Betrayal tastes bitter. Forgiveness, even more so.
You wish you could offer it, let it soften the knot in your chest but you can’t. Not when you look at him, crouched across from you in the shadowed silence of the abandoned furniture store, blood drying on his temple, calculating eyes locked on the door. Not when you remember what he did. Chishiya claimed he stayed behind to protect you but you know better. Protection wasn’t part of his plan. You were a pawn once. And no matter how many times you see the ghost of guilt flicker in his eyes, you can’t erase the memory of how easily he used you. Forgiveness is a door you're not ready to open. Not yet.
The King of Spades had come like a storm, scattering everyone like leaves in the wind. You hadn’t been fast enough, not like the others. And now it was just the two of you. You and Chishiya, tucked away between dusty bed frames and display nightstands, hiding like scared animals. He hadn’t left. Said he wouldn’t. Said he wanted to protect you.
But all you could think was: why now?
You first met him during a game of Spades. The kind of game where hiding could mean surviving. He saw something in you that night. Not just fear, but precision, an uncanny ability to vanish when it mattered most. When the game ended, bloodied and victorious, Chishiya approached you with that cool, unreadable face.
“You’d be useful,” he said. “Come with me to the Beach.”
You told him you weren't looking for a team. You were looking for your brother. You had a gut feeling that Arisu was out here, trapped like you were. You had to find him.
“The Beach is a good place to start,” Chishiya said smoothly. “There are a lot of people there. If he’s in this world, someone must have seen him.”
What you didn’t know, what he didn’t tell you, was that he had no interest in helping you find Arisu. He only wanted your talent. Your ability to go unseen. It made you the perfect tool to steal the playing cards Hatter was hoarding.
Once you reached the Beach, Chishiya sought out Kuina. He told her about you, about your usefulness. But Kuina wasn’t like him. She didn’t see you as a tool. She saw you as a person. You clicked instantly. Her warmth was real, not calculated. She didn’t ask much about what you could do, but about who you were. She made you laugh even when the world around you begged for tears.
Unlike Chishiya, Kuina didn’t need a reason to care.
And then there was that rooftop. You had climbed up there, desperate for air, for solitude. But Chishiya was already sitting there.
“It’s one of my favorite spots,” he said simply.
You ended up talking, really talking, for the first time. You told him about Arisu, about your father, the constant comparison to your younger brother, the weight of never being enough. And for the first time, Chishiya dropped his guard, too. He told you about his own father. Cold. Distant. A man who wanted a trophy, not a son. It was strange… how easy it felt, opening up to him. Stranger still was how he opened up to you.
He seemed surprised that you cared. That you listened. But you did. Because behind all his manipulation and deadpan expression, you saw a flicker of someone human.
That moment changed something. Not for you but for him.
From that day, he was always there. Always lingering near. Always watching. Protecting. Talking. And you didn’t mind. Not then. Because you thought maybe he was trying to be something more.
What you didn’t know was that inside his mind, a war was raging. Every time you smiled at him, asked him about his day, looked at him like he was something more than a ghost in this dead world, he felt it. A tightening in his chest, foreign and unfamiliar. He’d never felt anything like it. He wasn’t supposed to feel anything.
And in the end, he made his decision.
He wouldn’t use you. Not anymore.
But then… Arisu arrived. And everything came crashing down.
You couldn’t believe your eyes when you saw him.
“Arisu!” you cried, rushing forward, wrapping your arms around him like you could shield him from this cruel world just by holding tight enough.
He froze for a second, then hugged you back, tighter than you expected.
“I don't want you to be here,” he whispered, voice cracking. “Not you.”
His face was drawn with exhaustion and worry, his arms trembling as he held you. That protective instinct of his took over in an instant. Even in this hell, he was still your older brother. Still the one who worried too much. Still the one who tried to carry the weight of the world.
When Chishiya saw the two of you together, his expression barely changed but something clicked in his brain. You didn’t notice. You were too relieved to be reunited with Arisu.
Kuina leaned against the railing outside the lounge, sipping a soda. Chishiya stood beside her, arms crossed, his usual cool mask in place.
“I’m going to use Arisu,” he said flatly. “For the plan.”
Kuina’s gaze didn’t shift. But the silence that followed said more than words.
“You could use her,” she said after a beat, tipping the can to her lips. “She’s better at sneaking than he is. Quieter. Smarter.”
Chishiya shrugged. “I don’t want to involve her.” That was when she turned. Brows raised, a slow, knowing grin stretching her lips. “Ah. I see.”
“What?” he asked, tone still bored, but his eyes didn’t meet hers. Kuina laughed. “C’mon. I’m not stupid. You get this little sparkle in your eyes every time someone says her name.” Chishiya frowned. “That’s ridiculous.”
She tilted her head, teasing. “You act like she’s a piece on the board. But you’re scared to move her. Know why?”
"No.”
“Because if she breaks, so do you.”
He didn’t reply. Didn’t need to. Kuina smiled into her drink. “You’ll see soon enough. Believe whatever you want for now.” Then she turned away, leaving him there, quiet, still, and deeply unsettled.
Later that night, Chishiya pulled Arisu aside. No pretense. No manipulation. Just quiet honesty. “I’m planning to steal Hatter’s cards. I don’t believe in his revolution. And I don’t believe anyone else will save us. We’ll have to save ourselves.”
And Arisu, who always tried to find the good in people, who just wanted you safe, said yes. Without hesitation. He saw it as a way out. A way to protect you.
He even convinced Usagi to help. She didn’t like it, not one bit, but she trusted Arisu enough to back him up. Even if she thought it was reckless.
And then it all went to hell. Arisu got caught. He was dragged away. Accused of treason. Beaten.
When Kuina came to find you, her face said everything before her words could. “They took him,” she said, voice shaking. “Arisu... he’s hurt. Bad.”
Your world flipped. Your knees nearly buckled. All that relief, that brief moment of peace, shattered in an instant.
And then came the fury.
You stormed through the Beach’s corridors like a thunderstorm. You didn’t care who saw you. Didn’t care who heard. You were going to find him.
And then you did.
Chishiya. Pacing an empty hallway. For once, not composed. For once, not unreadable. He looked up and the look in your eyes stopped him cold.
You walked up to him and slapped him. Hard. “You fucking asshole!”
He didn’t move. Didn’t flinch.
"You used him!” you screamed. “You got him involved in your plan and now he’s paying for it! Do you have any idea what you’ve done?”
“I didn’t want to use you,” he said quietly. Your breath caught.
“Oh, how noble of you,” you spat, your voice shaking. “You got close to me, made me trust you, and all the while you were playing some long con! I was just a move you didn’t make, right? Some risk you couldn’t take?”
He looked down, his voice barely above a whisper. “I developed feelings for you.”
Silence.
It rang louder than anything.
You stared at him, stunned. Then the tears came. Angry, betrayed.
“That’s supposed to make it better?” you choked. “You think that excuses anything? You used my brother! The one person I came here to find! The only family I have left! You let him take the fall for you!”
“I didn’t want to risk your life,” he said again, more hollow now. “I thought I was protecting you.”
“You weren’t protecting me,” you snapped. “You were protecting yourself. From guilt. From consequences. Don’t stand there and pretend this is about love or care or whatever bullshit excuse you’re using.”
You wiped your tears with the back of your hand, breath shaking. “If you really cared about me, Chishiya, you never would’ve used my family to begin with.”
He said nothing. Just stood there, that storm of emotion behind his calm eyes for once completely visible.
You turned away. And this time, he didn’t follow. But inside, he was spiraling.
His brain, usually so composed, so rational, was screaming. Telling him he should’ve said more. That he should’ve run after you. That he should’ve told you what it felt like to sit on that rooftop with you. That it wasn’t all a lie. That something in him had changed.
But his logic told him the truth: he’d already broken what he was trying to protect. He’d used the one person who meant everything to you. And now he was left with silence and shame.
And the terrifying realization that for the first time in his life... He didn’t know how to fix what he’d destroyed.
The Beach burned.
It wasn’t literal, not yet, but it felt like it. The game of Ten of Hearts had begun and the safe haven you once believed in had turned into a slaughterhouse. Panic was everywhere. Screams echoed off every wall. People were dragged, accused, executed without thought. The “Witch Hunt” had begun and no one was safe.
In the chaos, Chishiya moved like a ghost. Calm, surgical, precise. While others lost their minds, he retrieved the playing cards, moving through the bloodied corridors as if the world wasn’t crumbling. But even then, you were on his mind.
He had to find you.
You were on the second floor, running between bodies and crumbling dreams, shouting your brother’s name. “Arisu!” your voice cracked but you didn’t stop. You couldn’t.
Then you heard it, footsteps behind you. Chishiya. He reached for your arm, but you yanked it back. “Don’t touch me!” you snapped.
“You need to get to safety.”
“All I care about is finding Arisu!”
Chishiya’s jaw tightened. “He’s probably-"
“I don’t need your help,” you cut in, voice like a blade. “Especially not after what you did.”
He looked away briefly but before he could respond, two of the military corps turned the corner, rifles raised. Shouting. No time to think.
You froze. But Chishiya didn’t. He stepped in front of you with infuriating calmness, pressing you against the wall, his body a shield.
You could feel the tension in him. Every muscle tight, his breathing steady. Cold eyes met the soldiers.
Then… silence.
Recognition flickered in the soldiers’ faces. They lowered their weapons. A nod. A tense pause. Then they moved on without a word.
When they were gone, Chishiya turned to face you. Still way too close. You felt your heart race, not from fear. Not this time.
His voice was low. Soft. Dangerous. Intimate. “You do need my protection. Or do you want the military corps to shoot you down before you can find him?”
You hated how close he was. Hated how his scent hit you. Clean skin and the faintest trace of citrus.
It was everything you didn’t want to feel again. The electricity. The way your anger blurred, just for a second, into something warmer. More dangerous.
You said nothing. Neither did he. But everything was said anyway.
You found Arisu on the fourth floor, bruised and limping, but alive. Relief flooded you so hard it made your knees weak.
And then the game was solved.
The Witch wasn’t one of you. The murdered girl, Momoka, had sacrificed herself. The whole bloodbath was built on a lie. A game designed to turn everyone into monsters. You solved it. Together.
