✨: Margie has not attended many parties or balls due to being stuck at home so often in her past. But once the opportunity arises, she pulls out her mother's old ballgown. Part of her wonders if it makes her look old-timey, but everyone else admires her beauty.
💝: Akio has always taken grooming himself to be the most beautiful kitsune very seriously. And he takes it even more seriously when the love of his life wants to go to a fancy outing. He adores his regal reds and golds, and patterning on his kimono is very important to him. Hopefully, his love will adore it too.

Warning: detailed descriptions of everyone's murders.
???: ...
???: Huh..
???: "W-where.. am I?.."
???: "This place looks.. scary.."
???: Ah-
???: Oh, you're awake. Good, good..
???: How are you feeling? Does anything hurt?
???: "T-that's one pretty guy, haha.."
???: A-ah, no, no, I'm fine. Don't worry about me.
???: W-wait, actually, w-where are we?
???: A-and, um.. Who are.. you?
???: .. Ah, right, I forgot to introduce myself.
???: Kuroki Hinode. Nice to meet you.
???: N-nice to meet you too..
???: A-ah, my name is-
Hinode: Don't worry. I already know.
???: Huh?..
???: H-hey, where the hell am I?
???: What is this place? God, it looks like-
Hinode: A prison? That's because it is one.
Hinode: Welcome to the Milgram prison. You two have been invited to watch the third trial end.
Hinode: You two should be honored, it's a pretty big deal, haha.
???: .. Milgram.. prison?..
Hinode: Come on, we should hurry up. It's better if we don't keep the guys in charge waiting.
???: I-I'm not going anywhere with you-
Hinode: Eiji-san. Please, for your own safety, follow me.
Eiji: How do you know my name-
Hinode: I know you both very well.
(the door opens)
(sounds of footsteps)
???: W-whoa..
???: This is.. even scarier than I imagined..
Eiji: You mentioned the third trial, right?
Eiji: That means someone is going to get.. judged?
Hinode: Haha, yes. Of course, someone like you, Eiji-san, would understand how the trials work very well.
Eiji: ...
Hinode: These are your seats. Please sit down.
???: O-okay!..
(sounds of someone sitting down)
???: U-um, Kuroki-san-
Hinode: Just Hinode is fine.
???: O-okay, um..
???: Hinode-san.. who exactly are you?
???: Do you.. work here?
???: Ah, maybe you're going to be the judge?
Eiji: He certainly doesn't look the part.
Hinode: Haha, no, no, I'm not like that at all.
Hinode: .. I'm.. quite the opposite, actually.
???: Wh-
Hinode: Anyway, Miki-san, Eiji-san, are you prepared to see the ones who are going to be judged tonight?
Miki: "He really does know my name.."
Eiji: Huh? So that means it's a trial for multiple people?..
Hinode: Yeah, kind of.
Hinode: Except.. their verdicts are already known.
Hinode: But they don't know what is going to happen to them.
Hinode: I'm sure they're excited to find out, haha.
Hinode: Please, prepare yourselves. You might see some.. familiar faces.
(sounds of multiple doors opening and people's footsteps)
Hinode: All ten prisoners are ready to be judged. Please, have fun watching them.
Eiji: !..
Eiji: *stands up* I-is that-
Miki: .. T-this boy-
Hinode: I told you their faces might look familiar.
Eiji: .. How did he end up here?..
Eiji: O-of course he deserved to go to prison, but-
Miki: ...
Miki: (in a lower voice) What is my brother doing here, Hinode-san?
Hinode: I'm afraid my answer will take too long-
Miki: I'm not going anywhere.
Hinode: ...
Hinode: *sighs* Then I think you should hear it from someone else and not from me.
(sounds of screens turning on)
???: Hello, hello, everyone! I hope you're ready for the end of the Third Trial.
???: Don't you feel excited? I sure do.
???: Now, before we proceed. Right now, the prisoners aren't able to speak. They can still hear and understand everything very well.
???: Just look at everyone's face expressions! I wish I was here to see them in person..
Miki: W-why can't they speak though-
???: We just made a few.. adjustments. Please, don't think about it too much.
???: We wouldn't want the prisoners to start crying and screaming while we discuss their verdicts, would we?
???: Of course, it would be a beautiful sight, but we have to keep this serious.
???: All of them will be able to talk after their verdicts are announced though. I wonder what they will say..
Eiji: Hold on. Who even are you?
Eiji: Are you, like.. The one in charge?
???: Me?...
???: Hm.. I guess you can call me..
???: The goddess of this place?..
Miki: ...
???: Does that ring a bell, Miki-chan?
Miki: .. P-please don't act so familiar with me.
???: Haha, sorry, sorry. You're just so cute!
???: Anyway, yeah, I guess you can see me as the one in charge of this place.
???: If you need a name to call me by..
???: My name is Miguro Rana. Please, just call me Rana.
Rana: Ah, take a look at the second screen. This is my assistant, Arisu.
Rana: He's a pretty boy, isn't he? A shy one though. He doesn't talk much.
Eiji: Why can we see his face, but we can't see yours?
Rana: Because I'm shy too! And who knows, what if I show you all my face and you all will instantly fall in love with me? That wouldn't be good at all!
Rana: Arisu, can you say something so that we know you're here with us right now and not in your silly inner world?
Arisu: ...
Arisu: I-it's a pleasure to finally see you all, everyone.
Akio: !..
Rana: Now, here's our plan for tonight. First, we're going to discuss everyone's crimes. I'm sure the guards have figured most of the stuff out, but there could be some details they don't know yet. Gotta make sure we're all on the same page, right?
Eiji: Guards?..
Rana: After we talk about each crime, the prisoner's verdict will be announced. The prisoner will be able to talk after they find out their verdict. We will also talk about what will happen to all prisoners as well.
Rana: As for the final part..
Rana: Hehe, well, you all just have to wait and see.
Rana: Now, Arisu, can you do me a favor and start with the first prisoner's crime? You had a chance to see him personally, so..
Arisu: *nods*
Arisu: Prisoner 001, Miyagawa Akio. 16 years old, a high school student.
Eiji: So it's that guy with brown hair.. Looks kind of boring.
Eiji: So all of them are criminals, huh? Even that one kid?
Miki: ...
Hinode: They're not just criminals. All of them are murderers. So they all committed the worst crime of all.
Eiji: Whoa..
Eiji: Heh.. They all deserve the worst punishment of all then-
Miki: Eiji-san, right?
Eiji: What do you want?
Miki: Please take back what you just said.
Eiji: Look, this is just my opinion. Also, don't you think that all murderers and criminals in general should rot-
Miki: My brother is not a murderer.
Eiji: W-what does that have to do with your brother?!
Miki: My brother is not a murderer, my brother is not a murderer, my brother is not-
Hinode: Calm down, Miki-san. I assure you, your brother will be fine.
Hinode: .. You really saved him.
Miki: W-what was that?
Arisu: His victim was Kitami Chise, his classmate.
Arisu: Akio-san recently started attending an elite high school thanks to his parents' hard work. He immediately tried to impress his classmates and teachers with his intelligence and he was successful. He quickly started to become very popular.
Arisu: And he also quickly became friends with his another classmate, Saito Arata, who also was the headmaster's son.
Akio: ...
Arisu: Akio-san was very happy with his reputation until a new student showed up. That student was Chise-san.
Arisu: Chise-san started to become more and more popular which Akio-san did not like. Akio-san didn't understand why someone like Chise-san could be more loved and respected by his classmates, considering that he had not the best grades, wasn't the most intelligent student there and it overall seemed like he "didn't deserve to attend that school".
Arisu: Akio-san had no idea that Chise-san was loved because of his kindness and him wanting his classmates to stop being so hard on themselves and start taking care of themselves.
Arisu: Akio-san started to get tired of Chise-san's popularity and he did have thoughts about possibly killing him, but he wasn't sure about it at first. After a certain event, however, he finally decided that Chise-san deserved to die.
Arisu: Interestingly enough, he still didn't want to kill Chise-san in a brutal and painful way. Even though he was okay with torturing him.
Arisu: Akio-san decided on a murder method, which was supposed to be hanging.
Arisu: One day, Akio-san and Arata-san invited Chise-san to hang out with them after classes. He gladly agreed, thinking that they have finally accepted them as their friend.
Arisu: They all wanted to go to Arata's house and spend the night there since his parents weren't home and they could do whatever they wanted.
Arisu: It was rather late when they arrived and then, Arata-san knocked Chise-san out and carried him to the basement where Chise-san would later die.
Arisu: When Chise-san finally woke up, he already had a rope tied around his neck. Not enough to strangle him, but just enough to let him know that he's not going to make it out alive.
Arisu: Akio-san started to torture him by asking him all kinds of questions, making fun of Chise-san's "low intelligence" and said that they'll kill him if he keeps getting the questions wrong.
Arisu: When Chise-san failed too many times, Akio-san ordered Arata-san to move the stool Chise-san was standing on.
Arisu: Arata-san did exactly that, but then, something went horribly wrong.
Arisu: Chise-san's neck was supposed to break. It didn't.
Arisu: Chise-san died of strangulation. He tried to get the rope off his neck, but it didn't work.
Arisu: He was supposed to die instantly, but.. some time definitely passed before he finally died.
Arisu: Akio-san was in charge of the planning meanwhile Arata-san was in charge of the execution.
Arisu: That means, Arata-san was the one responsible for killing Chise-san in the wrong way.
Arisu: However, Akio-san was the one who came up with the murder in the first place. Arata-san was definitely the one who encouraged it, but Akio-san was brought here because if it wasn't for him acting up on his thoughts, Chise-san would most likely still be alive.
Rana: Though honestly, with a guy like Arata around, I can't imagine Chise's life being that long.
Arisu: Ahem.
Arisu: Miyagawa Akio-san's verdict combination is..
Arisu: Guilty, Innocent, Innocent.
Arisu: According to this Milgram's verdict system, he will be able to come back home safely with all his memories intact while other people forget about his crime and his victim's existence.
Arisu: Congratulations, Akio-san. You may speak now.
Akio: ...
(sound of Akio falling on his knees)
Akio: H-how did they..
Akio: How did they.. know..
Akio: *crying* How did they know.. all of this..
Akio: .. I-I have a question.
Arisu: What is it, Akio-san?
Akio: .. Will.. my accomplice also.. forget about my crime?
Arisu: Yes. Even though he was involved, he is not the Milgram prisoner.
Arisu: He will not remember anything about the murder you two committed and he will not remember Chise-san ever existing.
Akio: ...
Akio: Haha..
Akio: .. How will I be able to look him in the eyes after that..
Eiji: .. That guy is literally evil.
Eiji: Doing all that just because his classmate was more popular than him?
Eiji: Those guards are way too nice. They forgave him twice, when I wouldn't be able to forgive him even once.
Hinode: ...
Miki: W-well, at least it looks like he feels guilty about it. Who knows, maybe he will change.
Miki: ".. Why is that pink-haired girl looking at me like that?"
Rana: Now, let's talk about the second prisoner, shall we?
Rana: Arisu, would you like to tell us about her crime as well? I promise, I'll be the one who talks about the next two prisoners.
Arisu: .. Of course.
Arisu: Prisoner 002, Hanasaki Aimi-san. 16 years old, a high school student.
Eiji: Another high school student?! What's wrong with kids these days..
Miki: You don't look that old yourself, Eiji-san.
Eiji: I-I'm still older than them though. I was supposed to go to college this year..
Eiji: .. W-what stopped me from going to college?..
Eiji: Why can't I remember-
Arisu: Her victim was Hanasaki Misao, her older brother, and she was also related to the deaths of her classmates.
Miki: "S-she killed both her brother AND her classmates??"
Arisu: Hanasaki Aimi-san comes from quite a rich family. She was used to getting whatever she wanted, so when she wasn't able to make friends at her new school, she felt.. confused.
Arisu: She continued to try to make her classmates like her. She bought them gifts, she was as kind to them as she could be, but she still couldn't buy their friendship.
Arisu: Aimi-san.. wasn't happy about it at all.
Arisu: And one day, Aimi-san snapped.
Arisu: She started acting more rude, she started breaking down in front of her classmates, she started to blame them for everything, she tried everything to make them feel bad for her and force them to become her friends.
Arisu: Her classmates.. did not like it.
Arisu: At first they were scared, but then they started to fight back. Some of the things they did were valid and understandable, but some of the things they did were.. a bit too cruel.
Arisu: We're not here to decide if Aimi-san really was a victim of bullying or she was just being too.. dramatic.
Arisu: But Aimi-san's older brother, Misao-san, certainly did see her as a victim of bullying.
Arisu: Misao-san was tired of Aimi-san's classmates treating her this way. He was so tired that he thought it would be better if they all just died.
Arisu: So he decided to take care of them. Just like a good older brother would.
Arisu: Aimi-san's family owned a popular amusement park. Lately some of the rides there started to behave in a strange way and they definitely needed to be fixed.
Arisu: Aimi-san's parents, however, refused to solve this problem.
Rana: Even though they were so rich, they still didn't want to close the park even for a short period of time..
Rana: Heh, I feel like they treated their kids the same way. Seriously, why couldn't they send both of them to therapy?
Arisu: Misao-san knew about it and he paid the workers so that they continued to act like everything was fine. Then he told Aimi-san about his plan and.. she agreed.
Arisu: Aimi-san did not like her brother, but she also did not like her classmates. And if she had to choose, she would prefer to get rid of her classmates first.
Arisu: Aimi-san invited her classmates to that park and they agreed, forgetting about how much they hated Aimi-san and how scared they were of her.
Arisu: Aimi-san also made sure to tell them that the rides that weren't working properly were the most fun ones.
Arisu: .. Aimi-san's classmates died on those rides.
Arisu: Some of them fell off, some of them got crushed, some of them lived longer than the others, but eventually ended up dying due to blood loss.
Arisu: It was.. a tragedy.
Arisu: After all of them died, Misao-san went to comfort his sister who found her classmates' corpses too scary to look at, and at first she accepted the hug..
Arisu: But then she stabbed him with a knife Misao-san gave her to protect herself or kill some of the classmates herself if she wanted to.
Arisu: After that, Aimi-san left Misao-san to bleed out. She was able to leave the park in the middle of the chaos.
Rana: That girl must've been completely covered in blood after all of this.. How was she able to just walk around like that?
Arisu: Hanasaki Aimi-san's verdict combination is..
Arisu: Innocent, Innocent, Guilty.
Arisu: According to this Milgram's verdict system, she will be punished either physically or psychologically and she will be sent back home after that. She will not get any help or treatment.
Arisu: Congratulations, Aimi-san. You may speak now.
Miki: "H-her expression was completely emotionless the whole time.. She just kept staring at me.."
Aimi: ...
Aimi: Will I.. get punished after everyone's verdicts get revealed?
Arisu: Correct.
Aimi: .. I-I see. That's good, haha..
Aimi: .. Is it okay if I spend some time with the prisoners before my punishment?
Aimi: I-I know that I will miss them a lot when I go home, so I just-
Arisu: No.
Aimi: ...
Aimi: .. The fuck you mean by that?
Arisu: You are not allowed to spend time with the prisoners after everyone's verdicts get revealed. You will be punished right after we're done with all the prisoners.
Aimi: ...
Aimi: N-no..
Aimi: B-but I thought-
Aimi: .. I HATE YOU!
Aimi: I HATE YOU, I HATE YOU, AND MOST OF ALL, I HATE YOU, MIKI!
Miki: M-me?!
Aimi: DON'T ACT LIKE YOU DON'T REMEMBER ME!
Miki: BUT I LITERALLY DON'T EVEN KNOW YOU!
Aimi: ...
Aimi: .. H-haha..
Akio: .. What were you planning, Hanasaki?
Aimi: Huh?
Akio: Admit it, you didn't just want to hang out with us because we're friends or something like that.
Akio: What did you want from us?
Aimi: .. I thought..
Aimi: .. M-maybe it'd be possible for us to..
Aimi: Watch our videos together.. somehow..
Aimi: Like maybe the people in charge would allow us..
Aimi: A-and I hoped that watching our murders happen right in front of our eyes would..
Aimi: Drive us all.. to the point of-
Aimi: Ahaha...
Aimi: Come on, wouldn't it be better if we all just died-
(sound of Aimi getting slapped)
Akio: .. You're insane.
Akio: How would that even work?! Did you even think about the possibility of us not being able to watch our videos?!
Akio: A-and why did you even want us all to die?..
Aimi: ...
Aimi:Because you refused to be friends with me.
Aimi: You all either ignored me or felt sorry for me, but you haven't even tried to actually become friends with me.
Aimi: .. Except you, Akio-kun.
Aimi: Akio-kun.. you still like me, right?
Akio: L-leave me alone.
Akio: Don't even.. look at me.
Akio: You stopped talking to me right after I started to get better.
Akio: You're.. disgusting.
Aimi: ...
Rana: Oh no, what a sad little breakup.
Rana: Anyway, time for me to talk about these prisoners' horrible, horrible sins! Yay!
Eiji: .. How old is this "goddess", by the way?
Miki: "Why did that girl know my name?.."
Miki: ".. Hinode-san is very quiet right now.."
Miki: "I wonder if he knows more than he's letting on-"
Rana: Okayyy, so who's the next one?
Rana: Oh, right, right, that guy.
Rana: Prisoner 003, Ishizu Shun. 24 years old, a fast food worker.
Rana: Hmm, where do I even start? This guy has been kinda weird since the very beginning.
Rana: So, Shun had only one victim.. Well, that's what the guards thought at first.
Rana: But reality was more complicated than that. Though honestly, I actually think it makes more sense than him just having only one victim.
Rana: Shun's victims were Inaba Hina, his so-called "ex-girlfriend" and Egawa Jouhei, her "new boyfriend".
Rana: Shun always dreamed of having a girlfriend, but he knew that most women would never be interested in him. And honestly, maybe he'd be fine with it at least for some time. At least he has dating sims, right?
Rana: Well, his parents had a different opinion.
Rana: Shun got into a really bad argument with his parents one day and they said that he should "find someone already". They wanted Shun to have a family, they wanted grandchildren already since they knew that their own child is a failure, so maybe at least his children will be good enough for them?
Rana: Shun, who was already so sick and tired of his parents, panicked and.. decided to lie.
Rana: He lied and said that he already has a girlfriend. Well.. more like "had".
Rana: His parents told them to "get her back" so that they could believe him. Shun had to act quick.
Rana: Shun's memory started to get worse and worse with every single day and it was already bad, so him having to lie to his parents and all the stress just completely.. ruined it. Shun was getting closer and closer to becoming a shell of his former self-
Rana: Ah.. well, maybe he never had his own "self" to begin with. Maybe a new "self" started to form instead.
Rana: And then, one night he got another call from his mother and he got so angry that he just threw his phone on the ground and he was about to go home, but then..
Rana: Hina picked up his phone and gave it to him.
Rana: Shun became obsessed with Hina. He needed to know everything about her. He needed to know everything about the only person who treated him like a normal human being, even if it was a basic act of kindness and nothing more.
Rana: To Hina, that act of kindness was something she'd forget tomorrow. To Shun, that act of kindness was basically Hina confessing her love for him.
Rana: Shun found more information about her. He found out her name, age, occupation, even the names of family members. To do that, he had to do what he turned out to be surprisingly good at, which was lying.
Rana: Shun lied and pretended to be Hina's ex-boyfriend who just returned to this town and wanted to see her again.
Rana: People liked him a lot when he acted like that. They trusted him enough to tell her everything about Hina, having no idea that they were telling all that to a random person who just happened to be very interested in Hina.
Rana: No wonder Shun eventually started to believe he really was Hina's ex-boyfriend.
Rana: I mean, people trusted him so much and for some reason Hina didn't talk to him anymore even though she helped him that night..
Rana: But aside from all Hina's personal info, he also found out something he did not like at all.
Rana: .. Hina started dating someone new.
Rana: That someone was Egawa Jouhei, a guy who acted cold and rude on the outside, but actually genuinely cared about Hina and even though they argued a lot, they really did love each other.
Rana: Of course, Shun couldn't just let that guy treat Hina like that, even if they weren't dating anymore!
Rana: So eventually, Shun decided that the only way he can protect Hina is by simply.. eliminating his rival.
Rana: Shun stole Hina's phone while he was stalking her and texted Jouhei and lied again and claimed to be Hina herself this time. He said that Hina went to visit a friend and asked him to go to that friend's apartment building to get her.
Rana: That friend's apartment building was the same building where Shun lived.
Rana: Shun was getting ready to meet his rival in person, but he was so focused on Jouhei that he forgot one thing.
Rana: Hina actually could go to that building because her grandma lived there. And while she had no friends living there, she could go to visit her grandma.
Rana: And Shun just turned out to be particularly unlucky that day because Hina actually did go to that building and his lie turned out to be partially true. Who knows, maybe if he remembered that Hina was supposed to come there, he would've ended up only with one victim. So much stalking and trying to get to know her better and for what?
Rana: Shun.. well, he had a breakdown.
Rana: He started to beg Hina to come back to him and he promised that he will treat her better than Jouhei.
Rana: And Hina reacted like a normal person. She didn't recognize him and got scared.
Rana: And again, Shun had to act quick. He knocked Jouhei out, and while Hina was too terrified to speak, he forced her to walk into his apartment.
Rana: He knew he shouldn't waste any of his time, so he went to the kitchen, grabbed a knife and stabbed Jouhei while he was unconscious. He also still tried to convince Hina that they really used to be a couple, but when Shun realized that Hina really does not know him..
Rana: He stabbed her with the same knife in a state of pure rage and despair.
Rana: That apartment building wasn't.. the best place. Most of the people who lived there either came back there only closer to nighttime or were just as weird as Shun.
Rana: Or, they were as old as Hina's grandma and their hearing wasn't that good.
Rana: So even if Hina did scream, nobody either heard it or cared enough to check what was going on.
Rana: And after Shun was done..
Rana: He did not get rid of the bodies. He was not in a mental state to care about it. If he got rid of them, he'd probably lose his mind completely, if he hasn't already.
Rana: And he also knew that most of the people there wouldn't care about it as well. If they did notice anything, like the smell, he could just come up with a lie.
Rana: Since again, it turned out that he's actually very good at telling those.
Rana: Wow, that was a long one! I wonder if the guards were able to figure all of this stuff out. I have a feeling his videos made his crime look a bit different.
Rana: Ishizu Shun's verdict combination is..
Rana: Innocent, Guilty, Guilty.
Rana: According to this Milgram's verdict system, he will be able to come back to the outside world safely, but him being a murderer will become known to everyone and it will be up to the outside world to judge him.
Rana: Yay, yay, congrats, Shun, you're going home! You can speak now, by the way!
Shun: ...
Shun: .. Ehehe..
Shun: I have.. the same verdict combination.. as Eiko-san..
Shun: Ehehe.. It's like we're matching..
Eiji: "Eiko-san"? Who the hell is that? His new girlfriend or something?
Eiji: Oh, that blonde girl just gave me a weird look.
Miki: "Do we.. no, it can't be.."
