Masterpost
There was a hero that all of the Justice League knew about. They'd only technically been on the scene for a few years, but there were records of them and their heroism going back the oldest human records. They were probably even older than that! They were mentioned in every mythology, every civilization. Quietly, they called them a hero.
They had many names and many domains, but they were most commonly depicted as a psychopomp and/or messenger. Anubis, Hermes, Mercury, Morana, Charun, Xolotl, Valkyrie, Heibai Wuchang, Shinigami, Tarakeshwara, Gupan and Ugar, Isimud, Raja Indainda, and Sraosha were all names they were known by. Now, though, they went simply by Phantom.
None of the Justice League had had the opportunity to interact with Phantom, though not for lack of trying. Something always got in their way when they tried. Until now, that is.
None of the heroes technically remembered anything that happened, but Batman and The Flash had placed contingencies at the very beginning of the Justice League that could track whenever time was messed with. Could it tell them what happened or who did it? No. All it could alert them to was that something in the timeline had changed, though Batman was working on upgrading it for more details.
It was protocol, whenever time's been messed with, to check up on heroes throughout the world. Usually, this was just a quick check from the Watchtower, then a call to their non-emergency contacts, but occasionally a hero would drop by for an in-person visit.
Phantom had been harder to track down than a Bat playing hide-and-seek, and it was even harder to actually get into contact with them!
After two years of sifting through history and mythology books, Green Arrow had finally managed to track down Phantom.
Amity Park, Missouri was not the place he expected to find a being older than human records, but he's seen weirder.
Green Arrow showing up in the middle of Missouri alone would've raise more questions than it was worth, so he decided to bring along The Flash because it'd be less weird for the hero who actually lived in the state to be there. That being said, they both decided that showing up in full hero garb would attract a lot of unwanted attention, so they decided to go in their civvies before approaching Phantom at night as heroes. It would also give them a good amount of time to pick out a schedule, if Phantom had one.
Barry yawned as he stepped off the plane behind Oliver. "What're we doing here again?"
"I told you," Oliver said, "We're here to see Phantom."
Barry missed a step, nearly falling on his face. "You didn't say we were here to see Phantom!" he hissed.
"I didn't? Must've slipped my mind."
"You, sir, are an ass."
A huffed laugh from behind made the two turn around.
The girl was a teenager, probably in her last year of high school. She was dressed in a Nu Goth style. Her clothing was all black, though her choker and lipstick was royal purple. Her hair, too, was dyed black with royal purple bangs cut to a point in the middle of her forehead. Her earrings, just poking out from where they were covered by her hair, were of the lesbian and aromantic flags.
She raised an eyebrow at them. "What? You're having a conversation in a public area. I'm gonna laugh if you say something stupid."
Barry rubbed the back of his neck, "That's fair, miss..?"
She looked them both up and down obviously before locking eyes with Barry. "Don't deal with anything even close to magic, man, sharing names is, like, the first thing on the list of what not to do."
It was Oliver's turn to raise his eyebrow at her. "You deal a lot with magic?"
"My grandma's a witch. She taught me most of what I know."
"And the rest?"
"Sam!" The call would've cut her off if she had opened her mouth to answer. She turned to face a kid who was walking over from the direction of the bathrooms. "You're not harassing these guys, right?"
"Nope. Just having a conversation."
The boy looked skeptical behind his tinted glasses. "A 'me' conversation or a 'you' conversation?"
"A Danny conversation."
"That's worse."
"And you're only contributing to it."
The boy sighed, straightened out his shirt, then held out his left hand to Oliver and Barry for a handshake. "Ignore her, she's a jerk."
She snorted, but didn't deny it.
The boy was wearing black jeans, a grey shirt over a white undershirt, a grey plaid jacket, and a red beanie. His glasses were thick, black frames and the lenses were tinted just enough to not be considered sunglasses.
"No harm done," Barry assured, "You are?"
"Tucker," he answered, "You?"
"I'm Barry and this is Oliver."
"Cool, cool," Tucker said, "It was nice to meet you guys, but we've got a ride waiting."
"No problem," Oliver smiled, "It was nice meeting you, too."
They watched the two kids go until they were swept away by the crowd.
"You think we'll be seeing them again?" Barry asked.
Oliver smirked. "How much are you willing to bet?"
Barry laughed. "With our odds? Nothing."
"You're no fun."
