okay so like. what if the way the addisons competed against each other in clicks/sales was by like by a score board like in monsters inc where all the adds in cyber city meet to see who who scored the top clicks by the end of the week so they can constantly try to out beat each other the next because they live in a capitalistic hell. and spamton was always constantly at the bottom of the scoreboard while his friends were always several tiers higher. would that be fucked up or what

in game i dont think spamton would be able to comfort anybody due to fixating on his own traumas (and often projecting its own insecurities on other people as a result) but even in a therapy setting I feel spamton would still have trouble. Like, especially in afttp after learning healthier coping mechanisms i can see spamton wanting to help people (the other addisons in particular, especially sam) but not knowing how to—especially with words. Spamton isn’t good with finding the right words, so instead tries to help through its actions. The thing is, I don’t think Spamton would know what right actions to take either, and when they think abt comforting someone Spam thinks abt distracting them from the problem (because I imagine that’s also what he does by force of habit—distracting and pushing away its own problems) but instead of projecting and talking abt himself like before Spamton tries to take them somewhere or do something they enjoy. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, yet spam is learning.

(fyi the formatting is really messy and some text is hard to read i wish i made this differently at the time but here we go)

okay this is rly old but its so interesting to me reading this because this was the first time i actually thought abt spamton’s relationships w/ the addisons (i think it was a response to an ask that was curious abt their relationships too so i think thats what prompted this?)

its so interesting to me because there are some dynamics that have stuck throughout the whole year if not then expanded upon and/or changed, for ex. Pops and Blowse used to be just best friends but now i consider them siblings; the fact that I expanded Percy and Pop’s relationship and made them a couple too; and also the fact that I’ve kept Percy and Blowse’s contrasting yet complimenting personalities (esp towards each other)

Yet there’s also drastic changes too, e.g. spamton in afttp now is a lot more wary of the addisons upon their initial meeting, and also the fact in my au the way they all meet is different as well (which is still something i have yet to reveal, worry not!)

Addispam’s opinions of the gang i feel would be different now as well as regular Spam too…

I think i want to remake this sometime, it was really cool to see how my ideas first started and now i wanna remake it to see how they compare 👀

i don’t think i’ve mentioned this before but in my fanon i imagine spam was a pretty good cook pre-big shot days. Like i imagine it’s mom taught him how to cook growing up and they could cook and bake rly well as a result (which the addisons really loved at the time lol, since some either couldnt cook at all or were too busy to cook and usually went out/ordered takeout. Spam didn’t cook for them often but when he did it was a treat (which in a way sort of added to Spam’s ego a bit lol)). though after years of living in the mansion + living in the streets afterwards they didn’t get a chance to really cook so I imagine in afttp spamton would try to pick up cooking again and would be rusty as a result (but the food’s not too bad! Spam remembers some things still!)

i like to think sam likes to eat regular food but thinks lightners dont eat regular food, hence why she tries to sell ‘edible’ shoe samples to kris and the gang (like how in game the blue addison tries to sell shoe samples on a toothpick). Except they arent actually edible they are just tiny shoes.