Miki: "D-do these prisoners know who we are?.."
Miki: "I-if that's the case.. How do they know us?"
Miki: "If that woman looked at Eiji-san after he mentioned "Eiko-san", then.."
Miki: "Maybe that woman is Eiko-san?.."
Shun: Hey, Eiko-san, does that mean we'll be going home together? I'm so happy!..
Shun: We'll get married right after that, right? I-I don't care if people will find out about our crimes, I just want to be with you! I want to spend the rest of my life with you!
Shun: A-and then we'll have kids and my parents will finally leave me alone, haha..
Shun: Eiko-san?.. Why are you so quiet?..
Shun: Haha, come on, you don't have to act so shy with me-
Arisu: Shun-san, Eiko-san is currently not able to speak. Her verdict hasn't been announced yet.
Shun: W-who cares about what will happen to us when we leave this place! Everyone here already knows their verdicts, that guard told us everything!
Shun: I want to hear Eiko-san's voice again. Please, can I hear her voice again?..
Arisu: Your verdicts have consequences and you have the right to know about those consequences-
Shun: I DON'T CARE ABOUT THOSE CONSEQUENCES, JUST GIVE EIKO-SAN BACK TO ME!
Shun: .. Eiko-san..
Shun: .. Why are you still looking at that guy?..
Shun: Come on, I'm right here. I'm so much better than him, right?
Eiko: ...
Shun: ...
Shun: .. Why is it always the mean guys?..
Shun: I-I actually try to be nice to women, u-unlike Jouhei a-and..
Shun: W-what was that guard's name?..
Shun: E-Eiji-
Eiji: !
Eiji: Did he just-
Miki: .. Hinode-san, do these prisoners know us?
Hinode: ...
Miki: Hinode-san, please answer me-
Rana: Okayyyy, time for the fourth prisoner's crime! Man, this lady is a cruel one.
Rana: Prisoner 004, Chiba Naomi. 30 years old, an elementary school teacher.
Rana: *gasps* Even elementary school teachers can kill?! Don't tell me she killed her own student-
Rana: Oh, right, that's exactly what happened.
Rana: Her victim was Akasaki Tao, her own student. He was only 10 years old.
Rana: Naomi is a weird woman. She's 30 years old, but she still feels like a kid who needs to do everything she can to make her parents happy.
Rana: Her mother in particular.
Rana: Her murder is a simple one, so talking about it won't take much time.
Rana: Tao was a very mean kid. He treated everyone horribly, both his classmates and his teachers. He especially hated Naomi..
Rana: Well, at least he acted like it.
Rana: And Naomi just couldn't take it, because Tao liked to say things that she hated to hear because she knew that Tao was right. Tao never hesitated to call her out. He knew just how much Naomi doesn't want to be hated and that Naomi's intentions weren't always the best and sometimes she was kind to her students just because it felt nice to be admired by someone.
Rana: Sure, it probably doesn't sound that serious, but this kept happening almost every single day. No wonder it ended up driving Naomi insane.
Rana: One evening, Naomi was about to leave school and her mother decided to pay her a visit. She did that quite often, to check up on Naomi's mental state. She actually didn't trust Naomi that much and she was sure she will end up hurting at least one of her students one day. And.. she turned out to be right all along.
Rana: They had another argument and that one was particularly bad and Naomi couldn't even reply to her mother anymore and she just walked to her car and tried to leave as soon as she could. It also started raining.
Rana: It kept raining and it was starting to get harder for Naomi to drive and she couldn't see the road that well.
Rana: And then, she saw a silhouette. That silhouette was Tao, who was on the way home, but he actually wasn't in that much of a hurry because he wanted to make his parents worry about him more.
Rana: And even though Naomi did see a silhouette right in front of her and it seemed kind of familiar.. She just kept going.
Rana: It's hard to say if she did it on purpose or it was an accident. Her brain was not working properly at all when it happened.
Rana: When it did happen, Naomi walked out of the car for a moment, saw that it was Tao, noticed that there wasn't anyone else around and then.. simply went right back into the car and left.
Rana: She just couldn't do anything at that moment. She couldn't force herself to care about him.
Rana: Which is a shame. Who knows, maybe he didn't actually die instantly and he still could be saved-
Arisu: I want to ask you not to lie when discussing the prisoners' murders.
Arisu: Tao-san did, in fact, die instantly when Naomi-san ran him over. She could not do anything about it.
Arisu: Please, don't say such things just to make prisoners feel even more guilty.
Arisu: Or.. make their situations sound more ambiguous.
Rana: Haha, sorry, sorry, Arisu, I won't do it anymore.
Rana: I just.. wanted to make this more fun, that's all.
Rana: Anyway, after that, not many people felt sorry for Tao, especially his classmates who were bullied by him and hated the way he treated Naomi.
Rana: His parents also turned out to be abusive and they tried to frame everything as if it was Tao's fault and that he was just not careful enough.
Rana: And to make Naomi's situation worse, his parents themselves talked to her because she was his teacher and because he actually liked her a lot, and they let her read his diary to learn more about him.
Rana: And this is how Naomi found out that the child she hated so much actually admired her and they also had so much in common.
Rana: Chiba Naomi's verdict combination is...
Rana: Innocent, Guilty, Guilty.
Rana: According to this Milgram's verdict system, she will be able to come back to the outside world safely, but her being a murderer will become known to everyone and it will be up to the outside world to judge her.
Rana: Congrats, Naomi! You can speak now.
Naomi: ...
Eiji: This woman.. killed a child? And she's a teacher too?
Eiji: Just how bad are their murders going to get?..
Eiji: Though considering that the next prisoner is.. him..
Eiji: I have a feeling it's just going to get worse.
Miki: ".. I hope this woman stayed away from Marito this whole time."
Rana: Come on, Naomi, don't you have anything to say? Aren't you excited to go back home?
Naomi: ...
Naomi: .. Everyone knows I'm the one who killed him anyway.
Naomi: I won't get punished for it because my parents won't allow it.
Naomi: .. Haha..
Naomi: .. Don't worry. I'll make sure I'll still get punished in the end.
Naomi: I accept the guards' judgement. They were just doing their job.
Miki: Hold on, what is she going to do-
Rana: Anyway, Arisu, wanna talk about the next pair of prisoners? These two are sure interesting.
Arisu: As you wish.
Arisu: Prisoner 005, Sanada Kei. 25 years old, a photographer.
Eiji: ...
Kei: ...
Miki: Eiji-san, does that man look familiar to you?
Eiji: .. Why do you care?
Miki: Well, one of those prisoners is my little brother, so I thought that maybe you and me have the same.. problem.
Miki: I'm sure you must be very worried about your-
Eiji: Again, why do you care?
Eiji: This is none of your business. Leave me alone. And stop assuming things, it's not like I'm your friend or something.
Miki: ...
Miki: I-I understand. Sorry.
Arisu: Sanada Kei is one of the most unique cases here. He was already involved in some definitely not legal activities before his actual murder happened, but we want to remind everyone here that Kei-san was brought to Milgram because of his murder and not what he did before.
Arisu: His victims were Takagi Rinka, Inagaki Norika, Hatano Mioka, Nagayama Sayaka and Mizuno Kae, all women in their twenties.
Arisu: However, those "not legal activities" Kei-san was involved in are very important if you want to understand his crime better, so I think I should mention them.
Arisu: Kei-san worked for his father's friend, who made Kei-san take photos of people who went through all kinds of torture. The photos were later sold to people who might have interest in them for one reason or another.
Arisu: Some of those people were criminals as well, meanwhile some of those people simply.. took pleasure in seeing the results of those acts.
Arisu: Kei-san did not accept this job because of financial problems, but rather because he was genuinely interested in it and he enjoyed it more than his own employer.
Arisu: But that wasn't the only secret Kei-san had to keep.
Arisu: His other secret was his relationship with Mikazuki Ruka, a 21 year old unemployed man he.. kind of kidnapped.
Arisu: The "kidnapping" was consensual, and Ruka-san actually wanted Kei-san to keep him locked up, and even when Kei-san tortured him in various ways, he went along with it.
Arisu: The nature of their relationship was ambiguous, but Kei-san believed that he was truly in love with Ruka-san, and..
Arisu: Even though Kei-san had a feeling that his friends won't approve their relationship, he still wanted to introduce Ruka-san to them.
Arisu: That.. did not go well.
Arisu: Kei-san's friends were shocked, disgusted, angry.. The only reason why police wasn't involved was because Kei-san threatened them not to tell anyone else about it.
Arisu: After that, Kei-san completely stopped talking to his friend group and tried to focus on Ruka-san and his work. He still had a strong fear that something could happen to Ruka-san while he was away though.
Arisu: Kei-san tried to convince himself that his friends reacted like that because they had something against him dating a man, but even Ruka-san himself knew and tried to explain to Kei-san that his sexuality wasn't the problem, but rather the fact that Kei-san didn't bother to cover up any signs of torture that Ruka-san went through.
Arisu: Kei-san didn't want to admit it, and he wanted to believe that his way of showing love was "perfect" and that he wasn't "weird" or "scary".
Arisu: Shortly after that, Kei-san came up with a "revenge plan" and decided to invite his friends' girlfriends to his house. He knew that those women were always more interested in him rather than his friends, and he knew that they will gladly come to pay him a visit.
Arisu: Obviously, he wasn't planning to let them get out of this alive.
Arisu: Everything went fine at first, but eventually, one of the five women found out about one of Kei-san's secrets, which was his other job. Kei-san rarely had guests, so he never tried that hard to hide the photos he had saved from his job.
Arisu: Naturally, one of the women was able to find the photos and.. her reaction was easy to predict.
Arisu: All women panicked when they saw the photos, and they thought that Kei-san will do something similar to them, and.. They weren't exactly wrong.
Arisu: They knew that they had to protect themselves, so they suddenly attacked Kei-san, who still didn't know that they found the photos, and tried to do something, anything, to make sure he couldn't hurt them or even touch them in any way.
Arisu: .. It escalated very quickly, and soon enough, their attempts at self-defense turned into something Kei-san initially planned to do to them: torture.
Arisu: Some of the women wanted Kei-san to "feel the pain his victims had to go through", some of them believed that he deserved it and that it was true justice, meanwhile some of them just enjoyed seeing Kei-san in this state.
Arisu: One of the women, Kae-san, didn't approve it though, but she didn't do anything to stop them and simply watched. It's hard to say if she was simply afraid or she secretly enjoyed it as well.
Arisu: At some point, Kei-san couldn't take it anymore, but he didn't know what he could do to stop them. He wasn't that physically strong, and they definitely outnumbered him.
Arisu: .. And that's when Ruka-san finally came out of the room he was hiding in and went to check up on Kei-san. And the women saw him.
Arisu: They were too shocked to do anything, so Kei-san immediately took advantage of their reaction.
Arisu: His first victim was Norika-san, who he stabbed repeatedly with a knife she tortured him with.
Arisu: After that, the women started to run away, and he noticed how slow Sayaka-san was compared to all the others and she wasn't able to leave the room as fast as them, so he smothered her with a pillow that was lying on the floor.
Arisu: Kei-san was bleeding, and he was in a terrible condition, but he still decided to chase after the others and Ruka-san helped him out.
Arisu: Ruka-san was the one who gave him the rope Kei-san was able to choke Rinka-san with, and he also was the one who broke a mirror in one of the rooms, so that Kei-san could use the shards to leave many cuts on Mioka-san's body and leave her to bleed out.
Arisu: Finally, together they locked Kae-san up in a bathroom and she got drowned in a bathtub that was already full when they got there, most likely because Ruka-san was the one who prepared it. She didn't resist.
Arisu: All of Kei-san's friends' girlfriends were killed in one single night. They didn't tell their boyfriends where they were going for obvious reasons, so even if they suspected Kei-san, they needed real evidence to prove that he was behind the disappearances.
Arisu: Sanada Kei's verdict combination is..
Arisu: Guilty, Innocent, Guilty.
Arisu: According to this Milgram's verdict system, he will be able to come back to the outside world safely, but-
Arisu: .. Ah. My apologies. I forgot that Kei-san is a special case in more ways than one.
Arisu: According to this Milgram's verdict system, he should..
Arisu: Become the executioner.
Eiji: Wh-
Arisu: Congratulations, Kei-san. You may speak now.
Kei: .. Hey, what was that just now?
Kei: B-become the executioner?.. What does that mean?
Arisu: The.. ahem, the Goddess of this Milgram thinks you are the most fitting prisoner for this job.
Rana: Yup, that's right! I don't wanna let Kei leave, he's way too fun!
Rana: Like, you don't care about the others at all. You killed so many women in just one night. Your only "true love" was a guy you tortured every single day.
Rana: All prisoners here suck, but I feel like you just weren't made for the outside world.
Rana: You were made for Milgram.
Rana: You will be the one in charge of punishing the prisoners who got certain verdict combinations and..
Rana: Who knows, maybe you'll punish a guard or two as well.
Miki: "A guard or two?.."
Miki: Wait, but what did the guards do-
Eiji: NO!
Eiji: You know you can't do that, right? This-
Eiji: He's literally a murderer! Why are you letting him be the one in charge of punishing others?!
Eiji: If you need anyone, you can just ask me-
Rana: We already kinda did that, Eiji. It didn't work as planned.
Eiji: .. Huh?
Kei: .. Haha..
Eiji: .. Kei..
Eiji: You're not going to accept this job, right? Like, you're going to go back to the outside world and you're going to accept your punishment, right?
Eiji: KEI, LOOK AT ME!
Kei: .. I don't know, Eiji.
Kei: I love Ruka, I really do. I would do anything to see him again.
Kei: And I really do like my job.. Both of them, of course, haha.
Kei: And I don't want to hurt the other prisoners in any way, since honestly, some of them have become.. really important to me, no matter what that girl said about me "not caring about the others" or whatever.
Kei: .. But also, I don't wanna get punished again.
Kei: You know what being tortured by those girls felt like? It sucked.
Eiji: Of course I know, do you think I forgot everything you did to me-
Kei: I really thought I was going to die that night, haha. Ruka really saved me back there.
Kei: So, Eiji..
Kei: This is an offer a disgusting criminal and a dirty coward like me could never refuse.
Kei: And if you're one of the guards I have to punish..
Kei: Haha, don't worry, I'll take very good care of you.

hhhhh the fact that linagram 1 is so close to ending but most of the characters don't have voice claims/hcs is so so sad. and that's literally just bc im very picky when it comes to voices and bc my brain can't imagine more masc voices at all for some reason so when it comes to my male ocs i just imagine them all with either more androgynous voices or very high-pitched male voices... i wish i knew more vas with voices like that but i know like two or three 😭😭

Penny for your thoughts?
T2 linagram prisoners let's gooooo @linagram
Akio
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Okay, look, I didn't think voting him guilty for the first trial would be so bad until...the second trial happened. I'm sorryyy 😭😭😭 Its not funny anymore, he deserves a break after his injuries and everything.
Oh, but it seems his crime isn't as simple as I thought it was. 👀 Or rather, his dynamic with Arata and his victim. Can't wait to learn more! I really like the idea of Akio being friends with his victim instead of just being jealous of him from afar. Adds flavor, you know? ✨
Aimi
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So... What even is going on with her crime? 😭 It seems as though her accomplice killed her classmates, and then she killed him? Her animosity towards Haku is kinda scary honestly, since she's usually so friendly. Its funny to imagine though, because he would not care. I nearly put a heart over "a beast unleashed" because of this, but Aimi hasn't actually done anything aggressive in linagram.
Still can't get over her design and aesthetic. I want her gender so bad. 💖 The popping balloons in her t2 MV were so cool, and it did remind me of Yuno. Can't wait to see her development in t3. 👀
Shun
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After what he did to Kei, he's moved from "makes me uneasy" to "actively dislike" in my linagram tier list. Still can't get over the first half of his t2 MV that featured him with so many women. I really thought he had rizz. Turns out it was just an otome game. Its funny to think about that section of the MV being real, but only because they fell in love with an alter of his. His memory problems came from you, so now that you've learned that you're a system, what does this mean for him? 🤣 Guess I'll still headcanon him having DID.
Naomi
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Her design is really cute and I do like her conflicted feelings towards her victim because things are rarely so straightforward. 🥲 Her calm demeanor but constant references of inner anger makes me nervous. Adding on to the fact that she's one of the prisoners that would kill again... Ma'am, please go to therapy.
Kei
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kei is that kind of character that you just fall more in love with the more you learn about him. Then again, he hasn't actually revealed a lot about his crime but his backstory instead. His relationship with Eiji will never not be * incoherent sobbing*. I eagerly await more crumbs on Mr and Mrs Sanada as well! 🤲
I didn't think his dynamic with Shun and Eiko could get any worse, but I was wrong. I WAS SO WRONG. Isn't this the man that was supposed to be the most violent prisoner? What happened to him?? Please get him out of there. Somebody save him. #freethesanadas
Eiko
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'll be honest, she's the character that I forget about the most. Which is kind of weird considering she has the most gruesome murder method in undercover, but it might be a metaphor. Her relationship with her mother is interesting, so I'm looking forward to that.
I do love her design though, especially since she looks so much like Iris, hehe. Her style is great, quite alike Yui's.
Asahi
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rin 🤝 Asahi: Getting more sympathetic as milgram continues. They're the true siblings here. 🤣
Asahi is such a menace, but his insults actually work now that he's had enough time to get a read on everybody. Its funny, I'm down for it. His demeanor towards Miki is really cute! At the end of the day, I want them to get better, which is probably impossible given the nature of milgram, but the sentiment is there. They're a little messed up, but they seem like the characters most likely to be able to live a normal, somewhat happy life if they got out of milgram.
Yurika
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Still don't know who her victims are, but all will be revealed in due time. Her relationship with her manager is sad but mostly funny. 😂 I'm not sure how to feel about kinning her the most out of all your ocs like the manga hobby, the struggle of being independent hhhhh
Her ability to resort to violence so easily is kind of interesting now that I think about it, considering one of her themes in struggling with independence. You wouldn't expect her to be the violent type after reading most of what we know about her, but it works somehow.
Riku
Tumblr media Tumblr media
His t1 designnn 💖💖💖 Eh, I'm not sure if I like his half and half hairstyle for t2. But the part about the white reminding him of his friend was 👌👌 I can't remember what made him choose those colours, but what if...subconsciously, he chose it because it reminded him of his friend? Just kidding! ...Unless? 👀
His complicated relationship with his friend reminds me of Kalim and Jamil in a way, haha. Have I said this before? I wonder if Riku liked his friend at some point, or at least appreciated something about him. His friend didn't seem to have been a good place either. They both should have gone to therapy together smh. 😔
Reina
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Its not really that my eyes have been opened, just that she dropped the serial killer act and now I like her a lot more for it. She's also the only prisoner who's bothering to figure out what's going on milgram, so slay queen. I also love her haircut!! I had a similar one earlier this year, and I got a number of compliments so... :D We twinned.
Ahaha, so her victim is her brother... I figured, but I thought her friends were the ones mainly responsible for the murder. Was it more of an accident? Did something go out of hand? Or is Reina just blaming herself because what else can she do? 🥲
Eiji
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yeah, I understand that he is the more unforgiving guard and he did give the t1 prisoners horrible punishments, but he doesn't deserve this 😭😭😭 Why must things keep happening to him? What is wrong with him and his brother? /pos
Also, I'm still curious about his past. 👀 Kei has been dropping a lot of crumbs, but I still need Eiji to fill in the gaps, haha. What do you mean 10yo Eiji had to protect Kei? Wasn't Kei described to be violent in t1? The sanada parents toooo #freethesanadas
Miki
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Her relationship with Asahi is so 💖💖 But other than that, I don't have much to say because she's a pretty cut and dry character. Not that there's anything wrong with that! There's just not a lot of mystery surrounding her anymore compared to her coworkers.
I'm also not sure about her savior complex anymore. 🤔 It doesn't appear that much, and her aggressiveness towards some of the prisoners shows that she's either angrier than she lets on or is a bit of a hypocrite imo. I dunno, let's see what she does for t3! :D
Hiyuu
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He's only been here for like, 1 and a half vds but I love him already. Being more of a morally grey guard will do it for me. He's just an eepy lil boi. Can't wait to see what he'll do in t3! But his hinted punishment methods are uh 😰 His mask is really scary too.

Warning: detailed descriptions of everyone's murders.
Rana: Okayyyy! Kei, just wait until we're done with all the verdicts and then you'll get to do your job.
Kei: Hm.. If I have to punish certain prisoners..
Kei: Does that mean I'll have to punish Aimi as well?
Rana: Nope, I'll take care of her.
Rana: You know, Aimi.. You're a very cute girl, but..
Rana:That idea of yours was quite stupid.
Rana: You really thought making everyone watch their videos would give you the result you wanted?
Rana: *laughs* Well, I'm going to be honest with you. You actually were kinda right.
Aimi: !
Aimi: D-does that mean-
Rana: Yep. If you guys got to watch your videos, your brains simply wouldn't be able to handle it and.. I dunno, your heads would just explode, I guess.
Miki: "What videos are they talking about?.."
Aimi: T-then-
Rana: No, they still aren't allowed to watch them. Honestly, the fact that you came up with all of that..
Rana: Makes me a bit mad.
Rana: Like hey, why did you think you'd be allowed to watch your videos? Why did you think that we'll be so kind that we'll let you watch all of them with everyone?
Rana: Please, get those thoughts out of your head. They're not doing you any good.
Aimi: .. Why did you mention my idea anyway?
Aimi: You were talking about my punishment. How is my plan related to all that?
Rana: Hehe. You'll see.
Arisu: .. Is it okay for me to start talking about Yoshioka Eiko-san's murder now?
Rana: Oh, right, right! Sorry about that, Arisu. Please go ahead.
Eiko: ...
Arisu: Prisoner 006, Yoshioka Eiko. 23 years old, a university student and a part-time model.
Arisu: Her victim was Gatou Takeru, her boyfriend..
Arisu: Or, I guess "ex-boyfriend" would be more accurate.
Arisu: Eiko-san and Takeru-san met online and they realized just how much they have in common, though Eiko-san herself believes that Takeru-san was actually lying about his interests, hoping that it will help him to become closer with Eiko-san.
Arisu: They did end up falling in love with each other, however, Takeru-san quickly realized that Eiko-san was.. more affectionate than he thought she would be.
Arisu: He wanted to break up with her, but he felt too afraid, and he was also convinced that Eiko-san wouldn't take it well and that she will even try to hurt him in some way if he decides to put an end to their relationship.
Arisu: And that's why Takeru-san came up with.. a very unique plan.
Arisu: He decided to fake his own death just so that he won't have to actually break up with Eiko-san while still making her leave him alone.
Rana: *laughs*
Arisu: ...
Rana: Sorry, sorry.. This is so funny. Men would rather fake their own death than actually talk about their feelings.
Arisu: .. May I continue?
Rana: Oh, yeah, yeah, go on.
Arisu: Takeru-san stopped using his main account and started using his private one more instead and asked his friends to make it look like something tragic happened to him and he ended up seriously injured or simply dead.