Ignoring him, Barry continued on to the bag collection. "Let's just hurry up. Where're we going?"
"It's a town called Amity Park."
"Amity Park?"
"Yep,"
"Weird. I don't remember a town with that name in the state."
"Really?"
"Yeah,"
"Strange," Oliver hummed, "Let's follow the lead wherever it goes, then."
Don't say that," Barry groaned, grabbing his bag, "Because whenever someone says that, it takes forever to get anything done and I only have a week off, man."
"Then get a new job."
"Says you! You could by a small country and still have enough to buy this country!"
"You're confusing me with Bruce."
"That man's richer than god."
"And I'm not?"
"No. You're as rich as god, but not richer."
"That's a fair assessment."
Finding a taxi was easy. Finding one that would take them to Amity Park was a bit harder.
Amity Park, Missouri was in the same state as Central City, but Oliver refused to drive for that long, so they'd taken a plane from Central City Airport to Perryville Regional Airport. From there, they were going to take the state highway to MO-51, get off onto Pcr 917, and finally stop right in the middle of the road.
Another thing Oliver conveniently forgot to tell Barry was the Amity Park was in the middle of nowhere. It wasn't on any maps, no website with any allusion to it held directions, and no one who'd been there could say how to get there.
They did, eventually, find a taxi. Throw enough money at someone and they'll do what you want. However, the driver had stated, in no uncertain terms, that he would be dropping them outside the town and they'd have to walk in a straight line to get in.
The wording had been oddly specific. The two disguised heroes followed them to a T.
In the middle of nowhere, surrounded on all sides by trees, was the moderately sized town of Amity Park. There was a single road that cut through the middle, separating the residentials from the corporations.
(Corporations was a strong word. There wasn't a single Wal-Mart or Amazon Warehouse anywhere.)
On the way in was a sign that Oliver and Barry had both taken photos of and studied until they'd memorized it: Welcome to Amity Park! The Most Haunted Place On Earth watch out for Rogue Ghosts.
'Rogue' was an odd word to capitalize.
"I didn't even know this was here," Barry said in awe of the big green park in the middle of the road. It was the very center of the town and the main road wrapped right around it. "There's been a town here this whole time?"
Oliver breathed in deeply. The air was cleaner than anywhere he'd been, and he's been to some really clean places. There was almost a sweet quality to it, smelling similar to candied apples.
"How as a place like this even exist?" Barry asked. He was kneeling in the grass, examining it closely. It was an unsettlingly perfect shade of green.
"Your guess is as good as mine," Oliver said, "Come on, let's find somewhere to stay."

rotating this crossover in my brain. again. i am not gonna say that the kitty is unlucky Because it is a black cat But. it sure is in situations often. lower are vague end-game Ghost Trick spoilers, go play the game! (or you know, watch a lets play) its short and sweet and has a good resent remaster for pc.
Tumblr media
my current thought is that sissel got lost on a road trip? maybe fell through a portal? and is kinda stuck in the middle of nowhere usa. Shenanigans ensue. that happens when you have an increadibly powerful energy source stuck in a kinda defenceless body (not counting the time powers. which i am sure clockwork has nothing to say about and danny specifically doesnt have any negative experience with.)

Ok phandom peeps, I need to get something off my chest. I cannot stop thinking about it, it’s so funny that this happened to me!
So I’ve been casually perusing the DP fandom for a while, right? Like for several years at least! What can I say? I like art! So at various points I had talked to my aunt about some stuff related, like fun stuff about the phandom and the existence of ghost king aus and stuff. Recently though, I found a fanfic that I spent AN ENTIRE DAY reading and doing nothing else! Like I stayed up late the night before, woke up to immediately read more! I don’t normally read fanfics, let alone any long form story, cuz my attention span is shit and has been shit basically all my life! So in the evening when I was a good chunk of the way through the fic, I talked to my aunt about it! Cuz it’s funny! I found a lot of things in it very amusing and wanted to share!
And then she asked for a link…
The next thing I know, within a few months, probably 3 months later at most, my aunt starts telling me about phandom lore I had never even heard of before! She literally made an ao3 account!!! Guys I am floored! I’ve been idly watching from the shadows for so long, and then I accidentally get my aunt into the phandom and she starts telling me about a red duck candle that’s apparently been integral DPxDC lore for YEARS!
What have I DONE???