But the Beach? It was done.
Then came the face cards.
And the King of Spades.
The world exploded, gunfire raining down from rooftops, bodies dropping in the streets. The air was thick with blood and terror.
You ran.
Arisu, Usagi, Kuina, Ann, and Tatta managed to get a car. You were steps behind but not fast enough.
And Chishiya… he stayed. On purpose. He could’ve gone. But he didn’t.
You both ducked behind a wrecked truck, bullets ricocheting off the metal. Your breath was ragged, adrenaline blinding. When you turned to him, still bitter, still raw, you snapped.
“Why didn’t you go with them?” His reply was simple. “Because you didn’t.”
You wanted to scream. To slap him again. To cry. Maybe all at once. But you didn’t.
Instead, you crouched beside him, panting in the heat of gunfire, heart thudding against your ribs, and whispered, “I’m still mad at you.”
“I know,” he said. “I don’t blame you.”
You refused to meet his eyes. But in some small, infuriating part of you, you were grateful he was there. That you weren’t alone in this war zone. That, even after everything, when it all fell apart again… He stayed.
You would never say it out loud. Not yet. Not to him. But it meant something.
The air was still. The silence outside pressed like a weight against the windows, heavy with the tension of survival. The furniture store was quiet, eerily so, only the occasional creak of old wood or far-off gunfire interrupting the stillness.
You sat on the edge of a display bed, arms folded, legs aching from the hours of running and hiding. Your stomach growled, but you ignored it.
Chishiya returned from the break room, carrying a dusty bag with a few dented cans inside. He handed one to you. Tuna.
You looked at it, nose wrinkling in disgust. “Do I look like a cat?"
He didn’t laugh. He just sat across from you, cracking open his own can, eyes lowered. “You need to eat. Your body needs the energy.” You scoffed, poking at the food with the fork he’d given you. “Why do you suddenly care?”
He looked up. The annoyance was subtle, but it was there, a flicker in his normally unreadable gaze, “Because your well-being matters to me.”
You let out a bitter laugh. “Did it matter when you wanted to use me? Or when you almost got my brother killed?”
That did it.
Chishiya slammed his can down hard enough that the fork inside clattered onto the floor. “I know I made a mistake,” he said, voice sharp, raw around the edges. “You think I don’t wish I could go back and undo it? I do. Every damn day. But it was a necessary move to find the safe. Without that, we wouldn’t have-"
“Yeah, yeah,” you cut him off, crossing your arms, matching his anger. “In the end it worked out. What if it hadn’t? What if Arisu died? You have a time machine hidden somewhere? Didn’t think so.”
Sarcasm dripped from every word.
His nostrils flared. His composure was slipping. “How many times do I need to apologize?” he growled. “I can’t undo it. I can’t change what happened. And I sure as hell can’t change how I feel about you.”
You blinked. His voice cracked, not with weakness, but with the weight of something real.
“It scares me,” he continued, his tone lowering, thickening with emotion. “What I feel for you. Even now, when you’re furious, when I’m furious, it’s still there. This… this thing inside me. I don’t know how to shut it off. I’ve never felt anything this strong. Not for anyone. And I hate that I don’t know what to do with it.”
He looked at you then. Raw and exposed, his voice barely a whisper. “There’s something wrong with me. I’ve always been detached. That’s how I’ve survived. But then you came along and now I feel everything, all at once. And I don’t know how to fix what I broke. I just… I want to make it right. I need to. But I don’t know how.”
You stared at him, stunned. It was like watching a fortress collapse. Like hearing the truth through the cracks. You stood, slowly, and kneeled in front of him.
Your hand reached for his cheek and when your fingers brushed against his skin, you felt him shiver under your touch. His eyes closed, lashes trembling.
“There’s nothing wrong with you,” you said softly. “Feelings aren’t your enemy. That voice in your head? That’s the enemy. You’re human, Chishiya. And that’s beautiful.”
His eyes opened. And then he kissed you. Fierce. Hungry. Desperate.
Your hands tangled in his hair, pulling him closer, as if you could dissolve the space between your bodies. His mouth moved against yours with urgency, like he needed you to breathe. Needed you to feel him.
You kissed him back with everything you had. Weeks of tension, pain, longing, it all poured out, consuming both of you like fire.
His hands roamed over you. Your arms, your waist, your hips, gripping, touching, as if grounding himself in your existence. You gasped as his lips trailed down your jaw, his breath hot against your skin. It was raw and real and intoxicating.
The world outside faded. The danger, the death, the chaos, it didn’t exist in that moment.
Only him. Only you.
The two of you collapsed onto one of the beds, not caring it was a showroom piece, not caring if it squeaked beneath you. Clothes were shed, inhibitions dropped. His body pressed against yours, hot and solid, his hands memorising every inch of you. It wasn’t just lust. It was a desperate craving to feel alive through you.
The neediness of the kiss was now mixed with something deeper. Connection. He kissed you like he was terrified it would be the last time. You clung to him like he was the last real thing left in this world.
And when it was over, when you lay tangled in the warmth of the aftermath, his head resting against your shoulder, breath slow and even.
For the first time since entering this world Chishiya felt calm. Like the storm in his head had finally quieted. Because for the first time… He wasn’t alone.
That night in the furniture shop, after everything, after the pain and survival and anger, you felt peace. Not hope. Not certainty. But peace. A fragile thread tying you to the belief that maybe… somehow… it would all work out.
You and Chishiya became a team. Sleek, efficient, in perfect sync. You beat the Jack of Hearts together.
No tricks. No lies. Just mutual trust and a silent rhythm between you two.
When the next games came, you agreed to separate. Queen of Spades for you, where brute force and agility were key. And King of Diamonds for him, the realm of logic, psychology, and manipulation.
“I’ll come back to you,” he said before he walked off, his voice low. You nodded. “You better.”
The Queen of Spades nearly broke you but Arisu, Usagi, and you made it through. You reunited with your brother through sweat and exhaustion, the bond between you stronger than ever.
After clearing the game, you returned to the furniture shop together. You, Arisu and Usagi. A few days of quiet. Of healing.
One morning, while you and Usagi were out hunting rabbits in the overgrown field behind the store, Chishiya and Arisu sat inside, patching up gear and sipping weak tea.
The silence lingered between them until Chishiya finally said, “I was wrong. About everything.” Arisu glanced over. “What do you mean?”
Chishiya stared at the chipped rim of his mug. “Using you. Back at the Beach. It was the only path I could see at the time, but… I was blind. Because of her. I didn’t want her involved and I thought I could still manipulate the situation. I didn’t just use you. I endangered you. I’m sorry.”
Arisu didn’t hesitate. “I forgive you,” he said easily. “You mean a lot to her. I’ve never seen her care for anyone like that. Just… don’t mess it up again.”
Chishiya smirked faintly. “I’m not scared of you, Arisu.”
“You shouldn’t be,” Arisu replied with a grin. “But she? You should be terrified of her.” Chishiya actually laughed. A soft, low sound. The closest thing to warmth in his voice.
Then came the final storm.
You had collapsed from exhaustion after taking down the last remaining Jack, your body demanded rest. Arisu said they’d keep watch. You closed your eyes, trusting them.
And then Niragi happened. He was a devil made of fire and chaos. And he shot Chishiya. First in the abdomen. Then again, when Chishiya stood between Niragi and Usagi.
He collapsed into the dust, blood spreading fast beneath him. Pale. Slipping. Usagi and Arisu dropped to their knees beside him, hands trembling as they tried to stop the bleeding. But Chishiya… he just smiled.
He looked up at them, his voice barely a breath. “Thank you. Both of you.”
Arisu’s hands were shaking. “We’re going to get help. We’ll-"
“No,” Chishiya whispered. “Leave me. Finish it. You have to end this.”
“But-”
“Don’t tell her,” Chishiya murmured, his breath shallow. “Not yet. Let her focus. Let her survive.”
Arisu swallowed hard.
“But when it’s over,” Chishiya continued, his eyes flickering between them, “tell her something for me.”
“Tell her…” He paused, coughing. “She was the only one who ever made me feel. The only one who ever made me want to live. She gave me something no one else ever could. Not even freedom compares to her.”
Even Usagi had tears in her eyes.
“She was my reason. So if I don’t make it, just- make sure she knows. She deserves to know.”
They nodded silently.
And then they left him there, against the wreckage and turned toward the final fight.
The King of Spades fell. Not without cost. But it ended.
And then came the Queen of Hearts. The final game.
Arisu and Usagi didn’t return to you. They couldn’t. Not after what happened to Chishiya. Arisu didn’t know how to face you. He couldn’t bear to lie. But he couldn’t bear to break your heart either.
So they played the game in silence.
When the decision came, to stay in the Borderlands or return, you stood at the cracked window of the furniture shop, watching the fireworks explode in the sky.
You smiled. A real smile. “I want to go back,” you whispered. “Back to the real world. Back to… him.”
And somewhere, leaned against a rusted car, drenched in blood, body half-broken but soul still fighting, Chishiya’s lips moved. “I want to turn it down,” he whispered.
Then, the world went black.
You opened your eyes in a hospital bed, the scent of antiseptic thick in the air. Bright light filtered through the window. Machines beeped steadily around you.
Your memories were gone. The Borderlands… just a dream.
You turned your head and saw Arisu sitting nearby, awake, exhausted. He smiled at you but behind his eyes, there was weight. A truth he couldn’t share yet. Not now. Not while you were still healing.
Across the hospital another monitor beeped. Chishiya, freshly pulled back from the edge of death, slowly opened his eyes.
There were nurses, soft voices, the distant sound of carts rolling past his room. But none of it was really registered. His mind held only one name. Yours.
The hospital discharge was unceremonious. A nurse handed you your paperwork and a dull grey sky greeted you outside the glass doors. Arisu was waiting, backpack slung over one shoulder, ready to take you home.
For days, he’d asked you gently, cautiously, “Do you remember anything?” And every time, you answered the same: “No. Nothing.” But he remembered everything. And he was glad you didn't.
At first, you didn’t think much of it. You figured it was the anaesthesia. The trauma. Maybe your brain protecting itself from something terrible. But as the days passed, a strange hollowness settled into your chest. A quiet ache that pulsed just beneath your ribs.