Arisu: Eiko-san was shocked when she saw that Takeru-san completely abandoned his account because he was the kind of person who was obsessed with social media, and she didn't know any information about him that could help her find out what happened.
Arisu: When Eiko-san finally was able to contact his friends, she almost ended up believing his lies, but one of them couldn't take it anymore and gave her the access to Takeru-san's private account which showed that he was still using social media very often and he didn't go anywhere.
Arisu: And when Eiko-san realized what actually happened.. She was very.. very angry about it.
Arisu: Eiko-san searched for more information about Takeru-san and eventually, she was able to find his full name and address. She found his house and when Takeru-san opened the door, he saw his ex-girlfriend who was there definitely not because she wanted to reconcile and because she missed him.
Arisu: Takeru-san begged Eiko-san for forgiveness and he knew that Eiko-san came here to end his life. When he realized that no matter how hard he tries, she will still kill him in the end, he revealed what he actually thought about all of this and said that he didn't think his lie would affect her so badly and that "it wasn't even a big deal".
Rana: Wow, what a piece of-
Arisu: In a fit of rage, Eiko-san used the "equipment" she brought to kill Takeru-san in a very brutal fashion: by dismembering him. She believed that it was the most fitting murder method for him and that he fully deserved it.
Rana: Woah, she sounds like a woman you just can't mess with! Unless being killed by her sounds fun to you.
Arisu: After she was done, Eiko-san felt very overwhelmed and she ended up losing consciousness. When she woke up, she was already at her house and she received a message from her mother that implied Eiko-san's parents cleaned up after her and brought her there.
Arisu: Eiko-san never knew what her parents do for a living, but she had a feeling that it wasn't something legal, so she wasn't surprised.
Rana: Man, her parents are so nice!
Rana: It'd be a shame if something happened to them.
Eiko: !
Rana: Arisu, hurry up with the verdicts, I think this girl has a lot to say.
Arisu: Yoshioka Eiko's verdict combination is..
Arisu: Innocent, Guilty, Guilty.
Arisu: According to this Milgram's verdict system, she should be able to come back home safely, but her being a murderer will become known to everyone and it will be up to the outside world to judge her.
Arisu: Congratulations, Eiko-san. You may speak now.
Eiko: *breathing heavily*
Shun: E-eiko-san?.. A-are you okay-
Eiko: .. Are my parents working for you two?
Shun: Eiko-san, I-I don't think you should just ask-
Rana: Sure were.
Eiko: .. Were?
Rana: Hehe.
Eiko: .. Tell me everything. Now.
Rana: Or what? Are you going to try to dismember a goddess?
Arisu: Eiko-san, allow me to explain.
Arisu: Your parents started to work for us very recently and they were supposed to help us out with these three trials specifically. If everything went according to plan, they would be allowed to continue working here.
Rana: They even went as far as sacrificing their own children just to prove their loyalty to us!
Eiko: !
Arisu: .. T-they did.
Eiko: .. You didn't have to make Naruha a guard. He was only 14.
Arisu: We had no choice. Your brother wasn't a murderer, but you were. Of course we'd have to make you a prisoner and him-
Rana: Hey, just to remind you, our guards are-
Arisu: Please, do not interrupt me.
Rana: Ooh, scary.
Eiko: .. What happened to my parents?
Arisu: They realized that what they've done was a mistake and tried to come up with a way to save you.
Arisu: They.. I guess they wanted to rebel against us.
Arisu: As for the consequences..
Arisu: My sincerest apologies, Eiko-san.
Eiko: ...
Eiko: When did it happen?
Arisu:After the second trial.
Eiko: ...
Rana: *laughs* How are you feeling, Eiko? Your parents literally got killed while you were too busy worrying about your crush's broken arm!
Shun: B-but I never got my arm broken-
Rana: Oh, and about your brother being one of the guards and killing himself just so that he doesn't have to judge you, of course.
Eiko: .. Haha..
Eiji: "Now that I think about it, my arm does feel a bit.. weird."
Eiji: ".. Must be a coincidence."
Eiko: .. I see.
Eiko: Well, guess I have no choice but to accept any punishment the outside world will decide is best for me, haha.
Eiko: I do wish Eiji-kun was the one who punished me instead though..
Shun: .. Eiko-san, c-can you not talk about Eiji-san right now?
Eiko: Shun, your girlfriend just found out her parents are dead. Can you not act like your clingy and jealous self right now?
Eiko: .. And if Naruha is also dead.. Then that means..
Eiko: Ahaha.. I don't..
Eiko: I-I don't have anyone else.. left..
Shun: ...
Shun: .. Do you want a hug?
Eiko: .. That would be nice.
Miki: "So if I understood correctly, this prisoner's little brother died?.."
Miki: "And her parents too.."
Miki: ".. I feel bad for her. Maybe we could get along."
Miki:"Wait, the prisoner standing next to her is-"
Miki: !
Rana: Well that was sad. Anyway, time for me to talk about the next pair!
Rana: Prisoner 007, Yano Asahi!
Miki: "What did she just call him?!"
Miki: U-um, s-sorry, but I think this prisoner's name is actually-
Rana: Ugh, can you just let me do my job? Please?
Miki: B-but I know this prisoner! H-he's my-
Miki: "He's looking right at me! He still remembers me!"
Miki: "Haha.. I'm just so glad that he's still alive.."
Miki: "I will get you out of here, Marito. I'm sure you've never committed any crime-"
Rana: Anyway. 11 years old, an elementary school student.
Rana: Oh, his story is so, so sad!
Rana: Little Asahi over here actually comes from a very toxic and abusive household.
Rana: His biological parents named him Andou Marito.. Well, his biological father never actually bothered to call him by his name and his biological mother died shortly after giving birth to him.
Rana: So his lovely older sister was the only one who actually called him by this name. Just to let him know that he was still worth something. That he deserved to have a name even though his existence itself killed his own mother.
Miki: "Don't.. Don't say that.."
Miki: "Honestly, I'm grateful that Marito's birth.. killed her.."
Miki: "Ahaha... Our life would be so much worse if she was still around-"
Rana: His older sister was strong enough to handle all of their father's abuse, but Asahi didn't want to go through that for who knows how long.
Rana: So when both siblings were out on a walk one day, Asahi waited for his sister to get distracted and.. he ran away.
Miki: ".. H-he didn't wait."
Miki: "H-he couldn't.. I-it was my fault, I should've paid more attention-"
Rana: Pretty selfish of him, isn't it? They could try to run away together, but he decided to do it alone. Did he want his sister to continue going through that abuse?
Miki: .. Shut up.
Rana: So when Asahi-
Miki: I TOLD YOU TO SHUT UP!
Miki: YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HIM!
Miki: I'm literally his sister, I should be the one talking about his past, not you-
Rana: Then go on. Please, tell us the truth about Asahi's murder.
Miki: Huh?...
Miki:M-murder?..
Rana: But you can't. Because you don't remember anything.
Rana: Too bad. I'm sure you telling us his story would be so interesting.
Rana: Come on, Miki. Don't you want to protect your brother? Don't you want to defend his honor?
Miki: .. H-he can't be a murderer.
Miki: Even if he is.. I would forgive him as many times as I had to.
Miki: So please-
(sounds of Hinode standing up)
Hinode: .. I would like to tell everyone the story of Marito-san's murder.
Miki: !
Rana: Ooh, interesting.
Miki: B-but how do you know-
Hinode: Miki-san. I think both you and Eiji-san already know that I know more than you two.
Miki: ...
Eiji: I knew that he's suspicious-
Miki: .. If you really know something.. Please, protect him for me.
Hinode:I will protect him just like his older sister would, even though I don't have nearly as much love in my heart as you do.
(sounds of Hinode's footsteps)
Hinode: I will keep it short. Marito-san was adopted by Yano Satsuki-san and her husband, though "adopted" is not exactly the correct word.
Hinode: Satsuki-san wasn't able to have a child of her own, so I'm assuming she wanted Marito-san to.. fill the void inside of her.
Hinode: She gave him a new name and started treating him like her own son, however, even though Satsuki-san's intentions were pure, she didn't know how to take care of children and what children need from their parents.
Hinode: And the most important thing that children need is obviously love. And Satsuki-san wasn't able to show it in a way that Marito-san wanted her to.
Hinode: Marito-san couldn't take it anymore and got angry at her. After that, Satsuki-san started saying strange things which scared Marito-san and made him think that Satsuki-san will try to get rid of him, since she started saying that adopting him was a bad idea and that she will never be a good mother.
Hinode: Marito-san knew that Satsuki-san had quite a lot of health problems and he also knew that she was allergic. Deathly allergic.
Hinode: I don't know all the details, but Marito-san was able to secretly add something she was allergic to into her food. Satsuki-san ate it and..
Hinode: .. This is the truth, Miki-san. This is what actually happened.
Miki: ...
(sounds of Miki falling on the floor and sobbing)
Eiji: H-hey! Come on, he's your brother, but-
Hinode: .. Please, announce his verdict.
Rana: Thanks for doing my job, I guess, but seriously, this was so boring!
Rana: You had to make it more emotional! More interesting! More fun!
Hinode: Trials aren't supposed to be fun.
Rana: They are. At least in this place.
Rana: Anyway. Yano Asahi's verdict combination is..
Miki: "Please, please, if those guards voted him guilty at least once-"
Rana: Innocent, Innocent, Innocent.
Rana: According to the verdict system, he should be able to come back home safely and everyone will forget about his crime and his victim's existence, including him.
Rana: He will also get a special reward.
Rana: Congrats, Asahi! You can speak to your lovely older sister now.
Asahi: MIKI-NEE!
Miki: .. M.. Marito..
Asahi: LET ME GO! I NEED TO TALK TO HER!
Rana: Can't do that. Not until the trial is officially over.
Asahi: MIKI-NEE, I WANT TO GO HOME! I WANT TO GO HOME WITH YOU!
Miki: W-we will! We will get out of here and we will go home a-and-
Eiji: But what about.. the reward?
Rana: Hehe, we will announce it later, after we're done with everyone.
Rana: I'm surprised that this kid got so many innocent verdicts though..
Rana: The guards must really care about him a lot..
Rana: Or they just didn't want to make a certain guard sad.
Hinode: ...
Eiji: ...
Rana: Now, the next prisoner!
Rana: Prisoner 008, Maruyama Yurika. 21 years old, a maid cafe worker and a university student.
Yurika: ...
Rana: Oh, she's one of the interesting ones, that's for sure!
Rana: And the guards have been so cruel to her.. So mean..
Eiji: .. When will we meet the guards, by the way?
Eiji: I mean.. They have to be somewhere around here, right?
Rana: ...
Rana: Ah, so you still don't understand..
Rana: Well, it's okay. I'm sure you will soon.
Eiji: Can you stop talking in riddles for one second-
Rana: So, Yurika ended up in quite a horrible situation. Yurika grew up in a pretty rich and successful family, which resulted in her becoming.. a bit spoiled.
Rana: Her parents got sick of her being so dependent on them and decided that it was time for her to do something on her own and basically kicked her out, forcing her to grow up as fast as she possibly could.
Rana: Some time passed and Yurika was able to find at least some kind of job, even if it meant simply working at a maid cafe. Oh, if her parents saw that, they wouldn't shut up about how she needs to find a more "serious" job..
Rana: Even though Yurika was always so passionate about anime, manga and anything associated with it, that job was nothing but torture and dealing with customers sometimes could be.. hard.
Rana: But she was okay with going through all that! Because now she had someone who could always protect her..
Rana: Kanasawa Takame was the woman who owned the cafe and she was always there to help Yurika with anything she had trouble with.
Rana: And Yurika became very, very dependent on her.
Rana: One could say she got a little crush on her own boss, hehe.
Rana: But simply working there obviously didn't give her enough money to live on her own while also attending university.
Rana: So Yurika secretly had another job..
Rana: There was a reason why Takame owned a maid cafe in the first place. She used it to hide her other job and she offered one to Yurika as well..
Rana: And that job involved organ harvesting.
Rana: And they often used the customers' organs too.
Rana: Yurika found the job gross and scary.. But she was okay with it as long as that meant she could earn more money and more of Takame's attention.
Rana: But some people from her university got a bit curious about Yurika's job.. Or jobs.
Rana: Yurika was a criminal even before her murder, it's true, but she was usually just Takame's assistant and nothing more. As for her actual murder..
Rana: Her victims were Amari Karin and Amari Rion. Two siblings that wanted to know more about what Yurika did for a living.
Rana: Well, Karin was the one who was curious about it, meanwhile Rion was just there to support her and make sure Karin didn't end up in danger. Too bad Rion was the one who got killed first..
Rana: Both siblings were ready to do anything that could help them learn more about Yurika, including stalking.
Rana: And of course, eventually, Yurika snapped and decided to fight back.
Rana: When the siblings found out about her real job, they were shocked. Karin couldn't understand how Yurika could do something like that "just for money"..
Rana: And this was the last drop for Yurika.
Rana: At first, she simply knocked them out and then called Takame for help. When Takame got there, she calmed Yurika down and told her that she did the right thing and that they should get what they deserve.
Rana: "They wanted to know more about your job, right? How about they see you in action then?"
Yurika: !
Rana: Karin and Rion both got killed that night. Hopefully someone found a good way to use their organs, haha.
Rana: Anyway. Maruyama Yurika's verdict combination is..
Rana: Guilty, Guilty, Guilty.
Rana: According to this Milgram's verdict system, she should receive a death penalty.
Rana: Congrats, Yurika! What do you think about your verdict-
Yurika: MIKI, I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!
Miki: "S-she knows my-"
Yurika: YOU'RE OUR SAVIOR, HUH?! IS THIS YOUR IDEA OF SAVING PEOPLE?!
Yurika: OR I'M JUST SO EVIL THAT I DON'T DESERVE TO BE SAVED BY YOU?!
Yurika: I JUST WANTED TO LIVE! I JUST WANTED TO GO BACK TO MY NORMAL, PEACEFUL LIFE! I JUST WANTED TO SURVIVE!
Yurika: IF YOU WERE IN THE SAME SITUATION, YOU WOULD ALSO-
Yurika: ...
Rana: Okay, you're a bit too loud. I think we should turn your voice off again.
Eiji: How can they just.. take their ability to speak?..
Eiji: This is not a normal prison, I know, but just..
Eiji: How can a place like this even exist?..
Miki: .. You're smiling, Eiji-san.
Eiji: Huh? W-well, of course I'm smiling, that means this is a place where all criminals get what they-
Miki: I don't think Maruyama-san deserved to die.
Miki: Whoever did that to her.. is very cruel.
Asahi: M-Miki-nee..
Rana: Since Yurika is going to be executed, of course, Kei will be the one to take care of it.
Rana: You still have some time to get ready, Kei.
Kei: Haha, sure..
Yurika: !
Kei: Yurika, I know what you're trying to say.
Kei: Both of us helped Reina with her plan. We were basically a team for some time.
Kei: I know I should feel sorry for you, and I do, but..
Kei: If you were in the same situation, you would also-
Rana: Arisu, do you want to talk about the next pair?
Arisu: .. If that means both the prisoners and the victims will get the respect they deserve, then sure.
Rana: Hmm? What was that? You're saying our prisoners deserve to be respected?
Rana: You're so silly.. Even innocent prisoners don't deserve any respect-
Arisu: Prisoner 009, Kuroki Riku. 17 years old, a high school student.
Hinode: ...
Riku: ...
Arisu: His victim was Shiozaki Yue, his childhood friend.
Arisu: Riku-san and Yue-san's relationship wasn't healthy for them from the very start. Riku-san never actually wanted to be friends with him and instead was forced to by his and Yue-san's parents who wanted Yue-san to have at least one friend since unfortunately, nobody was interested in even simply talking to him.
Arisu: Riku-san agreed, having no idea that there was a good reason why Yue-san had not the best reputation among other children.
Arisu: As the years went by, their friendship started to become more and more destructive for both of them. Riku-san was able to become popular at his school, make more friends, create a music group, he even dated someone at some point.
Arisu: But Yue-san was always alone.
Arisu: Riku-san's mental health started to get worse because of family-related problems, because no matter how popular he was, it was never enough for him, and.. because of Yue-san.
Arisu: Yue-san was very dependent on Riku-san and hoped that Riku-san will "fix" him in some way. According to Riku-san himself, it felt like Yue-san saw him as a "therapist" and not a friend.
Arisu: Yue-san also encouraged Riku-san's unhealthy coping mechanisms and was actually the one who inspired him to cope with his issues in those ways.
Arisu: Yue-san wanted to die, just like Riku-san did, but he said that he will die only with Riku-san by his side.
Arisu: .. Riku-san had a different idea in mind.
Arisu: Riku-san always knew that he was the popular one while Yue-san was always forgotten and ignored. So he decided to use his reputation to make people hate Yue-san and bully him to the point of driving him to suicide.
Arisu: Everything was according to plan, and then, Riku-san left a note for Yue-san, saying that he wants to end his life as well, and that he will be waiting for him at the school rooftop.
Arisu: Riku-san really was there, but he wasn't alone. His friends and bandmates were there as well.
Arisu: And instead of ending his life with Yue-san by his side, Riku-san and his friends told Yue-san to jump off the rooftop.
Rana: So cruel!.. Is this what kids are like these days??
Rana: Also, wait, wouldn't there be a fence or something to make it harder for Yue to jump off?
Rana: Ah, I shouldn't think too much about it.. As long as it's fun, it doesn't matter how believable the crime is!
Arisu: Yue-san didn't mind the bullying. Maybe he actually knew that it was Riku-san's idea all along.
Arisu: He even agreed to jump off, however..
Arisu: He still intended to keep his promise. He still was okay with dying, but only with Riku-san by his side.
Arisu: Yue-san even threatened Riku-san with a boxcutter, saying that he was going to stab Riku-san if he didn't jump with him, which meant that Riku-san would die either way.
Arisu: Yue-san hugged Riku-san and he was about to fall down with him, but Riku-san's friends saved him, making Yue-san fall in the process.
Arisu: Most students knew that Riku-san was somehow related to Yue-san's death, but because of how bad the victim's reputation was, they..
Arisu: They decided to turn a blind eye.
Rana: Again, these kids are so cruel.. Well, that's just what highschoolers are like, I guess.
Arisu: Kuroki Riku's verdict combination is..
Arisu: Innocent, Guilty, Guilty.
Arisu: According to this Milgram's verdict system, he should be able to come back home safely, but him being a murderer will become known to everyone and it will be up to the outside world to judge him.
Arisu: .. Riku-san, you may speak now.
Rana: Huh? No "congratulations" this time?
Riku: ...
Riku: Miki..
Miki: !
Riku: You don't.. remember anything, do you?
Miki: W-what do you mean?..
Riku: .. Heh. Just like I thought.
Riku: It was so weird to watch everyone try to speak to you or Eiji, even though Reina's plan was successful.
Riku: I guess they just thought that your memories will come back or something.
Miki: Reina's plan?..
Riku: You don't have to think about it too much.
Riku: Just..
Riku: .. I don't know. I don't know what I'm supposed to say.
Riku: Almost all of my classmates knew about it, but they didn't care.. But now everyone is going to know..
Riku: .. I don't wanna know what my Mom and Dad are going to say, haha. God, Mom is going to be devastated.
Riku: .. Maybe I can just put an end to it before it even starts-
Akio: Don't.
Riku: Huh?
Akio: What, are you thinking about killing yourself the moment you come back home?
Riku: .. What other options do you want to suggest?
Riku: And no, I don't wanna hear anything like "keep on living" from someone like you.
Riku: .. We're more similar than I thought we were.
Akio: I'll find you.
Riku: Wh-
Akio: I don't even know where you live, I wouldn't be surprised if you lived far away from me, but..
Akio: I-I'm sure I will hear about your murder on the news. At least one person will mention it. I'll hear about it somewhere.
Akio: My murder will still be kept a secret, and nobody will even remember my victim..
Akio: S-so when I hear about your murder, I'm sure I will also find out where you live, a-and I'll go there and find you.
Akio: I don't care how long it will take. M-maybe I'll ask my parents to come with me, I don't know, I'll tell them that I want to come and see a friend I met online or something like that.
Riku: .. What are you even saying-
Akio: I DON'T WANT ANYONE TO DIE BECAUSE OF ME EVER AGAIN!
Riku: !
Akio: If I.. If I knew that my plan won't work.. O-or if I knew that Arata wanted Chise to die slowly and painfully from the start..
Akio: ...
Akio: A-also.. The king has to take care of his servants, right?
Riku: ...
Riku: You.. Y-you really are stupid..
Aimi: ...
Miki: "If all of these prisoners know me.. and Eiji-san.."
Miki: "And me and Eiji-san don't have certain memories.."
Miki: "Does that mean-"
Rana: Finally, we're getting closer to the end! Ahh, I can't wait to see all the punishments..
Rana: Though I wish there were more, of course..
Arisu: .. Prisoner 010, Himura Reina. 20 years old, unemployed.
Reina: ...
Arisu: Reina-san had.. a difficult relationship with her family. She didn't want to spend time with them or see them at all, so she preferred to spend most of her time outside, participating in all kinds of activities, and most of them weren't exactly legal.
Arisu: However, Reina-san did always try her best not to injure anyone seriously or actually kill them. She also rarely did anything herself and most of the time she was giving orders.
Arisu: Her younger brother, and also her victim, Himura Neiro-san, who was only 15 years old, found out about his sister's actions and he refused to believe that she either enjoyed it or came up with everything herself. He believed that it was Reina-san's friends' fault and he didn't want to accept that Reina-san could be guilty as well.
Arisu: Neiro-san wanted to talk to Reina-san's friends about it and ask them to "leave his sister alone". He went to them when it was very late and it was very dark outside as well, which was.. not a good decision.
Rana: Haha, I guess being so rebellious runs in the family.
Miki: ".. I can guess what happened next."
Arisu: Neiro-san was very naive and he really thought that his sister's friends will listen to him, but first of all, they didn't even recognize him as Reina-san's brother since they've never seen him before. They didn't take him seriously at all and they all just laughed at him and told him to leave.
Arisu: Neiro-san didn't give up and he tried to attack them himself, which was a bad idea, since considering his age and his build, he was too weak to actually hurt them, and.. he was too weak to defend himself as well.
Arisu: Reina-san's friends only wanted to scare him away at first, but when he attacked them, they decided they had enough and..
Eiji: .. Did they really just beat the kid up?
Eiji: This.. this is insane.
Miki: .. I didn't think someone's age would matter to you that much, Eiji-san.
Eiji: Huh? What does that mean?
Eiji: W-well.. Why would they just.. do that?
Eiji: .. A-all criminals are sick. It would be nice if I could just kill them all somehow, haha..
Miki: Wouldn't that make you a criminal though?
Eiji: People like that don't deserve to live. I would be doing this world a favor if I got rid of them.
Eiji: .. Why is he the one who's allowed to do that and not me?..
Arisu: .. W-when Reina-san came back, she saw her brother's corpse on the ground. One of her friends pushed him too hard, making him accidentally hit his head against the wall.