As for me? I am going back to screaming into my pillow.
Kindred Spirits (175242 words) by NightFlame33 Chapters: 31/34 Fandom: Batman - All Media Types, Danny Phantom, Justice League - All Media Types Rating: Teen And Up Audiences Summary: When on patrol one night, Red Robin ends up critically injured by a powerful, young ghost. Fortunately, a glowing boy is there to save him. Unfortunately, it involves stabilizing Tim with something that looks eerily like Lazarus Water. With a brief, yet vague explanation of ghosts, ectoplasm, and something called the GIW, the boy - self-proclaimed Phantom - vanishes. Tim launches himself into research, discovering a plethora of new revelations into ghosts and the spirits that reside within and alongside their world. Some a little closer to home than others. As Tim and his family continue to search for answers, they'll discover government coverups, magic beyond even the knowledge of Justice League Dark, and a town that tows the border of life and death. Meanwhile, Danny Fenton is having the time of his half-life at Gotham U, balancing engineering classes with his kingly duties in the Infinite Realms. But when Phantom ends up on the Bats' radar, his delicate balance might be upset entirely. But then again, Danny Fenton has never been one to retreat from trouble. And he certainly isn't about to start when it comes in the form of one very attractive Tim Drake-Wayne.

I have something to confess. The only DC media I have ever consumed is Lego Batman. The only Danny phantom media I have consumed is a recap video on the entire series played at x2 speed.
I read dcxdp fanfiction constantly. I watched that recap video specifically so I could read dcxdp fanfic. I read crossover fanfic of two series I never watched. Pretty much all of my knowledge either comes from fandom or my brother who likes DC.

I have been tagged by @batrogers!!
1. How many works on AO3? 241
2. Total AO3 word count? 1.25mil. Almost to my 3rd AO3 anniversary :D (that's around 1,170 words every day for three years, not counting nonpublished words! Proud of that rate, even if it's slowing.)
3. Top 5 fics by kudos:
Status? about Four. I think this one hits the sweet spot for a lot of people: not too long, a bit angsty, but sweet.
so i admit that the mud didn't do much for me, about Hyrule. Actually the first fic I ever posted on this account, it's silly and I'm surprised to see it so high
incandescently happy, a post-LU happy ending. Posted little chapters every day for like a month which kept it in people's feeds so I think that's why it's so high
what is a stump supposed to do, a random Hyrule & Four one, honestly baffled why it's up here
Rise and Shine and Fall, my successful (by that I mean actually wrote and posted every day on schedule) Whumptober 2022 extravaganza compilation. I posted it all in one work, so it's higher than most other whump fics of mine, but there's a lot in it!
4. What fandoms do you write for? Zelda. In the past I wrote a tiny bit of Danny Phantom and a fair amount of FE3H!
5. Do you respond to comments? Always!! I admit to being SO VERY BEHIND right now, a couple months' worth. I'm trying to keep up on new ones, but I've had some beautiful wonderful readers going through my catalog and I can't always keep up!! XD
6. Fic with the angstiest ending: I don't write a lot of negative endings, so I think this badge goes to Counterbalance, my LU Darks AU. I'm actually fully in love with this fic, it's probably the best mix of silly and angsty I've ever written. It's full of what are essentially OCs but they're all my babies and I love them.
7. Fic with the happiest ending: incandescently happy, post-LU. The whole fic is essentially a fix-it ending, though LU doesn't have an ending yet. XD
8. Do you get hate? A couple silly comments trying to tell me I'm doing things wrong, but not really no! Oh, also can't forget the ask I got that was "Remember that Jesus is your first reader." I think that was meant to be passive aggressive but there's a chance it was meant like, genuinely? Not sure.
9. Do you write smut? Nah. And I don't plan to. Not my thing! Closest I get are vampire bites XD
10. Do you write crossovers? I swear I've done more but the only ones on my AO3 are a Vidow fic done in an original world (Nothing New Under the Sun (crystals, dumplings, jewelry)), and Blood-Sucker's Guide to High School, a Vidow retelling of a very fun vampire novel.
