, more awake now, confirmed that Ashina was not in the bed. She wasn’t in the cabin at all.
Rolling out of bed, yawning, Ace strolled in just his shorts out onto the deck. Scanning the deck, he spotted her on the starboard side, near the bow. The moonlight painted her in a soft glow, her red hair a dark ruby. She was covered by a thin silk robe that exposed her lean legs. Her feet were bare. Ace knew she was cold in the night air, and wondered why she was by herself.
“You can join me you know. It’s less creepy than standing back there staring.”
“Oi! I was not staring.” Ace said, walking towards her.
Her laughter echoed across the sea and she turned to look at him as he reached her side. “You totally were, Flame Boy.”
“What are you doing out here? It’s late. What if something happened?”
“Don’t worry about me, Ace. Besides, Mihar is in the crow’s nest.” Ashina looked out to the horizon and gazed at the stars. “I couldn’t sleep. It was peaceful out here.”
Ace held out his palm and made a small flame appear, it grew larger producing more heat. Ashina brought her own hands up and held them out to the flame. She giggled and Ace smiled, watching her warm her hands to his fire.
“You’re always cold.”
Ashina shrugged. “Only when the sun goes down, but you’re nice and toasty.”
Ace wanted to ask her what she would do when she left, but he bit his tongue. He didn’t want to ruin what little time he got with her. He enjoyed her company, the way she interacted with his friends. She was a skilled fighter and would be an asset to his crew. It was a bonus that she was beautiful and sleeping in his bed. He didn’t want her to leave.
She reached out with one hand and caught his wrist. His flame faltered and went out as she moved his arm wider. Ashina tucked herself against his side, her arms going around his torso. Her head rested against his pectoral muscle and Ace lowered his head so he could inhale the sweet scent of her thick, wavy hair. Citrus and saltwater.
“Do you think that marine woman will follow you?”
Ace shrugged, wrapping one arm around Ashina and propping the other on the rail. “She won’t be much trouble even if she does.”
“Unless she calls for reinforcements. You have quite the bounty, Fire Fist.”
Ace couldn’t help but grin, even if she couldn’t see his face. “The Pirate King should have a large bounty, right? The highest?”
Ashina giggled softy. “Of course, he should. Keep blasting Marine battleships to smithereens and you’ll get yourself to the top.”
“I’ve got to fight the best of the best pirates too.”
“The New World is tougher than the Grand Line. The Yonkos call this Paradise compared to the other side.”
“Have you been to the New World?” he asked.
“No.”
He wanted to take her. Ace wanted her to go with him. They could see it together. She could fight by his side with his crew, their crew. She’d only be his missus if she wanted that from him, even if his crew already teased him about her.
“You’ve already started to make a name for yourself, Fire Fist Ace. You’ll become a great pirate.”
She reached up on her tiptoes to kiss his jawbone. Unlike the night before, Ace caught her. One hand tightened on her lower back and the other snaked up to tangle in the hair at the base of her neck.
Her eyes met his and for a moment neither of them breathed as they stared at one another. Ashina blinked, her lips parting slightly, and Ace closed the distance. The feel of her mouth on his, soft and smooth, was better than he imagined. Ashina let out a soft noise, and she let Ace deepen the kiss. His tongue slid against hers, probing her sweet mouth as his hands held her pressed to his chest.
Ashina slid her hands up his arms to wrap over his wide shoulders, holding herself closer to him. He was tall, and muscular, and oh so warm against her chilled skin. He was strong, but his mouth was soft against hers. Ashina wanted more, but crossing that line meant opening herself for deeper feelings. Deeper and stronger than she was already fighting against.
Breaking away from his delicious kiss, she pressed her forehead against his chest and slowed her breaths. Ace relaxed his hold, but did not release her.
“Sor-”
“Don’t apologize, Flame Boy. If I didn’t like your advances I’d have punched you.”
Ace snorted and pressed his lips to the top of her head. “Okay. You need a nickname.”
Ashina giggled and pulled back. Ace let her go, but she captured his hand in hers. She pulled him along behind her as she headed for the cabin. “The crew calls me Missus.”
Ace sputtered and Ashina giggled.
“No? The Marine wanted my name. I didn’t give it to her. I’m sure if they ever get my picture they’ll think of something clever. Huh, Fire Fist?”
“Ashina…” Ace trailed off, trying to think of a good nickname for her, but coming up short. “I got nothing. You are good with a sword though.”
“I have no intentions of being the World’s Greatest Swordsman. A man’s blows will always have more power, no matter how hard I train. Haki can make my blows stronger and my defense higher, but against someone like Mihawk?” She gave an unladylike snort. “Not a chance.”