Arisu: .. They claimed that he died instantly, but it wasn't true. They just failed to get help in time. I'm sorry, Reina-san.
Reina: !..
Eiji: W-what the hell..
Eiji: Did they.. Did they even try to call for help?
Hinode: I doubt it. They'd have to confess that they were the ones responsible or they would be suspected anyway.
Eiji: True..
Miki: .. Does that mean you see that prisoner as innocent, Eiji-san?
Eiji: Huh?
Miki: If.. If you were one of the guards and you could either vote that prisoner innocent or guilty..
Miki: .. Would you forgive her?
Eiji: .. No, of course not.
Eiji: E-even if she wasn't the one who killed her brother directly, if she wasn't a criminal from the start, this would've never happened.
Eiji: She should've been a better older sister. Even if it was indirect, she's still a murderer to me.
Miki: .. I see.
Arisu: Himura Reina's verdict combination is..
Arisu: Innocent, Innocent, Guilty.
Arisu: According to this Milgram's verdict system, she will be punished either physically or psychologically and she will be sent back home after that. She will not get any help or treatment.
Eiji: *breathes out* Good. She's not the prisoner who deserves three innocent verdicts. I'm glad that the guards realized that..
Arisu: Reina-san, you may speak now.
Reina: ...
Reina: Haha..
Reina: They did it.. They really did vote me guilty..
Reina: Ahaha..
Eiji: Is she.. okay?
Reina: Hey.. About my murder..
Reina: .. Does this mean the outside world will know I'm the one who did it? Or will they forget about my victim ever existing?
Reina: Will I.. still remember my victim?
Rana: Hey, aren't you asking too much-
Arisu: Your victim will still be remembered by everyone, Reina-san. They will know that your brother has been murdered.
Arisu: They just won't know that it was you.
Reina: ...
Arisu: You will still have all your memories, so you will also have the option to confess to your murder and receive the punishment that you think you deserve.
Arisu: Ah.. Same goes for Aimi-san as well.
Reina: .. Thank you for answering my question.
Arisu: And by the way..
Arisu: .. The guard- I mean, the guards wanted you to still remember your brother even after you leave.
Arisu: This is.. one of the reasons why the decision to vote you guilty was made.
Arisu: I hope you're satisfied with your verdict.
Reina: .. Heh. Don't worry, I am.
Rana: Ugh, this is getting boring..
Rana: Okayyyyy, everyone! And now that we're done with revealing the prisoners' verdicts, before certain prisoners get punished, could all prisoners look down at the audience, please?
Rana: Oh, uh, you can speak now, Yurika.
Akio: .. They're still there..
Aimi: Miki..
Shun: .. She's still looking at him..
Naomi: ...
Kei: Eiji, hiiiii!
Eiko: Hehe, Eiji-kun..
Asahi: MIKI-NEE, GET ME OUT OF HERE!
Yurika: All of you.. I will kill.. all of you..
Riku: ...
Reina: ...
Rana: Great! Now that you can take a nice, long look at all of the guards who worked so hard on judging you and choosing the best verdicts for you all..
Rana: It's time for you all to judge them!
Eiji and Miki: !
All prisoners: !
Hinode: ...
Eiji: We.. w-we were the guards all this time?..
Eiji: I.. I was the one who made all of these decisions?..
Miki: I had a feeling that we were the ones responsble for it, but..
Miki: Wait, does that mean that Hinode-san is also-
Hinode: Kind of. I'm kind of a guard.. But also kind of not. You'll see.
Akio: We.. We will have to judge them?
Rana: Correct! Before some of you get punished, you all get to participate in the guards' trial!
Rana: So come on, if you are still mad at them, if you want them to feel the same pain, or if you love them so much and want them to survive no matter what, go ahead and tell them about your feelings through voting!
Rana: Just say the verdicts you think they deserve out loud, and we'll make sure to remember them and count all of them when you're done.
Reina: .. This.. is interesting.
Asahi: .. G-guys?.. Y-you all are going to vote Miki-nee innocent, right?..
Asahi: .. Guys?...
Yurika: AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Yurika: GUILTY! ALL OF THEM! ALL OF THEM DESERVE TO DIE IN THE MOST CRUEL, BRUTAL, PAINFUL WAY POSSIBLE-
Shun: That means.. I can vote Eiji-san guilty?.. Haha..
Aimi: Miki.. I want you to feel what I felt when you said we're not friends..
Kei: I have to judge my own brother? How the tables have turned..
Riku: .. Hinode..
Asahi: .. Insane..
Asahi:YOU ALL ARE FUCKING INSANE!
Asahi: A-AND I EVEN TEAMED UP WITH SOME OF YOU!
Asahi: MIKI-NEE! I'M GOING TO SAVE YOU! I WON'T LET THEM VOTE YOU GUILTY!
Miki: Marito-
Asahi:LET'S GO BACK HOME TOGETHER!
Eiji: .. Kei..
Eiji: KEI, DON'T YOU DARE TO VOTE ME GUILTY!
Kei: Haha, I'll think about it.
Hinode: .. Riku, I will be okay with any decision you make.
Riku: .. Glad to hear it.
Rana: Ehehe, finally, I was starting to get so bored here..
Rana: LET THE GUARDS' TRIAL BEGIN, WITH THE PRISONERS AS THEIR JUDGES!

time to judge the prisoners let's go! the first pair is akio and aimi as always. i feel like i know what akio's trial 3 verdict is going to be but when it comes to aimi.. i'm not so sure.
Warnings for Akio's VD: descriptions of murder and violence (specifically hanging), a mention of a character throwing up.
Warnings for Akio's MV: toxic relationship themes, hanging
(sounds of footsteps)
Hinode: So.. Time to interrogate the first prisoner.
Hinode: Hopefully, I'll have enough energy to interrogate all ten of them, haha.
Miki: Well, if something happens, we can rely on Eiji-san.
Hinode: Um, Miki-san.. I'm not sure when Eiji-san will be able to join us-
Miki: But he will join us, right?
Hinode: .. Y-yeah, definitely.
Miki: So we have nothing to be worried about, right?
Miki: "I just.. hope that he will forgive me for voting Kei-san innocent."
(the door opens)
Hinode: Hello, Akio-san. I hope you're ready for your interrogation.
Hinode: How are you feeling-
Akio: I'd prefer it if we could just get started already.
Hinode: .. O-okay then.
Miki: "There's a screen on the wall.. Is Eiji-san supposed to appear on it?"
Miki: "There's probably a screen like that in every single cell then.."
(sounds of Hinode and Miki sitting down)
Miki: We'll start with a few questions that aren't related to your crime, but to your life in Milgram instead.
Miki: As we.. you know.. usually do.
Miki: What can you tell us about your condition?
Akio: .. It's fine. Definitely better than what it used to be, at least.
Akio: I can read and write again, but uh..
Akio: I still need help sometimes. My head still hurts a lot too.
Akio: .. Will I always have that scar there?
Hinode: Your injury was very serious, so I wouldn't be surprised if it did stay there for a while or even for the rest of your life.
Hinode: I'm still not sure how you got treated.. From what I've seen, that injury really was bad..
Hinode: Like.. How are you still alive?
Akio: ...
Hinode: O-oh, sorry, a weird question, I know, haha..
Akio: .. I actually don't know how much I have left.
Miki: Huh?
Akio: I mean, sure, maybe I feel better at the moment, but what if you vote me guilty again this time?
Akio: If you punish me again, I..
Akio: ...
Akio: Yeah, I'll die for sure.
Hinode: Well, we can just make your punishment more psychological in nature, right? Also, let's not assume your future verdict for now. It's better if we don't make any predictions until we learn more about your crime and watch your video.
Akio: Heh, like a punishment like that would be any better.
Akio: .. Will my body still be like this if I'm able to get out?
Akio: H-how will I explain this to my parents..
Miki: "I've never thought about this actually.."
Hinode: I'm sure that you'll be able to finally get actual help if you're able to leave. Let's be more optimistic about it.
Miki: "And we still don't know who exactly treated Miyagawa-san.."
Miki: "If this place has a doctor, shouldn't we know about them? And why didn't they help us during the second trial?"
Miki: "Oh, right."
Miki: Miyagawa-san, do you remember anything about the person who treated your injury?
Akio: Um.. I wouldn't say I was fully conscious when it happened and I couldn't open my eyes, but I think I heard someone talking.
Akio: I think it was a man's voice. Probably around, uh..
Akio: This guy's age.
Hinode: M-my name is Hinode-
Akio: Whatever.
Miki: "So, a man in his twenties.."
Miki: "It's a shame that Miyagawa-san couldn't see what he looked like, I wonder if he's actually very attractive-"
Miki: ".. This personality trait of mine is getting annoying."
Miki: Ah, do you remember what he was talking about, Miyagawa-san?
Akio: I think he was just mostly talking to himself?.. Just rambling about stuff.
Akio: He probably assumed that I was completely unconscious, so he felt like he could talk about anything he wanted.
Akio: .. I remember him saying something about the prison guards though.
Miki: Prison guards?..
Hinode: So.. He was talking about us, huh?..
Akio: Maybe. I have no idea, my memories are really blurry.
Akio: .. Can we talk about my murder already?
Miki: Oh, uh, s-sure, but..
Miki: .. Don't you want to talk about the other prisoners too? Like, what's your relationship with-
Akio: How is it supposed to be related to my murder? You're here to solve it, or what?
Hinode: Your current relationships can say a lot about your past, so-
Akio: Stop trying to sound smart, nobody cares.
Hinode: O-okay.
Akio: .. My relationship with Riku is better now. That's all I'm going to say.
Miki: "He's calling him by his first name.."
Miki: "Wait, didn't he-"
Miki: ".. I should ask him about that."
Miki: Thank you for saving him, Miyagawa-san. Even though you've almost died because of what he said to you, you still saved his life.
Miki: Hehe, you really are a good person.
Akio: Shut up.
Miki: ".. Maybe he felt guilty about his murder and that's why he tried to save someone's life?.."
Miki: What about your relationship with Hanasaki-san? Are you still close?
Akio: .. She's been acting weird lately. I do not like that.
Miki: "Weird"? What do you mean?
Akio: You know exactly what I'm talking about. I mean, she doesn't talk to anyone except you nowadays.
Akio: It's like she's obsessed with you or something.
Hinode: Just like your accomplice was obsessed with you?
Akio: !
Akio: .. So we're gonna talk about that, huh.
Akio: Okay, bring it on.
Hinode: So, if we were to tell the story of your crime..
Hinode: There were three main characters: your accomplice, Saito Arata-san, your victim, Kitami Chise-san, and well, of course, you.
Hinode: You were in charge of all the planning when it came to the murder and you also were the one who really hated Chise-san, meanwhile Arata-san was the one who did all the dirty work. A king would never kill someone with his own hands, he needs an executioner for that, right?
Akio: .. Are you making fun of me?
Hinode: But then, something went wrong between you and Arata-san. Perhaps it was some kind of argument? Maybe one of you didn't like the plan so much? Maybe one of you suddenly felt sorry for Chise-san?
Hinode: Maybe something went wrong in the middle of the murder?
Akio: ...
Hinode: Actually, Miki-san, I'm surprised you and Eiji-san never asked Akio-san about this very important part of his murder.
Miki: Huh? What are you talking about-
Hinode: I'm talking about the murder method.
Hinode: How exactly did you plan to kill him, Akio-san?
Akio: .. I'm sure you saw something like that in my videos. I mean, they're supposed to show my murder, right?
Miki: "I remember seeing something like that in his second video.. What was it.."
Miki: ".. Oh."
Miki: Miyagawa-san, this might be a weird question, but..
Miki: .. Did Kitami-san die by hanging?
Akio: !
Akio: W-wait.. Y-you really saw it?
Miki: There was a lot of.. hanging symbolism in one of your videos.
Hinode: Fitting for someone who saw himself as a king of his class. It's a pretty popular execution method, after all.
Akio: I-I.. I didn't think you'd actually.. see it..
Hinode: There's one thing that really bothers me though.
Hinode: Akio-san, why exactly did you go with hanging as your murder method?
Akio: ...
Akio: I thought it was.. easy to do.
Akio: Like.. we just needed a rope and a stool and that's all..
Hinode: Hmm, I'm sure there must be more to it.
Hinode: You really hated Chise-san, right? So why go easy on him?
Hinode: If you do it right, hanging is supposed to be quick, right? You know, neck snaps, ouch!.. And that's it, you're dead.
Hinode: Like, that's one of the reasons why it's such a popular execution method. Like, we're killing someone, but we're doing it so quickly, they won't realize what happened to them! We're so nice!
Hinode: .. I just don't understand why a king like you would go with an execution method like that.
Akio: .. I-
Hinode: Also, there was this scene in your second video..
Hinode: Like I've said, hanging is supposed to be quick. But..
Hinode: What did Chise-san look like, Akio-san?
Akio: Huh? Why do you need to know-
Hinode: Answer the question, please. This is an interrogation, after all.
Akio: .. Blond hair, dark pink eyes. Freckles. A stupid smile of his that always looks way too wide and annoying.
Hinode: Oh, so that's who we saw in that video.
Akio: !
Akio: Wh-
Akio: What are you-
Miki: So that boy really was Kitami-san..
Hinode: Then answer me this, Akio-san.
Hinode: If hanging is supposed to be quick and painless, why could we see so many bloody marks on his neck?
Akio: .. Ah..
Akio: I.. I-it..
Miki: Are you okay, Miyagawa-san?
Akio: I-it wasn't..
Akio: *stands up* IT WASN'T MY FAULT, OKAY?!
Akio: I'VE TOLD HIM THAT WE SHOULD BE CAREFUL, THAT WE SHOULD DO EVERYTHING ACCORDING TO MY PLAN, BUT HE DIDN'T LISTEN!
Akio: IT WAS ALL HIS IDEA! IT WAS HIS FAULT! HIS FAULT, HIS FAULT, HIS FAULT, HIS FAULT-
Miki: P-please calm down, Miyagawa-san, you're still injured-
Akio: ..  My head hurts. *sits down*
Hinode: So, by "his fault".. You mean Arata-san, right?
Akio: .. Yes.
Hinode: What did Arata-san do?
Akio: .. W-we didn't just kill him.
Akio: We, uh..
Akio: W-we tortured him.
Miki: You what??
Hinode: This boy committed murder, but you draw the line at torture?
Miki: N-no, it's just-
Akio: I-it was my idea too. Arata went along with it.
Akio: It's like he looked.. excited, even.
Akio: When Chise woke up, the rope was already on his neck. He started to panic and try to get the rope off, but then Arata made the stool shake and Chise quickly stopped.
Akio: He wasn't hanging exactly, he was just standing on it, but one wrong move could cost him his life.
Akio: A-and then I..
Akio: I-I started to taunt him and..
Akio: H-he never was the brightest student in class, so I just continued to ask him questions and make him solve problems and told him that if he keeps giving me the wrong answers, w-we will kill him.
Miki: ...
Miki: .. You're messed up, Miyagawa-san.
Hinode: So what happened after?
Akio: .. Arata moved the stool. Chise's neck did not break.
Akio: He continued to try to get the rope off his neck. He kept trying to say something.
Akio: .. T-this went for at least five minutes-
(sounds of Akio throwing up)
Miki: Miyagawa-san!
(sounds of Miki's footsteps)
Miki: Hinode-san, do you have anything-
Hinode: Here, you can wipe it off with this.
Hinode: So.. A botched execution, huh?
Miki: Hinode-san, thanks for helping. Now shut up, please.
Akio: T-this.. This is what I meant when I said that it never was m-my fault..
Akio: H-he told me he has experience with it.. T-that it really will be quick and painless..
Miki: "Experience with it?! So Miyagawa-san ended up here, but that guy didn't?!"
Akio: T-that's why I ran away right after w-we were done.. I-I couldn't even look at him anymore after that..
(bell rings, machinery sounds)
Miki: Miyagawa-san, before we extract your video, please answer one question. You can go and rest after this.
Akio: Wow, that's so nice of you, haha..
Miki: .. I noticed that you usually call everyone by their last names, but when it comes to people you're close with, you call them by their first names.
Miki: Like you called Hanasaki-san by her last name at first, but after she saved you, you started to call her by her first name.
Miki: So I just wanted to ask..
Miki: Why are you calling your victim "Chise" even though you claim you hated him?
Akio: ...
Akio: .. Isn't that for you to figure out?
Akio: You already got the murder method and my reaction to his death. You don't have to be a genius like me to put all these things together.
Miki: .. I see. Thank you.
Miki: Hinode-san- Ah, he's asleep.
Miki: Well then..
Miki: Prisoner 001, Akio, please sing your sins.

[ Akio's Trial 3 MV: Experiment: Failed ]
The video starts with showing us that Akio is sitting in some kind of lab and working on his computer, he's even dressed up as some kind of scientist. He is going through the files he has on his computer and suddenly notices something suspicious in one of them. But before he can open it, he gets distracted because Arata walks up to him, offers him some coffee and smiles at him. He seems to be a scientist working here too.
"I'm the one who planned this, so trust me, it's gonna be fine
I'm the expert in this field, nothing can go wrong
This is what I tell myself every morning or otherwise I'll break down
Only your smile can keep me sane, so just stay here, it's gonna be fine"
Akio just sighs and accepts the coffee and forgets about the file.
The video cuts to Akio explaining something to Arata and writing something on a chalkboard. Arata stands up and starts writing something on it too. Akio seems to disagree with him and starts correcting him. After a playful fight, they seem to finally agree on something and they shake their hands.
"I'm the smart one here, the "genius child", that's what they call me
You're the strong one here, nothing scares you, that's what you've told me
Let's work together, I'll do the planning, you'll do the killing-
Oh, what did I just say? Well, whatever, it's just our secret code for.."
When they walk away, we can see the chalkboard better and we see that they've actually been playing Hangman all this time.
Arata is now the one doing all the explaining and he seems to be very passionate about it. Akio is listening to him very intently and he can't stop staring at him.
"I know there must be something deeply wrong with you, I can see it in your eyes
But I can't help but feel curious, let me put your messed up brain in a jar
I wasn't born to solve love problems, so let's just hope the answer isn't "Break up""
When you look closer, you can notice that one of his eyes is slowly becoming more pink, meanwhile the other one is becoming more green. But it looks like Arata has some work for Akio to do and he drops a stack of papers on his desk.
"Solve the problem! You know the answer! Good job! I love you, love you, you can do it!
I can't concentrate with those words playing in my head!
Well, whatever, I know I'll get the best grade in loving you anyway
So keep looking at me, keep saying I'm a genius, please praise me once more"
Before Akio can say anything, Arata places his hand on his chin and looks him in the eyes. Akio blushes a bit and nods reluctantly. Right after that Arata walks away from him, not even taking a single look at him. Akio has no choice but to get to work.
On the next day, it looks like Akio spent the entire night working. He wakes up because he can hear someone talking and suddenly, Arata opens the door and Akio can see that Arata is not alone. He has brought Chise with him and the blond boy looks very excited to be here and he keeps looking around.
For some reason, Akio looks terrified, but he tries to stay calm after Chise looks at him and gives him a smile. Chise's smile seems to be very different from Arata's and it feels more warm and sincere, meanwhile Arata's is simply more polite.
"No, why did you do this? We're not ready yet, how am I supposed to act in this situation?
You don't know the whole truth, you don't know what happened between me and-"
Akio tries to look away from him and notices the way Arata is staring at both of them. He doesn't look pleased. Akio clenches his hands and nods and Arata looks to be happy with Akio agreeing to do something.
"No, I can't turn back now. What's done is done, I'll do the planning, you'll do the-"
Akio continues to work on his computer meanwhile Arata seems to be testing some kind of machine on Chise and Chise doesn't mind, it actually looks like he's having fun.
"An innocent victim? No, just a test subject, just another experiment
He's not that pure, that's what I want to believe
He'll fight back if he wants, don't let him fool you
Do whatever you want with him, I don't care at all"
Akio can't help but keep looking at them and then he remembers about the weird file and finally decides to check what's inside of it. Once he clicks on it, the computer screen suddenly goes red and the same happens to all the computers in the lab.
"Ah, I knew this plan was a bad idea from the start
Even geniuses like me make mistakes sometimes, okay?!
I just got a bit too confident, I got lost in my pride
I beg you, don't point at me and call me an idiot"
Akio starts panicking and he runs to the machine that Arata was testing and it looks like the thing is malfunctioning. Akio tries to help Chise, but Arata puts his hand on his shoulder and once again, gives him a smile.
"But you still tell me:
Solve the problem! You know the answer! Good job! I love you, love you, you can do it!
I can't concentrate with those words playing in my head!
Please comfort me, tell me everything's gonna be fine
I'm not going to be punished for my stupidity, right?"
Akio lets Chise's hand go and even tries to force a laugh and pretend everything is fine.
But then, the whole "illusion" of a lab shatters and we're brought back to reality. Akio blinks and he sees that they're not in this super cool laboratory, but in a dark and creepy basement. He sees that this whole time they weren't testing a machine on Chise. They were actually trying to hang him.
"It really was a bad idea from the start
Good boys like me aren't made for murder
Sorry for making you stain your hands like this
I'll lick all the blood off if it makes you feel better"
We can't see what happened to Chise in all the detail, but we can see his legs and his neck and there appear to be strange red marks on it. Even when most of his body can be seen, we can't make it out that well because of how dark the basement is and we can't see his face at all.
"Something went wrong, totally wrong
Something went wrong, oh so totally wrong
I admit my mistake, but don't punish me for it
It's too embarrassing for a king like me to beg for forgiveness"
Akio falls on the floor and covers his mouth with his hand and it looks like he's trying to calm himself down and pretend everything is okay again, but then he looks at Arata, hoping he can comfort him and to his horror, Arata can't stop staring at Chise's corpse and laughing. When Arata turns back to Akio, he looks way too excited for someone who just murdered an innocent person.
"You are the problem! I know the answer! You did the job! I hate you, hate you, I can't do it!
I can't concentrate with those words playing in my head!
So let me run away from you like a coward would
Just to get obsessed with you later again"
He tries to grab Akio's hand, but Akio pushes him away and looks terrified. Akio runs away and leaves the house. It's raining outside and he keeps running until he trips and falls and sees a paper crown lying on the ground. It's in a terrible condition because of the rain and it has some dirt on it too, but Akio still reaches to grab it. It's in his hands now and Akio looks at it and smiles. It's a sad smile, but still, a smile.
"Maybe, one day, I will be noticed
Maybe, one day, I will be recognized
Maybe, one day, someone will smile at me again
Maybe, one day, I won't need anyone's praise anymore"
He continues to lie on the ground as more and more rain drops fall on the paper crown. The video ends.