11. Ever had a fic stolen? Nope, but I did have one of my Vidow fake fic book covers stolen for someone's fake fiverr listing. Got it taken down with a DMCA but I was like, why
12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Not to my knowledge.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic? Oh plenty. @enrolio and I spent most of 2020-21 lockdowns and beyond cowriting, mostly original stories (1.7mil) but a lot of fic, too (nothing published, but almost 400k worth.) We're currently in the process of working on a big epic original fantasy series, though that's a long-term project. @batrogers and I have done a few alt-POV-type projects too, which have been super duper fun!! Hope to do more.
In that vein too, I feel like the Bad End Links kind of qualify here—so much of the characters and their stories were brainstormed collaboratively and so many friends have contributed details and fics and art, it feels like a fun group project! I've really enjoyed working on it. :D (the encouragement and hype for it also helps a lot!! I'm really hoping to finish this big project out!)
14. All-time favorite ship? Ahhhh a harder question than you'd think, tbh, even if you're limiting it to fic. I've written the most for Vidow, and they're definitely up there (same with Fourdow though I've done less with them.) I do have to admit that Linhardt/Byleth might take the cake, though. They were the first ship I was ever actually obsessed with, and the first romantic pairing I wrote in fic.
I just really adore Linny in general, and I love how the pairing continues and closes off some of the themes in the Crimson Flower route of FE3H. That's the only route where Byleth doesn't become archbishop-slash-dictator, and I think choosing to live life in a small cottage, not particularly contributing too much to the government, builds nicely upon the themes of becoming human and choosing your own destiny, themes that are really missing from the other routes.
15. WIPs you want to finish but doubt you ever will? My old AO3 account (a couple FE3H fics and not much else) has a series where I wrote the beginning of a fic and then had several different endings planned, each a different ship with Linhardt, but I only ever wrote one. I'd love to read the rest but I have too many other fics calling my name!
16. Writing strengths? Um... Volume and speed? Also AUs. I think I can call myself good at fitting characters into new settings. Also fight scenes are fun and I think I do them well.
17. Writing weaknesses? I feel somewhat weak in the plotting and style realms.
18. Thoughts on mixed language dialogue? You can't count on a reader to know not-tagged languages, so that has to be accounted for in the text.
19. First fandom you wrote for? Danny Phantom, in high school or maybe just after. That's late for a lot of fic writers but... there are reasons for that, and a different discussion!!
20. Favorite fic you've ever written? This is an extremely rude question, because I love so many for different reasons. I write things I want to read!! Counterbalance (for the tone) and Blood-Sucker's Guide (for the finished novel plot) are up there but I linked them above, so I'll take the chance to call out a different few—Marvelous Misadventures is way up there, a Wind-focused modern with magic AU. I promise I'm still working on that last chapter (and the epilogue), I just gotta throw everything else aside one month and buckle down. Maybe June, I don't have any fic events planned and 06/23 was the last update. I think some earlier chapters need a refresh as well, once I have the ending written.
I'll also toss White Walls (medwhump, "non consensual body modification: the fic") into this category for how long it is and how proud I am to have finished even a collection this long, and a long walk, a Linked Nexus fic where I did so much math and had so much fun with it. :D

Hey! You might be really into DC lore but that’s a good thing! Introduce more of the DCU to Danny phantom characters. Make all the crossovers you can think of it allows the people like me who only know DC stuff through dpxdc crossover to look up stuff about the people to learn more. go buck wild with all the characters.
Oh you betcha man! My main goal for this blog was to post ideas out of the norm and to add more DC knowledge to the dpxdc fandom. It’s simply that Blue Devil is a decently low tier hero so even casual DC fans might not be aware of the guy so I’d have to explain more than I currently have the brainpower or energy to do so.

DPxDC Negativity
Hey this is just a friendly reminder that I'm going to put in the plainest terms that I can.
If you are telling people how they should and should not participate in fandom you are GATEKEEPING
If you are telling people that they need to read more comics before writing fanfic you are GATEKEEPING
If you are telling people that they need to do more research into canon in any form, whether that be reading wikis, reading comics, watching shows, whatever you are GATEKEEPING
If you are telling people that what they are writing is not canon compliant and therefore not a valid way to participate in fandom you are GATEKEEPING
Fandom is supposed to be fun
Fanfiction is supposed to be fun
We are not writing these stories for anyone but ourselves. And to tell someone that they are participating in fandom wrong is GATEKEEPING
There are plenty of fanfics in the DC only sphere and the DP sphere that are so far away from canon it's unreal and that's totally okay!