You described it to Arisu one morning over tea, frowning into the mug between your hands. “It’s like… like I’m missing something. I keep waking up feeling like I’ve forgotten something that was once everything. I walk into rooms and expect someone to be there. But I don’t know who. Just-” you hesitated, searching for the right metaphor, "a ghost of a feeling. Like something vital was cut out of me and I’m walking around with the outline still bleeding.”
Arisu looked at you for a long time. Quiet. Thoughtful. He knew exactly what that empty space was. And he knew who had filled it.
That night, he started searching. He spent hours online. Called hospitals. Asked questions. Traced files. It led him back to one place. The hospital where you’d both been revived. And Chishiya was still there.
Doctors were monitoring his heart. He was stable, but they didn’t want to release him just yet.
When Arisu stepped into the sterile room, Chishiya turned his head and the moment his eyes landed on him, hope bloomed behind them like spring through frost.
“Did she make it out?” Chishiya asked before Arisu could say a word. Arisu nodded once. And Chishiya’s breath left him like a prayer. He closed his eyes. Relief washed through him like light.
His fingers twitched where they rested on the blanket. His chest rose slowly, deeply. Like he hadn’t been breathing until that moment.
She was alive. She was here. The world wasn’t completely empty without her in it.
A fragile, aching smile tugged at his lips. Arisu sat down across from him, still stunned. “You remember?”
Chishiya’s gaze turned to the ceiling. “Yes.” His voice was quiet. Reverent. “Nothing could ever make me forget her.”
Arisu felt the tightness in his chest ease. Finally, he wasn’t alone with the truth.
“She doesn’t,” he said. “Not really. Not consciously. But… she feels it. She told me it’s like there’s something missing inside her. Someone.”
Chishiya swallowed. His throat burned. “I miss her,” he admitted. “Even now. Every second. It’s like my chest doesn’t know how to feel without her anymore.”
They talked for a little while longer. There wasn’t much to say, what they shared wasn’t about facts or logic. It was about something bigger. Something truer.
When Chishiya was finally discharged, Arisu didn’t hesitate. He invited him over.
You didn’t expect visitors. When the doorbell rang, you were curled on the couch with a book you couldn’t concentrate on, your fingers flipping pages you didn’t register.
Arisu stepped inside, holding the door open. "There’s someone I’d like you to meet.”
You stood, brushing the blanket off your lap. “Another friend of yours?”
And then he walked in.
Chishiya. A stranger.
He looked a little pale. A faint line of healing still ran under the collar of his shirt. But his eyes found yours instantly.
And your world stilled. It was like something inside you clicked. Like a piece had finally, silently, settled into place.
Your breath hitched. Your fingers curled slightly. Your chest clenched and then softened, warmed, recognised.
You didn’t remember him.
Not consciously. Not clearly.
But you knew him.
Something whispered through you like an old melody remembered in fragments.
A rooftop.
A furniture shop.
The press of lips.
The sound of a voice in the dark.
Arms around you.
He stepped forward, eyes never leaving yours.
And you whispered, barely audible, “I feel like I know you.”
He gave a soft nod. “You do." No more lies. No more pain.
Just the truth.
And the beginning.
Together again.

Chishiya with a reader who’s exceptionally good at spades games, like not super bright but runs out of strength way later than he does and he knows he’s got exponentially higher chances of surviving in a game that’s not his speciality if he can get friendly with you enough to be granted some protection. Perhaps getting friendlier than he initially intended.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
—a little help.
Pairing; Chishiya x reader (gender neutral as always <3!
A/n; the ending might be rushed, did write this at 2 am, so forgive me! Also this isn’t proofread as always. But ty for the request!
Tumblr media
—chishiya was smart, witty, and knew how to use his intelligence to his advantage. But not this time, spades games were not his specialty. They involved strength and athletic ability, he was more prone to diamond games because those games rely on intelligence and wit. So when he saw that he joined a high numbered spades game, he knew he had to come up with something.
He lets out a low and audible hum, his eyes scanning the room for someone who looks good enough to grant him some sort of protection. His hands are casually shoved into the pockets of his white jacket, hood over his head, eyes observing the tunnel everyone is in.
His eyes land on you, standing in the corner of the tunnel, holding a game phone and looking at it, the glow lighting up your face enough for him to see that you don’t look too concerned about this game. You certainly have experience, good for you. And him.
Good enough, he thought, starting to stride over to you, his footsteps lightly thudding against the grown as makes his way to you, not having an ounce of shame or concern about his intentions. He just needed a bit of protection, and if it meant using someone to get it, then so be it. That’s the way it is.
“Hey there,” he drawls on coolly, situating himself on the wall near you, leaning his back against it. He tilts his head, raising a brow slightly and giving you a light smirk, a bit smug, he knows what he’s doing. “Alone?”
He watches as you look up and look over at him, flashing him a small and friendly smile, nodding your head in reply and giving him your attention. “Mhm.! Is it that obvious?”
“Very.” He’s quick to reply, letting out an amused hum as he sees the way your eyebrows furrow slightly, debating if he was teasing or not. Which he was, but he also wasn’t-it was obvious you were alone. You were standing by yourself, of course it was. He can tell now that you weren’t the brightest bulb, or the sharpest tool in the shed if you would. Makes the work easy for him, you were like a confused puppy. The type to chase their own tail or ram into a window, the type to get friendly with others with no issue.
“Such a shame, really. Being alone in spade games never really is that good.” He murmurs, acting like he has no idea what his interests were. Hes nonchalant and cool like a fish in the pond, and he’s watching the way your eyebrows slightly raise as you listen, easily falling for the bait.
“Do you wanna team together then?” You ask, leaning a little closer to him, and you think it’s your idea-adorable, and he lets you think that it was your idea to begin with. He lets out an amused huff, pretending to think for a moment before speaking up, nodding his head. “Sure, couldn’t hurt. Let’s protect eachother, hm?”
You nod eagerly, flashing him a small grin, to which he doesn’t really return besides a nod of acknowledgment-he’s caught you like a fly in a spider web.
“Game: Run, Rabbit, run!” The familiar robotic voice calls out, making you and chishiya bother pause and listen in, your eyebrows furrowing at the name-what was this game gonna be about? Running, obviously, but from what? You share a glance with chishiya, shrugging your shoulders lightly. “Difficulty; 8 of spades.”
“An eight, huh?” He mutters under his breath, tongue wetting his lips as he thinks, already figuring out ways this game could go, standing up from the wall. The other players are also intrigued at the game, anxiety weaved across their features, some nervously twiddling their thumbs.
“Goal; reach the end of the tunnel without getting caught.” It says, and you nod slightly, putting the game phone into your back pocket, already turning to face the other end of the dark tunnel, lights flickering overhead. You reach over and tug on chishiya, getting him to turn too-you know that the best chance of surviving this game is that as soon as you can, to just start to run, you don’t really wanna know what’s going to chase you through this tunnel. “Time limit is one hour.”
And with that, it stopped. It was silent, and then you heard it-loud footsteps, and it wasn’t any of the players. You turn over your shoulder, eyes widening slightly as you see it-a man, a wolf mask over his head and a large blade in his hand, dark clothes, and he’s immediately lunging at people.
“Shit! Run!” You hiss, grabbing onto chishiya’s arm, and dragging him along with you as you begin to book it down the tunnel. He grunts but follows, his hands finally leaving his pockets as he jogs along side you, eyes strained forward.
The sounds of other players screaming and yelling is tuned out in your head, the sound of the blade swinging and hitting people-but your force yourself to ignore it, keeping your pace as you make sure chishiya stays with you.
Stay ahead, that’s the only thing you can really do in this game-stay ahead, or stay behind and fight back. But it seems you and Chishiya aren’t really fond of that idea.
“I’ll make sure you stay ahead-protect eachother, right?” You mutter in between breaths, sending him a look-and he just nods his head, glancing back at you. Oh jeez, you were genuinely willing to help him, and he strangely finds it endearing. I guess a puppy like you does get along with a cat like him, interesting.
—you grunt as you continue to run, your legs are starting to burn and your starting to feel sweat drop from your forehead and neck. Chishiya has been winded for a minute, but tried not to show it because you seem mostly fine, but you’re clearly starting to meet your match.
“Just a little more…” you huff out, continuing to run, but out of your peripheral vision you spot it, the knife is being thrown…impressively, but not the thing you want to happen. “Look out!”
He grunts as you suddenly push yourself against him, pushing him to the side, and he looks over and sees the knife slice against your shoulder, blood immediately gushing out as your shirt rips in that area. Great, just what you guys needed.
The sound of the blade landing on the floor echoes throughout the tunnel, and then the sound of your pained breaths, one of your hands reaching to hold onto your shoulder.
“The exit.!” You exclaim, letting out a huff of relief, suddenly pushing him with your good hand, shoving him past the exit line, following after.
“Game clear., three days have been added to your visas.” The voice calls out, but you both don’t care to notice it as you land onto your knees and sit on the floor, holding your shoulder and trying to catch your breath. He stands, shoulders slumping as he tries to catch his breath. He’s tempted to leave, to leave and walk away as if you never existed-but the way you’re sitting with your bleeding shoulder, doe eyes squeezed shut as you try to deal with the pain.
You looked like a kicked puppy, and he just stands there conflicted for a moment-this wasn’t the way it was supposed to go. You were supposed to help him get past this game and then we would have went along his way and forget you even existed. But he can’t help but feel like he wants to help, it’s only fair. He totally doesn’t want to do this because he wants to, right?
After a moment he sighs, staring down at you, the words coming out of his mouth before he could stop them. “I could help with that.”
—“fuck…easy on the alcohol, would you?” You wince, a bit of playfulness in your tone, but it’s obvious that it hurts. You’re sitting on the floor of his hotel room, he had taken you to the place known as ‘the beach’. Very chaotic, but he managed to find some peace and quiet in his room.
“You want me to treat it, don’t you?” He mocks, pressing a bit harder just to make a point, causing you to tense and hiss in discomfort, but you just frown and mumble a small “yea..” and then he eases the pressure with the alcohol wipe. “Then quit complaining.”
