Dr. George Tarleton was born with savant syndrome and unparalleled intellect. Over time, his brain and cranium grew to an unnatural size, diverting so much energy to his mind that he eventually became paraplegic. Before losing full use of his body, Tarleton created the Mobile Orbital Device, a floating life-support system that converted his thoughts into commands. This device allowed him to interface with machines and fire a laser beam from a mounted emitter on his forehead. While his mutation made him unmatched in intelligence, it also left him easily aggravated, prone to cruelty, and physically altered, giving his face a gaunt and warped appearance despite his initially average looks.

Of all Marvel's villainous groups, I think A.I.M is one of the scariest groups. Especially when you stop to think about it. Their two biggest creations are the Super-Adaptoid and Modok. And Modok is especially messed up. As far as I'm aware, Modok was just some guy they experimented on to make him into a killing machine. A.I.M sucks. I don't want to play the eugenics card (I've done that too much before, honestly), but A.I.M just screams eugencics to me.
