I've been getting into gunpla and i'd like a rec since you know mecha. Are there any gunpla you recommend? I'd appreciate one that doesn't look like a dude as much as possible.

The closest i've gotten to that idea so far is a guarda/rever nova build from the 30 minute missions line because of the two scorpian arms.

May I suggest the Wodom Pod?

Its fairly simple to build, very cheap and readily available.

If you want to straddle the "a guy thing" in your mentality and challenge it a little, also good is the Aegis specifically its transformation mode as its primary mode (like all humanoid MS) is intended for generalized combat and front-line logistical work (hence the hands).

If not, Hildolfr is a fun one. He bridges the space between early mobilesuits in minovsky signals displacement warfare and was used by a starship cannon pilot, requiring a lot of manual skill to aim well!

The Xamel is also really good though only provided you've got skills to bring the best out of the kit with scribing and painting. He's a heavy launch platform hovercraft designed for opening vollies with a high powered mortar grenade system via coordinates coming from other units, with legs designed for hit and run skirmishes so he can make his get-away after providing the opening strikes and fire-support during the mop-up phase of an attack.

Not gunpla, and a bit more advanced is Variable Infinity's Armored Core Aaliyah. You're probably gonna need some glue for this as smaller parts fall off. Its extremely detailed, and very "not a guy" despite being humanoid.

It uses a spherical particle field of highly radioactive and toxicparticles to protect and cool itself, and is capable of absurd mobility.

Quite a pain in the ass to work with, the design itself is utterly sublime and a spectacle to look at and I fell in love with it circa 2007 with Armored Core 4. Sadly, it isn't anywhere near as posable as most Gunpla due to how "un-guy-like" its body design is. These are the concessions we make cool appearances like this.

A substantially easier build (and much closer to Gunpla) is bandai's 30 minute mission 30MM Armored CORE Ⅵ Fires of Rubicon - BALAM Industries BD-011 MELANDER Liger Tail

I'm a huge sucker for 4-legged mecha since they're about as far from "an guy" as you can get. They're also super affordable right now if you can find a stockist who isn't a scalper.

Also while not Gunpla, if you have advanced skills, Gunhed is also very good though it requires a lot of extra work since the plastic provided with this kit is more of a raw material you need to do work to, to achieve the look and hide the seams akin to more traditional model kits. Gunhed's role is to invade gigantic sprawling synthetic superstructures and wipe out unmanned weapons.

Though likely not to your tastes, my own personal favourite of the year has actually been the Lfrith Ur. I don't usually go for chunkier designs but it has that delightful "chubby girl in a swimsuit" energy despite being a very intense and scary weapon that scratches some strange itch in my brain that I find deeply pleasing.

It is likewise, also very cheap -- and if you get two of them, its very easy to mod them together into a single 4-legged machine with double loadout (very cool, and probably bringing it more in like with your preference -- I wish I still had photos: I'm currently out of the country and my "big database of cool research files" is at home and wouldn't search well from two continents away)

Also Zowort heavy from the same line if you do the same quad-leg/tetrapod adaption looks amazing. I have a huge soft-spot for unusual legs, if its not clear.

I feel like it would take a while before Geo even acknowledges that he might like you. 

He’d be denying that you’re even friends for the longest time and then it just hits up like a bus. If he’s doing something like his archery class when it hits him, he just pauses and stares off into the distance. His eyes widen ever so slight, you wouldn’t really notice unless you were right up in his face. 

I’m sorry you have to confess 😭 His reaction depends on how you confess/ask him out. 

If you are in a public space- He’s eyes would go wide most likely and glance around at everyone anxiously. If he sees people noticing you two, he’ll probably reject you💀😭 

If you accept and apologize, he’d find you later in the hall and ask to talk to you in private. He’d explain why he rejected you, which he was overwhelmed and would’ve much rather preferred a clear and empty space. 

He’d say you can restart with his face not as harsh looking. He’s essentially saying to ask again in a much better space.

Of course, you ask again and then he actually gives the answer he would’ve liked to say before. 

If you do it in a quieter, more private setting- He’s slightly suspicious on why you’re asking to talk to him in private. 

He’s very pleased that you’ve asked him without the staring eyes of others once he hears your confession. 