You just nod, spreading your legs out in front of you, staring ahead of you as he treats your shoulder with the little supplies he has, letting him work on your shoulder. It’s quiet besides the sound of yours and his breathing, and the occasional wince that slips from your lips.
He’s enjoying the quiet, treating your shoulder with a calm nature, his doctor experience clear on his actions. And he nearly lets out a sigh when you speak, curiosity clear in your voice.
“So you were a doctor before all of this?”

sleepy mornings | alice in borderland x gn!reader
shorts that are pure fluff :)  characters: banda sunato, chishiya shuntarō, niragi suguru, segawa chōta, tatta kōdai warnings: self-esteem issues (tatta); gn!reader; second person POV; no use of y/n borders by @kodaswrld! squid game version
Tumblr media
✧ banda sunato
when he opened his eyes, he was surprised to find you next to him.
you had known of his past — that he killed four women and went to prison for his crime. no one trusted him, and for good reason.
and yet, you were still here, cuddled into his side, fast asleep. you had let down your guard around him, and he wasn’t sure how to feel about that.
he could have easily discarded you or let you die in a game. but in the couple weeks since you’ve met, he’s felt drawn to you in some way he couldn't explain.
you had been useful for gaining others’ trust, he supposed. not that he needed it. he could survive alone, just as he always had.
but for now, he was content with having you around.
he looked towards the window. it was still dark outside, too early to get up.
he settled back into the mattress, drawing you closer to him. he closed his eyes once more.
a small part of him hoped that you would still be there when he woke up.
✧ chishiya shuntarō
you were woken by the rays of sunlight that cracked through the blinds.
the first thing you noticed was the absence of your allies, save for chishiya, who seemed to be sleeping. the blond was resting against a nearby wall.
even though you had been allies for a while now, you had never seen him so peaceful – his head was leaning against the wall and his chest rose and fell in time with his breathing.
when he was awake, chishiya appeared cold and distant. he was usually deep in thought, observing everyone and everything around him.
but now, with his face relaxed, he seemed at peace. innocent, even.
as the sun rays moved across the room, they bathed him in golden light.
a small gasp escaped your lips. he looked ethereal.
“finally awake?” he spoke out of the blue, eyes still closed.
you averted your gaze, staring down at the ground. you heard him exhale, almost as if he were amused.
“let’s go. the others have gone to find supplies.” he stood up, shielding his eyes from the sun.
“were you awake this whole time?” you asked as you gathered your belongings.
he glanced back at you before leaving the room.
“maybe.”
✧ niragi suguru
you woke up first, like usual.
niragi wasn’t a morning person, really.
when he was asleep, he looked like a totally different person — his face was relaxed, his eyes fluttering as he dreamed. he was sprawled out, his body taking up most of the bed.
you liked him like this, when he let his guard down.
you brushed a strand of hair from his face. he looks so peaceful, you thought. nothing like the brash, boasting personality that threatened to kill everyone if they so much as looked his way.
others at the beach never understood why you willingly hung out with niragi, and to be honest, you didn’t really know yourself.
he treated you like trash when you first met. but something drew you to him. over time, he had warmed up to you.
and now? he acted as your protector at the Beach.
which brings us to your current situation – your fingers running through his hair as you gazed at his sleeping form.
while you couldn’t wait to return to your world, a small part of you wanted to stay here with him. even if just for a little bit longer.
✧ segawa chōta:
maybe his mother’s prayers really did come true. that was one explanation for why you were still by his side.
for years, he had been teased by everyone for his inexperience with relationships. but you wove yourself into his life seamlessly, easily befriending arisu and karube to his delight.
now, as you laid next to him on his bed, he gazed at you fondly. you were the apple of his eye, and he was so grateful to have you in his life.
you must have noticed him staring at you, because you soon blinked your eyes awake.
“i didn’t mean to wake you,” he said. “i was just thinking about how lucky I am.”
you gave him a sleepy smile before your eyes fluttered closed again.
he chuckled, drawing you close and kissing the top of your head.
✧ tatta kōdai:
it’s been a long time since he’s woken up feeling so well-rested. like many others, he had had trouble sleeping ever since arriving in the borderlands.
but since he met you, he felt more calm, more sure of himself. you were kind to everyone, even in this dog-eat-dog world.
most importantly, you were the first person that didn’t think he was a good-for-nothing.
you were asleep beside him, your face slightly scratched from the previous night’s game. you had brushed it off, but tatta blamed himself for not shielding you in time.
still, you looked so peaceful. he didn’t think he deserved someone like you, but you reassured him every time.
he grazed his finger over your cheek, jolting back when you winced. he hadn’t meant to wake you.
“it’s okay,” you said sleepily. “i know you would never hurt me on purpose.”
he moved closer to you and wrapped an arm around your waist. you snuggled into his chest.
“love you,” you said as you fell back asleep.
a small smile tugged at his lips. he rested his head on yours and closed his eyes.
“love you too.”

It was game night at the beach, one of the days you dreaded. You always hoped for a higher level game as crazy as that sounded, you wanted to stay away from the games for as long as possible. Fortunately for you, your visa didn’t expire for another 5 days so you could sit this game day out. However, unfortunately for you, chishiya’s expired tomorrow meaning he had to leave this time. He kissed you goodbye before he zipped up his jacket and got ready to leave, you stayed in the doorway of your room for a little longer than usual, watching him leave.
You didn’t have much to do while he was gone, kuina left for a game too and it wasnt like you were allowed to leave the beach. You didn’t really know anyone besides the two of them anyways so you decided to go down to the bar to get a drink in the meantime. Nothing interesting happened, you got your drink and left. You had no idea what time it was but you knew it had been longer than an hour when you stopped staring at the ceiling, your drink long gone. A click snapped you out of your thought as the door opened revealing a disheveled and bloodstained chishiya.
Your eyes widened as you immediately slid off the bed, eyes assessing him to make sure that he wasn’t hurt. Your hands found purchase on his forearms before you could stop yourself, his jacket miraculously clean but the same could not be said for his face. The blood had been there so long it started drying and you could only assume it wasn’t his. You could tell he wasnt worried about it, more disgusted at the fact someone else’s blood was on his face than anything.
“Im okay, someone’s neck just exploded all over my face.” He said, his voice low as he looked at you.
Your eyes widened for a split second before your eyebrows furrowed, you knew thoes stupid fucking exploding collars were only ever used for hearts games. Your face scrunched up pensively at the thought of him in one, your grip tightening slightly on his arms. Your first game was a hearts game, you and one other person had survived and you spent the rest of the night staring into nothing as the memories kept playing in your head. You’d known chishiya before you both gotten sent to the borderlands, you were a nurse at the hospital he worked at and tried to keep it a secret that you were dating knowing it would cause trouble for your job but you were lucky to find him after you got sent to this place.
You slowly wrapped your arms around chishiya, more of a comfort to yourself than to him. He sighed, wrapping his arms around you in retaliation carefully as to not to put his face on you. You let go of him eventually, ushering him towards to bathroom to shower. He closed the door behind him, clothes in hand that you had given him and it didn’t take long before you heard the shower running. You tried not to stand outside the door like a creep, moving to sit on the hotel room bed as you played with the glass your drink used to be in.
After a while chishiya exited the bathroom, a cloud of steam following as he did so. You raised up from your comfortable position before he made his way towards you, your hands finding their way to his now bare hips as he’d decided not to put his jacket back on. You pulled him down making him grunt and fall down onto you, you smiled a little as he raised his upper body to glare at you before smiling himself, albeit a little cocky; you could tell he was glad you weren’t looking at him with that depressing look on your face still. he lowered himself back down but a lot more gentle as he had control of his actions this time.
“I was worried about you.” You mumbled, your lips moving against his neck.
He hummed before speaking, “yeah?”
You rolled your eyes —not that he could tell—before confirming your worry for him. You were always worried when it came to the games, you didnt want to lose him. You squeezed him closer to you, pressing your lips against his neck. He sighed from above before rolling off of you, your face following as you moved over a little to get comfortable when he did so. You moved slightly, pressing a kiss to his Adam’s apple before looking up at him.
Chishiya hummed, a low sound in his chest almost akin to a purr as he reached to take your shirt off. You raised your arms up so he could pull it off fully, moving them to the back of his neck to pull his lips towards yours when he was finished. The kiss you shared was softer than usual, a kiss with chishiya was usually suffocating, in a good way. As you continued your hands found their way to his swim shorts, untying the string keeping them taut before pulling them down. He broke the kiss paying attention to getting you undressed as well.
The position you both found yourself in was interesting to say the least. Your leg finding purchase on top of his hip while your hand gripped at his hair; pressing short but sweet kisses to his lips that he reciprocated as he slid his cock into you. His hand rested on your hip to keep you in place, his cock stretching you as he went deeper. A heavy breath left him as he bottomed out, he stilled and pressed kisses to your jaw and neck not wanting to rush. He mumbled something unintelligible against your skin before raising his head up to look at your blissed out face.
Your hand moved down from his neck to his shoulders as he began to move as a slow pace; although it was still fast enough to feel good. Your nails dug into his shoulder before you wrapped your arm around him, pushing your head to bury it his neck where his shoulders and head met. You felt chishiyas lips against your own shoulder, whispering something about how good you felt against it. You were sure chishiya felt the smile against him as much as you knew he had a smug look on his face.
The feeling of his cock hitting the spot inside of you that made your head spin caused you to drop your head down to rest on your arm as well as let a moan leave your lips. You heard chishiya chuckle earning a light slap against his back from you as a small blissed out smile graced your face once more. He thrusted into you a bit harder in retaliation causing you to let out a strangled noise as your fingers dug into him, a quiet curse leaving your mouth.
You could feel chishiya coaxing you from your position, no doubt wanting to press his lips against yours for the nth time that night. You let him, pulling yourself from your previous position to lock your lips with his. His hands eventually found their way to the back of your neck before speeding up his pace. Your kiss was broken as you gasped into his mouth, the sudden change causing you to throw your head back with a loud moan. You didnt have to look back down to know chishiya had a shit eating grin on his face, you could picture it perfectly even in your pleasured state.