People are allowed to enjoy fandom in however the hell they please. If that means they are writing a crap ton of Batfam/Danny Phantom content and not very much Justice League/DP content, that's totally okay.
If someone read the Wayne Family Adventures Webtoon and decided that they want to write Danny being adopted into a loving and crazy Batfamily that is totally one hundred percent fine.
If someone wants to write Danny with abusive and neglectful parents guess what? they can.
If they want to write Vlad as being a nurturing and loving godfather to Danny, they can.
What I'm trying to explain to you all is that it's okay to write things that are not canon compliant. It's okay to write things that are so far away from canon it's not even recognizable--I mean have you even read a fantasy au or a no capes au? That's basically just slapping a characters name and face to an OC. And guess what? THAT'S OKAY.
It's also okay to want to see more people interact with the canon lore, to want to share resources and tell people about your special interests. But the moment you start doing it and it makes people feel bad-- even if that is not your intention you are GATEKEEPING.
Gatekeeping is defined as the activity of controlling, and usually limiting, general access to something.
By you telling others what they should and should not write, you are being a gatekeeper.
I get it, you want to share lore, you want to show that you know all these cool things about DC. You want more than just batfam and DP content. That's totally valid and really cool.
Do it yourself.
Don't take someone else's joy away simply because it's not what you want to see. They aren't writing it for you, they're writing it for themselves. You're just a lucky person who gets to see the beautiful works that they are putting time and effort into.
When I joined DPxDC I knew absolute shit about DC. Over the last year, I've read over 400 issues of the Batman comics, read all of the Red Robin series, and a smattering of random other comics with plans to read others. But when I started writing? I knew jackshit. My knowledge came from the Teen Titans cartoon, the Batman animated series, and vague memories of watching the Justice League animated series as a kid.
And if Dis from a year ago saw this gatekeeping shit, they would have never started writing for the fandom because they would have been too scared to be told they were doing it wrong.
Now? I'm writing DC only fics based off of what I learned in the comics and it's a lot of fun.
But I did that because I wanted to, I was starting to get more and more interested in DC and I wanted to know more. And I had access to pay for DC Infinite so that I could get access to the comics. Not everyone has that luxury.
Not everyone has the luxury of being able to read them from free sites either. Maybe they have to use a public computer that doesn't have ad blockers. Maybe their local libraries don't have access to the comics. You don't know what their situation is.
Maybe you're being well intentioned. Maybe you're just wanting to share your wealth of knowledge with the fandom. But remember, if just one person is getting hurt by your statements, that means you're no longer being helpful. You're being harmful. You're scaring off a new fan who was super insanely excited to start sharing their headcanons.
You're making people feel unwelcome. And that's not fucking cool.
Fandom is supposed to be a welcoming space for everyone, it's supposed to uplift and bring joy. Not make people feel bad for not knowing enough, or for feeling too anxious to even begin figuring out where in the 75 year history of DC they should start reading.
I know that's what kept me from reading the comics for a long time. it was just too overwhelming. It still is overwhelming for me and thats with having friends telling me where to start and what comics are best to read.
Before I end this super hella long rant I want to remind you of one last thing.
You don't know what someone has read or researched before writing their fic. You don't know just how much they know about that character or universe. For all you know, they may have read, watched, consumed every single piece of DC media in existence. But they may still interpret it different than you did and that does not mean that their Bruce Wayne is OOC because it doesn't align with how you interpret Bruce Wayne. it just means that they view his character differently than you do.
And that's such a beautiful fucking thing don't you think? That a single character, a single universe, a single fucking line can be interpreted hundreds of different ways by hundreds of different people and it's still valid.
It's what makes fandom so freaking cool in the first place.
Like one day someone woke up and they were watching Danny Phantom and they thought hm, what if I had Danny Fenton go to Gotham one day and hang out with the bats? And next thing you know, now we have thousands upon thousands of different fanfics, fan art and HCs, all because of it. All because someone had that one idea and shared it and others saw it, interpreted it their own way, and decided to create even more.
And now we're here! And this fandom is beautiful and thriving. There are so many amazing and lovely people in this fandom. There are so many discords to talk about fandom, there's so many events, a DPxDC Bang is the works, a DPxDC fanzine is in the works.
That's so fucking cool and we should be celebrating that! Not making others feel bad for not knowing as much as others.