He just..stares at you for a few moments before nodding slowly.

Maintaining the Hive’s pristine headquarters became his daily affirmation of purpose. Each sweep of his mop and polish of a surface was not menial labor—it was a vital cog in the collective machine. His uniform, a black rubber overall paired with silver gloves and boots, was no longer just attire; it had become his second skin, a tactile reminder of his role in SERVE's grand design.

The flat provided by SERVE mirrored the company’s ethos: sleek, efficient, and minimalist. Rubber sheets covered his bed, cool and smooth, their embrace a nightly reminder of the unity he was striving to embody. As he lay there each night, he felt the quiet hum of the Hive, a whisper of the transformation that awaited him.

By his third month, Matt’s life revolved around SERVE's rhythm. Days were filled with work and rigorous training, while nights were dedicated to studying the Hive’s intricate systems and protocols. The sleek latex uniforms of higher-ranking employees, once symbols of distant aspiration, became tangible goals. They represented his future—a mark of his progress toward unity.

One morning, he received a summons from Alex. The anticipation was electric as Matt strode through the corridors, his boots tapping a steady rhythm against the polished floors. In the interview room, Alex stood tall, arms crossed over the gleaming black latex of his uniform.

"Good morning, Matthew," Alex greeted, his voice calm and deliberate. "Your dedication has not gone unnoticed. The Hive has deemed you ready for the next step."

Matt’s chest swelled with pride. He leaned forward, barely able to contain his excitement. "What does the Hive require of me?" he asked, his voice steady with determination.

Alex’s expression was inscrutable as he spoke. "You’ve demonstrated that no task is too small when serving the collective. This understanding is critical for advancement. Your new role involves managing sensitive employee data—their strengths, weaknesses, and aspirations. This position requires utmost discretion and unwavering focus to ensure harmony within the Hive."

Matt nodded, the weight of the responsibility thrilling rather than daunting. "I won’t disappoint the Hive," he vowed.

Alex’s approving nod was slight but significant. He gestured toward a nearby room where a rack held a pristine uniform: a white latex shirt, matching trousers, a latex tie, and polished silver boots and gloves. The ensemble gleamed under the room’s sterile lighting.

"This," Alex said, his voice tinged with reverence, "is your new identity. Wear it with pride. The rest of your uniform will be delivered to your flat tonight."

Matt approached the uniform with trembling hands. The material, flawless and cool under his touch, symbolized his ascent within the Hive. Sliding into it, he felt the latex mold to his body with precision, the embrace almost comforting. When he looked into the mirror, he saw more than himself—he saw his place in the collective.

Alex stepped forward, his tone serious. "This uniform is not merely clothing. It represents your commitment to SERVE. You will wear it from the moment you leave your flat until the moment you return. Treat it as sacred."

"I understand," Matt replied, his voice steady. "I will serve with absolute dedication."

"Good." Alex extended his hand, the latex of his glove cool against Matt’s palm. "Obedience is pleasure, and pleasure is obedience. Remember this as you step into your new role."

The mantra echoed in Matt’s mind as he repeated it, the words resonating deeply. He was no longer a mere janitor; he was a part of something monumental, a cog in the machine driving SERVE’s perfection.

That evening, the anticipation for his uniform’s delivery was palpable. The buzz of the intercom startled him from his thoughts. A sleek delivery drone hovered at his door, presenting a black box with a soft hiss. Inside lay his new uniform, its gleaming latex a symbol of his progress.

Matt ceremoniously replaced the remnants of his old wardrobe, folding and discarding clothes that now felt foreign against his skin. As he hung the new uniform in his wardrobe, the act felt symbolic—a final shedding of his past. His home, with its chrome fixtures and sterile minimalism, now felt complete, reflecting his transformation.

The next morning, Matt donned the uniform with practiced reverence. The latex clung to his body like a second skin, each piece fitting with immaculate precision. The tie clicked into place, and the polished boots gleamed as he stepped into them. He paused before the mirror, taking in his reflection: a man no longer bound by his past, but fully committed to the Hive.

Walking through the streets, Matt felt the curious gazes of passers-by, some avoiding eye contact, others lingering with envy or awe. The chrome and glass SERVE headquarters loomed ahead, and as he entered, the Hive’s rhythm enveloped him.