Hiii! Don't know if you remember me, I send you Naomi and Asahi sketches once. I want to repeat how much I like your project and I'd love to draw more for it, but I miscalculated how much free time I have so it took some time (I was supposed to finish the second drawing two months ago or smth...). Anyway! I present to you: the goddes of Linagram, Andou Miki! (I wuv her) Same as last time, I tried to make it look more like Milgram style, this time with color even. Not sure how accurate it turned out, but I kinda like the result. Tbh at first I just wanted to make an art of her, but now looking at the composition and background style... Dunno I just think it looks like it shoud be a series of art of wardens... I really want to make it into a series, but not sure if I will be able actually do it Aaand I guess I kunda screwed up some of her design details (jokes on you, I coildn't even be consistent with her design in my own drawings lol), but it's too late to change anuthing so whatever In the end I want to wish you good luck with both T3 Linagram and Linagram2 development! Oh, oh, and I also want to ask something, but you obviously don't have to answer: are there any special gestures or facial expression traits that your characters (both prisoners and wardens and maybe even victims or side chars) have that you'd like to point out? Like Shun having closed postures or Kei smiling a lot even if it doesn't look like he feels like it? I suppose you've talked about this before, or maybe someone even sent you a similar ask... If it's true, I'll search it!
SHDJAJASJKSJSJ SHE LOOKS AMAZING THANK YOU SO MUCH!! (and yes i remember you!) i love her expression in the first drawing so much she looks like a tiny scared kitten.. (and she kinda is one) i really love the shading on the second one too it looks so much like the milgram art style!! (and it's okay i kinda forget things when it comes to my own designs too 😭)
oh and also i haven't received an ask like that before so here it is! so sorry i think it turned out a bit long ><
akio is one of the characters who has changed the most throughout the seasons. in season 1 (and before milgram), he usually had this kind of annoyed or more serious face expression (but i really like to make his expressions look like he's a bit nervous or even scared maybe? like he's just putting up a front..)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
in season 2 he looks much more tired and traumatized for obvious reasons and he's supposed to look like he's in a lot of pain (and he is).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and in season 3, he still looks very tired, but i like to think that now he just kind of.. accepted everything that happened to him. akio doesn't think he'll be able to live that long even if he's able to leave milgram so 😔 akio's character arc is just a humbling experience took too far
Tumblr media Tumblr media
aimi's an interesting case! she's actually a character who has the most consistent face expressions and by that i mean. she's literally almost never seen without a smile on her face.
like this art is the only exception??
Tumblr media
but also, in season 1 the faces she makes are usually more sad or apologetic-looking! she also likes to do. The Thing with her sleeves
Tumblr media Tumblr media
she still has some of that in season 2, but she starts to smile a bit more calmly and even confidently.
Tumblr media
and in season 3? she's in her girlboss era!! she's much more confident now, her smile is more wide, she doesn't look sorry at all!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
but some of the art that is supposed to show her outside of milgram shows her having the same smile too.. like she started to look more "like a victim" only when she came to milgram.. huh..
Tumblr media Tumblr media
shun is a fun character to draw because most of the time he's either supposed to look stressed (or like "physically he's here, but he's not here mentally") or he's supposed to look so confident that it's kinda scary considering his usual personality. i like to think that in season 1 he mostly looked like the former and started to act like the latter in season 2 only to act like the former again in season 3 because of his punishment.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
like!! the difference!! also im not sure if it's easy to notice but when i draw shun i try to make his poses look a bit.. tense? i like to imagine his movements being a bit unnatural, almost like he's in pain or he genuinely doesn't know how to move or make certain poses. it also could be related to why he has his hands close to his face so often, it's almost like he's trying to check if he's real or not!
like aimi, naomi is almost always smiling and her expressions and poses are supposed to make her look like the "mom friend".
Tumblr media Tumblr media
she also has her hand on her chest very often, to make her look more.. confident, maybe? like she's supposed to have this "don't worry i'll take care of it :)" vibe!
SHE IS LITERALLY STILL SMILING EVEN IN SEASON 3 it's just that her smile is more wide now and it's supposed to make her look more unhinged rather than someone reliable. like aimi, literally the only case of her having a different face expression is this art.
Tumblr media
I HONESTLY CAN PUT KEI, EIKO AND RIKU IN THE SAME SECTION all of them are the smiley characters too but the way they act is a bit different.
kei's smile is supposed to show that there's something. Wrong with this man. like you shouldn't trust him. i'm also not sure if it's easy to see but kei often has this expression like he's looking down on someone. he's supposed to look all cool and when he's drawn with another character, he's almost always going to either look at them or look somewhere else, like there's another person that we don't see.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
this is also one of the reasons why this art with him and someone who is (or was?) very precious to him is so important bc he's!! looking UP at the boy!! and he's not smiling!!
Tumblr media
riku also likes to smile a lot but it's often supposed to look a bit. forced. it's like kei really believes that he's better than others and breaks when he realizes it's not true, meanwhile riku has the same belief about himself but he KNOWS he's not really special or unique, so he has no choice but to fake it until he makes it. when i draw riku, i always have this sort of rule (?) in mind: riku's smile is never sincere. he is always too worried about his image, popularity and reputation. he hates himself too much to be truly happy even for a moment. which is why him suddenly not smiling in his t3 art is so scary to me it's like.. idk, it's like he's too broken to even pretend to smile now..
eiko is very interesting bc unlike the guys she is a genuinely very confident woman! she doesn't have that many issues with her self-esteem, yes, she's a bit too much of a perfectionist, but honestly, she just has very high expectations from others and if we compare that to kei and riku's problems, that.. doesn't seem too bad to me. her expressions are also often supposed to look like she's laughing at someone or she's about to tell a joke or she's just being playful.
asahi's expressions are surprisingly hard to come up with when i draw him, so i usually just go with whatever i think is cute or shows his personality well. so most of the time he looks disgusted or angry, but i like to make his expressions adorable at the same time too! like akio, he also often looks a bit scared or stressed on the inside. he is also often seen chewing on something.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
yurika is another character i find hard to draw when it comes to expressions and poses.. but that's also why i like to take advantage of her. reputation in the linagram fandom and i like to make her look a bit insane!! i get to go crazy with her poses too like girl get a snickers or something!!
Tumblr media
and when she's not in a silly goofy mood she just looks kind of >:( i also have a rule similar to the one with riku: if yurika is smiling, her smile is usually fake.
tumblr pic limit is killing me we have to do the rest of this quick!!
reina is another character that changed a lot and if in season 1 she was usually seen smiling, she quickly dropped the facade after it ended and now she is only seen with a more cold and emotionless face expression. who knows, maybe she will smile again one day..
eiji, ironically, was supposed to have expressions and poses a bit similar to kei in season 1, but after it ended and the plot (and yurika) hit eiji badly, i can only imagine him looking more and more stressed with each day. the fact that he's actually similar to kei, but he can't pretend as well as he does..
miki is almost always seen being a bit sad or scared, and she only starts to smile more when season 2 begins and she starts embracing her role here. interestingly, her smile isn't supposed to look fake or forced, and it's actually more sincere compared to kei and riku. when season 3 starts, she lets her hair down and her eyes become more empty (same goes for eiji, who had "swirly" eyes in season 1 and the beginning of season 2) and her tone is more cold.
hinode is a bit.. too relaxed for a guard. he often presses a finger to his chin, like he's curious about something, he's always smiling and his smile is like.. you can't say it's sincere, but you can't say he's faking either. he also often has to lean on something or someone because he gets tired a bit too easily so he's usually seen either sitting or lying down and if he's standing, he's either leaning on a wall or someone's shoulder (usually miki's).

What would've happened if the prisoners got different verdicts than they did? (In trial 1 and 2-wise)
putting everything under the cut bc im yapping a lot here..
(also warning for descriptions of eiji's possible punishments for some prisoners and how hinode's punishment could affect them)
akio: being voted innocent in season 1 would actually be a better outcome for him! yes, akio "expected" being voted innocent, but i think that deep inside he would still have a feeling that the guards will vote him guilty, so he would find being forgiven very confusing. he would try his best not to show it though and he would try to act like "it was supposed to be this way", but on the inside? the boy would be shocked and would try to understand the guards' reasoning. as for being voted guilty in season 2, i've said before that linagram characters won't die until all trials are over and i intend to keep my word, but i think that akio would definitely be in a terrible condition and he probably wouldn't even be able to talk properly in his third voice drama. it would be interesting to see canon!aimi trying to do the talking for him maybe?.. i'm not sure how that would work, but it'd be fun and it would show how dependent on her he's become.
aimi: being voted guilty in s1 wouldn't. be good for her. probably. depends on what you think is good for her. eiji's punishment for her would be not allowing her to talk to any of the other prisoners, otherwise she'd be punished in some other way, most likely physically. even if the prisoners themselves try to talk to her, she wouldn't be allowed to respond. she would also be not allowed to spend time with them in any way, so even if all prisoners are eating in the cafeteria, eiji would just bring the food to aimi so that she can't even come to see the prisoners. being isolated from everyone in this way wouldn't be good for a girl who's obsessed with the concept of friendship as you can imagine. she would act a lot more mean and she would also claim that eiji is simply taking advantage of his power and using it to torture a poor girl who was a victim of bullying (and yes she WOULD say that her classmates bullied her. mostly to make eiji feel bad for her) her relationship with akio in this case is an interesting topic because if she's not allowed to interact with the prisoners, how would she save canon!akio from his suicide attempt? i imagine that aimi would risk being punished and still save him, but not really because she's that kind, she would just use akio to make the guards realize that she's actually "better than they think" and that they should forgive her. if she got voted guilty in s2, again, she would be mad at the guards, especially if she was voted inno in s1. i can imagine that her reaction would be similar to canon!shun's, so she would be like "hey what did i do wrong why would you betray me like this".
shun: honestly, i'm glad that he got voted inno because his s1 punishment would be very similar to hinode's :'D basically eiji would use some kind of drug on him to make shun's memory even worse but it would backfire and shun wouldn't remember LITERALLY ANYTHING. i think he would even forget that he's human. it all depends on the other prisoners' verdict combinations, but i think that if someone else tried to take care of shun, it would be eiko except eiko is a horrible woman (affectionate AND derogatory) and she would take advantage of his memory loss and shun literally wouldn't be able to function without her. if shun got voted innocent in s2, i think he would be pleased to see guilty prisoners experiencing memory loss and he would go "SEE NOW YOU'RE JUST LIKE ME" at them. his treatment of female prisoners would get worse and when it comes to his relationship with canon!eiko, he would try to make HER depend on him since she got voted guilty in s2. she would be very reluctant, but she'd eventually agree because it feels nice to be taken care of, even if it's.. like this.
naomi: if she got voted guilty in s1, her punishment would be.. very interesting because it would be directly related to another prisoner. eiji would force asahi and naomi to spend as much time together as possible, i imagine he would go as far as making them share a cell. they wouldn't be allowed to talk to anyone else (not counting the guards) and i think he'd just scare them with a physical punishment like in aimi's case. yes, that would be weird if asahi got voted innocent, but i honestly think eiji wouldn't care about asahi's verdict and he would still be completely okay with using him for naomi's punishment. if she got voted innocent in s2, i think she would become a LOT more confident and even proud of what she's done. would go full child killer mode and try to turn asahi's life into hell but. miki is out there
kei: if he got voted innocent in s1, he'd find it funny and would claim that it's the proof of eiji's love for him since he'd obviously forgive his older brother no matter what, right? but like akio, he'd find it a little.. confusing. because hey, eiji, you voted him inno because you love him, right? not because you feel bad for him? not because you think kei is pathetic and weak and should be protected? his relationship dynamics with others depend a lot on everyone's verdict combos so please feel free to ask questions about the specific ones! if he got voted guilty in s2, memory loss would be really bad for his already unstable mental state, but i also think something would go. wrong in kei's brain during the procedure and he'd become a tiny bit obsessed with hinode because he's so used to the concept of physical pain being the proof of love that hinode torturing him in a psychological way would feel very new and exciting, like i think kei with his "love = pain" mindset would think hinode just confessed his feelings for him right there. i can imagine kei also begging hinode to hurt him physically as well in his third voice drama and overall becoming more masochistic.
eiko: guilty would actually be her canon s1 verdict and i remember being a bit surprised when she got voted inno :'D eiji's punishment for her would be.. i want to say that it would be bad, but considering how he would punish shun and some other prisoners, this one ACTUALLY SOUNDS KINDA TAME COMPARED TO THEM. eiji would cut eiko's hair, making her look like a mess and he would also spill hot water on her skin causing burns to appear. y-yeah. eiko would accept her punishment and would be surprisingly chill about it and she would say that it just proves how "eager" eiji was to punish someone as pretty as her. i also can imagine her obsession with eiji getting worse as well because eiji keeping his promise and actually punishing her proves how "perfect" he is. her dynamics with shun and kei would depend on their verdicts a lot, but i actually think guilty!eiko would be more focused on eiji than them. her being voted innocent in s2 wouldn't change her personality much, i think she'd honestly act more or less the same, though i can actually see her being a little disappointed in eiji because of him going easy on her all the time, haha. but she would still love him.
asahi: OH THIS IS A BAD ONE like i was honestly relieved when he was voted innocent in s1.. so um. we all know that his theme is hunger right. and that he's happy as long as he "has food to eat and toys to play with" right. u-um. well. eiji's punishment for asahi would be basically leaving asahi to starve. asahi wouldn't be allowed to eat anything and he would be allowed to only eat extremely small amounts of food and only if he was like. clearly about to die soon. yes, i like to make fun of eiji's obsession with punishing everyone and i also often mention that eiji is a victim of abuse and that's why he's like this, but eiji is a terrible, terrible person and he WOULD go that far just for the sake of his personal "justice". miki would secretly bring food to asahi though and eiji would find out and they would have a really bad fight because of it. if naomi was also voted guilty, i can imagine naomi (because she's also a terrible person. just like most people here) eating in front of asahi and torturing him this way. god she's insane. if asahi was voted guilty in s2, i think it'd depend a lot on his s1 verdict, but if he was also not forgiven in s1, the boy would be BROKEN. he was left to starve and now the guards are playing with his memories. i also think his relationship with miki would be a lot less wholesome because he would be attached to her since miki is still the only one who would care about him, but he would wonder why the girl keeps voting him guilty if she claims she wants to save him.. if he was forgiven in s1, he would be DEVASTATED because that means miki betrayed him. if asahi got voted guilty at least once, i think his hallucinations would get worse and he'd hear and/or see his "real mother" more often. it'd be even more sad if eventually she stopped looking similar to miki..
yurika: OH YURIKA!! yurika was actually supposed to get an inno verdict in s1 and i was really surprised when she got voted guilty. if she got voted inno, she'd be like "oh i knew the guards will realize that i'm the real victim!" and she'd act more confident and she'd act a lot more like what kind of person she used to be before her parents kicked her out. sooo basically mean rich girl. however, on the inside her feelings would be more complicated bc at the same time she still wants to laugh at miki and say that the girl is just trying to make yurika trust her, but also... miki is so nice to her.. miki reminds her of takame so much.. ehehe.. what should she do.. if canon!yurika was voted innocent in s2, she'd be surprised, but she wouldn't be able to be truly happy about it, because the guards already voted her guilty once and they can definitely do it again. she would also find it funny and she would ask miki something like "do you really hate eiji that much" since voting yurika inno after she broke eiji's arm would definitely be a Choice. and if inno!yurika got voted guilty in s2, well. she'd be really mad! and she would also realize that miki is not the same as takame and that no one will save yurika in this place and she has only herself to rely on.
riku: riku was actually supposed to get voted guilty in s1 and honestly it would be very similar to what happened to him after he got voted innocent. riku would, ironically, be very scared of what eiji could do to him so he would decide to hurt or even kill himself before eiji could get to him. his injury would be very serious and it would be a miracle for him to survive and i think arisu would be the one to take care of it, since he also treated akio's head injury after akio got voted inno. because of that, riku wouldn't be able to leave his cell and talk to others and eiji would call that a perfect punishment for him because it means that riku can't get any attention from others (and also it would be a cool riku and hinode parallel since well.. hinode spent all his time in bed bc of his health issues and still got a lot of attention and now riku has to do the same but nobody cares about him...) miki would try to spend as much time with him as possible though and riku would become very attached to her since she would be the only source of attention for him. if canon!riku got voted inno in s2, he wouldn't be sure what to do, because he'd still feel like the guards are forgiving him because they feel bad for him so he just needs to continue hurting himself to get out of milgram, but he would also start to get thoughts like ".. maybe they actually do think i was in the right". his self-harming tendencies would still be there, but he would slowly try to control them and if akio was voted innocent in that case as well, he'd try to help riku with it. it still wouldn't be a perfect verdict though bc riku would just think driving his friend to suicide is all good and okay and morally correct.
reina: reina's a very interesting case! i think if the guards voted her guilty, reina would be relieved at first, but then she would literally feel like that one post that went something like "you fell for the character's facade that the viewers were supposed to see through"?.. like, she wouldn't know if she's supposed to be jumping in joy or look the guards in the eyes and go "god you are so dumb". she'd try to understand if they really think reina's crime is bad or that the guards just didn't want to bother. as for eiji's punishment for her, i think eiji would be sure that physical punishment wouldn't matter much to reina (and he'd be right), so instead he would simply force her not to talk about her crimes outside of trials. however, reina wouldn't find that scary and she'd keep her serial killer act and eiji would also not be able to punish her physically since the girl is literally not scared of him and she'd be okay with him doing something to her, and that's boring to him. so yeah, honestly, he'd just ignore her. if she got voted guilty again, her behavior would depend on other prisoners' verdicts, i think. if their verdicts made sense to reina, i think she'd actually believe that the guards do think she deserves punishment and she would accept it and even give up AND SHE WOULDN'T TRY TO LEARN MORE ABOUT MILGRAM. but if their verdicts sounded weird to reina, she'd realize the guards don't know what they're doing and she'd start to act a lot like canon!reina.
some bonus info!
i believe that if the verdict combinations were different, we'd still get a lot of the current notable relationship dynamics like 030506, 0109, miki and riku, miki and yurika, eiko and eiji, naomi and asahi, the guard and prisoner siblings, etc, but i think some prisoners would interact more, like i can imagine a scenario where yurika could become interested in naomi since "haha she's still looking for a pretty older woman to date" and naomi wouldn't have any feelings for her at all, but she'd manipulate yurika and possibly even use her to hurt asahi. i also think that asahi and miki's relationship wouldn't be as strong if he kept getting voted guilty. we also could have more insane reimiki yuri if miki kept voting reina guilty. imagine

?? That was a quick change of mood
merry christmas from linagram!
Tumblr media
merry christmas everyone.. merry christmas.. you get these guard plushies as a present. blessed miki plushie that says she forgives you and she will do anything to save you and cursed eiji and hinode plushies that drink your pepsi and say you're guilty and use the amnesia machine on you
this drawing in particular has t1 eiji and miki here but it's okay. it's okay
you can read the christmas special vd under the cut! also yes it's canon actually.
Hinode: So.. Christmas, huh?
Miki: .. Hm? Is it Christmas already?
Hinode: Well, if this calendar is to be believed..
Hinode: I've never imagined myself celebrating Christmas in a prison, haha.
Miki: .. Right.
Hinode: Is everything okay, Miki-san? You're not.. um, in a holiday mood?
Miki: .. I guess.
Hinode: Wait, what are these? So many boxes..
Miki: O-oh, I'm wrapping presents for the prisoners.
Hinode: Really? Did they ask for something?
Miki: I've asked them to write down what they want for Christmas and this morning I had everything prepared. I just need to make these things look.. well, like presents.
Hinode: You still want them to have a nice Christmas even though they're in prison.. You are so kind, Miki-san.
Miki: W-well, that's just a part of my job as this prison's goddess..
Hinode: "Goddess"?..
Miki: Never mind.
Hinode: O-okay.. So, what did everyone ask for?
Miki: Let's see..
Miki: Miyagawa-san asked for a diary. His head injury is slowly getting better, but his memory still isn't the best at the moment and he wants to write everything down so that he won't forget about it. He also just finds making notes useful.
Miki: This diary here has a lock too. Miyagawa-san will have to come up with a password..
Hinode: W-what if he forgets the password too?..
Miki: .. Well, that won't be my problem.
Miki: Aimi-chan asked for more cute hairclips. I have a lot of them here..
Miki: Though she actually asked for them not because she wants to use them for herself, but because she wants to do my hair.
Miki: She said that my hair looks really messy these days.
Hinode: To be honest, I can't help but agree with her. And what about your pigtails?
Miki: .. I can't be bothered to take care of that.
Miki: Ishizu-san asked for this anime figure. It looks pretty detailed.
Miki: I find it interesting how he remembered the character's name, the title of the anime she's from, what this particular figure is called..
Miki: His memory really works well when it comes to things he likes.
Miki: Chiba-san didn't know what to ask for at first, but then she wrote that her request might be a little bit too specific..
Miki: And she asked for a small glass figure of a cat.
Hinode: That's.. actually quite specific.
Miki: When I asked her about it, she said that she just misses her cat a lot. I offered to get her a plushie or something else that could remind her of her cat, but she said that she would like to have a glass figure specifically.
Miki: She said that she used to.. collect them? But I don't remember her ever mentioning something like that..
Hinode: .. I think you should remember that detail just in case.
Hinode: Prisoners requesting something they wouldn't request in a different setting or situation should be considered suspicious.
Hinode: I mean.. I've heard about what Riku did during the first trial.
Miki: .. Maybe you're right. I'll keep that in mind.
Miki: Now, Kei-san..
Miki: Kei-san asked for... spray paint?
Hinode: What is it with everyone suddenly getting new interests and hobbies..
Miki: When I asked him about it, he just went..
Miki: "Come on, Miki! I just want to make our prison more pretty! I want to make it more colorful! Everyone looks so sad these days.."
Miki: We can't ask Eiji-san about it right now, but I really doubt Kei-san really just.. "wants to make this prison more pretty".
Hinode: He's.. an interesting individual, that's for sure.
Miki: Now, Yoshioka-san..
Miki: Yoshioka-san asked for some new earrings and even described how she wants them to look like. She said that she just "kinda wants to try something new".
Miki: .. Even though it sounds like something she would ask for, I can't help but feel worried.
Hinode: Really? Why?
Miki: Yoshioka-san mentioned once that she got the earrings she wears now from her father. And if I'm not wrong, she has a very good relationship with her father.
Miki: So why would she.. suddenly want to get new earrings if these ones are so special to her?
Hinode: Huh..
Hinode: Well, Miki-san, I'm not sure what to say here, but..
Hinode: Usually something like that happens when a person gets disappointed in their family member and doesn't want to think about them.
Miki: ...
Miki: Also, Asahi-kun..
Miki: Asahi-kun's request was.. Here, let me read it.
Miki: "You know those stuffed animals that have stuff like candy or chocolate hidden inside and you can get it out when you unzip them? Yeah, I want one. Doesn't matter what it looks like, I care about the candy more anyway."
Hinode: His request is very in character for him, haha.
Hinode: But why would he ask for a plushie specifically? He can just ask for candy or whatever he wants to eat.
Miki: I don't know.
Miki: Maybe that's just him wanting to have something that he can play with. He's still a child after all.
Hinode: Oh, you're finally smiling. He really is important to you, isn't he?
Miki: .. Ahem.
