a lot of his experience shaped who he was as a teen!! he was a bit of a black sheep n would alw get into tons of trouble like tw underage drinking and drug use n it was all rlly j his own way of trying to get his father's attention!! it seemed like those were the only times his dad ever acknowledged his existence even tho it was usually j 2 express his disappointment

meanwhile his obnoxiously overachieving older bro is taken under daddi-o's wing when he comes of age, even starts 2 intern @ cynet n this pushes hansol to clean up his act!! ofc given his track record his dad is Not goin 2 award him the same internship @ cynet so he ends up trying to prove himself in other ways aka scoring deals, funding startups w his sizeable pocket money, buying out said startups when it shows promise!! he's also a bit of a gambler n even got the rights to revel mayb ab 1y ago in a moderately high-stakes poker games so uh... revel peeps say hi 2 ur absentee owner ♡ also has a ton of body mods to help him cheat in these poker games aka cyberaudio 2 b able to pick up change in tone aka if the person is lying n cyberoptics which helps him read hidden cards!! i'll update his body mods page someday rip

ofc despite all his efforts, none of these r big enough to impress his dad so he goes higher!!! word spreads ab his 'talent' @ the game n this leads to his invitation to play a v v high-stakes poker game w the big boys aka dad's competitors friends!! it's to the point that they don't dabble in cash anymore so this is rlly The Game that would get him his father's attn if he won so he rlly goes all in!! all of the jin family members get a small share of cynet to ensure that the company stays in the family and ultimately overpowers non-relative shareholders in big decisions, n bc hansol is positive he's gna win ( bc he's cheating lol ) he bets his share of cynet eek

ends up LOSING bc it turns out they were cheating too but !! he only knows they're cheating bc he's cheating so can u imagine how that argument is goin 2 go down : )) so yeah cynet is so super impt 2 his family n his dad was absolutely livid to find out that hansol gambled his share away n chalked it up 2 his 'delinquent activities' being so bad 2 the point where it's not only detrimental 2 himself but 2 his family!!! anw 2 regain that cynet share that hansol lost, his dad reports him to the authorities for cheating ( dad obv found out ab his mods bc whose credit card do u think he's usin to install em ) n pulls some strings to get him kicked tf out of astra

so yeah now he's here!! it's been 3 months since n he's still trying to prove himself, this time 2 prove 2 his dad that he's a better businessman than his dad will ever be n the first step is 2 get himself back on astra!! of interest one of his current ventures is to gentrify the betting ring @ the nightrunners races n j make it more organised / official but understandably the nightrunners want their own representative runnin these bets so yeah this means hansol is tryna officially become a nightrunner

personality wise i'd say he's v cunning, likes to think he's more like his dad than his brother is bc he can be p cutthroat and he knows a good deal when he sees one ( n honestly it's true it's prob why his dad loathes him extra ) n he takes a lot of pride in it!! ( yeah he's got a capital D for daddy issues )

also has a bit of a one-track mind so it's like if it's related 2 wtv business venture he's focused on then he'll care 2 the point of obsession n micromanaging but if it's not a priority then he will literally pretend it doesn't exist!! what this means espc socially is if ur someone who's eg a nightrunner he'll be v present 2 u but if ur eg working @ revel he literally could not give less of a shit u prob won't even recognise him that's how absent he is

he can be really charming when he wants to be but honestly it's j part of the game, v wolf of wall street villain coded, has a predatory instinct @ pursuing wealth n will stop at nothing rlly

this is also bad but in line w bein raised by androids n just not respecting ansan at all it can sometimes feel like he's treating ansan as sorta his playground n by extension he doesn't rlly treat a lot of ppl from ansan like real humans n this may sometimes be sorta alluded to in j how he talks or the things he does......... but yeah this sorta goes back 2 his stuff w the nightrunners, like j not respecting their races n stuff n j seeing it as a business opportunity but idk!! mayb w more time in ansan he'll have a good character arc n learn 2 care for things

err as alw i've rambled on waaay too much so if uve made it this far i wanna personally thank u ♡ also below r some plots 2 get us started w the brainstormin!!