You couldn’t even tell tears were fathering in your eyes and falling down your cheeks until you felt chishiya using his thumbs to wipe them away, pressing his lips to your face as he did so. A quiet whisper of a praise falling out of his mouth as he pushed you up and down on his cock you with his hands on your hips. You clenched around him at the feeling of him so deep inside of you, his movements stuttering as he let out a groan. There was no doubt he was close , you could tell by the look on his face, his eyebrows furrowed and his mouth open slightly. But he also knew you were close too, the way you were clenching around him paired with your nails digging into him gave you away.
“Y’gonna cum, hm?” He teased a bit as he looked at you with lust clouded eyes.
You couldn’t get out a verbal answer, settling on nodding frantically. He nodded back before smashing his lips against yours for the final time as you came, his cock twitching as he came inside of you. He stayed like that for a while as you both came down from your highs before pulling out, careful not to get the sheets dirty, he doubted either of you would want to change the sheets after that. You were both breathing heavy as you calmed down, you reached for chishiya’s farthest hand, holding it before you scooted closer to his to rest your head on his chest.

♠️ AiB males in Mingle-Game with you ♠️
Tumblr media
A/N: I thought about this kind of headcanons while I was trying to fall asleep. 😬
The game is part of the second season from Squid Game, so if you haven't seen it yet but want to watch it- This writing may contain slight spoilers! 😶‍🌫️
Tumblr media
Characters: Aguni, Arisu, Chishiya, Karube, Niragi
POV: gn!neutral
Warnings: Squid Game related; may contain Spoilers for season 2!
Tumblr media
A g u n i
That man really hates playing games with you together. He isn't showing, but he is afraid of losing you in one of those games especially when it comes to the thought of losing you 'cause he is not able to protect you ...
He has the will of a leader and he may be pretty strong, physically and psychologically, but not knowing which game you'll join together almost kills him ever and ever again.
That's why Aguni always tries his best to convince you to play different games but this time he lost the discussion.
Thanks god it's not heart game the two of you joined, but clubs.
Bro, that man breathes a sigh of relief, you wouldn't believe it.
No chances he will leave your side, he stands by you and follows you everywhere you go, no matter what.
And he is watching you the. whole. damn. time.
Standing on the circling plate, he will touch you with his elbow when you start moving your body because of the playing song.
"Don't forget, it's all or nothing. Stay focused and stop dancing, you need to concentrate."
... He is finding it pretty cute actually but who is he to confess?
Ah, the plate stops moving and the song stops playing. A voice tells the number of people each group needs before running in one of the rooms you need to hide to win this game.
Good for you, nearly everybody knows Aguni.
And nearly everybody is fine with whoever wants to build a group with them, I mean everyone is just trying to survive ...
"A group of 3 people?" "Can't be this hard to find one more- no time to lose!"
Be prepared, he will carry you over his shoulder without hesitation ... He just grabs you and flicks you over ...
"Wow, alright, calm down Aguni, I have legs myself, you know?!" "Daily dose of training."
A r i s u
Same as Aguni, Arisu wouldn't step away from your side, leaving you alone in the crowd of people you may or may not know by even their names.
He's a cutie pie. While standing on the moving plate, he would stand by you as near as possible, just to make sure he isn't losing you.
Plus he wants to make sure you know he will always be there for you and no matter what happens, he isn't going anywhere without you.
He lost the most meaningful people in his life already. It broke him. Losing you- it's hard to say if he would make it another time.
Still, different from Aguni , he wouldn't mind moving with you to the song a little.
Actually it would be pretty fun to him, dancing to the rhythm with you.
For a second he would forget why you guys are even here ...
Lord have mercy, he loves you for that.
If he is able to, he would even sing along, sadly korean doesn't belong to his strength ...
Freestyle!
"Love, did you even know what the children are singing about?" "Actually no, but this song is both a curse and a blessing."
People will look at you as if you are a couple that is losing their minds- how can you have fun with the knowing this could be your last minute on earth?
Seriously, how?
"Oh, the song ends ..." "And we aren't moving anymore ..." "2!", the unknown voice tells the players.
Arisu grabs your wrist, not thinking about it twice, and drags you behind him, towards the door closest to you.
"Oi, don't be so rough on me!" "Sorry, gamer reflexes!"
C h i s h i y a
The strategist of this game.
Nobody would find a sample in this game as fast as he does.
Play with him the first and second round, and he will be able to guess the number of group members for every following turn.
"They will do everything to kill as many people as possible." "You don't say." "It's important to know. Based on that, the numbers are chosen." "Are you really trying to find a ... system behind this game?" "I'm not trying, I already found it. Just stand near me and everything will be okay."
Remembering the last games you played with him, you know he is right.
At first it was hard for you to trust him. He was always a mysterious person to you- calm, smart, ambitious. That makes him ... kind of a dangerous person.
But since you started "dating" him, it gets easier for you letting him take control in games you play both together.
"Promise you bring us out here alive ...?" "Not a big fan of promises, but this ... this is easy to handle."
He takes your hand you held out to him when you asked him that question. But not just to give you his word- he interlaces his fingers with yours instead, pulling you a little closer to him and making sure you stand by him.
Your face gets red like a tomato ...
"You know, you make the games a little more important to me, Y/N." "Huh? What do you mean?" "Your life matters more to me than my own life- so I'm willing to protect you. Even though it's just with my high level of intelligence." "... Well, who are you and what have you done to Chishiya?", you laugh while he is just giggling a little.
K a r u b e
Fun is important to him, he doesn't want to think about dying the whole time.
So he doesn't want YOU to think of dying the whole time, too.
I guess Karube could be the one dancing with like crazy to the song. Not just moving his body back and forth.
More like Thanos and Nam-gyu did in the series ... I was laughing so hard when I saw them dancing on the plate. 😭
Back to topic; he just wants you to feel comfortable and, above all, safe around him.
He loves having you close to him. As long as you are with him, he is sure that he can do anything.
He is also willing to achieve everything he has set himself as a goal.
Accordingly, if he has made it his goal to leave the game with you ...
... then he WILL leave this game WITH you!
Means, without ifs and buts, he stays with you. From start to finish.
We know how impulsive Karube can be.
Anyone who stands in the way of him and his plans will never be happy again.
For example, the player who tried to push in front of him when you two were running in a room together.
Then he is simply grabbing the clothes and pulls the foreign person out of the room again- with force and full physical strength.
If the stranger is lucky, he gets away with a broken nose.
If not, he will die- Karube has no mercy for people blocking his way.
"Well, you know, it's not necessary always punching people in the face when they are just panicking and fighting for their lives, Babe ..." "I know, but I was panicking, too. And I want to live. And I want you to live, too, y/n. I want a future with you, not with a-" “Unknown human being!", you say, stopping him from uttering an insult. "You are too good for this world, love."
N i r a g i
Bro's kinda rough to everyone, not just you. We all know what a beast he can be, so when it comes to finding group members, he will use every method that comes to his mind to make people join both of you.
Niragi isn't good with words. He would provoke the other players or manipulate them making sure you and himself can leave this game alive.
Yeah ... he has a soft spot for you.
Can you imagine him having a heart!? 😭
Anyways, his life isn't as important as yours, for him at least.
That's doesn't mean he wants to die in here!
You are just his priority, so when the voice is telling a number and other players don't want him to join their group, he would do ANYTHING that you are able to join a group.
Yep, he would grab people by their collar.
And he would punch and kick them if necessary.
... His firearm could also be used.
"Listen here, you litte fuck. You will make sure that you team up with her and you will make sure that you end up properly in one of these ugly rooms, that she gets out of here alive. Otherwise-" Niragi points his gun at the unknown player, ignoring your "No, stop! Put that down, are you crazy?!"
Damn, he would kill everyone in here to make sure you will survive, it's insane ...
Funny to say, his method is working very well ...

Hi, could I please request jealous and possessive Chishiya? Thanks
Hehe I love this. Thanks anon, i hope i do you justice with this.
little self-idulgent but- can you blame me?
*set at the beach and reader is also an executive*
a/n: somewhat edited
wc: 2k
warnings: oral (fem!receiving), fingering (fem!receiving), lmk if i missed anything.
You were sat in a meeting with all the other executives, listening to the hatter ramble on and on about his ongoing utopia and the games. During the meeting though, you could feel someone staring at you, burning holes into the side of your head. At first you thought it was Chishiya, although your relationship isn’t widley known to everyone, he could just be staring at his you during the boring meeting. However when you finally glanced towards your left where Chishiya is seating and find his eyes locked on hatter. Although he was sitting leaning towards you, he wasn’t the one looking at you.
Confused, you start to look farther past where Chishiya was sitting at to the other people to the left of you. As you go down the row you finally catch someones gaze staring back you. You lock eyes with the person burning holes into the side of your head.
The person being none other than Niragi.
When he caught you looking back at him all he did was smirk a bit and return his attention back on the hatter. You didn’t like the way he was looking at you and shifted uncomfortably in your chair.
Soon the meeting was called to an end and everyone was dismissed. You filed out the doors like everyone else was doing, and somehow ended up as one of the last people in there. Chishiya was already out the door in front of you before you could catch up to him. As you were about to leave the room you felt someone grip your arm and pull you back into the empty room.
When you look back at you who had pulled you back into the meeting room. It was the person who exactly didn’t want to be left in a room alone with.
Looking up at him, he was looking down at you with the smirk he was giving you earlier. You really were starting to get tired of that smirk.
“You know, Chishiya can’t just have you to himself right?” Niragi spoke down to you. You just rolled your eyes at him and respond to him.
“Yeah well, what makes you think i’d want to be with you hm?” You tell him trying to back away from the annoying man in front of you. He just follows you as you back up. Soon enough you’re hitting the door you just tried leaving out of.
“Oh well, we’ll see how long you stay with that weirdo.” He says to you before grabbing the handle to the door and walking off. After a few seconds of collecting yourself you walk outside the door yourself.
As you cross the threshold of the door, you see Chishiya leaning against the wall next to the door. As you close the door behind you he glances over to you. He gives a once over of you before pushing off the wall and coming to stand in front of you.
“What did he want.” Chishiya asks you, getting close to you, hands still in his pockets as usual. His eyes had that half lidded stare that you always liked about him. Trying to not get lost in his eyes, you respond back to him.