Ace closed the door behind them and Ashina dropped his hand. Her hands went to the sash of her robe and the robe loosened around her waist.
“I think you could become great. You could hone your skills, get better, in the New World.”
Ashina hummed and shed her robe, leaving only the silky nightgown to cover her sun-kissed skin. Ace watched her climb into the bed and slide under the covers. He followed her and got comfortable beside her. She curled against his side, humming in pleasure as he raised the temperature, and rested her head against his chest.
“I have to go back. Dragon will have new missions, new goals. Our paths are sure to cross again once we part ways,” she said softly.
The words were bitter on her tongue.
.
.
.
It was late. Ashina was in the cabin already, but several friends were still up drinking. Ace longed to bid them goodnight, he wanted to soak up every moment he got to spend with Ashina. At the same time, he enjoyed the brotherhood, the laughter and jokes.
“Hey, Cap,” Saber said, waving a hand in front of Ace’s face to catch his attention. “That one Navy woman was a redhead, and so is the missus.”
“She’s not –” Ace tried to protest, but Saber kept talking.
“You have a knack for attracting the fiery haired women.”
The only fiery haired woman Ace was attracted to was Ashina. He took a drink from his cup to keep his eyes away from the closed door of the cabin.
Deuce chuckled. “That or they find him.”
“Pretty ones too,” Skull added. “That Marine was cute. The Missus.. well… we’ve all seen that black bikini.”
Ace couldn’t hold back the flames any longer and they erupted from his shoulders and back, the heat intense.
Deuce just laughed and leaned away. “Easy, Captain. It’s just a little joking. A guy can’t help but look. Don’t you?”
“Don’t I what?” Ace tried to play stupid, maybe they’d buy it.
They didn’t.
“Really, boss?” Saber said seriously and then grinned. “You sleep in the same bed with that gorgeous woman and you say you don’t look? You don’t touch?”
“Of course I look, but it doesn’t mean I’m going to discuss it with you knuckleheads.”
“She’ll be leaving soon, Cap,” Skull said. His tone wasn’t teasing, he was serious.
“I know that.”
“You just gonna let her walk away? We tease you, but only because we all see the two of you dancing around each other. You say live without regrets right? Stop shooting the shit with us, and walk through that door you keep staring holes into hoping none of us notice.”
Deuce chuckled and Ace shot him a glare, making the blue haired man hold up his hands. “Hey, man, I’m with Skull. She’s nice to look at, real pretty eyes, but it’s clear who she’s attracted to and it’s not one of us poor saps. Go. We’ve got one more island before Sabaody, we’ll be there by tomorrow morning. Then it’s on to Sabaody and she’s back to the Revolutionaries.”
Ace knew he was right, and it sucked. It sucked that she would be gone so soon. He had a few more days at the most. Would it be enough time to convince her to stay?
Ace stood from the stool he’d been occupying and, leaving his drink behind, headed for the Captain’s cabin. The door was unlocked, which was no surprise to him, Ashina never locked the door to his knowledge. He took it as a sign that she’d always shared some level of trust with him. She was at the desk, writing something, and only briefly looked up at him before finishing what she was doing.
Ace toed off his boots. He hung his hat on the peg on the door and then crossed over to the desk. “What are you writing?”
Ashina rolled the sheet of paper up into a tube and set the pen down. “Promise you won’t tease? I hear how the others pick on Deuce.”
Ace held out his hand. “Swear.”
Ashina slid her hand into his, squeeze it once and then let go as she spoke. “I write to my mama. She’s… she died… but I write to her sometimes. I never do anything with the letters, but it’s something I do. When she was still alive, I lived with her, and I didn’t get to see my father all that often, but I wanted to tell him everything about every day. Mama taught me to read and write, so when I was big enough I started to write letters to him. We didn’t send them, but I’d always give them to him when he visited. It must seem silly to write to someon-”
Ace cut her off. “It’s not silly. My handwriting is shit, or I’d write to my mother. I didn’t get a chance to meet her, not really. She died after I was born.”
“That’s very sad. Where’d you grow up?”
“In the East Blue. Dawn Island. I told you about Luffy? Monkey D Garp is my adopted grandfather. He checked in every now and then, when he could. Biggest pain in my ass.”
Ashina could hear then fondness in his voice and smiled. She stood from the chair and slid onto the bed, crossing her legs and patting the spot next to her. “Dragon’s father is your grandfather? Talk about a small world. So is Luffy still there? At Dawn Island?”