since he's p hyperfocused on the nightrunners rn i feel like @ nightrunners there'd b plenty of opportunities 4 positive n negative interactions!! mayb he's tricked u w his charm n u think he genuinely loves racing n shit teehee or ur sus ab his motivations n ur sleepin w one eye open when he's around idk!! i'd also love a nightrunner who's a friend of his ( who he probably approached when he heard ab the existence of these races ) who queued him in that nightrunners only want their own people runnin these bets, which gives him the bright idea 2 become a nightrunner!!

did i mention he loves a good gamble <333 anyone who's a gambling fiend urself pls step right up!!! he also prob places bets on fighters @ the underground so if ur muse is a fighter mayb he places a bet on u!! or against u!! hansol is also not above cheatin so imagine he approaches u n tells u to lose on purpose or smth n he'll give u money in return....

ben and poe...but i don't think this surprises anyone now. some people might wanna thump me for saying they share some similarities: children of the resistance; so shared history (childhood friends if you're me), tempers, flyboys, stubborn and determined, competitive, huge hearts and sm more. they just happen to be fighting on different sides of the war, which only makes things all the more delicious to me. i just think theirs is an intriguing dynamic that should have been explored more in the sequels. but alas...the mouse is a hater.

HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE.

HELLLLOOOO HOOIII YEAAAH . ok . hi its me!!! (they/them) really hyped for this omg ive been losing my mind waiting for opening day and here we are!! i bring with me 2 muses bc im wild and sexy like that. this is nam doyun a level one baby and enhanced boi. (i also have senior agent yang daesu, aka helios).

doyun is a chaotic gremlin with anger issues and a strong desire to grow stronger. he’s been with the agency (seaside) since him and his twin brother (nam dojoon) were like... 7 or 8. and an agent since 18. his enhancement is telekinesis and he’s good with small light objects. the heavier an object the more it hurts him to use. when he gets really angry or emotional then his powers tend to errupt badly (flinging something big). he’s generally a nice kid but his prickly personality gets in the way of that soft heart (cactus) . he will fight you!! especially if you bad talk his brother!! more about him ( here and here )

Ok so i know i have been missing for like 2 days.... But i have a really good explenation, you know how i mentioned that my mother was trying to convince my therapist that i am suicidal and threw myslef off of those stairs... So she told my while we were getting into the car that she was taking me to see the doc for a check up on my leg and so she pulls up to the hospital all chill. Like super nice tells me to get into a wheelchair because its like a super long walk to the doc and boom she rolls me into the phyc ward..... I was like TF? And she books me in againts my will telling them that im a suicide concern.

The nurse looked at me and was like suuuurrrreeee, booked me and took me to the room. When my 'personal nurse' walked in she was all like the regular nurse asked me to come check on you and find out what really happened. So long story short they call my therapist and she cleared me and called CPS. They did the little inverstagation, no proof of neglect or abuse so i was returned home....

But i read that your mom was being nasty to you so i am so sorry you dont deserve that, you are appreciated, loved and respected no matter what she says❤️. Have you been taking care of yourself? Did you drink some water? Did you enjoy your valentines day?

1. What was your first impression of the roleplay community on Tumblr? And what’s your impression of it now?

I honestly don’t remember what my first impression was? It was so long ago and I think I was just in the DC comics fandom. I wanna say it was mostly welcoming but there was a clear hierarchy of what rpers rped with who (aka they had standards and ohgod i was terrible at it so i don’t blame them for not rping with me?) My impression is that you’re gonna get different receptions based on your fandom and every fandom has its hookups, not even considering the whole HC/mainstream acceptance of whats-what in a fandom. Getting into a new fandom is terrifying af.

6. What are your thoughts on the current roleplay trends on here right now?

I REALLY wanna try to do a pinned post thing, but I don’t know how? I like that a lot of blogs are getting super simple and minimalistic? Like before the more complex a blog the better it was- which is sort of a shallow concept but lbr often times a nice blog theme kinda gives you a hint about how serious an rper is. but i’m glad its simplifying now for ease, visibility and just accessibility. i used to get sooo lost on people’s blogs trying to find pages.

7. What is the one trend you miss the most that’s no longer popular or seen as much as it was before?

only for the sake of ease for me? the old 100x100 icons. i know the thing is now is like 60x60 and honestly i do like it better because its not quite so distracting as larger icons and its only made to hint at expression (relying on icons to carry the emotion of a thread is such a bad thing) but dear lordddd making icons is just a pain and its easy to copy & past 100x100s.