BETWEEN A ROCK & A DRAGON'S EGG - CHAPTER 14 (UPDATE)
My links keep breaking!!
Fandom: DC x DP Pairing: Dead Tired (Danny/Tim) Rating: Teen High Fantasy AU, Arranged Marriage, and Dragons (oh my!) Chapter 14
TEASER:
The shouting didn’t stop, even as Danijel scrambled down from the roof. It was with pure brute strength he managed it all through his laughing. Tim, a little high on adrenaline from the close call because he had not noticed the loose shingle and nearly fell three stories, flipped himself over the edge. Broke his fall with a roll and a handspring just because he could.
The shopkeeper startled, recognizing Tim. “Oh! Your Highness!” he exclaimed.
“I am so sorry, we were being –,” Tim resisted elbowing Danijel as he snickered. “If we caused any damage, we’ll fix it.”
Then, before the man could reply, Danijel pulled Tim away. “Go go go, before he decides to put us to work.”
“Would he do that?” Tim chanced a glance over his shoulder. A little girl had joined the shop owner, the widest grin Tim had ever seen splitting her face. He waved. She waved back.
“I don’t know, and I’m not staying to find out.” Danijel herded him bodily. “Yes, cute kid. Keep moving.”
“Gods, you’re pushy.” Tim sprinted a few steps just to make Danijel have to run after him and to make the pushing stop. “The look on his face.”
They burst into laughter again. “He was probably expecting a dragon on his roof. Not Shadow and Phantom’s husband.”
It was comical. Gothamites were so used to the pitter patter of feet on their roofs. And the people of the village probably were too - just different feet, ones with claws. And certainly not the polished prince Phantom brought home from the treaty.
“Oh my gods, stop it!” Tim shouted, attempting again to elbow Danijel's side when he moved to trip him. “Spirits, even Damian is more mature than you.”
Danijel stepped away, a hand on his possibly bruised ribs. “Seems he might be more mature than you too.” His laughter petered off into chuckles. “You seemed handy with that sword, Fright mentioned it wasn’t your preferred weapon. What is?”
Tim smirked. “Did you want to spar? I don’t think you know what you’re getting into.”
With a hearty scoff, Danijel crossed his arms. “You sound pretty confident. Sure, let’s go. I gotta feed Wraith. Meet me at the training grounds in about fifteen minutes.”
Excitedly, Tim bounced on his toes before he settled. It was a relief to let out the pent up energy, even if Danijel regarded Tim like he was an excited puppy. “I haven’t met Wraith. Is that the drake you had with you in Trenton?”
“Yeah, she’s a brat.” He tilted his head. And smirked down at Tim, a disgusting mix of confident and brash. “Come on then. And then I’ll put you in the dirt.”
Arrogant! Oh, Tim could not wait to show him. He knew he was unassuming at best, but it was common knowledge Bruce had trained him. Even Fright Knight had been impressed, and he hadn’t even seen Tim in a fight yet.
Laughing, he pushed Danijel. Then dodged a swipe and took off running. They weren’t far from the tower, and he was sure Danijel would catch up quickly. Over his shoulder, he quipped “You’re going to look so dumb when I win.”
○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○
Danny noticed them almost immediately. Laughter, loud and bright below him in the courtyard drew his attention. Like a moth to a flame, Danny absolutely had no chance at ignoring it.
The prince. Smiling brightly, unabashedly laughing and elbowing Dan who grinned back, bent nearly double in delighted guffaws. Danny froze.
Ancients. Danny swore low and ardently under his breath. It had been so long since he’d seen his brother so unburdened. Because of course, Danny’s own stress had been heavy not just on himself but his family as well. A mixture of grief and relief swirled in him like oil and water.
The sudden urge to jump down and join them had Danny rocking onto his toes. But he forced himself back, deeper into the shadowy balcony. He wasn’t welcome here. The prince’s terror and disgust, bitter on his tongue, was still so fresh.
Before the bonds could sour, Danny ruthlessly tamped down on his emotions. Let them be happy. That’s all Danny wanted, all he had ever wanted. For his people, his family, to have some sort of peace, stability. Happiness.
All of his efforts would be worth it. And look, Danny thought to himself, his breaths short in his chest, aching, look, it already is.
The naked joy Dan reflected at the prince was a salve on his bruised heart. It was fine, truly. Danny’s hurts meant nothing if… if this. A bubble of bright delight, somehow surfacing in spite of multiple generations of trauma and terror. Pariah Dark and his atrocities, all of it forgotten for a bliss-filled moment.