A few weeks passed since the team found out about your past. Since then, you've been working hard to get back on track and focus on helping out during the missions.

This mission was different; you were on the field.

"Wait what?!" you and Bucky yelled in disbelief.

"You want me to be ON THE FIELD? like in person with Bucky, not in my office, like real life?" you asked incredulously.

"Yes, it's necessary for this mission. You can't hack into these systems because their firewalls are extremely advanced. The only way to give you access is to sneak in a USB and attach it to their mainframe. Once you have access, you can download all information. Get in, get out. Simple."

"I understand that this is your first mission on the field. Be assured I will have Sam in the air to cover for any undesired attention. Natasha will be on the rooftops with her sniper. Steve will be on the floor with you, scouring for guards and keeping your path clear. I trust that you can do this."

You stare at him silently. Unsure what to say you nod your head and turn to walk away.

"One more thing, you and Bucky will be posing as a couple. You have great chemistry that will make it believable. This is an extremely upscale gala, you must look and act the part completely. Outfits and transportation have been arranged for you."

Bucky sighs "Cyber, it's going to be alright. We'll be covered on all fronts. Just follow my lead and we'll get this done quickly."

You nod, staring at your feet as you walk away toward your room. There's a dress, heels, gloves, and accessories waiting for on your bed and vanity.

A long satin dark blue strapless dress is hanging on your closet door. There's a corset in the dress to give your body that hourglass shape and cinch in your waist. The dress has a slit from your mid-thigh down. There are matching satin gloves on your vanity and luxury brand nude high heels.

You stare at yourself for a long time in the mirror as you put on the diamond earrings and necklace provided to match the elegance of the dress.

Your hair and makeup were done professionally, opting for a simpler hairdo with a smokey eye that made your eye colour pop.

You've never felt more beautiful in your entire life.

You exit your room and walk to the main floor of the compound where the team is waiting for you.

The first person you notice is Bucky, he's wearing an elegant dark blue suit to match your dress and a black bow tie. His hair has been cut and is slicked back with a fade on the side, accentuating his features.

His piercing blue eyes find yours as you stare at each other.

"Jesus, get a room!" yells Tony as he gets up and leaves the room.

You all chuckle at Tony's antics. Bucky walks up to you, offering his arm to you as you link it with yours and walk out to the front where your limo is waiting.

Once you're in the limo, you're suddenly aware at how high the slit is as your entire leg is out and you cross your legs in the seat.

"You clean up well. Never though I would see you out of those sweatpants." Bucky smirks as he chuckles to himself.

You blush and slap his arm playfully. "You don't look too bad yourself. Finally cut off that mop of hair?"

"Yeah... do you like it? I thought it would fit in more with the event" He says, running his hand through his hair nervously.

"It looks amazing. You look very handsome tonight."

"I'm going to be honest with you, it's going to be hard focusing on the mission with you in a dress like that Cyber." He says huskily as he stares you up and down.

"A bit of a predicament isn't it? Look away to focus on the mission, or take it all in and mess up the mission, because you won't be seeing me dressed like this for a long while" You answer back flirtatiously.

You notice his eyes darken as he leans forward and lays his hand on your thigh. He stares into your eyes, faces inches apart as he breathes out"I guess we'll have to find reasons to make you dress like this more often. Train my eyes and mind to focus on both you and the mission because right now, the mission is the last thing I'm thinking about"

Just as you're about to answer, the car comes to a stop. You pull away from him and fix your dress, clearing your throat.

The door swings open and Bucky exits, you follow suit and grab onto his outstretched hand and link your arms together.

You step onto a red carpet that is flowing down the steps of a large mansion. You look up at the grandiose building in awe as Bucky tugs you up the steps that lead to large doors held open by two men dressed in flashy suits. It opens to the main entrance of the mansion with a circular cascading staircase that wraps around one end of the mansion to the other, like a fairytale. The ceilings are at least 20 feet tall with large diamond chandeliers hanging throughout. A wall at the back has floor to ceiling windows, overlooking the entire landscape of New York City. The bustle of the crowd brings your attention back to the waiter in front of you, offering a glass of champagne. You take it gingerly with a small smile and turn to Bucky.