Miki: So, Maruyama-san wrote..
Miki: "Whatever. Just give me whatever you want. Getting a gift from our savior is enough of an honor anyway."
Hinode: .. Yeah, the last part is definitely supposed to be sarcasm.
Hinode: So, what did you decide to give her?
Miki: Well, here's the thing..
Miki: We never had to get whatever the prisoners asked for ourselves, we just.. had to ask everyone about their requests first and then write a list of the things we needed and everything appeared on the next day after that, we just had to bring everything to them.
Hinode: Actually.. How does this work?
Hinode: Does that mean someone else is.. buying these things for them? Or getting them from somewhere?
Hinode: Imagine if we had to go shopping for all these items. *laughs*
Miki: I don't know how this works.. And I'm not sure that I want to know.
Miki: But anyway, this morning, when I checked everyone's presents, I noticed that Maruyama-san's present was..
Miki: A letter.
Hinode: A letter?..
Miki: *nods*
Miki: I think it's also supposed to be from her.. manager?
Miki: It's signed too..
Miki: "Kanasawa Takame".
Hinode: Have you read the rest of the letter?
Miki: No, I didn't. To be honest, I just.. don't really care about their relationship.
Miki: I just want to know more about her crime and that's all.
Hinode: Hmm.. Well, we also can't be sure that this letter really was written by her manager.
Hinode: Maybe it's just someone who works here pretending to be her.
Hinode: *laughs* Imagine them writing this. That would be so funny.
Miki: If Maruyama-san realizes that this letter isn't actually from her manager..
Miki: .. I think she won't take it well.
Hinode: Well, that's what we have these things for, right?
Miki: .. Hinode-san, I will use these only when the prisoner is about to hurt someone or when it's okay to return their memories to them.
Hinode: Okay, okay. You're so strict.. You really are a perfect guard.
Hinode: .. I wonder what my brother has asked for.
Miki: His request actually wasn't that unique or out of the ordinary for him.
Miki: He just asked me for some hair dye again.
Hinode: Again?.. I thought he had already dyed his hair after the second trial. Wasn't it his first request after getting voted guilty?
Miki: He said that I got the wrong color for him.
Hinode: Oh..
Hinode: And what color did he actually want?
Miki: Black.
Hinode: Going back to his natural color, huh..
Miki: Finally, Himura-san..
Miki: .. She asked for a voice recorder.
Hinode: .. Are we even allowed to give her that?
Miki: Well, it's one of the presents, so.. I guess we are.
Miki: Listen, if I was allowed to give your brother a knife, I think voice recorder is more than okay.
Hinode: Well, I don't think whoever is in charge of this prison cares that much about the prisoners' safety, but if these prisoners find out something they weren't supposed to..
Miki: .. Whatever Himura-san does with this thing is none of my business.
Miki: A-anyway, I'm done with wrapping presents. Let's go, we shouldn't keep them waiting.
Miki: "I hope Eiji-san is doing okay.. I wish I could bring something to him as a present.."
***
???: Man, these prisoners are weird.
???: Spray paint? A cat glass figure?
???: I expected more from them.
???: To be honest, I have a bad feeling about this.
???: Really? Why?
???: I don't know, it's like..
???: Almost all of them are planning to use their presents in some way?
???: Why would someone request a voice recorder? Why would someone request spray paint?
???: .. Are you telling me the third prisoner's gonna try to kill someone with an anime girl figure?
???: Do I look like I know what's going on inside his head?!
???: True.
???: Anyway, do you think you've done a good job with that letter?
???: I-I don't know. I've tried my best.
???: Well, now a poor lovestruck girl's mental health fully depends on how good you are at copying someone's handwriting, so..
???: If she snaps, that's gonna be on you~
???: Look, I'm already under too much pressure!..
???: Ehehe, it's okay. Come here, come here~
???: S-stop, this is embarrassing..
???: Also, do you think that girl.. you know.. has already watched the video I asked Jackalope to show her?
???: Well, judging by her suddenly asking for new earrings..
???: I think she's starting to understand something.
???: Do you think they will be mad at us?
???: Well, even if they will, who cares?
???: After all..
???: I am the real goddess of this place.

so that raincoat collab..
notes about the meanings of everyone's poses are under the cut!
akio: akio doesn't have an umbrella, he just has his hood on and he has this angry look on his face. back in season 1, akio just wanted to be voted innocent and truly believed he deserved to be forgiven and even though being voted guilty made him change as a person, he still doesn't care about the "moral side" of his verdicts, since now he just wants to be forgiven because being punished again can literally cost him his life. he still doesn't want to do anything with the guards or the verdict system, so he doesn't have an umbrella, but he still doesn't want to die, so at least he has his head covered.
shun: shun was very happy when the guards voted him innocent, since he believed his crime wasn't a crime at all and his thoughts were affirmed. however, he got "betrayed" by the guards since they decided to vote him guilty in season 2. this is why he has his umbrella lying on the ground: he really believed that the guards will still be on his side, but he was wrong.
kei: kei is holding his umbrella. he is accepting his verdicts. even though he was voted guilty by his own brother and brutally punished by him as well, he loves him too much to get mad at him. it also looks like he's offering his umbrella to shun which might look cute OR look like a reminder of how unhealthy their relationship is (kei was more than happy to flirt with shun back in season 1 and shun just acted shy and claimed to be taken, but in season 2, shun gladly joined eiko when she started to basically bully kei and shun got a new outfit to look more like kei) but also.. kei is winking here. the eye that he has closed here is the same eye that shun lost because of kei. think about the implications <3
asahi: he has his umbrella closed, but he's still holding it. asahi doesn't like eiji and he sure will not like hinode, but he likes miki. she's the only guard that he cares about, but he cares about her A LOT. so you can interpret his pose as him still being suspicious of the other guards, but wanting to be as close with miki as possible.
riku: my boy doesn't have an umbrella AND he doesn't have his hood on. sure, riku wants to be forgiven, but also.. he understands that even an innocent verdict won't make his pain go away. in fact, he will most likely just hurt himself even more to keep making the guards feel sorry for him and continue forgiving him. a little spoiler for his trial 3 vd, but there's a moment when he says that there is no verdict that will help him or make his situation better. so his head is not covered, he doesn't have an umbrella with him and he's also holding his hand out to feel the raindrops. riku kuroki why are you like this
aimi: her pose is similar to asahi's and the meaning is similar as well: she only cares about miki. however, i tried to make her pose look a bit more desperate, like she's even more dependent on her than miki's own brother. aimi doesn't care about her verdict. she only cares about finally having a friend.
naomi: naomi has claimed multiple times that she doesn't care about her verdict and she doesn't care about the other prisoners' verdicts as well (not counting asahi. the fuck them kids mindset is still there) so she doesn't have an umbrella with her and it also looks like she's taking her hood off. however, i like to think as this naomi in particular as t2 naomi: getting an innocent verdict and starting to become more confident. confident enough to feel like you don't have to protect yourself anymore. she still got a guilty verdict though so maybe an umbrella wouldn't hurt.
eiko: oh this girl is so happy about her umbrella! look at the way she's holding it! this totally doesn't have anything to do with her obsession with eiji at all! eiko really doesn't care about the verdicts, but she loves her poor little meow meow too much, so she still cares about milgram in some way. there's also her brother being the fourth guard that never got an opportunity to actually do his job and the possibility of her parents having something to do with it.. her pose is also kinda similar to kei's pose which is a nice bonus since they're a pair.
yurika: THE GIRL IS NOT HAPPY ABOUT HER TWO GUILTY VERDICTS. she's the only prisoner that's sitting on the ground. she doesn't have an umbrella with her, showing that she HATES the guards and she HATES her verdicts (and how verdicts work in general), but she still has her hood on. the girl doesn't want to die. she REALLY doesn't want to die. (and her t3 vd will show it well </3)
reina: reina doesn't have an umbrella with her, which was to be expected from miss "i'm actually a serial killer hehe >:D please vote me guilty please please guys i'm begging i would rather die than live with the knowledge of what i've done". she doesn't care about the guards' opinions anymore. she does have her hood on, but in her case it's not related to her life, i simply thought it would fit her vibe well, since she's a person who finds it hard to be honest with others and is very secretive.

OH GOD WE'RE DOING THIS WE'RE DOING THIS
so yeah this vd is supposed to describe the changes that happened between the ending of season 2 and the beginning of season 3. please enjoy!.. or don't. you are free to suffer as well
Warnings: descriptions of murder and suicide attempts.
Hinode: Are you ready to begin, Miki-san?
Miki: .. Yes.
Hinode: So.. The trial hasn't even started yet, but we already had to go through a lot.
Miki: Y-yeah..
Miki: I mean, we had to expect something like this. It's the last trial, after all.
Miki: But still.. Everyone has changed so much.
Miki: And it's.. kind of our fault too.
Hinode: We had to punish the guilty prisoners somehow, you know that.
Miki: ...
Miki: I don't think you saw punishing them as a way to save them or the other prisoners.
Hinode: Huh?
Miki: Are you sure that you really don't like seeing other people in pain, Hinode-san?
Hinode: W-what are you talking about, Miki-san-
Miki: Never mind.I just hope Eiji-san comes back soon.
Hinode: .. This might be a weird question, but.. what kind of relationship do you two have? Are you close?
Miki: Eiji-san is very important to me. That's all.
Hinode: Do you like him?
Miki: .. *sighs*
Miki: I don't agree with most of the things he says. He can be really annoying. He's way too cruel when he punishes the prisoners.
Miki: .. But I still want him to come back.
Hinode: So you do like him.
Miki: Guard 003, let's get to work already.
Hinode: U-uh, yes, sure.
Hinode: So.. It looks like the relationship dynamics between the prisoners have changed significantly.
Hinode: Those who were enemies are starting to become closer and those who were friends now hate each other's guts.
Hinode: Let's talk about the changes every prisoner went through during this period.
Hinode: Prisoner 001, Miyagawa Akio.
Hinode: Thankfully, Akio-san has started to get better.
Hinode: His injury isn't that bad anymore, but it's possible that it will still impact his life in.. not the best way.
Hinode: He still has to wear bandages just in case, but now we know that he has a pretty big scar there.
Hinode: Thanks to him being voted innocent, according to Jackalope, he was able to receive treatment from someone we don't know yet, but since Akio-san's condition really is getting better with each day, I don't think that person is dangerous.
Miki: "I wonder who that person was.. Maybe a doctor that works here?"
Hinode: It's easier for him to walk now and his headaches aren't as bad anymore. He can finally read without anyone's help again and it also looks like he's not that obsessed with his accomplice anymore. I'm happy for him.
Hinode: He also seems to have changed as a person as well. He still prefers to spend most of his time alone, but he's not as.. "arrogant" anymore, maybe?
Hinode: Actually, it seems like he became closer with some other prisoners and not just Aimi-san.
Hinode: Those prisoners are Kei-san, Asahi-san and..
Hinode: .. Riku.
Miki: ...
Hinode: I knew about what happened between Akio-san and Riku before the second trial, so I was also.. shocked.
Hinode: However, Akio-san was the one who saved Riku when he tried to do.. that to himself, so maybe Riku is actually somewhat grateful to him?
Hinode: Looks like Aimi-san was a good influence on Akio-san, haha.
Miki: But what about Miyagawa-san's relationship with Aimi-chan?
Hinode: .. Well, let's talk about her then, shall we?
Hinode: Prisoner 002, Hanasaki Aimi.
Hinode: Aimi-san has been voted innocent, and to be honest..
Hinode: It seems to have really changed her as a person.
Hinode: Or maybe that's actually her letting her true colors show?
Hinode: I've expected her to be more happy about her only friend being voted innocent, but now that Akio-san is close with other prisoners and seems to have found friends in this place..
Hinode: .. Aimi-san is feeling lonely again now.
Hinode: She doesn't talk to Akio-san that much anymore. She doesn't talk to anyone actually.
Hinode: .. Except you, Miki-san.
Hinode: She seems to like you a lot.
Miki: .. Yes, she does.
Miki: She always says how I'm her "only friend" and that I'm the only person in this place who she can trust.
Miki: If I accidentally call her "Hanasaki-san" she stares at me with this weird look in her eyes and makes me call her "Aimi-chan" because "that's what I'm supposed to call her as her friend".
Miki: I just.. don't get it. I thought that if we vote her innocent, she'd act more..
Hinode: I think she's acting like this exactly because we voted her innocent.
Hinode: Aimi-san now thinks that she was in the right. She has been voted innocent twice now, of course she would think that.
Hinode: Of course she sees you as a friend. Because friends forgive each other.
Hinode: And even though you have.. also changed, you're still kind to her no matter what.
Hinode: So it's possible that..
Hinode: ...
Miki: What's wrong, Hinode-san?
Hinode: .. So, her brother thought that her classmates deserve to die for treating her like that, right?
Hinode: But what if he thought they deserve to die not only for bullying her, but also..
Hinode: .. For not being her friends?
Hinode: And since she killed him for "betraying her trust" in a way and doing something a friend wouldn't do..
Miki: .. She believes it's okay to hurt and even kill someone if they refuse to be friends with her?
Hinode: Possibly.
Hinode: And considering that she's been spending most of her time in her cell lately and writing something..
Hinode: .. Who knows what she's planning.
Hinode: Now..
Hinode: Prisoner 003, Ishizu Shun.
Hinode: Well, this one has caused us a lot of trouble.
Hinode: He really didn't take being voted guilty well.
Hinode: Considering his memory problems, his memory loss is much worse compared to other guilty prisoners.
Hinode: Thanks to the way this machine works, we can also watch the recording of him getting his memory erased for the first time.
Miki: Do we.. really have to watch it?
Hinode: I found some of the things he said very interesting, Miki-san. We are the guards of this place, so we have to pay attention to everything the prisoners say.
Miki: .. You're right.
(the recording starts playing)
(Shun: .. W-where am I?
Shun: .. W-who are you two?!
Shun: T-this doesn't look like my-
Shun: Wait, what are these clothes?!
Hinode: It's okay, take a deep breath. You're fine.
Shun: I don't understand.. I don't understand!
Shun: W-where are they?
Shun: Where are Hina and Jouhei?
Shun: TELL ME RIGHT NOW!
Miki: Hinode-san!
Shun: I AM GOING TO BREAK ALL OF YOUR LIMBS IF YOU DON'T TELL ME WHERE YOU'RE HIDING THEM!
Shun: You just want to ruin my happiness, don't you? All of you.. All of you think I don't deserve to be loved, right?!
Shun: *starts sobbing* I JUST WANTED TO BE HAPPY!)
Hinode: I'm still grateful to you for saving me back there.
Hinode: I don't know if it's because I'm not that physically strong, but I really felt like Shun-san was going to kill me.
Miki: If something happened to you, we would have two injured guards to deal with. I didn't want that.
Hinode: Haha, understandable.
Hinode: So, I guess now we know his victims' names.
Miki: There's something that bothers me about this.
Hinode: Really? What is it?
Miki: .. Why did he sound so worried about Hina-san's new boyfriend?
Miki: Actually, from what I remember, in the end of his second video, he was eating cake with both of them. And he looked happy and didn't mind Jouhei-san's company.
Miki: If he believed that Jouhei-san was a bad person who didn't deserve Hina-san, why would he want to spend time with him? Why would he worry about him?
Hinode: Maybe he actually liked them both, haha.
Miki: What was that?
Hinode: Never mind, that sounds stupid.
Hinode: It's just.. Shun-san likes both Kei-san and Eiko-san, right? And he also really wants to be loved..
Hinode: I feel like it wouldn't be out of character for him to be in love with both his "ex-girlfriend" and her new boyfriend even if he hated him at first.
Hinode: But that's just a theory~
Miki: .. Hinode-san, we're having a serious conversation here.
Hinode: Haha, sorry, sorry.
Hinode: Anyway, it took a while to make Shun-san go back to his cell and he actually tried to run away, believing that there must be some sort of exit.
Hinode: And when he actually did get his memories back..
Hinode: .. The first thing he did was attacking Kei-san right after he saw him eating with everyone.
Hinode: He really hated the fact that Kei-san got voted innocent while him and Eiko-san got voted guilty.
Hinode: .. He chose the wrong person to attack, however. Kei-san really did suffer from the consequences of being voted guilty in the past, but he can still fight back as long as he has a weapon.
Hinode: So, uh...
Hinode: M-maybe attacking Kei-san when he had something sharp in his hand wasn't the best idea.
Hinode: Oh well, at least they match now when it comes to eye injuries.
Hinode: Except Shun-san's eye is.. Uh..
Hinode: Pretty much gone-
Miki: Can we stop talking about it?
Hinode: Fine, fine.
Hinode: So, we can confidently say that Shun-san is one of the most dangerous prisoners right now. His relationship with Eiko-san is getting more and more weird too..
Hinode: He actually doesn't talk to anyone except Eiko-san now. He avoids Kei-san too, but every time he sees him, he looks angry and.. heartbroken, maybe?
Hinode: Looks like he really did like him.
Hinode: So, Prisoner 004, Chiba Naomi.
Hinode: Let's watch the recording first, since she got her memories taken too.
(the recording starts playing)
(Naomi: ...
Hinode: Okay, I think we're done.
Hinode: Naomi-san, how are you feeling?
Hinode: Naomi-san-
Naomi: .. M-mom?
Naomi: Mom, I'm sorry, I..
Naomi: *starts crying* I am so sorry.. for failing you..
Naomi: I just.. I don't know if I..
Naomi: I don't know if I want to-
Naomi: .. Huh?
Naomi: .. Who are you two?
Naomi: W-where am I? W-where is my mother?
Hinode: Calm down. Can you remember who you are?
Naomi: U-uh..
Naomi: M-my name is Chiba Naomi. I am 30 years old. I'm an elementary school teacher. I live in-
Hinode: Okay, it worked.)
Miki: The first thing she did when we took her memories was start crying for her mother..
Miki: I didn't know Chiba-san was so attached to her.
Hinode: I don't think she was attached to her in a good way though.
Hinode: The way she acted after losing her memories was very interesting.
Hinode: It's like.. At the same time she was more anxious, but she also was very friendly with all the youngest prisoners, even Asahi-san.
Hinode: Perhaps it's because she didn't remember what happened to her victim and how he treated her, since we took more memories from her than we did in Shun-san's case.
Hinode: Maybe she used to see her victim in Asahi-san, but since she forgot about her crime, she started to like him more.
Hinode: But then she got her memories back and..
Hinode: .. The glass cat figure.
Hinode: She broke it and put the glass shards in Asahi-san's food when no one was looking.
Miki: ...
Hinode: Are you okay, Miki-san?
Miki: My own little brother almost got killed, but sure, I'm okay.
Hinode: Got it, not okay at all, haha.
Hinode: Asahi-san was saved by Kei-san who noticed that something was wrong with the food and stopped him before he tried to eat it.
Hinode: I really didn't expect Kei-san out of all people to save him. You must be feeling very grateful to him.
Miki: .. I do, actually.
Miki: I did get him a strawberry milkshake as thanks later after that.
Hinode: This guy really made one prisoner lose an eye but saved another prisoner's life..
Hinode: Oh, by the way, let's talk about him now, shall we?
Hinode: Prisoner 005, Sanada Kei.
Hinode: His injuries are healing, thankfully, but I'm afraid there's not much we can do about his eye.
Hinode: Reina-san requested a new eyepatch for him, actually. A more.. uh, "cute" one, maybe?
Hinode: She really cares about him. At first she protected him from Yurika-san and now this..
Hinode: He got a new outfit and he feels much more comfortable in it now.
Hinode: It's like he's back to "normal" but he's also more.. I'm not sure how to say it..
Hinode: It's like, now he has people he's actually close with and he sticks with them?
Hinode: Though he is still very.. uh.. friendly with me, haha..
Miki: "I don't think Kei-san just wants to be friends with him.."
Hinode: But I think an innocent verdict really did have a good impact on him. He's still friends with Reina-san and he's now close with Asahi-san and some other prisoners as well.
Hinode: His relationship with them is much more healthy than whatever he had with Eiko-san and Shun-san.
Miki: .. I don't know if he will finally open up about his crime though.
Hinode: Well, Miki-san..
Hinode: Maybe he has a reason to be so afraid of talking about his crime.
Miki: Like what? And why do you think he's afraid of it and not just.. I don't know.. being mysterious, I guess?
Hinode: Well, let's think about it.
Hinode: Sanada Kei is a man who likes to be in control. When he sees someone he likes, he immediately tells them about it. He doesn't take no for an answer.
Hinode: .. But judging by how much he screamed during his punishment and how much pain it had caused him, he hates not being in control.
Hinode: He still has horrible scars on his back. He's shown crying and begging for help in his second viideo.
Hinode: Now, Miki-san, what is the worst thing that could ever happen to a man like that?
Miki: ...
Miki: .. I understand now.. I think.
Miki: L-let's talk about Yoshioka-san now.
Hinode: Okay.
Hinode: Prisoner 006, Yoshioka Eiko.
Hinode: Let's watch the recording first.
Hinode: Her behavior after the punishment was.. unexpected, to say the least.
(the recording starts playing)
(Eiko: ...
Eiko: T-takeru?..
Eiko: Where's Takeru?..
Eiko: H-have you two seen him?..
Eiko: Please, I just want him to reply.. Please..
Eiko: I don't know if he's even alive!
Eiko: And if he's alive..
Eiko: Why is he still.. ignoring me?..
Eiko: .. Maybe.. it actually would be better if he turned out to be dead.. haha..)
Hinode: After that she just started laughing and walked back to her cell. She didn't ask us anything about this place, she was too busy thinking about Takeru-san.
Hinode: We not only took memories of her crime, but some other memories as well, so she also didn't remember what Takeru-san did and why he stopped replying to her messages.
Hinode: I still wonder what exactly he did to make her kill him..
Hinode: I know, maybe it looks like Eiko-san is way too obsessed with him, but..
Hinode: To be honest, I can't help but feel like Takeru-san really wasn't the best partner for her.
Hinode: Well, whether it's her being too possessive or him being a manipulator..
Hinode: It's our job to find that out.
Hinode: Anyway, now Eiko-san is spending time only with Shun-san and doesn't talk to anyone else.
Hinode: Interestingly, it doesn't feel like she only sees him as her "bodyguard" anymore. It's like..
Hinode: She really does feel like she can't trust anyone else here.
Hinode: She also seems to really hate Yurika-san judging by the way she glares at her now.
Miki: She attacked Eiji-san and Yoshioka-san likes him a lot, so..
Miki: I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out she's plotting something.
Hinode: Yeah, we have to be careful with her.
Hinode: Prisoner 007, Yano Asahi.
Hinode: This poor boy is somehow getting better and getting more traumatized at the same time.
Hinode: He almost got killed by a woman he trusted and who is the only person that can be seen as a mother figure here.
Hinode: And it's possible this woman will try to kill him again since Naomi-san really is.. not doing good right now.
Hinode: But at least now he has people who can protect him.
Hinode: He likes Kei-san a lot now and follows him everywhere. Kei-san doesn't mind and even plays along and acts as his older brother.