The sun shined in the Keep again.
The prince said something. And though he was too far to hear it, Danny knew his brother scoffed, making the prince bounce excitedly for a moment before he remembered himself and settled on his heels. Danny wrapped his arms around himself loosely. There was a bare honesty to the prince just then.
He was beautiful. Glowed with it, eyes shining and mouth in a lop-sided grin as he spoke. Danny could only watch, entranced. If only he could breathe, chest tight and heart thudding like he was mid battle.
The scuff of a boot drew his attention. Phantom turned slowly from the scene in the courtyard. Val stared at him, face hard. Though it softened as the prince laughed again. She joined him to covertly watch the pair. There was a knowing tilt to her head.
The prince shoved Dan, nimbly dodged Dan’s attempt to catch him and took off in a skittering sprint. He said something over his shoulder as Dan took off after him that spurred his brother to pour into a full run. They took off in the direction of the tower, leaving Danny and Val on the balcony. The echoes of their laughter, a welcome guest.
Danny breathed, just for a moment to savor it. Closed his eyes against the bright fresh press of his bond with Dan, consciously pushed something like love-here-glad into it. In return, it stirred in acknowledgment and knowing-yes-love.
When he opened his eyes, Val was watching him, still reflecting his posture. “We going to talk about this?”
“My marriage? No. It isn’t really your business, is it?” He turned to her fully. She rolled her eyes.
“It kind of is. What happens when he writes home to say you hate him?” Danny opened his mouth to protest, but Val spoke over him. “Which is totally what it looks like to anyone with half a brain, by the way. What do you think King Wayne or the others in the League will do in retaliation when they find out you’re freezing out the prince?”
“I don’t hate him, he hates me,” Danny grumbled under his breath and hoped Val didn’t hear. “It doesn’t matter. The treaty isn’t contingent on the marriage. It’s just one facet of it. The first import of dry goods from Gotham will arrive soon, they already have our gold. We wanted to secure lasting peace and show the League the Infinite Lands aren’t a threat.”
Stubbornly, Val jutted out her chin. “You don’t uphold a treaty by honoring only parts of it.”
If she wanted to litigate the terms of the treaty with him, so be it. “The contract says nothing about loving him. It outlines a marriage of equals and fair treatment. The purpose is to create friendship between the nations.” With a wide arc of his, Danny gestured to the courtyard where the prince and his brother had been. “What about that didn’t look like friendship to you?”
“You are so stupid, it is actually painful.” Val scowled at him. “What about your behavior is ‘fair treatment’, huh?”
The part where I respect the prince and his wishes to have nothing to do with me, Danny didn’t say. But it seemed his face said it for him when Val’s expression turned into something pitying. Regardless that they held no bond, she always could see the truth of him. The folly of a life-long friendship.
“Oh, Danny.”

DPxDC and it's predecessor (Miraculous Ladybug)
So.... if you're in the Danny Phantom fandom you are familiar with the subsection of this fandom obsessed with crossovers with the DC universe (especially with Batman & associates).
But I, along with many others, am cursed with the knowledge of the fact that there was/is another fandom that's crazy about crossovers with Batman. The Miraculous Ladybug fandom.
It's been driving me crazy thinking about the similarities and differences between DPxDC and MLxDC fandoms (don't worry I'm I an ashamed/proud member of both)
(I'm gonna be bringing up some AO3 stats later, so be excited nerds)
But first, I just wanna acknowledge that some similarities are just bc they are tropes common in a lot of crossover fic in general.
-Marinette/Danny is secretly related to one of the batfam
-Marinette/Danny escaping to Gotham to get away from Bad Situation
-My least favorite thing some fics have in common, (bc I find it unsettling and offputting) is that they have blue eyes and black hair so they're adoption bait for Bruce.
-a fun one (it's pushing it a little but whatever) is when it's revealed that to some degree the batfam is already a part of or connected to the other group in a non-familial way (ex: Alfred was Miraculous holder in the past, Jason is a halfa/revenant bc he died) . Although you could argue Jason being a halfa could also align with the tropes of training and bringing them into the group ala giving members of the batfam Miraculous.