He pulls you to a corner at the back of the floor and turns to you.

"We have to stay hidden in plain sight. We can't attract any attention. We're going to get the mission down and get out before people even realize we were here. As planned, we wait for Steve and Natasha to give the all clear before we move." he whispers to you.

"Okay, got it." you nod your and swallow nervously. Your hands are clammy with anxiety, hoping the mission goes as smoothly as planned.

Bucky notices your apprehension and gives your hand a small squeeze followed by a smirk, letting you know that all will go well.

The night continues with classical music playing in the background from the orchestra at the top of the gorgeous staircase. Your wringing the pamphlet handed out to you previously as you nervously await for the clear signal to move.

Bucky covers your hand with his and removes the pamphlet "Relax. You're acting too nervous, people will start to notice. Just breathe, I won't let anything happen to you. We got this." he whispers to you, staring directly into your eyes to understand his sincerity.

You sigh and nod your head.

"Bucky, Cyber, all clear to move." you hear Steve say through the intercom in your ear.

Bucky grabs your hand and guides you through the kitchen. Dodging employees and walking quickly to the emergency staircase. You pull out your phone and de-activate the alarm for the doors. Bucky pushes them open and you run up 3 flights of stairs and wait for Natasha's signal to go to the main server room.

You hear the sound of three sniper shots followed by three thuds.

"All clear." says Natasha.

You push through the doors and walk towards the main server room, following the blueprint you pulled out in preparation for the mission. You override the lock and walk in with Bucky who stands watch as you set yourself up.

You start plugging in your burner phone and tablet to the servers and the hologram keyboard shows up on the floor: Tony's new gadget to keep the mission quiet and avoid the clacking of the keys from standard keyboard and it's portable.

As you're hacking into the systems you notice a small icon pop up on your tablet. That's weird, what is that?

You click it and your tablet shuts down. Fuck! What the hell just happened?

The screen opens up to the main screen of a video game. It's a clown, dancing across the screen.

You press "Start Game".

You have to catch the balloons for the clown and avoid them from falling to the ground. Confused, you play the game, thinking it's a firewall made to confuse hackers. You assume that if you beat it, you'll break through the firewall.

As you're about to win, the screen goes black again followed by the words on repeat in red:

"All work and no play, makes Y/N a dull woman"

Your eyes widen in shock. You know who this is and it isn't good.

You unplug everything and smash them to ground.

"What the hell are you doing?!" yells Bucky.

"We've been compromised, you say to Bucky and through the intercom for the rest of the team to know. I was caught in the game, they know who I am and where we are. These are really bad people that you do not want to mess with. We have to go now!"

You start pulling every wire in the room possible, destroying all servers. Might as well leave with a bang while you're there.

You and Bucky run out to the staircase and climb up to the roof where Tony's helicopter is waiting for you, you both climb in and start flying off.

Suddenly, there's a bright flash followed by a loud bang. The tail of the helicopter is on fire and everything is spinning uncontrollably. You're screaming as you look at Bucky whose eyes are filled with worry and fear.

He's the last thing you see before you crash land and everything goes black.

The day was Wednesday, 27 May 2048.

"Okay, no need to panic!! You've prepared for this!!" I repeated in an attempt to calm down. "Let's see...I should start by- p-packing!?" I continued while scrambling around to find a knife, non-perishable foods and bottled water.

As expected, I found next to nothing other than a few granola bars. As I reached for a box of granola bars, I heard a faint shuffling sound from the back of the store. I froze, straining to listen. The noise grew louder, more distinct. My breath caught in my throat. I turned around quickly; shining my flashlight into the dark room.

Panic surged through me. I grasped the mop I had brought, gripping it like a spear. The zombie lunged forward. I swung the mop, hitting it squarely in the chest. The force knocked it back, but it quickly regained its footing, advancing again with relentless determination. My mind raced. I couldn’t let it get close. Today is the SR -71's 59th birthday as a birthday present I would like to share a part of Paul Crickmore’s (a humble yet highly, intelligent English gentleman) summary of the SR 71 from his new book Lockheed Blackbird: behind the Secret Missions the Missing Chapters (it can be found on page 498.)