“Should be. We made a pack, him, Sabo, and I. Sabo was my other brother, but he… he died.”
Ashina wondered if Ace could hear the pounding of her heart at the mention of Sabo. The same Sabo she knew, her partner, her friend. The Sabo that was very much alive.
“You said should be?”
“Oh, yeah. We made a pack to set sail when we turned 17, Sabo was killed by a Celestial Dragon before he turned 17. Luffy still has two years to go.”
“Wait.. Ace, how old are you?”
“Eighteen. You?”
Ashina grinned. “I got a year on you, Flame Boy, I’m nineteen.”
Ace rolled his eyes. “It’s only a year. Where did you grow up?”
“A little island in the South Blue. If I’m not on a ship on a mission somewhere Baltigo is where I could call home now. Blasted winter island isn’t much of a home, but it makes for a good base.”
“No wonder you’re always cold.”
Ace grinned and Ashina giggled, shaking her head. “I’m not a fan, but I’d rather like to stay on Dragon’s good side, and the alternative is Momoiro Island.”
When Ace pulled as face Ashina burst into laughter. “So, you’ve heard of it?”
“Yeah. I’ll pass.”
“Me too. Not to mention Dragon is like eight feet tall. I’ll do my best to stay on his good side, so I don’t complain about the cold… that much.”
Ace made a noise of agreement. They were silent for a moment before Ashina spoke, softer this time with a hesitation in her voice. “Ace, if Monkey D Garp is only your adopted grandfather… who were your parents? Did you know them?”
Ashina took his silence as if she had offended him and quickly apologized. “I’m so sorry, that’s none of my business I shou-”
“My father was Gol D Roger.”
Ashina felt as if her eyes practically bugged out of her head.
Ace waited for the snide remark, or the derogatory words, the ones he’d heard all his life without people ever knowing he was actually Roger’s son, but they never came. Ashina sat in silence, mulling over what he had said.
“So then you’re really, Gol D Ace. Why Portgas?”
“It was my mother’s name. She was Portgas D Rouge. You ever hear about what happened after the World Government caught wind that Roger had a child?”
“Yes.” Ashina’s face twisted in disgust. The senseless murder of unborn children and women was one of the many reasons she hated that authority.
“Gramps told me that she carried me for twenty months. Long enough to ensure my safety. She died shortly after naming me. Gramps said she did name me Gol D Ace, but that bastard didn’t leave anything for me but people’s hate and distrust of him and his demon child. I chose to be Portgas for my mother, who sacrificed her life for mine.”
“Ace…” Ashina blinked back the tears that had formed in her eyes and reached across the bed to touch his hand.
He jerked at first in surprise, but turned his hand over letting her place hers in his larger one. His fingers curled around hers. “Portgas D Ace. The future Pirate King all in his own right.”
The corner of his mouth turned up in the smallest of smiles and Ashina steered the conversation to lighter topics. “So, Ace, what’s your favorite food?”
“Meat.”
Ashina burst into laughter. “That’s not a food, that’s a whole food group. What is your favorite?”
“Uh…”
She giggled again and Ace was distracted by her bright, green eyes and pretty smile. “Mine’s Takoyaki, with ramen being a close second.”
“Hmm. I guess I really like spicy peppers.”
“Like a little spicy or the ridiculously hot ones that make you sweat?”
“The second ones, but they’ve never made me sweat, they’re good.”
“They’re hot. Too hot, I like spicy but not where smoke comes out of my ears.”
Ace laughed. “Maybe it’s the devil fruit. I didn’t eat a lot of peppers as a kid.”
“No? Just meat?” She teased. “I’ve heard Devil Fruits taste awful.”
“They don’t taste good,” Ace said, pulling a face at the memory of eating the Mera Mera fruit. “Definitely not like any other normal fruits. Would you eat one if you ever found one?”
“And lose the ability to swim? No thanks. Don’t you miss being able to swim?”
“Not really. Does suck to be paralyzed in a bath. I can only go about knee deep into any water before I start to lose my power and the ability to move, it slowly drains away your energy.”
“So just showers then. See, totally won’t eat one. A hot bath or spa is the best.”
“I mean, I could, I’d just have to get someone to haul me out.”
Ashina burst into laughter covering her face with her hands and falling back onto the bed. She made a snort, which only made her laugh harder.
“What is so funny?” he asked.
“I’m trying to picture Deuce attempting to haul your ass out of the tub in the bathroom. Oh, that’s great!”
She snorted again, making herself laugh harder. Ace couldn’t help but grin down at her. “It’s not that funny.”