Hinode: He plays the same role for other two prisoners actually.
Miki: ".. What is it with Kei-san being an actually good big brother for other prisoners, but not for his own little brother?"
Hinode: He's more open now and he smiles more often. Well, at least when Naomi-san isn't around.
Hinode: He's also still a little afraid of Yurika-san for obvious reasons, but he's okay with her company as long as he's with Kei-san.
Hinode: He also gets along surprisingly well with Akio-san now.
Hinode: You must be happy to see your little brother making so many friends here.
Miki: Y-yeah..
Miki: "But I'm also tired of them trying to kill him over and over.."
Hinode: Prisoner 008, Maruyama Yurika.
Hinode: It was.. really hard to punish her properly.
Hinode: When she found out about what happened to Shun-san, Naomi-san and Eiko-san, she decided to fight back and threatened to kill Riku and your brother if we did anything to her.
Hinode: .. That didn't work however, since you've knocked her out instantly.
Hinode: You.. are really taking advantage of your status as a guard now, haha..
Miki: .. I know that she's capable of killing Marito. I couldn't just let her do that.
Hinode: You really care about your brother a lot-
Miki: Yes, unlike you.
Hinode: ...
Miki: I'm pretty sure she doesn't know that me and Marito are related though. So why did she-
Hinode: She probably chose him because she noticed how close you two are and because he's the youngest one here.
Hinode: A-anyway, let's watch the recording.
(The recording starts playing)
(Yurika: .. Hey.
Yurika: Where am I?
Yurika: Ugh, did I really get sent to prison or something?
Yurika: Uhh, wait, I was told that if something like this happens, I'll-
Yurika: ...
(sounds of Yurika standing up)
Yurika: You'll never take me alive, losers!
Yurika: Gh-
Yurika: W-what are you-
Miki: Seriously.. Maruyama-san, you're not actually that strong.
Miki: It's easy for you to attack the weak ones, like children and the injured prisoners..
Miki: But what about someone who's stronger than them and can actually put up a fight?
Yurika: ...
Miki: Now, sleep well.)
Hinode: We actually had to take more of her memories later, since she still continued to act.. unstable and she only got better when we took memories of her being "betrayed" by her parents.
Hinode: After that she started to act like a young woman who.. uh.. comes from a quite rich family-
Miki: And who never had to work to make a living.
Miki: It was kind of annoying, but at least she didn't try to kill everyone.
Hinode: It would be nice if we could just leave her like this, but we still need more information from her, so we had to give her her memories back.
Hinode: She still likes to threaten everyone, but she doesn't actually do anything.
Hinode: It also seems that she's back to being friends with Reina-san.
Hinode: I wonder what made her have this sudden change of heart..
Hinode: .. Prisoner 009, Kuroki Riku.
Hinode: ...
Hinode: Let's watch the recording before I say anything.
(The recording starts playing)
(Riku: .. I hate him.
Riku: I hate him so much, I hate him so much, I hate him so much, I hate him so much..
Riku: I HATE HIM, I HATE HIM, I HATE HIM, I HATE HIM!
Riku: I am so done with this.. Why do I still have to spend time with him..
Riku: No..
Riku: Why can't I.. leave him already?
Riku: I hate him, right?.. So why can't I just tell him to leave me alone?..
Riku: I don't get it..
Riku: Huh.. I don't think I've seen this place before..
Riku: Well, it doesn't matter.
Riku: As long as he's not here, I'm fine with it.)
Hinode: .. He didn't even notice me.
Hinode: He didn't even notice his own brother, haha..
Hinode: Well, he does have some very strong feelings about Yue, so I shouldn't be surprised.
Miki: ...
Hinode: .. *sighs* I guess we still have to talk about.. that.
Hinode: Shortly after Riku got his memories back..
Hinode: .. He tried to kill or at least hurt himself by putting that hair dye he requested earlier into his tea.
Hinode: Thankfully, he was stopped by Akio-san, who noticed his drink looking strange and asked what was in it.
Hinode: While Riku was trying to come up with an answer, Akio-san looked closer, remembered Riku's request and realized that it was black hair dye.
Hinode: Riku was mad at Akio-san at first, but now..
Hinode: They get along really well, actually. I rarely see Riku without Akio-san and vice versa.
Hinode: I think it's because deep inside..
Hinode: Riku actually wanted someone to stop him. Maybe he even wanted it to be Akio-san.
Hinode: Maybe he wanted it to be him so that he could make sure Akio-san is not mad at him and has forgiven him.
Hinode: Riku seems to have become more social again and he spends a lot of time with Akio-san, Kei-san and some other prisoners.
Hinode: And now, finally..
Hinode: Prisoner 010, Himura Reina.
Hinode: She.. completely ignores us now.
Hinode: She said she doesn't care about our opinion anymore and she "has her own plans for this place", whatever that's supposed to mean.
Hinode: However, even though she's so cold now, she seems to have become quite popular among prisoners.
Hinode: She can be often seen with Kei-san, Yurika-san, Akio-san, Riku-san and Asahi-san.
Hinode: Aimi-san, Naomi-san, Shun-san and Eiko-san still avoid her though. I wonder why..
Miki: ...
Miki: I have a bad feeling about her becoming more popular.
Miki: And with these particular people too..
Hinode: Well, it's not like she can do anything to stop us or stop the trial from happening.
Hinode: Okay, that's the end of the report. We really should be more careful this time, now that we know what will happen to everyone after they receive their final verdicts.
Hinode: Are you ready, Miki-san?
Miki: .. I wonder what will happen to us after the third trial is over.
Hinode: W-well, they'll most likely just send us back home..
Hinode: Probably.
Miki: Also, where's Eiji-san?
Hinode: I've heard he will join us later, but I'm not sure when exactly.
Miki: .. Okay.
Miki: *stands up* Let's go, then.
Miki: We can't let ourselves make a wrong choice this time.
Miki: .. Let the third trial begin.

the no say gex vd.....
these two are so funny. guess kei really was serious when he said that he wants to see hinode later in his vd...
i. feel like kei's character should be a warning itself ashsjsjsk but anyway don't worry there are some mentions of violence but it doesn't end up being anything serious. also happy halloween everyone :)
(sounds of footsteps)
(the door opens)
Hinode: I'm here.
Hinode: Hm?..
Hinode: Why are you just.. standing there?
Kei: A-ah, sorry, sorry, I was just..
Kei: Lost in thought, you know!
Hinode: Oh, I see. That's good, I thought you were going to attack me. I wouldn't like that at all, haha.
Kei: Yeah, that would be bad, wouldn't it?
Kei: Especially considering that you're.. more of a weak type, aren't you?
Hinode: ...
Hinode: *laughs* Guess I am.
(sounds of Hinode sitting down)
Hinode: So, Kei-san, how about we make this quick? You did say that you want me to come to you after all of this is over, and here I am.
Hinode: My apologies if you meant that you wanted me to come to you right after we were done with the last prisoner, everyone's verdicts are very important, after all.
Kei: *sitting down* No, no, I'm not mad at you at all, haha.
Kei: .. Now that I think about it, I haven't seen other guards anywhere lately.
Kei: Did something happen?
Hinode: A-ah, no, no, everything is fine. They just need some rest.
Hinode: The third trial is going to end so soon, they must be prepared.
Kei: ...
Kei: You're kind of a bad liar.
Hinode: ...
Hinode: .. So you know.
Kei: *laughs* Of course I know. I'm the one who helped her with all of this.
Hinode: All of this was Reina-san's idea, correct?
Kei: Yep. She's the one who came up with it. I just helped with executing the plan.
Hinode: You broke the memory machine because she told you to?
Kei: And the cameras aren't working right because of me as well.
Hinode: .. You really should be punished for all of this. *laughs*
Kei: Then go on, show me what you've got.
Kei: I got voted guilty anyway, so I kinda deserved it.
Hinode: .. I'm not going to do anything to you. At least not until the trial officially ends.
Kei: Oh, right, what's up with that? Our verdicts got announced, but the trial is still technically going..
Hinode: Well, it's the last trial, so..
Hinode: We just need a little bit more preparation, that's all.
Kei: Who's "we"?
Hinode: ...
Kei: I know that Reina used the machine on Eiji and Miki. And I have a feeling that even though you could give them all their memories back, you didn't.
Hinode: ...
Kei: *laughs* Wow, even you got addicted to having so much power in your hands, huh? I shouldn't be surprised though, again, you're a weakling, no wonder you got excited at the thought of being the only one who can vote now.
Kei: And you still voted me guilty! Is this how you confess your love for me?
Kei: Oh, oh, did you want to see me suffer that bad? Seriously, we got so many guilty verdicts this time, not even my brother-
Kei: No, actually, hold on, this is so funny. *laughs* My brother claimed that everyone here will "get what they deserve" and that everyone will get voted guilty, but in the end, when he was active, only three prisoners got a verdict like that.
Kei: And you are the one who isn't as passionate about morals as the other guards, but you voted literally everyone guilty except Akio and Asahi.
Kei: Hm? Care to explain that?
Kei: Considering the punishment you came up with after the second trial, I'm sure that no matter how many times you say that you hate seeing people in pain, on the inside, you actually want them to suffer.
Kei: You want them to feel the same things that you went through. Isn't that right, Hinode?
Kei: Not judging, by the way. Who am I to judge a guard?
Kei: .. Something is bothering me though.
Hinode: .. Please, get straight to the point.
Hinode: Why did you want to see me?
Kei: Oh, right, right. Sorry, got distracted. You're just so fascinating to me.
Kei: I'm actually kinda surprised that you even.. came here.
Kei: I thought you'd just interpret this as a joke or something. Like come on, a prisoner like me asks you to come see him in the middle of the night? Nothing good can come out of it, that's for sure!
Hinode: Yeah, but to be honest.. I think even if you asked another guard to come, they would.
Hinode: If they.. still had their memories, of course.
Kei: Hm? Why?
Hinode: Well, Miki-san would be curious about it or she would think that you want her to help you with something.. Also, she just thinks you're pretty. *laughs*
Hinode: As for Eiji-san.. Well, he's Eiji-san.
Hinode: I think that no matter what he says, he really does care about you. But of course, I don't know that much about your relationship, that's just.. a feeling that I have.
Kei: ...
Kei: .. So.. do you remember why I asked you to come here back then?
Hinode: Because I basically solved your murder and you wanted to give me some kind of "prize"?
Kei: Correct~ Hehe, you're so smart, you deserve another prize just for this.
Kei: .. But seriously, you really are smart, Hinode. I've heard some prisoners say they found you.. a bit scary, haha.
Hinode: Scary? I was just guessing most of the time. I didn't do anything special, really.
Kei: See? That only makes you even more special!
Kei: (sounds of Kei leaning closer to Hinode) I just find people like you very.. interesting, that's all.
Hinode: .. Are you expecting something from me here?
Kei: Maybe I am, maybe I'm not.
Hinode: *sighs* Sorry to disappoint you, Kei-san, but I don't have much energy left. Just moving is too painful for me right now.
Kei: You're no fun..
Kei: Fine, fine, I'll go easy on you. I'll ask you one simple question, okay? I'm sure a smart guy like you will be able to answer it!
Kei: So..
Kei: .. What will happen to me?
Hinode: Huh?
Kei: You heard me. Guilty, innocent, guilty. These are my verdicts.
Kei: I don't really get it.. I guess if all I got was nothing but a guilty verdict, I'd probably be dead at this point, but do I get a more light punishment just because I got voted innocent once?
Kei: Can you solve this one for me, smart boy?
Hinode: ...
Hinode: Well, I don't think there's any point in hiding it anymore.
Hinode: You.. will be able to leave Milgram. But since you got voted guilty twice, the outside world will know everything about your crimes and it will be up to them to decide what to do with you.
Hinode: Don't ask how they will know about it. Milgram is just that powerful, I guess.
Kei: ...
Kei: Haha.. I-I see.. So I'll be able to go home..
Kei: W-well, it's okay. If I get to see Ruka again, maybe going to prison won't be that bad-
Kei: .. Who am I kidding, I'll probably just get killed for this.
Kei: Though I'm not sure.. I-I mean.. Does my job also count as my crime? W-will they know about that too?
Hinode: I'm not sure. I'm assuming they won't, since you were judged only for your murder.
Kei: I see..
Kei: I-I.. did kill, like.. five women, haha..
Kei: That's probably, like, really bad..
Kei: I-It's okay, I'm sure Mom and Dad will help me out.
Hinode: .. You depend on your parents that much?
Kei: It's fine, it's fine, they've been doing some not really legal stuff for such a huge part of their lives, they can handle it!
Kei: I-I'm gonna be fine. I'm gonna be fine.
Hinode: ...
Hinode: If you don't have any other questions for me, I think I should leave-
Kei: *grabs Hinode's arm* W-wait!
Kei: ...
Kei: .. H-hey, Hinode..
Kei: A-aren't you.. a guard of this prison too?
Kei:T-then why can I.. touch you right now?
Hinode: .. It's none of your business.
Kei: .. Haha..
Kei: S-so, you're not really protected by this prison, are you? Just like Eiji?
Kei: Ahaha.. Then this will just make things easier for me.
(sounds of Kei making Hinode fall on the floor)
Hinode: Y-you're really just.. taking advantage of me like this, haha..
Kei: Why wouldn't I? All prisoners here are murderers, including me. Why wouldn't I do "bad stuff" like this?
Kei: You're one of the guards, you should have known that.
(sounds of Kei getting on top of Hinode)
Kei: Unless.. you're not really a guard?
Hinode: I..
Hinode: Ah-
(sounds of Hinode getting choked)
Kei: This is what I meant when I said something was bothering me.
Kei: Unless my memory is lying to me, I broke Miki's memory machine, right?
Kei: But the thing is.. I know that she still used one on the other prisoner later.
Kei: Yurika turned on the voice recorder Reina got as a present earlier before her interrogation started, because she was afraid the guards will try to do something with her memories.
Kei: And guess what, she turned out to be right! You guys really love to abuse your power.
Kei: So when it was all over, Yurika listened to the recording and she remembered what happened. That was actually a very smart move on her part, I was a bit surprised, considering how.. "impulsive" she is most of the time.
Kei: She told the other prisoners about it and that's how we found out that the other machine was still used before Reina used it herself on Eiji and Miki.
Kei: But something doesn't add up. Can you guess what it is?
Hinode: ..T-to steal the machine..
Hinode: S-she'd have to.. touch..
Kei: Exactly! We can't touch you guys at all. It's almost like there's some kind of invisible wall protecting you or something.
Kei: So unless Reina was really careful and managed to take that thing out of Miki's pocket without even touching her body, she'd never be able to do that.
Kei: And listen, I know about her past. I know that she stole things often, I think she'd be capable of doing that without even touching Miki.
Kei: But she wouldn't even think about stealing Miki's machine.
Kei: Because I was told to break it.
Kei: For some reason, Reina wanted me to get rid of only Miki's machine. Probably because she thought Miki would use it more often, so she wanted to stop Miki first.
Kei: That means that she'd have to take your machine and use it on Eiji and Miki.
Kei: But again, something just doesn't add up! You two are so complicated!
Hinode: C-can you let me go-
Kei: Nope, not done with you yet.
Kei: If you were the only one with a memory machine that was still working, then why did Miki use one on Yurika?
Hinode: ...
Kei: Did she borrow it from you, Hinode?
Kei: Or maybe you gave it to her yourself?
Hinode: ...
Hinode: .. T-the latter..
Kei: Ohh, I see, I see! Haha, you're so kind to her. Careful, she might fall in love with you, if she hasn't already.
Kei: But once again, something doesn't add up! Because if you were so generous to offer your machine to her..
Kei:Why did Reina tell us that she used your machine on Eiji and Miki?
Hinode: ...
Kei: You know, we got some time after the trial, so me and some other prisoners gathered and just talked about stuff. Like friends do, I guess.
Kei: And when Reina's plan was mentioned, I clearly remember her saying that she went for your machine.
Kei: And you know what made it very confusing to her, but she didn't think much about it when she did it?
Kei: She tried her best to be careful, but she still ended up touching you.
Kei: But how could she touch you? Come on, you're literally a guard, aren't you?
(sounds of Hinode struggling to breathe)
Kei: Just tell me who you are already.
Kei: You know way too much about everyone and everything. It's kinda scary.
Hinode: I-I'm just..
Hinode: I-I was only meant t-to.. replace E-Eiji-san.. Nothing else.
Kei: Replace?.. Ah, so you were forced to work as a guard only because my brother wasn't.. able to do his job?
Kei: Haha.. Yurika, you really shouldn't have done that to him..
Hinode: W-well, they also needed the third guard.. s-so that the verdicts..
Kei: Oh, oh, wait, what? What about the verdicts?
Hinode: C-can you.. let me..
Kei: Fine, fine. Forgot that you need to breathe for a sec.
(sounds of Kei letting go and Hinode breathing heavily)
Hinode: I-if.. If Eiji-san and Miki-san.. had different opinions.. and wouldn't be able t-to.. agree on a verdict..
Hinode: I-I was supposed to help them with that.
Kei: Oh? So this prison really wants the verdicts to be clear and straightforward, huh?
Kei: Interesting.. Hey, does that mean that I can touch you because this prison doesn't actually see you as a guard?
Hinode: .. Yes.
Kei: Whoa.. Man, if only I knew that I can touch you before..
Kei: Okay, another question!
Hinode: Can I just leave-
Kei: Nuh-uh, getting to spend time like this with me is your reward, so make sure to appreciate it, okay?
Kei: So, if a prisoner was supposed to get executed..
Kei: .. Who would execute them?
Kei: Is it one of the guards? Maybe somebody else?
Hinode: .. Why are you asking me out of all people?
Kei: I have a feeling that you know about it. Just like you, I'm just guessing.
Hinode: .. All I know is that it's most likely not going to be one of the guards. Now let me go.
Kei: Can you be just a little bit more specific for me? Pleeeease?
Kei: Like who is it going to be? Is it someone who works in this prison other than the guards? Is it someone we haven't met yet?
Hinode: ...
Hinode: .. F-fine.
Hinode: The trial is going to end soon, so there's no point in keeping it secret, I guess.
Hinode: You should get prepared for it too-
(the door opens)
Jackalope: "Guard 003", Kuroki Hinode.
Jackalope: The third trial is about to end. Please, come with me.
Hinode: .. Just let me take my medicine first.
Hinode: Or.. Never mind, I'll just take it with me.

I'm not too surprised to see that your ratio of guilty prisoners went up in t2 while mine went down (Haku getting 2 inno verdicts is crazy he already spelled out his crime do not let him get away with it) WAIT NAOMI IS GUILTY!! OH BOY
Thank you Hinode for saying what I've been thinking about Naomi. "It’s like Chiba-san really does think she’s guilty but deep inside she wants someone to say that they forgive her." Didn't everyone not blame her for her crime?? Isn't that why she wanted to be voted guilty in t1? I want her being annoying in her t3 vd like Daisuke. Gender equality /j
Having a guard explain a prisoner's crime because they were there is so cool actually. And it's something that's only possible because the guards are related to the prisoners and retain their memories. A very linagram thing :D

THE SECOND TRIAL IS OFFICIALLY OVER. YIPPEEEEEEEEE 🎉🎉🎉 i was about to type "are we ready to see them suffer even more" but ykw. ykw. some characters actually are going to get better :) and some relationship dynamics are going to become a bit more wholesome. some other ones though...
Hinode: So, Miki-san, are you ready to start?
Miki: ...
Hinode: If you want, I can do the talking instead.
Miki: .. N-no, I'm fine. I don't want you to waste your energy on this, so..
Hinode: Haha, you're too kind.
Miki: I just.. I don't get it. Why did they choose you as a guard? It's too hard for you to even walk and they're making you go through all of this..
Miki: A-ah, it's not like I'm saying you're weak or a burden or anything like that-
Hinode: Well, Eiji-san's arms and legs are covered in bandages and he's in a constant pain, but he still was forced to become a guard, so..
Hinode: It looks like they don't really care about things like that.
Hinode: I'm fine, Miki-san, trust me. Please don't worry about me, okay?
Miki: .. O-okay.
Miki: S-so, the second trial has ended and all prisoners know what verdicts they got this time.
Hinode: I imagine not all of them were satisfied with the result.
Miki: .. Yeah. Definitely.
Miki: So, um, let's start with the first prisoner, I guess.
Miki: Prisoner 001, Miyagawa Akio.
Miki: If we voted him guilty, even though Eiji-san is not able to do the punishing himself right now, we'd still have to do something to him and..
Miki: Considering his condition, that would simply kill him.
Hinode: Also, from what I've heard, his accomplice really was responsible for most of the work.
Hinode: I agree, it does sound like him just trying to shift the blame, but also..
Hinode: For some reason, I believe him.
Miki: *nods* S-so, he was voted innocent this time.
Miki: Um, Hinode-san, if it's okay.. Remember those questions you made everyone answer?
Hinode: Right. You want to know everyone's answers?
Miki: Y-yes, please. If you don't mind, of course.
Hinode: I have all of the papers with me. Let's see..
Hinode: I can tell by Akio-san's handwriting just how hard it was for him to write. He really was in pain.
Hinode: He talks a lot about his accomplice here. He really misses him a lot, haha..
Hinode: Sorry, that was a bad joke.
Miki: No, no, I.. think he really does miss him.
Hinode: According to Akio-san's answers, his accomplice was responsible for most of the "dirty work" related to their murder. He was the one who did the "physical" aspect of it, but Akio-san was the one who came up with everything.
Miki: H-he admitted it himself?..
Hinode: Yes. I guess this is what happens when someone's in so much pain: they start telling the truth without even noticing it.
Miki: So.. For some reason, Milgram saw Miyagawa-san as the actual murderer?
Hinode: I think it's because, again, he was the one who planned everything. Also, it was his wish to see Chise-san dead that motivated him to murder the boy. If it wasn't for that, it's possible that Chise-san would still be alive.
Hinode: .. I have my doubts though.
Miki: Hm? About what exactly?
Hinode: About Chise-san still being alive. I think it's possible that someone else would've still killed him even if it wasn't for Akio-san.
Miki: .. You're talking about Miyagawa-san's accomplice, aren't you?
Hinode: Yes. I think he would've still tried to kill him even if Akio-san refused to do it himself or join him.
Miki: May I ask why you think so?
Hinode: You can read Akio-san's answers later, if you want.
Hinode: I wonder how he reacted to hearing about his verdict.
Miki: He looked shocked at first, but then he sighed loudly and actually looked relieved for a moment. Before I told him that he was forgiven, he was.. shaking. It's like..
Miki: It's like he thought that we're going to punish him again.
Hinode: Haha, well, it's good to hear that he's happy about his verdict.
Hinode: I hope his condition gets better too. I hate seeing people in pain.
Miki: "Hinode-san sounds like a very nice person.. Maybe he will go easy on the guilty prisoners?"
Miki: "Actually.. I'm still not sure who exactly should punish the guilty prisoners this time."
Miki: "It used to be Eiji-san's job, but.."
Miki: "Never mind."
