ok so you live in a factory town. pretty much everyone in town works in this factory. your mom works there, your aunt works there, you work there even though you’re only a child. the factory produces an extremely volatile chemical that is used as an anesthetic during medical procedures. you work long shifts. you get high with the other children during your shift. the company that owns the factory got its start making topical salves. your mom is sick. she can’t breathe. the ceo of the company sees god in you. you are sent away to boarding school. your mom dies while you’re at school. you never even get to say goodbye. all you have left of her is the breathing tube that kept her alive until it didn’t. the tube was manufactured by a company that got its start making topical salves. you’re doing well in school. you become the valedictorian and you are granted a prestigious fellowship which allows you to take on more rigorous studies. you invent a new medical procedure. an experimental brain surgery that will allow people to forget about work when they’re not working. the ceo of the company takes credit for your invention, and you are threatened into silence. the factory in your hometown shuts down. you end up working in the corporate office, managing the workers who have undergone your procedure. you are fired. the daughter of the man who stole your invention tells you that you have overestimated your contributions and underestimated your blessings. happened to my good friend, harmony cobel.

Does your OC love it or hate it if someone makes comparatives/comments about them relating to actual rabbits?

Ether loves being compared to an actual rabbit. He actually adores it, and “cottontail” is one of his favorite nicknames. However, he usually keeps this to himself and doesn’t outwardly express these emotions - or so he thinks (his ears will betray him).

Ether doesn’t really remember his first kiss that much, or who it was even with. He remembers being in the woods one day, doing his usual rounds as a wood warder. He was young, but still older than others who were at his skill level. He vaguely remembers it being with another Vieran warder. But he’s lived on for so long and has pressed his mouth against so many others that he’s since pushed the experience from his mind.

currently reading the iliad again and also reread sections of camp half-blood confidential and part of the the hidden oracle and it hit me that these four were likely campers at the same time before the trojan war happened and thus this mini reference sheet was born.

no but imagine your fuckass peers you probably had beef with when you were younger and probably thought "i'm never seeing those bitches again" and then a ten year long war where you're on opposing sides happens and the gods are heavily involved, including the one that brought you to/established camp in the first place.

okay guys. after a *checks the time* 10 hour school day, i was finally able to watch harumasa’s character demo and all i can say is that i have a few thoughts.

the bird we see in the beginning is a sign of an ethereal. it also symbolizes him in a sense, white feathers, very bright yellow eyes. the young boy we hear in the beginning is most definitely younger harumasa. the bird kept watch of him before flying away, making him wake up.

we find out that he has two scars? holes? on the side of his neck and his choker is used a cover. he fears he’d turn into an ethereal and relies on medication to keep himself in check.

it seems that he was heavily tested on as a child, as the only time the testing failed was when he was younger. this caused him to be shot in the neck to regain control over himself. this is also the only time we ever see him have heterochromia eye color (maybe his eyes turn a different color if he becomes an ethereal)

he wakes up again after having another nightmare of his past. it’s clear that he can’t just easily ignore the fact that he can become an ethereal, hence why his story states that it is a secret he holds within him that he cannot get over or leave behind. the mirror shatters and a flock of white birds with yellow eyes come flying right towards him but you can see that they carry the same green color as ethereals.

remember the bird in the beginning? maybe instead of flying away, it was flying towards the young boy. just like how harumasa was slowly walking towards the boy at the end and in his eyes, was slowly turning into an ethereal.

yeah thats it. i think i just stated like supremely obvious things but i look forward to finding out more about him. also his birthday is july 18th i think YIPEE HIM AND I ARE BOTH JULY BABIES

ok but like, Modest!Alicent Hightower au (more modest than she already is) cause I feel like it, it adds ✨layers✨

Alicent who veils her hair during her day to day life, elegant laces and silks adorning her long ginger-brown hair, covering it completely at the Sept.

Alicent who wears dresses with long heavy skirts and always covers her elbows with billowing sleeves.

Alicent who conceals her silhouette with thick shaping garments. they also just helped her back during her pregnancies and taking care of kids (her servants recommended them so she'd have full range of motion and support)

Alicent who was stripped of her modesty, her dignity and sense of security whenever Viserys wanted her. stripped of it by her own father when he sent her to Viserys's chambers in a dress that didn't cover as much as she would have liked, especially when she visited a man with those (silent) instructions.

Alicent who lets her hair down around people she trusts. covering it around Rhaenyra after she abandoned her, a blow to Rhaenyra, a blatant "you hurt me and broke my trust". letting Criston see her hair after he becomes her sworn sword. covering in front of Viserys until he demands she stops. Alicent putting a little makeshift veil on her daughter, who wanted to look like her mum, promising it would protect her from how loud the world was.

Alicent who only trusts her closest servants to dress her, and even then insists on being in a full shift before they can come in.

Alicent who felt stripped bare while giving birth to her children.

little Alicent looking up to her mum who was also very modest, and spending her childhood playing in long skirts.

Alicent who wears shawls and scarves out in public or at events. Criston watches to make sure she remains properly covered. her hands fiddling with the patterns or tassels while she talks to others.

Alicent doing this with her kids:

Criston offering her his cloak when she's put in bad situations like sudden crowds or outings.

wearing flowy but opaque fabrics during the summers, looking ethereal and goddess-like with her layers skirts and sleeves.

the whole Larys situation being even more sickening.

all 3 of her sons being protective of her modesty alongside Criston, always offering their cloaks to her or standing to block her from the wind or wandering eyes. Aegon holding her veil in place when it's windy, Aemond placing a cloak over her in public, Daeron fiercely defending his mum from lusting glances or lingering stares.

Helaena continuing to veil with her mum when they go out, they love matching veils and trying ornate styles.

Alicent fixing her daughters veil in attempts to get it to stay in on dragon back. it doesn't. but they don't mind the extra bonding time none the less.

gold veils that literally make her look like she's dripping in gold.

tucking her babes in her shawls or holding them against her skirts that are practically swallowing them whole.

Alicent collecting layers. Ornate undergarments that cover her arms in gold and embroidered patterns, some almost like tapestries others more simple. undershirts that cover her neck, with "choker" patterns and sewn in jewels. modest nightgowns and robes made of the softest, most breathable fabrics in existence.

covering her face on holy days/days of importance.

I just have so many thoughts.