Ashina uncovered her face, her bright green eyes meeting his, and she replied between giggles. “Yes it is.”
Ace flopped on his back beside her, stretching out and folding his arms behind his head, and waited for her giggles to end. When they finally did she laid beside him in the quiet for a few minutes.
“I should change or I’m going to fall asleep just like this.”
Ace moved to sit up. “I’ll let you have your privacy for a moment then.”
Her hand touched his upper arm and he met her smile with wide eyes. “You don’t have to leave. You won’t see any more than you do when I wear my bathing suit.”
Ashina stood from the bed and walked over to where she kept her pack of clothes beside his. Ace flopped back on the bed and closed his eyes. He didn’t want to look, he should be polite and let her have her privacy, but damn it he was a pirate, too, and curious as fuck. In the quiet room he could hear her move about and when her shorts hit the floor with a soft plop, he opened his eyes. With his arms tucked behind his head, he could easily see her across the room.
Her back to was to him, and her long, wavy crimson hair cascaded down her naked back. The only article of clothing on her was the pale blue, cotton panties that covered a little less than her bathing suit did. Fuck, he shouldn’t have looked. Ace wanted to touch her, wanted to really feel her, he wanted to have sex with her. Most of all he didn’t want her to return to the Revolutionaries.
The floral nightgown slid down over her petite curves. She turned around and noticed his gaze. Ace smirked and shrugged at being caught, and Ashina’s lips curved up into a seductive grin.
“Do you always wear shorts to sleep?” Ashina crawled back into the bed, stretching out across what had become her side of the bed.
“No.”
“Are you going to go back out to the boys?”
“No.”
“Then strip.”
“Ashina!” he screeched.
She barked out a laugh. “For bed Flame Boy.”
Ace laid on the bed for a moment longer before sitting up. He shed his shirt and tossed it across the room to land on his trunk.
He stayed in his shorts, only yanking the two belts free from their loops, before stretching out beside her.
Ashina made a humming noise. “Suit yourself.”
She shifted around and then slid close to his side, pressing the length of her slender body against his side. One of her smooth, bare legs, slid over his while her hand found the center of his chest. His arm curved over her shoulders, holding her closer to him. Ace turned his head and pressed a kiss to her forehead.
When she lifted her head to catch his gaze, Ace hesitated only for a second before pressing his lips to hers. Ashina let out a soft moan, shifting to move higher which brought her closer. Ace depended the kiss and rolled them so he hovered slightly over her. Ashina let out another soft moan and her hands slid up his chest. They glided over his shoulders and then down to grip his biceps.
He nipped her lip playfully with his teeth as he pulled back and she gave a breathy gasp. Ace couldn’t help the smirk that tugged at his lips. She was flushed beneath him and each panting breath caused her pert nipples to brush against his chest. The thin, soft material between them the only barrier.
Ace caught her eyes and Ashina caught his lips in a second kiss. She slid her tongue over his bottom lip and then delved into his mouth, gliding her tongue over his. She broke away, placing wet kisses across his jaw until she reached his ear.
“Touch me,” she purred.
Ace raised his head to look down at her as he lifted one hand from the mattress. He started at her thigh, as far down as he could reach, and let his fingers glide up the smooth skin. He didn’t dip under the fabric of her nightgown, but over it as he moved up to her hip. When he continued up her side she arched into his touch. Brushing the swell of her breast with his fingertips made her let out a soft moan. She arched into his touch more as he palmed her breast.
She shifted beneath him and her leg slid up his, widening and opening for him to lay between her thighs. Her leg wrapped over his and pulled him closer to her. It was his turn to moan as his hard length pressed against her warm center.
A loud banging on the door made Ashina pulled away from him as if he’d burned her.
“Yo! Captain! Unknown ship off the port side!”
“Damn it,” Ace groaned, hanging his head.
Ashina giggled and slid her leg down his, she turned her head and her lips brushed his cheek. He turned his head, meeting her gaze for a split second before catching her lips again. His hand was still on her breast, and he slid it slowly back down her curves down to the swell of her ass.
“Captain!”
Ace pulled away. “Oi! I heard you!”
Ashina giggled again and shoved his shoulder. “Go, Captain.” She stressed the title and gave him a playful grin. She shoved him again, so he reluctantly got to his feet.
“You staying in bed?” he asked, snatching his belt from the floor.
“Yell if you need me, Fire Fist.” Ashina slipped her legs under the blanket and shifted to curl up near the middle of the bed. She gave him a wink and then closed her eyes.
