I have these really important exams and they're gonna last for an entire month! Like I'm not even kidding the education system got messed up cuz of covid and they're ruining everything for us. All the new norms are straight up unfair and unnecessary but as students we gotta deal with it 💀 usually academic year ends by the end of march or first week of april and the next one starts right away but this year it's gonna end by the time may is over. This means that we have 2 months less for the upcoming grade but rhe syllabus is same. Covid messed up the previous, this and the upcoming academic years for us lmfao. We have no sort breaks and will only be provided with national or festive holidays 💀💀 love this for us 😇😇😇😇

AHHHHHH ADA OMG HI BFF WELCOME BACK IM SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR EXAMS :( I didn’t even know Covid screwed up other peoples schools so bad… ours just went online and they got rid of the exams and stuff for the 2020 year so everyone passed but our school year and stuff is all the same. THEYRE NOT EVEN GIVING YOU LIKE WINTER BREAK?!?! OR SPRING BREAK?!? SPRING BREAK IS A VITAL PART OF THE EDUCATION YOU CANNOT CHANGE MY MIND ���� ilyt bff… I hope school and life gets a little easier 🙁 ik it sucks being so overwhelmed. Omg sudah lama sekali tidak menuangkan pikiran yang bener di tumblr karena beberapa bulan terakhir otak w sungguh tidak jauh-jauh dari masalah perbucinan. Tapi karena kemaren-kemaren banyak yang ngobrolin masalah privilege jadi kepikiran betapa beruntungnya aku bisa berada di posisi sekarang, doing something that I love with support from the people that I love. 

Ngomongin luck, aku udah lama sadar kayanya aku dikasih jatah agak banyak sama Allah, mirip-mirip Serena van der Woodsen (uhuy) gitu yang masalah hidupnya banyak kelar tanpa doi harus kerja keras banget. Contoh kecil, tiap naik transportasi umum entah dimanapun, entah gimana caranya w hampir selalu dapet duduk, mau di KRL super mepet-mepet, naik transjakarta, naik tram super penuh. Aku pernah bilang ini ke Adit pas awal kita jalan dan waktu itu kita mau ke leuwi panjang naik bis kota. Bisnya penuh banget dan kita berdiri, tiba-tiba ibu depan aku manggil, “neng sini ibu bisikin”, pas aku mendekat dia bilang “neng eta resleting celananya kebuka”, “oh iya bu makasih”, “duduk sini aja neng” dan dia melipir lalu ngasih tempat duduk buat aku. Adit bengong dong wkwk karena beneran baru diomongin kalo aku suka dapet duduk secara ajaib dan dia langsung menyaksikan.

Ada banyak banget kemudahan di hidupku yang datengnya bener-bener ajaib gitu. Let me make a list so my future self can always look back whenever she is feeling ungrateful:

1. Kelar UN SMA ku dan teman-teman cluelessku malah langsung bersenang-senang dan ga kepikiran bimbel sama sekali. Gile, ketika orang-orang stress mau kuliah dimana, kita berlima malah ke gili tiap minggu main ga berenti-berenti. Luckynya? Itu tahun pertama SNMPTN undangan dan yg keterima banyak banget terus w keterima di ITB dong subhanallah. Sempat mikir anjir ga adil banget sama temen-temen yang udah kerja keras dan galau kuliah mulu terus w yang cengengesan ini malah dapet ITB.

2.  Pas lagi S2 akhir-akhir iseng dateng ke ITB career days dan ngelepas CV asal aja gitu hampir ke semua booth yang didatengin. Beberapa manggil buat tes dan dijalanin aja anteng gitu tanpa ekspektasi apa-apa karena emang masih kuliah kan. Beberapa mentok di FGD dan interview karena w belum siap kerja. Nah terus frisian flag nih, dia tesnya itu pas bulan mei w masih kuliah jadi pas tes pun kayak he-eh he-eh gitu kan bahkan sempat ke dokter gigi pas istirahat makan siang dan jadi telat presentasi! Tapi emang namanya rejeki ya, dia pengumumannya bulan agustus dong lama bats w udah lupa dan ternyata ku lolos buat interview sama BoD dan waktu itu pas banget baru wisuda. Kayak. Hah? I didn’t even have a time think about which career to pursue after graduation yet I have a BoD interview to attend? Akhirnya ku lolos beneran dong dan September bahkan sudah langsung bekerja sebagai MT.