Miki: N-now.. Prisoner 002, Hanasaki Aimi.
Miki: Even though Eiji-san and some prisoners found her relationship with Miyagawa-san suspicious..
Miki: And her second video was darker and scarier than the first one..
Miki: We still voted her innocent.
Hinode: She had to go through so much, I can't imagine how she would react to getting voted guilty right after she found people that she thought she can trust.
Hinode: I can't help but feel sorry for her. Her problems just feel so..
Hinode: .. I just know a person who had to go through a similar thing, haha.
Miki: ".. Is he talking about his brother?"
Miki: Also, even though we still don't know some details of her murder, now we can say for certain that the murder took place at the amusement park that Hanasaki-san's family owned and Hanasaki-san had an accomplice.
Hinode: And her accomplice was..
Miki: .. I think it was her older brother.
Miki: It wouldn't make sense for a classmate or someone else to help her. It also took place at her family's amusement park and of course, a family member would know at least something about how it works. I doubt it would be a parent or a grandparent, so..
Hinode: Also remember what she said during that one interrogation?
Hinode: "Oh well, he's dead anyway".
Hinode: So, her accomplice is definitely a man and.. he's also dead.
Hinode: And her video even shows her killing her accomplice in the end.
Miki: .. So, Hanasaki-san is at least partially responsible for killing her classmates and she also killed her accomplice with her own hands..
Miki: And that accomplice was her own older brother..
Miki: S-she has a reason for doing that, right, Hinode-san? I mean, she has to!..
Miki: If she doesn't-
Hinode: That means you won't be able to forgive her?
Miki: .. I don't know. I-I don't want to think about it.
Miki: It's just.. I can understand why she would want to kill her classmates. I really do feel sorry for her. But her own brother?..
Hinode: Actually, judging from what she wrote here, her relationship with her brother was.. a bit strange.
Miki: Really? But I thought they were close..
Hinode: Oh, Miki-san, being close with someone doesn't always mean you have a perfect and healthy relationship with that person.
Hinode: A-anyway, how did she react to her verdict?
Miki: .. She smiled and ran to give me a hug and said that she knew I will forgive her this time as well.
Miki: "Because we're friends, after all"..
Miki: .. Prisoner 003, Ishizu Shun.
Miki: He looked like he really wanted to attack Eiji-san and even enjoyed seeing him terrified. And his video showed him killing his victim..
Miki: W-well, victims.
Hinode: Even someone like you couldn't forgive him this time, huh?
Miki: .. I don't want him to try to attack Eiji-san when he comes back.
Miki: And.. I just thought that my forgiveness won't save him this time.
Hinode: So, let's see..
Hinode: He claimed that he only killed his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend, correct?
Hinode: But his video clearly showed him killing both his ex and her boyfriend.
Hinode: Do you think he knows she's dead as well and he's just in denial or lying or he genuinely doesn't remember killing her?
Miki: .. I feel like he doesn't remember killing her and whenever he does remember it, he just tries to deny it.
Miki: When Eiji-san asked him if she's still alive, he refused to answer and just stared blankly at us and asked which girlfriend he's talking about.
Hinode: Speaking of Shun-san having multiple girlfriends.. What can you say about that?
Miki: Um, I don't know much about that topic..
Miki: But I guess they weren't real?
Miki: Judging from his video, it looked like Ishizu-san used video games and other things as something that could help him escape from his real life problems.
Miki: And because of his mental health issues, he wasn't able to tell which one is fiction and which one is reality and started to believe the connections and relationships he formed in those games were real.
Hinode: .. *laughs*
Hinode: Oh, sorry, sorry. It's just..
Hinode: You know, there could've been some kind of twist, like, imagine him actually having so many girlfriends and not remembering him killing them..
Hinode: But no, he was just being delusional.
Hinode: I guess we expected too much from him.
Hinode: But I wonder just how he met that girl. To be honest, I feel like they weren't in any kind of relationship and he just made that all up and started to think that his fantasies are actually real.
Miki: .. You're saying he started to stalk a random girl and believed that she's actually his ex-girlfriend?
Hinode: It's possible.
Miki: ...
Miki: "W-why do I feel so disgusted whenever I think about Ishizu-san?"
Miki: So, when I told him about his verdict..
Miki: H-he didn't take it well.
Miki: He started panicking and mumbling something about it not making any sense and..
Miki: He tried to attack me, haha..
Miki: But he still wasn't able to touch me, so.. I'm okay.
Miki: "I still don't understand why the prisoners can touch Eiji-san, but they can't touch me.."
Hinode: Hmm..
Hinode: It looks like we've made the right decision, but this guy will definitely cause us a lot of trouble.
Miki: Right..
Miki: Prisoner 004, Chiba Naomi.
Hinode: She was a hard one.
Miki: May I ask why you voted her guilty, Hinode-san? I thought you'd sympathize with her..
Hinode: Well, you see..
Hinode: I hate seeing people in pain, I really do. And I don't want Naomi-san to end up in even more pain. However..
Hinode: First of all, her victim was a child. A ten year old. Who knows how long his life could've been if it wasn't for her.
Hinode: And second of all, her motive. Didn't she reveal that her killing that child was her "fighting for independence"?
Hinode:*laughs* God, this sounds so weird.
Hinode: She just got tired of that kid and got mad at him for calling her out.
Hinode: Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that kids can't be.. "evil", but so far I haven't seen any serious threats in her videos. It was just him laughing at her and "bullying" her in a way.
Hinode: But isn't she 30 years old? She's a teacher. She should be able to handle this. It's almost like she got so used to all of her students being so nice and polite, she completely forgot that kids can be annoying.
Hinode: And.. I think adults like that deserve to be punished.
Miki: .. Maybe you're right.
Hinode: Also, I read her answers and she seems to really dislike Asahi-san. Just what is her deal with kids..
Miki: .. C-can I also read that later?
Hinode: Sure.
Miki: "Why do I feel happy that I agreed to vote her guilty now?"
Hinode: By the way, how did she react to her verdict?
Miki: .. She wasn't happy about it.
Miki: It took her a moment to realize what happened and then she just started laughing uncontrollably. And then she sighed, looked at me and said..
Miki: "Well, you're the guard. Who am I to say that your decisions don't make any sense?"
Hinode: Doesn't sound like something a prisoner who truly wanted to be voted guilty would say.
Hinode: Who knows, maybe she was pretending to be nicer than she really is.
Miki: I feel like it's more complicated than that..
Miki: "It's like Chiba-san really does think she's guilty, but deep inside she wants someone to say that they forgive her.."
Miki: Prisoner 005, Sanada Kei.
Miki: .. Watching his video was.. hard.
Hinode: And painful.
Hinode: Just what did those women do to him?
Miki: .. I think it's related to those scars Eiji-san had mentioned.
Hinode: .. But why would they do that to him?
Miki: There was this moment in the video, when one of the women found some of the photographs made by Kei-san and she looked.. disgusted.
Miki: Maybe you already know about.. uh.. Kei-san's job.
Hinode: I do. You think she found those particular photos?
Miki: .. I think so.
Hinode: I find it interesting that Kei-san got so scared. I thought a person with a job like that would be more careful and would have a plan in case something like that happens.
Hinode: Maybe he believed that he would never get caught?
Miki: I'm just trying to understand..
Miki: Did those women try to..
Miki: Attack him, maybe? Did they think that he was going to do the same to them and that's why he invited them?
Hinode: But hey, why else would he invite them?
Miki: W-well..
Miki: ...
Miki: Actually, you're right. Why did he invite them to his house?
Miki: He had so many photographs of those women and it looked like he had some kind of plan..
Hinode: .. Perhaps he was already thinking of murdering them?
Miki: B-but why would he do that?! What did those women even do to him? I mean, before attacking him and all..
Hinode: From what I remember, those women also appeared in his first video and if I'm not wrong, they were dating his friends.
Hinode: Maybe.. something happened between him and his friends?
Miki: .. I feel like I might have an idea.
Hinode: Really? Please share.
Miki: I-I'm not so sure right now and I need more time to figure this out, but..
Miki: Kei-san's.. "partner" played a big part in his second video. And he also appeared in the first one too.
Miki: I have a feeling that it's not just because he's important to Kei-san, but it's also because he played an important role in Kei-san's crime as well.
Miki: Some lyrics of his song were also.. strange..
Miki: "Do I wanna be seen as strong? Do I wanna be seen as weak? I don't know, but just hug me already".
Miki: Or "Maybe I should accept that this world won't accept me".
Miki: Just what could those lyrics possibly mean?..
Miki: Oh, and when I told him about his verdict, he got really surprised and when I confirmed that it's true and he was forgiven, he laughed and asked..
Miki: "Just how does the guards' thought process work?"
Miki: H-he probably asked that because of us voting him guilty that last time. He looked happy, though he asked me about Eiji-san's condition..
Miki: And I couldn't give him an answer.
Miki: Prisoner 006, Yoshioka Eiko.
Miki: .. Both of us agreed that she should be voted guilty.
Miki: She's a bad influence for both Ishizu-san and Kei-san and she also doesn't feel any remorse for what she did.
Miki: I feel a bit.. sorry for her though.
Miki: I mean.. What if her victim really wasn't a good boyfriend-
Hinode: Does that mean he deserved to die?
Miki: N-no! No, of course not!
Miki: But.. I don't know. I can't say that Yoshioka-san is a bad person, but she clearly treats some of her fellow prisoners horribly.
Miki: And she doesn't feel any regret and thinks it's completely okay to do those things.
Miki: And also.. Her reaction to Kei-san hurting Eiji-san worries me.
Miki: She said that if anything happens, Eiji-san should tell her.
Hinode: .. Hey, wasn't it Yurika-san who broke Eiji-san's arm?
Miki: *nods*
Miki: .. Oh no.
Hinode: I think we should keep an eye on both of them, just in case.
Miki: When I told her about her verdict, she just rolled her eyes and said:
Miki: "Don't know what you saw in that video, but I guess it's understandable".
Hinode: .. At least she's chill when it comes to that.
Miki: She did ask me about Eiji-san and her eyes looked a little bit darker than usual, so..
Miki: M-maybe restraining her a bit wouldn't hurt.
Miki: Prisoner 007, Yano Asahi.
Miki: We decided to vote him innocent.
Miki: He.. he didn't look so well when me and Eiji-san interrogated him last time.
Miki: I don't know if he would be able to calm down if it wasn't for me.
Miki: Ah, it's not like I'm bragging or anything-
Hinode: No, no, you should be proud of yourself. You've calmed him down and comforted him when he needed it. You did a good job.
Miki: .. Ehehe~
Miki: His video was.. one of the hardest ones to watch.
Hinode: It clearly showed him as not the best person and he was more than okay with taking advantage of his adoptive mother's money.
Hinode: However, we should also remember that these videos are not only showing us the prisoners' extracted memories, but also their thoughts and we can see everything in the way the prisoners themselves saw their crimes.
Hinode: Do you think it's possible that Asahi-san feels guilty for his murder and the way he treated his adoptive mother?
Miki: .. I think it is. I doubt he would have reacted in the same way if he didn't feel anything. He was panicking, he refused to talk about it and he clearly looked traumatized. If he didn't feel bad about his murder, he wouldn't show any of those emotions.
Hinode: It's almost like you're speaking from experience, Miki-san.
Miki: .. W-what do you mean by-
Hinode: Or maybe you just understand children really well, haha.
Miki: .. Ahem.
Miki: And also.. he tries really hard to forget about what happened.
Miki: He never calls her his mother, only "that woman", not only because he doesn't see her as his mother, but also because it's almost like he's trying to push those memories away.
Miki: She's not his victim or anything, she's just.. "that woman".
Miki: "And also.."
Miki: ".. I can't believe I had to see him again while I was watching Marito's video."
Miki: "I almost broke the screen when I saw him, haha.."
Hinode: Miki-san, is everything alright? You look.. pale.
Miki: I-I'm fine, I'm fine.
Miki: .. Hm, come to think of it..
Miki: I'm not sure if you know about it, Hinode-san, but Asahi-san used to have..
Miki: Um.. An "imaginary friend" based on his mother. Or maybe his "idea" of a perfect mother.
Miki: And I've just realized that he kinda.. stopped talking to her or about her.
Miki: Maybe something happened-
Hinode: Maybe it's because he has you now?
Miki: .. Huh?
Hinode: O-oh, don't get me wrong! I don't mean it in a "he sees you as a mother figure" way.
Hinode: I mean it in more of a "he's not alone anymore" way.
Miki: .. Oh.
Miki: .. When I told him about his verdict, he looked really happy.
Miki: He even ran to hug me and thanked me, haha.
Miki: ".. I wonder if he will remember who I am one day. But I don't want to tell him yet, I'm afraid I will make him remember we had to go through.."
Miki: Prisoner 008, Maruyama Yurika.
Miki: .. Guilty. She's guilty.
Hinode: She broke Eiji-san's arm, threatened to start hurting the other prisoners, is definitely capable of doing that, considering that she had attacked Asahi-san in the past and almost attacked Kei-san and her video was..
Hinode: Even worse than Kei-san and Asahi-san's videos combined.
Miki: But I still don't understand anything. I still don't know how her crime went and we're supposed to judge them based on their crimes!..
Hinode: Not necessarily. We can judge them based on anything.
Hinode: And her being dangerous for us and other prisoners is most certainly a valid reason to vote her guilty.
Hinode: As for her video..
Hinode: I wonder just what kind of job she did while working at a maid cafe.
Hinode: It definitely doesn't seem legal.
Miki: If she has experience with torturing people and kidnapping them..
Miki: .. Huh.
Miki: T-there's this scene in her video where Maruyama-san and her.. manager, I assume, are filling everyone's buckets with some kind of liquid. And she says that "Everyone has their own needs and it's our job to satisfy them".
Miki: I think we should think about that scene more to understand what kind of job she had.
Miki: And I feel like her crime is related to her job too..
Miki: Ah, but that's just my opinion though-
Hinode: You know you sound like a real detective right now? *laughs*
Hinode: Seriously, Miki-san, you're really smart. Sorry for just sitting and listening to you like this, but I really am impressed.
Miki: .. Haha..
Hinode: W-why is your face becoming so red-
Miki: A-anyway, just as I've expected, she got mad at me when I told her about her verdict.
Hinode: Did she try to-
Miki: Yes, she tried to attack me just like Ishizu-san, but I just knocked her out. It's fine.
Hinode: .. Knocked her out?..
Hinode: Miki-san, you're stronger than I thought..
Hinode: .. We will definitely have to restrain her, huh..
Miki: Prisoner 009, Kuroki Riku.
Miki: .. Hinode-san-
Hinode: Yes, this is my brother. Yes.
Miki: .. I'm sorry.
Hinode: It's fine. I voted him guilty myself.
Miki: B-but why?! Why would you vote your own brother guilty? Do you want to see him in pain?!
Hinode: It's because I know everything about his crime, Miki-san.
Miki: !
Hinode: When everyone started talking about Yue-kun's death, I knew that Riku had something to do with it.
Hinode: Riku told everyone just how much he loved Yue-kun, but he was honest with me and even when he didn't say anything, I could see in his eyes just how much he hated that guy.
Hinode: He wanted him dead, Miki-san. And he would do anything to achieve his goal.
Miki: .. But why didn't you stop him?
Hinode: .. When even waking up is too physically painful for you, you don't have enough time and energy to talk your brother out of murdering his best friend.
Miki: .. May I ask what was your first thought after you found out about Shiozaki-san's death?
Hinode: I just turned to Riku, who was watching TV with me and quietly asked him if it was him.
Miki: And what did he do?
Hinode: He smiled and left the room.
Hinode: Listen, I don't want to see him in pain. I don't want to hurt him. But I want Riku to understand that even though he really was a victim in a way..
Hinode: Murder isn't an answer. At least it definitely wasn't the right answer for him.
Hinode: He really could've just talked to Yue-kun. Maybe Yue-kun wouldn't like it, but at least Riku could say that he tried.
Hinode: But instead he decided to abuse his popularity and turn all of his classmates into loyal dogs that followed his every move and listened to his every command.
Miki: So what you're saying is..
Hinode: Yes, Miki-san. Riku made his entire class and possibly other students bully Yue-kun into committing suicide.
Miki: .. B-but do you think his death really was-
Hinode: I doubt it. Especially considering the way Riku's first video ends.
Miki: .. When I told him about his verdict..
Miki: .. He just asked me to bring him some hair dye later.
Miki: He said he wants to dye his hair black before he gets punished, haha..
Hinode: Are you planning on doing that?
Miki: O-of course! Even if we voted him guilty, I still want to fulfill his request before..
Miki: Well.. you know.
Miki: And finally..
Miki: Prisoner 010, Himura Reina.
Miki: .. We voted her innocent. Again.
Hinode: She didn't like that, did she?
Miki: She has to accept that it's the only way she can be saved. I don't think Himura-san deserves to be punished.
Miki: If Himura-san can accept that she deserves to be forgiven.. I think everything will get better for her after that.
Hinode: We never see her killing someone directly. It's always her witnessing a murder or hiding the body..
Hinode: No matter how much she tries to portray herself as guilty, her videos can't lie.
Miki: And.. Now we know that her "victim" was her little brother.
Miki: But I still don't understand what happened to him. If Himura-san is somehow responsible for his death, but she's not the murderer, then..
Miki: Who is?
Hinode: Maybe his death was an accident, but it could've been prevented if Himura-san was there?
Miki: If that's the case..
Miki: ...
Miki: "I wanted to say that she doesn't deserve to be here, but also.."
Miki: "Marito running away was an accident too. I didn't mean for that to happen."
Miki: "So if we're guilty of doing almost the same thing.."
Hinode: Hey, Miki-san.
Hinode: When you say that she doesn't deserve to be punished, does that mean you think that somebody else in this prison deserves to be punished?
Miki:...
Miki: I-it's okay.
Miki: When Eiji-san was punishing them, he was.. I have to say that he was really cruel for no reason.
Miki: I really do respect Eiji-san, but he punished them not to save them, but to torture them.
Miki: But when I punish them.. I do it because I love everyone here.
Miki: Uh, even Maruyama-san.
Miki: I really do want to save them. I want them to get better.
Miki: So if punishing them will help them understand that they've done something wrong and they will try to change for the better..
Miki: I don't see any problem with it.
Hinode: .. Heh. I see.
Hinode: It's actually a good thing though because I was worried that you might not like the new punishment method.
Miki: .. The new punishment method?
Hinode: Well, since it used to be Eiji-san's job, now we're the ones who have to punish the guilty prisoners, right?
Miki: B-but what about you not wanting to-
Hinode: I hate seeing people in pain, Miki-san.
Hinode: I hate seeing them in physical pain.
Hinode: I feel like punishing everyone physically is just so.. tasteless. Everyone can cry and suffer if you hurt them too badly, what's so special about it?
Hinode: I've spent my whole life in pain like that. I know what it's like and I hate it when it's used as a punishment.
Hinode: But this method isn't about the physical pain. It's more about..
Hinode: Here. Do you see this little thing?
Miki: It looks like some kind of.. remote, maybe? It's pretty small though..
Hinode: Yes, you're supposed to keep it in your pocket actually. Make sure to always have it on you.
Miki: But what does it do?
Hinode: Well, you need everyone's memories to see their videos, right? Otherwise their videos simply can't be created.
Hinode: And this thing..
Hinode: This thing extracts everyone's memories, but doesn't turn them into videos or whatever. It simply keeps them inside.
Hinode: You can also give those memories back if you so desire.
Miki: ...
Hinode: I know, this might sound strange, Miki-san, but considering that we have a whole music video machine, this shouldn't be surprising.
Miki: .. And.. Why exactly do we need this machine? What are we going to use it for?
Hinode: I have one with me as well. There's two of them.
Hinode: So, uh.. You see, Miki-san.. *laughs*
Hinode: I was planning to kind of.. play with the guilty prisoners' memories a little bit.
Miki: !
Hinode: For example, maybe we can take the memories of their childhood and see what kind of people they would become without them. Maybe we can take the memories of their murder and see how they would act.
Hinode: We can't actually watch the memories we've taken from them though, which is a shame.
Miki: .. And.. How will they-
Hinode: Ah, the physical side effects may be..
Hinode: *takes a breath* Dissociation, dizziness, headache, anxiety, depression, nausea, mood swings, even bigger memory loss in the process..
Hinode: But at least it's not cutting their fingers off or beating them up, right?
Miki: .. Can't we come up with a better punishment?
Hinode: But I thought you wanted to save everyone, Miki-san.
Hinode: It's not going to hurt. They're not going to feel any pain. They're just gonna forget some things, actually, it might make them happier.
Hinode: And if anything goes wrong, we can just give those memories back to them.
Miki: .. A weird question, but where did you get this machine?
Hinode: Oh, uh..
Hinode: The rabbit thing from earlier gave it to me.
Miki: ...
Miki: I have a bad feeling about this.
Hinode: Come on, Miki-san, you know we have to do something to the guilty prisoners.
Miki: Can't we just restrain them?! Can't we just lock them up or something?!
Hinode: You will be in control, Miki-san.
Hinode: You can always adjust the settings. You can even choose how many memories you wish to extract.
Hinode: You can go for a small memory loss or a big one.
Hinode: It's your choice. They don't have to lose all of their memories and they don't have to lose them forever.
Hinode: It's not like they're going to turn into mindless zombies and their brains are going to melt.
Miki: ...
Hinode: .. Are you ready to give it a try?
Miki: .. I-I'll go pay a visit to Ishizu-san.
***
???: It seems like the third trial is going to start soon. Are you excited?
???: Hm?.. I don't know, should I?
???: It's like.. I want to know how all of this ends, but at the same time..
???: These guards are way too slow. They're not even trying to uncover this place's secrets.
???: But.. Isn't that actually good for us? I mean, that would be a pain to deal with.
???: True, but it also would be more entertaining.
???: These guys just feel like lab rats to me. They're so obsessed with their morals, they don't feel like real people to me, haha.
???: "Everyone is guilty!" "No, everyone is innocent!" A bunch of clowns, that's who they are.
???: *sighs* Well, at least the future guards should be more fun.
???: Ah, have you already made your choice?
???: Yeah. Here, take a look.
???: ...
???: .. O-oh. U-understood.
???: Sorry about this. I know it sounds like I don't care, but..
???: No, no, I.. I understand.
???: I will-
???: Woah, this tea tastes really good!
???: Oh, sorry for interrupting you. Anyway, can you tell Jackalope to bring this to, uh.. you know, that girl?
???: S-sure, but.. Sorry if this sounds rude, but why can't you do it yourself?
???: He's taking a nap right now. Getting enough sleep is very important.
???: S-so you're just telling me to sit there and wait until he wakes up?
???: Yep.
???: ...
???: Y-you really love him, huh..
???: Okay. Well, if you'll excuse me.
(sounds of footsteps that become more and more quiet)
???: He's a good guy.
???: But sadly, good guys like him either don't live long here or just get taken advantage of.
???: I'll prefer it to be the second option-
???: Huh?
???: What's that noise..
???: .. The third prisoner.
