Uhhh?!?! 2015 live action Watari and L, I would die for you? I love these two so much. I’m only three episodes in, but Misa is handled really well so far and I think she might surpass the flaws that people point out in the original anime. Also Light struggling with his morals (or at least being effected emotionally) because of all the people he’s killed is really cool to see.

it cracks me up how little the jdrama task force seems to take mello seriously. bc like. yeah! Not only is he a five-foot tall 12 year old, but he's a five-foot tall twelve year old who until about 3 minutes ago was the sweetest little dude ever so even when he's threatening them like this:

they all give the most half-hearted look of fake fear ever. Mogi is literally still smiling

I love how they gave Light a friend group in the jdrama. Like a whole 3 good friends who he hangs out with in class and on his days off. And he seems pretty close with them, especially Kamoda who he FIRST USES THE DEATH NOTE FOR. (Even though he thought it was fake), he had almost no hesitation writing down the name of the bully who had threatened Kamoda, and the thing that it seemed tipped him over the edge from ‘oh well, hes a shitty guy’ to murder was Kamoda begging someone to do something. As we see with soichiro, light went down that path to save people first and foremost, and lost himself along the way. I wonder how his friends felt when he vanished and never came back. I wonder if they mourned him.

I was today years old when I found out that in the Disney live action Cinderella (2015) Cinderella's stepsister Anastasia was portrayed by Holliday Grainger who portrays lucrezia borgia from The Borgias (2011).