 3. I have a super toxic ex in a very long relationship. W pernah pacaran 6 tahun dan sudah pengen lepas sesungguhnya dari tahun ketiga but this particular ex is an expert in manipulating my emotion (atau sesungguhnya saat itu masih sayang kali ya) sehingga tiap mau putus tuh gajadi mulu. Pas akhirnya putus dengan berbagai dramanya, rasanya tuh legaaaaaa banget gile jadi jomblo enak banget bisa bebas ngapa-ngapain dan flirting sama siapa aja HAHAHA. Bouncer w banyak juga tuh kalo diitung-itung, tapi waktu itu emang belom pengen terikat lagi cuma pen hepi-hepi doang. Ada yang ngajak serius waktu itu dan sungguh kupertimbangkan tapi ya emang belom siap dan akhirnya gajadi. Pokonya disaat temen-temen segeng w galau nikah ku hanya senyam-senyum doang mendoakan yang terbaik bagi mereka, ga ada pengen nyusul samsek. Akhirnya datenglah Adit yang super fleksibel dan menerima w bener-bener apa adanya (haha dangdut). Entah kenapa sama adit rasanya gampang banget gitu, mau w centil sama mas-mas ganteng di kereta, have a big crush on a hot collaborator (yang udah punya anak satu), dicentilin anak satu departemen (eh dua?) kayak ku selalu bisa cerita sama dia and he gets me. Like really gets me. Rasanya kayak punya tambahan BFF yang bisa dicurhatin apa aja tanpa dijudge tapi this BFF wants to do you romantically, too (haha yaAllah masih bucin aja gmn nih). Awal diajak nikah tuh beneran pas baruu banget pacaran dan akunya yang “jangan asal jeplak ah ngajak nikah tuh bukan becandaan” sampe kita ngobrol lamaaa banget dan ternyata ya emang serius ngajaknya. Ku akhirnya minta waktu buat istikharah tapi emang ganiat-niat banget abis istikharah beberapa kali terus lupa gitu. Sampe suatu hari aku mimpi nikah sama Adit di restoran favorit aku tapi aku ga ngeh dan anggepnya biasa aja. Terus waktu itu lagi ngobrolin venue nikahan sama temen dan aku bilang, eh aku mimpi nikahan di restoran ini dong kayanya bagus juga ya buat venue. Terus malah temenku yang bengong dan menyadarkanku kalo bisa jadi itu adalah jawaban istikharah aku selama ini :”). Alhamdulillah abis itu diyakinin dan emang jadi pengen nikah terus yaudah deh.

4. When my dreams were crushed, a friend told me “I applied for a PhD in Swinburne, you gotta apply too girl! Hurry! The deadline is in 2 weeks.” Aku dulu anak X-ray dan AGN dan sesungguhnya ga ada di Swinburne. Tapi bener kata temenku, kalo bukan rejeki ya gausah disesali berlebihan, harus kejar opportunity yang lain. Siapin berkas pendaftaran dan minta rekomendasi dosen hanya dalam 2 minggu. Ternyata shortlisted buat interview dan ada salah satu profesor yang nawarin project yang udah ada dananya sehingga otomatis aku dapet full scholarship dan banyak benefit lainnya yang ga didapet kandidat lain, bahkan ga harus interview sama fakultas! Di saat itu aku bahkan belum ambil ielts/toefl. Akhirnya aku resign kerja, daftar toefl biar bisa enroll secara resmi, belajar toefl sendiri pake bukunya Kevin yang Barron’s selama seminggu (boro-boro mau les, buku toefl aja minjem saking ga modalnya), tapi herannya toeflnya lolos-lolos aja, another luck. Toefl keluar, apply kampus, enrolment confirmed, apply visa, ga nyampe 2 minggu visa kelar. Ada luck lagi nih pas nyari akomodasi di website kampus. Biasanya kan dateng, stay di hotel/short term accomodation, inspeksi share house/apartment, agreement, baru pindah kan. Nah akutuh entah kenapa pas ngabarin sharehousenya dan dia tau kalo waktu itu aku masih di indonesia, dia nawarin short term accomodation juga dengan rate yang lebih rendah dari hotel. Kalo emang cocok ya lanjut agreement tapi kalo emang inspeksi ke rumah-rumah lain dan ada yg lebih bagus ya bayarnya perhari aja. Aku setuju kan. Terus dia dengan baiknya nawarin jemput di bandara dong, gratis. Gile baik banget. Ga ngerti lagi baik banget, bandara-rumah tuh bisa $90 sendiri pake taksi. Kalo pake transportasi umum bisa 30 tapi ya gitu harus ganti-ganti. In the end I stayed at their house, long term, dan akhirnya short-termnya digratisin kayak jadi bonus gitu.

So yes, my future self which I believe will still be as clueless as I’ve always been. Whenever you feel down, just remember how lucky you are to be in the position you are now. Don’t waste your series of luck by giving up.

Ayoo I'm back from dead 😍 Gosh as much as I wanna sleep these exams are fking tough lol I studied for like 8 hours straight then slept from 3:30-5:30 then woke up and studied again but at least I'll be getting full marks (just cuz it was math exam today 😍😍)

As for the classes, well these are combined exams so you have to study EVERYTHING (that means you gotta study physics, chemistry, bio, math, political science, economics, geography, history, 2 languages and information tech.). Cherry on top the exams for phy, chem and bio are on the same day and the exams for pol sci, eco, geo and history on the same day. MIND GO BRR 😩😩

Idk if this is weird or not but I actually don't drink coffee/tea/energy drinks and overall I barely eat packaged foods so yea