“Just giving me some bullshit on how long he thinks I’ll stay with you before running off to him.” You tell him rolling your eyes like you did when niragi was speaking to you. All Chishiya did was hum and nod his head. He takes one hand out of his pocket, tilting your head up to his.
“Is that right, hm?” Chishiya whispers to you, which you respond with a confirming hum.
“Well, we’ll see about that won’t we.” Chishiya says before sliding his hand down and grabbing onto yours and pulling to you down the hallway.
—————- later that night ——————-
The day had gone on like normal after this afternoons ordeal. The usual people partying around the beach and those who aren’t partying are laying back in there rooms doing who knows what. You had just finished grabbing a bite to eat with Chishiya and was heading back to your guys room. Chishiya was being as layed back as he normally was while you were the one keeping any type of conversations going for the day.
Soon the two of you arrived at the door of your shared room. Chishiya being the gentlemen he is, opened the door for you and standing to the side, letting you into the room. You step into the now dark room since it was past sundown, the room left how the two of you had left it this morning. You were a few steps into the room when you heard the door close and you could’ve sworn you also heard the lock as well. As you turn around to look back at Chishiya, you realize he was already right next to you.
He was inches from you, staring down at you with the smallest smile on his face. Looking up at him you couldn’t help but smile a little bit yourself.
“Whats that smile for?” You ask him, looking at his face look down at you. Chishiya takes his hands out of his pockets and places them on your exposed waist. Thanks to the swimsuit rule at the beach, all you ever wore now was a bikini set you found at a store near by, along with a small shaw to keep you not totally exposed.
“Niragi said you weren’t mine hm?” Chishiya whispers down to you, leaning in slightly. Before you could say something back to him, he’s speaking again.
“Why don’t we show him, yeah?” Chishiya says to you, and next thing you know you’re being pushed back onto the bed. As you land on your back, you look to Chishya at the end of the bed. He was shedding his jacket that he always kept on, now being left topless with just a pair of swim trunks on. Even though this wasn’t the first time seeing him like this, it always got you slightly speechless. You continue to watch him as he climbs over you, joining you on the bed.
“You know I seriously don’t want him right?” You tell him now that you’re face to face. Chishiyas hair is now curtaining the two of your faces since he was so leaning over you.
“Oh I know, but I think he might need a little reminder on whos you are.” He tells before bring his lips down to yours, stopping you from trying to question what he’s going to do. You melt into his kiss, grabbing onto his arms that were placed next to your head. Chishiya grabs your hands from his arms and places them above your head, stopping you from moving them anymore. The kiss was quickly turning more passionate by the second as chishiyas tongue explored your mouth. You easily lost dominance over his skilled tongue skimming over yours. You couldn’t help but moan into his mouth, Chishiya giving his own groan into your mouth.
Chishiya quickly moved away from your mouth, finally giving you time to breathe. As you did that though he moved his kisses down your neck. After a second you felt his hands move down to where the strings of your bikini were knotted around your neck. He was biting into your neck as he untied the strings, making you let out small breathy moans. You could feel Chishiyas smile on your skin as he did so.
Once your top was untied, Chishiya quickly removed it from your body, leaving you completly exposed at the top just like Chishiya. It didn’t take long for Chishiya to move his mouth down to your breast, while one of his hands gave attention to the other. Chishiya was kissing and leaving marks all over, even places that wouldn’t be covered by your bikini later on. You were letting out all sorts of whines wanting Chishiya to give your nipples the attention they needed. He looked up at you with his dangerous smile and finally listened, wrapping his lips around your nipple and pinching at the other one. This made you throw your head back and let out a loud moan.
Chishiya had to have left many marks on your chest now, but you didn’t care at this point.
He eventually left your nipples, much to your dismay, and leaned back on his legs. Look up at him, you admired how handsome he wasnt. He wasn’t a guy who was too muscular, enough to make him fit. His skin was flawless, and his face was just one that put butterflies in your stomach anytime you look at it. Now looking up at him it was just the same.
Chishiya grabbed onto your legs, sliding his hands up and grabbing onto the strings of your bikini bottoms. He gently pulled at them and took the material off your body, throwing it to the side and off the bed. He then grabbed your knees and pulled them apart, exposing you to him. You were way past wet for the man, your essence clear as day for him. This made him smirk down at you. He slid his hands up your thighs and ran his fingers over your wet lips, causing you to let out a whine, wanting him to keep going. However, he stopped his fingers, keeping them on your hip with a strong grip.
“You wouldn’t be this wet for him wouldn’t you?” Chishiya asked down at you, looking at your figure trying to get him to move his hands more. You didn’t even have to ask him who he was referring to, knowing it was Niragi.
“N-no shiya-“ you let out, moving your hips again to get him to do something. He smiled down to you and listened, gripping your knees to the side to make room for him. He pulled you closer to him and licked a long strip at the junction of your thigh and pelvis. He quickly moved to licking another long strip from your aching hole to your clit.
Chishiya stopped at your clit, making figure eights over it, causing you to throw your head back and grip onto his partially blonde locks. Soon he was sucking on your clit and sinking his fingers into you. You felt him start to push his fingers in and out of you, taking you closer to your release. Chishiya picked up speed with his fingers, making his tongue and mouth faster around your clit.
You were trying your hardest not to cum quickly, but you were losing that battle very fast. You eventually couldn’t hold yourself back anymore after Chishiya had hit just that right spot with his fingers, you were gushing all on his face and fingers in seconds. Your legs had tried closing in the process but Chishiya just held them open with a tight grip that you were sure would also leave a bruise.
“There we go- yeah you only do that for me mhm.” Chishiya hums up at your huffing chest, trying to come down from the orgasm you just had. After a second, Chishiya came up from between your legs and leaned over you. He places a quick peck on your lips, moving the hair out of your worn out face.
He laid down next to you, giving a small kiss to your forehead and wrapping his arm around your waist. That was the last thing you remembered before passing out for the night.
The next morning at the next executive meeting you couldn’t hide the marks that Chishiya had left the previous night on you, so you had to let them be exposed to everyone. Chishiya sat next to you with a smirk on his face and his hands in his pockets at usual. You yourself had a tinge of pink across your face, knowing that anyone that looked at you knows exactly what happened last night.
However, you didn’t feel the harsh stare that you couldn’t get rid of during yesterday’s meeting, making you slightly smile yourself.

Chishiya always looks at you like you're a constant irritation. That kind of glare that makes you question what you could’ve possibly done wrong.
He says things like: “You disturb the silence,” “I can’t think when you’re around,” “That stupid habit of yours—smiling at everyone—is exhausting.”
But he always sits near you. Always. At the campfires, in meetings, in the safehouse. Always close enough to hear you. And watch you.
He hates when you fix your hair around him. But still watches the way your neck stretches when you do it.
Once, you caught him staring at your lips for way too long. He said he was trying to “figure out how someone can talk so much and say so little.”
He never holds your hand when you run—but he always slows down for you to keep pace.
You cut yourself once. He was the first to bring bandages. Applied them silently. Then walked away.
One night, he whispered “idiot” as he covered you with his jacket while you slept. You pretended not to hear it.
He mocks the way you eat, how you hum when you're focused, and how you always volunteer to help others. But he listens to you hum in secret and remembers what food you like best.
He calls your handwriting childish—but traces the notes you leave with his thumb.
He never says goodnight. But every night, he lingers just long enough for you to notice he's the last to leave.
Tumblr media
Chishiya starts avoiding you. Disappears for hours. But when you return from a game injured, he shows up first.
“Didn’t think someone so annoying would survive that.”
He cleans your wounds with shaking hands and avoids your eyes.
“I don’t care,” he says. “Just don’t die. It’s inconvenient.”
That night, he sleeps beside you. Doesn’t say a word. But you feel his fingers brush yours in the dark.
He begins mocking anyone who flirts with you—especially Niragi. “You think he is going to protect you? That’s cute.”
One night, Niragi corners you, tries to kiss you. Chishiya appears out of nowhere and steps between you.
“She’s not yours.”
“Is she yours then?” Niragi asks.
Chishiya just smirks. “More than you’ll ever understand.”
He starts correcting your combat technique. Brutally. “Your stance is garbage. If you die, it’ll be because you didn’t listen to me.” But he stays late after practice to teach you until you get it right.
He threatens to stop helping you in games, but always ends up designing your escape route.
He tosses you a med kit after every mission. “You’re too reckless.” And leaves before you can say thank you.
Sometimes you find notes in your bag with tips written in his handwriting: Avoid second-floor windows. Stay low near exits. Watch your six. No signature. Just him.
Tumblr media
After a fight—because you called him emotionally unavailable—he tells you, “You’re a mistake.”
Then he kisses you.
It’s fast, angry, hot. His hands grip your jaw, his body flush with yours.
“I hate how much I want you,” he growls. “I want to lock you away just to stop you from smiling at anyone else.”
You kiss him back.
That night, you sleep together. He doesn’t take his shirt off. But he watches your face the entire time.
He presses you against the wall, his lips dragging over your skin.
“Shut up,” he says. “Unless you’re moaning my name.”
He curses when you scratch his back, finishes while whispering your name.
You wake up in bed alone. But there’s tea on the table. The kind you told him once was your favorite.
He doesn’t talk about what happened. Just says, “We shouldn’t repeat it.” But he comes back to your room the next night.
Tumblr media
Chishiya returns to pretending he doesn’t care. Ignores you during the day. But always prepares your food.
At night, he knocks on your door. Doesn’t speak. Just lies beside you and pulls you into him.
“You should hate me,” he says one night.
“But I don’t,” you whisper.
He kisses your forehead like it’s the last thing he has left.
You get used to the silence. The way he brushes your hair back while you sleep. The way his arms wrap around you but never hold too tight.
You fight again. He tells you he doesn’t love you. But his hands say otherwise every time he touches you.
Sometimes he breaks. Says things like: “You’re the only one I can’t figure out. And it terrifies me.”
When you cry, he holds you too long. Kisses your eyelids. And whispers, “Stop crying. I don’t deserve that kind of softness.”
Tumblr media
Chishiya prefers quiet sex. But never makes it through without whispering filth against your skin.