11. What made you start wanting to roleplay?

a friend on deviantart got me into it? prior to that i just wrote fanfic and drew and they were like hey rp with me??? and i was just....”what’s that?”. its been mostly cool ever since?

first impression: ohthankgod they get me. because guys i only have so much energy and spoons and attention span. i cannot do just open to everyone i’m sorry. mental health safety rail here.

send me an ask, like a starter or hmu in the ims- its that simple. mostly though i need good mun-to mun communication? i love plot heavy stuff and if its just an occasionally ask here and there then i won’t be as involved as you may like so just come talk to me? i don’t bite and generally i always ship the ship so come at me folks.

i don’t have anything specific? generally darker threads? i used to go pretty dark, but i have drawn a line and also i’m older so i think i’m in a better mental health state and in knowing whats cool and not? so yeah gimme darker twisted stuff like toxic relationships, torture, mental manipulation...ect. if me and my rp partner are good with communication i think i can rp just about anything? other things just having more action threads? i miss the action of writing like with dc comic muses sometimes? not that my muse was ever action tendant, but there were moments i miss it?

nothing is coming to mind at the moment except one line about luka which is sorta an obvious statement but i thought of it the other day and i’m like tHI SIS IT. I love it all, but lbr.....its angst. angst gives you more room for feels and growth. pain is an excellent stimulator for darkness and light. you grow or you fall and honestly its fantastic to see which way your muse leans into.

ok so josh (im pretty sure only his parents call him joshil) was born in canada and is an only child from v cool parents. none of them actually were canadian;; his mother is a v white english lady and his father, a gujarati first gen american, but they were living in vancouver because of their job (dad was a uni professor and mom was a high school teacher). he did pick up some french at school but they moved to england when he was twelve and that’s basically where he remembers his childhood from

josh wasn’t raised privileged (quite the opposite to be real), his family had a v simple lifestyle that he still practises til this day, like minimalism and vegetarianism,,, he had a nice time in england but high school was not a nice period. is high school good... like ever?! nope. he got a scholarship at a private conservative school his mom taught at so of course,,. he was the art kid who was p much forced to adjust to the most “normal” ways of expression and who believed because he was shit at maths he wasn’t going to amount to something--- but he still managed to graduate but got his ass out of there the second he could....

off he went to illinois, managing to get a scholarship at university of chicago.... there was something about turning written words and stories into some sort of visual explanation, being also kind of an interpretation, so he specialised in illustration and landed a gig right after graduation thanK SHIVA which meant yo boi wasn’t gonna be homeless and all alone in america like his parents thought. they worried a lot about him yes but he understood it was from a place of love, and who was he kiddin. he wasn’t gonna get rich from his art and thankfully he wasn’t doin it for the money

he sketches mostly but he also paints. there’s something about the smell of the paint and the brushes against a canvas that gets him... josh has a v carefree way of working where he just goes with the flow and however he’s feeling. he wishes he can gather good enough work to maybe organize an exhibition eventually.. that would be sick

so yeah. dude’s always drawing everywhere if he has a pencil or a pen in hand. has paint smudges on his shirts and on his fingers.. if he’s ever late to meeting u he’s most likely sitting down somewhere sketching the sun set before rushing to find you... personality wise he’s kinda timid so he listens way more than he speaks, but if they’re close, he loves chatting about the most random topics like.... cats or dogs? ok but why? why not a chinchilla ???

it takes FOREVER to get him angry and even then he works out his negative emotions v internally so for most people he’s v chill and kinda naive ? he’s got this romantic and positive side to him that sees the good in everyone and everything, being thankful for the lessons or whatever...,,, he’s got screwed over by a ex tho, they dated for a year and he found out the other guy was married and had a family in other state. so now he’s kinda in this spot where he can’t see one single positive of this shit show he’s been through, fucking heartbreak over someone so dishonest and basically not being able to go through with this “everything has a positive side” shit. so now he’s in this sort of dichotomy where he’s doubting a lot of things about himself and his own personality and beliefs......

but ok this was too long alread ? he chill he probably had loads of friends bc he talks to literally everyone on the damn dumbway or in the coffee shop about euthanasia being justified or how global warming is some fucked up stuff,... lmao i also have a little [[connection]] page with a few plots here and there but pls im v v open to brainstorming or any other idea that you’d see fitting !!