The SR 71 with cameras in the chine bay and SLAR sideways-looking airborne radar our SR 71 boasted the ability to provide simultaneous optic coverage of the target area.PHOTINT and RADINT ( photograph, and radar intelligence) which the A-12 could not do.

It was the SLAR system was continuously upgraded throughout the life of the program accumulating in an operational development of Loral Advance synthetic aperture radar system a SARS. This advance, digitalized radar system with a resolution of less than 1 foot at NADAR enabled, imagery to be transmitted and real time /near real time direct to the end user.

VERSION 2.0 STREAM MEGAPOST

They packed a lot of information into only an hour, so I'm warning you now, this is gonna be a mile long beneath the readmore. That said, I've put together all the gameplay-relevant information here for your casual review and convenience.

Story

Various factions from throughout the universe have been invited by The Family (Xipe's followers) to Penacony, the Land of Dreams for the first time to partake in their Charmony Festival. That description, as it turns out, is extremely literal - Penacony itself mostly consists of just a massive hotel, The Reverie, where guests fall asleep and enter a shared collective dreamscape where the "real" Penacony exists.

The first Dreamscape we're visiting as part of the v2.0 story is "the Golden Hour" (the big nighttime cityscape we've seen in so many teasers up to this point). The core idea of the place is "the time just before midnight", and the wish for "today to never end" and for tomorrow to never come.

The story for the Penacony arc, in contrast to the previous storylines we've played through, is described as "chill, carefree, [and] upbeat" where there's no imminent crisis to solve and your primary goal is enjoying your vacation to the fullest.

The Penacony story will be playing out over versions 2.0, 2.1, and 2.2, with an epilogue in v2.3, and was described as "Star Rail's biggest story ever".

Environment

There's a statue of Clockie in the Golden Hour that we can upgrade and change as we progress through Penacony.

Time and gravity are frequently warped in Penacony, and moving in multi-dimensional space is a recurring mechanic. This includes walking on walls, achieved through the "Dreamwalker" mechanic. Dreamwalker utilizes charges to change gravity that can be refilled.

Two specially mentioned settings are Dream's Edge (the outer limits of Penacony and a construction site for the dream) and A Child's Dream (an area where the Dreamwalker ability is used to explore the largest wallwalking room on Penacony).

While exploring Dream's Edge, players will need to complete walkways using perspective puzzles in order to navigate and explore.

Dream jigsaw puzzles are spread all over Penacony, and hide walkways, treasure chests, NPCs, etc.

Characters

Black Swan (Wind/Nihility) is a diviner and Memokeeper for the Garden of Recollection (Fuli's faction) who can turn people's stories and memories into cards. She uses Tarot cards as her main source of attack, though the Tarot system has been simplified for the benefit of players. When she uses her Basic Attack or Skill it inflicts enemies with the "Arcana" card, which acts as a DoT that grows in strength as more stacks are added and the cards upgrade. She's described as working especially well with damage-over-time compositions but being versatile and able to work with other teams as long as you can keep stacking up Arcana.

Sparkle (Quantum/Harmony) is a member of the Masked Fools, and a classic Fool who is always in pursuit of "elation". She mechanics seek to break the rules of the game itself; while she's in the team the party's maximum Skill Points increase beyond 5 (even restoring SP via her Ultimate). She allows the team to deal more when using SP, and her Skill allows her teammates to break the restrictions of turn order by advancing their actions (to a certain degree).

Misha (Ice/Destruction) is a doorman for the Reverie, full of interest for the world outside Penacony but who has to settle for overhearing conversations from guests to satisfy that curiosity. Misha's main weapons are a mop and a luggage trolley, which can cause chaos and get water over enemies. His primary mechanic is that the more SP the team uses, the more motivated Misha gets, resulting in greater damage (including from his Ultimate). This Technique can create a time-stop area that fully pauses any enemies caught in it.

Warps

Black Swan is the main five-star of the first half of v2.0, along with her Light Cone Reforged Remembrance. Misha will be appearing as a four-star in this half of the update.

Dan Heng - Imbibitor Lunae and his Light Cone Brighter Than the Sun will be rerun during the first half of the update.

Sparkle is the main five-star of the second half of v2.0, along with her Light Cone Earthly Escapade.