“Say it. Tell me you’re mine.”
“You’re my failure. The only thing I didn’t calculate.”
He touches you with precision—like dismantling a bomb. Or a clock.
He loves seeing you ride him—but always ends up gripping your waist and setting the pace himself.
After sex, he clings. And if you try to leave, he pulls you back. “Stay.”
He kisses down your stomach with lazy hunger, like he’s memorizing every inch.
“You ruin me,” he says, after coming. “And I keep crawling back.”
You say his name and he shudders. Like it’s the one thing that still reaches him.
You once caught him staring at you while you slept. He said, “Just checking if you’re real.”
After one round, he said: “If we survive this place, I’ll figure out how to love you properly.”
Tumblr media
You nearly die in a game. He loses it.
“Are you stupid? Do you want to die?!”
One tear falls. He looks away.
And then he kisses you in front of everyone. Breathless. Shaking.
“I don’t hate you. I just don’t know how to love someone without ruining them.”
He carries you back. Bandages your wounds. Doesn’t leave your side for hours.
You wake up to him holding your hand. He doesn’t notice.
“Don’t leave me,” he says, voice cracking.
Tumblr media
Final Notes:
Chishiya says he hates you. But he touches you like you're sacred. He hides his heart in sarcasm, in silence, in shadows.
And you—you learn to hear his love in the quiet. In the jacket over your sleeping body. In the hand that reaches for yours in the dark.
Because sometimes, the greatest love is the one he tries hardest to hide.

♤ after he saved your life in a game you had no idea on how to play, you had to repay him. so you couldn’t wait any longer the moment you both arrived at beach and into a room.
you drag him towards the bed and push it him down from his shoulders, he didn’t even have time to react. just a small gasp and a unchanging expression with his eyebrows slightly raised.
“nngh right there dear…nnfh…” chishiya whispered breathlessly, you continue to bop your head up and down, looking up at him as he covered his face with his forearm. “gonna make me cum already baby..” he whimpered, his hand gripping the edge of the bed. “..’ust like that.” his head throwing back a bit.
your pretty mouth licking him off, your hands on his knees. humming and moaning softly on his cock. he’s mostly quiet besides his quiet groans. “mmh, mmff—ggghhn” you gag, trying to continue going fast. the blood splatters on him really added that bit of spice to his now flustered expression.
“shit—! mmgh…” he murmured, “fuck, keep going,” he couldn’t help himself, you felt so good around his dick, your tongue wrapped sloppily. it’s like you’ve been waiting for this moment the entire time. his hips thrusting up, needing to chase that sweet high.
“slow down, yyeah?” his hand suddenly on your head and pushing you down, he lightly tugs on your hair. he wanted you to slow down but you just kept speeding up. his body twitching a little, he was becoming louder. his breathing became more shaky and now both of his hands on your head, pushing down and also tugging. “gonna-…shit- gonna…”
you had to make to make him finish, moving more faster. he couldn’t even get words out from your fast pace.
“gonna—nnghh!”
oh, how good he felt, pushing your head down as your eyes roll back. savoring him. he gasps and finally let’s go of you. he pants softly and gives his usual smug grin. “you’re so good..” his cum spilling in your mouth and down your throat, you promised yourself to swallow everything, not to waste a single drop.
‘thank you for this delicious meal’ you thought as you looked up at him with your big doe eyes that were filled with tears. you swore to make him feel good as payment for your stupidness in a life or death game.

Escape
Pairing: chishiya x reader (no pronouns mentioned)
Summary: chishiya finds you in the backyard after you had a nightmare.
Warnings: a whole lot of fluff, trauma, intercourse implied (no graphic details, it's just about the connection)
Word count: ~1.6k

The scream died in your throat before it could escape. Your body shot upright, drenched in sweat, heart pounding like a war drum. The walls of the hotel room loomed around you, shadows crawling like insects. For a moment you weren't sure if you were still in the game, if the twisted reality of your nightmare had followed you into the waking world.
Your lungs forgot how to breathe.
Hands trembled uncontrollably as you clutched the blanket that had entangled itself around your legs. Your mind still echoed with the shrieks of the last game. A labyrinth of mirrors and blood, of faces you once knew turning monstrous, their final expressions carved into your memory. You could still feel the hot breath of a pursuer on your neck, still smell the metallic tang of fear.
You rocked forward, forehead pressing to your knees. It wasn’t real. It wasn’t real.
But it was, wasn’t it?
Just not this time.
You stumbled out of bed and shoved open the sliding door that led to the backyard of the decrepit hotel. The cold air hit you like a slap, welcome and sharp. The pool was empty, no partying people in sight. The backyard was dead silent and even the stars above looked hollow.
You sat down on one of the old loungers, legs still shaking, wrapping your arms around yourself. The stillness was a rare gift here. In the Borderlands, quiet didn’t mean peace. It meant the storm hadn’t arrived yet.
A faint sound of footsteps approached. Soft, deliberate. You didn’t have to turn to know it was him. Chishiya.
He sat down beside you, his presence light but undeniable, like the brush of a breeze against skin. Pale-haired and unreadable, he seemed more ghost than man in the silver moonlight. You had seen each other here before, always in the quiet of night when sleep was too heavy or too cruel.
“You had a nightmare.” His voice was low, neutral. A statement, not a question. You nodded slowly, not trusting your voice yet.
In the Borderlands, pride was a useless thing. “It was the last game. The one with the mirrors. I thought I was past it. But they keep finding ways to claw back in.”
He was quiet, as if chewing on the image. “You survive here and it still doesn’t let you live.”
“That’s the worst part,” you muttered. “You keep surviving and surviving… until you don’t even know why anymore.”
He leaned back, arms folded across his chest. “This place doesn’t make people cruel. It just removes the layers that hide it.”
You turned to him. “You really believe that?”
Chishiya’s eyes flicked toward yours, sharp, steady, the only thing that ever gave him away. “People like to think they’re good because they’ve never been tested. The Borderlands just test everyone. Over and over. Until all that's left is the truth.”
“Then what’s your truth?” You asked, heart thudding again, not from panic this time, but something else.
He hesitated.
A flicker of emotion crossed his face, so fleeting you might’ve imagined it. “I don’t know anymore,” he said quietly. “I thought I didn’t feel anything. But I keep coming back to this spot. Same time. Same chair.”
Same you, was the unspoken thought.
The silence between you thickened, pulling tight like a string. There had always been a gravity between you, unacknowledged but undeniable. Something in his eyes told you he felt it too. Even if he didn’t want to.
He turned his gaze back to the pool, hands clenched in his lap. "I’ve watched people die. Made decisions that got others killed. Never blinked. But you…” He trailed off, jaw tightening. “You make me hesitate.”
The air between you felt charged, humming like a live wire. You didn’t know who moved first. Maybe both of you did. But suddenly you were closer. Your faces mere inches apart.
You saw the conflict in his eyes. That cold, brilliant mind trying to process what was happening, trying to calculate it like another game. But this wasn’t something that could be measured. It just was.
His hand brushed against yours, hesitant. Then, when you didn’t pull away, he closed the distance.
The kiss was slow. Testing. A question, not an answer. But it deepened quickly, hunger and fear and desperation spilling out in the space where words had failed you.
Chishiya broke it first, breathless, eyes wide, as if the moment had taken him by surprise.
"I shouldn’t…” he whispered. "I know.” You responded.
But you leaned into each other again anyway because shouldn’t had never meant anything in the Borderlands. Not when every day could be the last. Not when your heart ached for something real in a world built on games and death.
In that moment, you weren’t just survivors. You were human. And for once, it felt as if that was enough.
The kiss deepened, growing heavier. Less of a question, more of a plea. His breath hitched as you shifted in closer, your legs straddling him before either of you realised. You could feel the tension in his body, the way his hands hovered over your waist, unsure. Always calculating, always withholding.
But not now.
Now his fingers finally found you, tracing the shape of your hips with a hesitance that quickly gave way to hunger. They roamed upward, memorising every inch and you gasped against his mouth. Your own hands tangled in his hair, pulling him closer, anchoring yourself to something real in this nightmare world.
He broke away, forehead resting against yours. His voice was ragged, breathless. "I need you,” he whispered, barely audible. “So badly. But this… it’s not the right time.”
"I know,” You whispered, “But I don’t care. I need you too.”
His gaze searched yours, that familiar analytical sharpness softening into something raw. Then, without another word, he stood, lifting you easily in his arms. You clung to him, burying your face in the curve of his neck as he carried you through the quiet corridors of the hotel.
His room was cold and dim, but it didn’t matter.
The moment the door clicked shut, he set you down gently, his hands cupping your face as if afraid you might vanish. What followed was not desperation for escape or victory, not the frantic pace of the games you played by day. This was something else. Something sacred.
You undressed each other slowly, like peeling away layers of armor. His lips barely left yours, lingering on your skin as if trying to memorise it. Everything was slow, deliberate. A silent defiance against the chaos of the world outside.
There was something surreal about being in Chishiya’s room, the chaos of Borderlands sealed outside the door. The air was still but charged. Like the moment before a storm, except the storm wasn’t violent. It was something far more intimate.
As you moved toward the bed, it was with a quiet reverence, like crossing into sacred ground. There were no games here, no threats, no masks. Only the two of you. And that, somehow, felt more terrifying than any of the horrors outside.
His fingers brushed over your skin with a hesitation that surprised you. Not from lack of desire but from restraint, as if he feared that touching too deeply might break something inside both of you. For all his control, you could feel how carefully he handled you, like you were something fragile.
And yet, under that care, there was intensity. A kind of desperation that neither of you voiced but both understood.
Every time your lips met, it felt like you were trying to communicate things you couldn’t say. Apologies for everything you've had to become in order to survive. Each kiss lingered too long. Every touch burned with the question: What if this is a mistake?
When your bodies finally met, it wasn’t rushed. It was deliberate. Like you both needed to prove you were alive, here, still capable of something that wasn’t cruelty or calculation. Still capable of connection.
You felt him tremble, not from fear but from something deeper. Vulnerability. He held you like he was letting go of years of walls. And you let him see you completely, not just in body but in every guarded piece of yourself you'd kept hidden since you arrived in this cursed world.
There were no words. There didn’t need to be.
Everything you were feeling, the grief, the longing, the fear, the fierce, trembling hope, was in the way you touched each other. It wasn’t just passion. It was refuge. A space where, for a little while, you weren’t pawns or players. You weren’t just survivors.
You were people. Two broken, bruised souls who had found a brief escape in each other’s arms.
Afterwards, you lay tangled together beneath his thin blanket. The silence was warm now, not empty. Your head rested against his chest, rising and falling steadily. His arms wrapped around you like they didn’t know how to let go.
He didn’t speak for a long time. But you could feel the tension in him. Not physical anymore but emotional. Like he was standing at the edge of something he didn’t understand.
“I wasn’t supposed to feel anything here,” he finally said, voice quiet and strangely fragile. “Not care. Not connect. It’s how I’ve survived. But now… you’ve made everything unclear.”
You reached up, brushing your fingers along his collarbone. “You don’t have to figure it out right now.” He was quiet again, and when he finally spoke, it was almost a whisper. “But I want to.”
His hand found yours beneath the blanket, fingers intertwining. A simple gesture but in this world, in the Borderlands, it felt like something forbidden.
However, it was a welcoming escape from the reoccurring nightmares and the horrors you had to endure.

Shuntaro Chishiya x reader
Fluff❤️‍🩹
TW: insults.
WORDS: 900
REQUESTED: YES/NO
————
It had been months since you had a meal with your friends. You and Chishiya had been very busy lately agreeing on all the details of your wedding, which was to be held in December. Ever since you were very little, you had always dreamed of getting married at Christmas, with a white dress/suit to match the color of the surrounding snow.
Chishiya, on the other hand, had never had much interest in getting married, nor had he had much interest in love. His dreams were not related to having another person, but that changed when he met you. He knew how excited you were about getting married and although he had never thought about it, seeing himself together with you for the rest of your lives was something he didn't want to pass up.
It was during the spring festival. You and Chishiya went to a park, to a part a little out of the way of practically everyone. The pink petals were falling on your heads and you were looking around in delight, Chishiya knew that you always had a soft spot for that festival, you loved to see the city turn pink.
You were standing next to him, talking about how beautiful you found the scene when Chishiya knelt down in front of you and took a small box out of his pocket.
“Would you grant me the honor of spending the rest of my life with you?”
You were a tearful mess, not even bothering to try on the ring as you bent down and hugged him tighter than ever.
You were talking to one of your friends when a call came in. At first you didn't answer, it was probably the wedding ambassador asking for the seventh time in a week what kind of flowers you were going to want; but after persistence, you decided to answer.
“Are you the fiancée of Mr. Shuntaro Chishiya?” Someone asked behind the phone, you frowned quizzically.
“Yes, yes, it's me” you affirmed, moving a little away from your friends to speak more calmly.
“I'm calling from Tokyo hospital, your fiancé has been urgently admitted due to a meteorite that has affected the entire Shibuya neighborhood.”
No, it wasn't possible. You guys didn't even live near that neighborhood, what was Chishiya doing there, was he okay? Your mind clouded with negative thoughts. You weren't ready to lose the love of your life, no one was, but you... you just couldn't, not so few days before your wedding.
Without even saying anything to your group of friends, you got in your car and drove as fast as you could. The streets were in chaos. The road was full of cars, all on their way to the hospital while you could see smoke coming out of the Shibuya neighborhood.
It took you almost an hour to get to the hospital, an hour in which all you could think about was whether Chishiya was well. You were afraid that it was too late and that when you arrived you would be given the news that he had not held on long enough and had already died, but you refused to believe it.
You rushed into the hospital, more desperate than ever, and asked at the front desk about the room. Not bothering to wait for the elevator, you walked up seven floors and carefully opened the door.
Chishiya was in a shared room. There was a black-haired boy with half of his face covered lying on the bed next to Chishiya's. Your fiancé seemed relatively calm. He had that usual calm expression, as if he hadn't been on the verge of death.
“Shuntaro” you whispered with relief to see him safe and sound. “Shuntaro” you said now in a louder tone. Both men turned to look at you. You circled around another boy's bed until you reached Chishiya's and knelt beside the bed, hugging him tightly and shedding tears on his chest. “You scared me to death.” You felt his arms wrap around you and stroke your hair.
“You're overreacting...” he laughed lightly, you looked up to meet his eyes.
“Shut the fuck up...” you said, hugging him again. You clung to him as if he was the only thing that mattered to you. "What were you doing there? You asked in a broken voice, looking into his eyes, which were duller than normal.
“I think I want Lilies at our wedding...” he said, intertwining his hand with yours.
“You're an idiot.” You said and he wiped away your tears with his free hand. He moved to the side and you lay with him on the small hospital gurney.
Chishiya didn't remember why, but holding you in his arms again comforted him, as if he had been wanting to do it for months. He didn't remember, but if he won every game in Borderland he did it so he could go home to his fiancée.
“Chishi…” you whispered, feeling his hand stroking your hair.
“What?” He asked in a soft tone, keeping you as if you were made of glass.
“I love you.” He kissed you in the head as he heard your words.
“Love you more”
You couldn’t imagine a life without Chishiya, but he had to spend two months without even knowing if he would ever see you again. You would die without Chishiya, but he survived only because of you.

You're brushing your teeth when the bedroom door creaks open softly.
“You’re up early,” Chishiya says, voice still deep, barely awake.
You glance at him through the mirror. He’s shirtless, blonde hair sticking up in every direction, a pair of navy sweatpants sitting low on his hips. For a man who graces billboards across countries, it’s ridiculous how soft he looks in the morning — eyes still half-lidded, cheeks faintly flushed, hair a disaster.
You rinse your mouth. “I could say the same. Didn’t you get back from Milan like… six hours ago?”
He shrugs and pads over to you, slipping his arms around your waist from behind. You lean into him easily, his warmth seeping through the thin fabric of your shirt.
“I missed you,” he murmurs into your shoulder. “Jet lag can wait.”
You roll your eyes, but your smile betrays you. “You just missed my cooking.”
“That too,” he says, then kisses the side of your neck lazily. “Also your bed. And how it smells like you. My hotel smelled like detergent.”
You snort, exiting the bathroom and heading towards the kitchen. Chishiya follows behind closely, immediately missing your comfort.
As the water boils, he sits at the kitchen island, chin propped on his hand, watching you with sleepy contentment.
This is what he misses — the parts no one sees. Not the flashing lights, the runways, the editorials. But you in your pajamas, humming while pouring tea. The way you tap the side of your mug to the beat. The sunlight shining down on your hair as it pours through the window.
The world knows Chishiya as the cold, sharp-cheekboned enigma who never smiles in photos. But here, he’s the man who steals your socks, folds laundry with an unnecessary amount of precision, and leaves notes in your lunchbox when you’re stressed.
“You looked beautiful in the Calvin Klein shoot,” you say, handing him a mug.
He smirks over the rim as he takes a sip. “I was half-naked.”
“And still managed to look like you were judging the photographer’s soul.”
“Old habit.”
There’s a pause, filled only by the quiet clink of mugs and the sound of the city waking up outside. He breaks it softly.
“You coming with me to the Seoul show next week?”
You blink. “You want me to?”
Chishiya sets his mug down and leans forward. “You think I keep a spot open in my first-class seat just for my bag?”
“I assumed it was for your skincare products.”
“That’s what the other three bags are for,” he deadpans.
You laugh, and he smiles, really smiles, the kind only you get to see, the one that crinkles his eyes and softens every edge of him. Then he reaches over and laces his fingers through yours across the table.
“Come with me,” he says, quietly this time. “We’ll sneak out between fittings, eat too much street food. You can watch me suffer in designer shoes.”
You glance at your calendar in your mind. You do have some flexibility next week. And Seoul with Chishiya… sounds like a dream.
“You’re paying for my food.”
“Obviously. I’m rich and in love.”
Your heart skips. Even now, even after months together, those words feel like a warm shock.
You raise your brow. “In love, huh?”
He stands, walks around the table, and kisses your forehead like it’s a vow. “Hopelessly. Tragically. Publicly, if I have to.”
You can’t stop grinning. “Well, in that case, I guess I’ll come.”
“Good.” He tugs you into a full embrace this time, nuzzling your hair. “It’s a crime to look this good and not have you by my side.”
You laugh into his chest, feeling the steady rhythm of his heart beneath your hands.
The cold, famous Chishiya may belong to the world. But this version — the soft, sleepy, completely smitten version, belongs entirely to you.

—Quiet
A/n;it’s rlly short I’m sorry, I wanted to do this but I didn’t know what to write, so my apologies if it’s bad 🙏🏻
Pairing; chishiya shuntaro x reader
Tumblr media
—screw this game. That’s the bitter thought that stays in your head, his king of spades game is total bullshit. Even you had to admit, it was challenging, having to stay alive against this guy.
Chishiya remained cool though, his nonchalant demeanor not once faltering, it was honestly kind of admirable-as it was also kind of irritating.
“Wonder how long this game is gonna last..” he muses underneath his breath with a small hum as he stares at the small fire he made, the fire crackling lightly against the quiet sound of wildlife around you and the little campsite you guys are at-evading from the king of spades.
You were barely listening to what he was saying, the events of the past day finally catching up to you, and you can feel your eyelids getting heavier with every passing second, your body starting to become sluggish.
Chishiya notices your silence, but doesn’t speak of if, until he realizes that you’re not replying to his statement, and then he feels it. Your head drops down onto his shoulder with a light and barely audible thump, the action causing him to freeze slightly, his head turning to look at you with a small mumble of your name.
You don’t reply, not even slightly tilting your head in acknowledgment like you usually would, and it hits him, you’re asleep.
He lets out a small huff of amusement and slight annoyance, but that annoyance fades as quickly as it came and he just looks back at the fire he set up, letting you sleep in his shoulder without much resistance, keeping as still as he can so you won’t stir, and he knows once you awake up he’s gonna tease the hell out of you for it.
But he can’t bring himself to wake you up, so he just lets you lean against him and nuzzle up against his shoulder, completely out of it. He even slightly leans his head against yours, but that’s the most he brings himself to do.