Jing Yuan and his Light Cone Before Dawn will be rerun during the second half of the update.

Events

Sparkle and Black Swan have a shared Companion Mission, "Masquerade Duet", where players will get to learn more about their respective stories.

In "Hanu's Prison Break", the Trailblazers are brought into a dreamscape where SoulGlad has been outlawed and they must lead a rebellion and take over a prison. A lot of individual mechanics in this one, including a "human pinball" section, a mirror maze that Clockie has to be guided through, and a segment where you turn into Hanu to break through prison security.

After completing Prison Break, Trailblazer will get to choose one free four-star character (between Guinaifen, Sampo, Asta, and Yukong) as their reward.

The ability to alter people's emotions will be a mechanic that is introduced as a way to interact with NPCs.

The Dreamscape Pass is a feature that will allow players to track and remember their adventures in Penacony vis-a-vis collectible stickers you obtain through the story and missions.

The Dreamchaser Bulletin is a feature designed to quickly acclimate players to the new metropolis by giving them set challenges and battles to solve on a daily basis.

In Dreamjolt TV, a local television station has been hijacked and the Trailblazers have to fight special battles in order to restore the airwaves and regain lost viewers.

In the Penacony Food Fest, you bring raw materials to the Clock Diner so they can create delicious food (and get you rewards).

The Gift of Odyssey event is returning for another free ten pulls, but the Starchaser's Gift check-in event will give another free ten pulls.

Enemies/Bosses

"For certain reasons", Sam of the Stellaron Hunters will be fought during this update. Sam can consume his HP to greatly increase his combat abilities, while also igniting the battlefield in a scorching blaze.

A new enemy, the Lordly Trashcan, can be encountered in each area of Penacony. Their gimmick is that they begin battle with no Weaknesses and take little to no damage, but take on the Weaknesses of any attacks they've been hit by.

As a result of negative emotions surfacing in the dreamscapes of Penacony, enemies can appear on Penacony. These can be divided into distinct factions, namely the Dreamjolt Troupe and the Memory Zone Meme.

The Dreamjolt Troupe are based on the local delicacy of Penacony, SoulGlad, and are warped distributors and transporters of the beverage. The only specific member described was the Sweet Gorilla, which can spray soda over your party.

Mr. Domescreen was originally a television performer, and its primary mechanic is swapping between various faces (switching between supporting your party and attacking them based on which face is active).

The Memory Zone Meme have more abstract forms as they're based on deeper subconscious thought. Mentioned members are the Allseer (based on "vision"/"sight") and the Heartbreaker (indicative of the idea of fragile hearts underneath sturdy bodies).

A specific Memory Zone Meme discussed in detail is the "Something Unto Death", which has a potent ability to instantly kill party members and ensnare their souls within Sombrous Sepulchurs and will remain dead until they are broken. This ability triggers after receiving a number of attacks, indicated by eyes along its body lighting up red.

Relics & Materials

The Pioneer Diver of Dead Water set allows equipped characters to deal more damage to enemies afflicted with debuffs.

The Watchmaker, Master of Dream Machinations set increases Break Effect for the whole team. This and the Pioneer Diver set will be obtainable in a new Cavern of Corrosion on Penacony.

A new Quantum Ascension material, Dream Flamer. This is the material needed to ascend Sparkle.

A new Ice Ascension material, Dream Fridge. This is the material needed to ascend Misha.

New Trace materials for the Paths of Destruction, Nihility, and Harmony will be introduced. All of the characters introduced in v2.0 will use these materials.

New Light Cones will be added to the Light Cone Manifest Store (the one operated by the Memory of Chaos Memokeeper and Youci). These are in addition to the Light Cones already in the store, not replacing them.

System Improvements

The new Fate's Atlas system will gives players the ability to look at a strict timeline of events in the story and gain a proper understanding of when certain missions happened in relation to each other. This includes main story missions, compansion missions, and plot-critical side missions.

Players will be able to designate 3 support characters instead of just 1. The related Starfaring Companions section is also being bumped up from 3 to 5.

When levelling Relics, you can now allocate materials to reach specific level thresholds automatically.

The Relic Recommendations feature on characters has been improved to give greater understanding for users and make it easier to swap between sets. Relic filtering has also been improved.