-Mad at the Justice League for not intervening/ glad the Justice League isn't involved bc mind controlled super heroes would be bad
I'd love to hear what yalls favorite tropes in these are, as well as any parallels yall have picked up on.
Ships:
Marinette is, by a pretty wide margin, largely shipped with Damian Wayne (2024), with the next highest, Jason Todd, being way lower (850).
Meanwhile, Danny's biggest ship is with Jason Todd (604) with Tim Drake at second (399).
The 2 fandoms have a similar number of crossover batman fics (5935 vs 5400) so it looks to me like there is less shipping involved with the DPxDC fandom, but I don't want to do more statistics than I already have (maybe later?) so I'm not gonna say anything definitive for now.
I'm very intrigued by the difference in preferred batboy (???) and the difference in shipping content (maybe something to do with how often DPxDC like to de age/mentally destroy Danny ???)
Now it is time for the statistics!
So... Miraculous Ladybug is THE biggest non DC crossover the Batman tag has on AO3 (5935), but Danny Phantom is not far behind (5400). The third, White Collar, is not even close (1792). Batman is the most popular crossover in the ML and DP fandoms as well.
Of all the Batman crossovers, ML makes up 26.8% and DP makes up 24.43%. You might think that means that combined, ML and DP represent a little over half of all batman crossovers... and you would be right.
Even when you entirely remove the 91 crossover fics that include all 3 fandoms, they still make up 50.88% of the crossovers in the Batman tag!
At first glance, because they have more fics, it may appear like the ML fandom is just as, if not more, crazy about Batman than the DP fandom. But the the ML fandom is waaaay bigger.
Batman crossovers make up 7.82% of the ML fics on AO3.
DPxDC is on a whole other level with a whopping 22.6%. That's over 1/5. No wonder the crossover feels like it's everywhere! /neutral
Here's the table I used for most of the stats:
Tumblr media
A couple notes:
-First, this data was collected late 03/24/25 so it may not be as accurate later.
-Second, the two boxes with asterisks have 2 numbers. The first is the number of crossovers with the fandom based on the Batman tag, the second is based on the crossovers with Batman in fandom's tag (ie, Miraculous Ladybug). I'm not sure why there was a discrepancy there. For my calculations I went with the numbers in the Batman tag, but I wanted to include both numbers in the table to be thorough.
Box D5 and D6 = what percent of the fandom are batman crossovers
Row 9 = what percent of all batman fics are crossovers with that fandom
Row 10 = what percent of batman crossovers are with that fandom.

When there's something strange in the neighborhood, who you gonna call? Probably not John Constantine...?
I'm still pretty new to these DPxDC spaces, but as I've been exploring it from the perspective of someone currently deep in the throes of DC hyperfixation (and Danny Phantom being a past hyperfixation that I sometimes relapse into) one trend that I find kinda odd (but not necessarily unexpected) is just how prevalent Constantine is in these spaces that are largely dominated by BatFamily AUs and headcanons. Like, I do get it (kind of). Constantine does occasionally show up in Batman stories where Bruce encounters something supernatural and needs consulting on the case, and Constantine definitely appeals to the fandom audience in some pretty clear ways. Yeah, he's a handsome, charming bastard with a secret heart of gold. He's British, witty, cool, and an asshole. He may be one hell of a messy bisexual disaster, but he's OUR messy bisexual disaster, dammit! So we forgive him for being a cynical jerkass sometimes. I haven't consumed much media with him in it, but like... I get it and why out of all the mystical characters that DC has in their roster, why you might choose to include him over other characters. However I do find it kinda odd because like... Constantine is NOT the kind of person that I would see Batman nor anyone in his family particularly going for when they need help when something supernatural comes up... In fact the biggest reason that I haven't seen much from Constantine is that... He just does not appear in a lot of media that Batman is in! So I haven't seen much of him! (In terms of media that I've consumed for the sake of Batman being in it, he's only appeared in Justice League Action. No other animated series for Batman. And he hasn't really been in any recent comics that cross over with Batman that have caught my eye! He didn't even have a story in Knight Terrors!)
Of course there's no shame in using Constantine for your stories. He's popular for a reason, and if he happened to be in the area, then sure, the Bats might grab him to help them with their latest case. But for magic-users that the BatFamily might go to for assistance, he isn't always going to be the best choice. So for anyone who needs a magic-user in their BatPhanfiction, here are a few alternate suggestions.
(Suggestions under the cut for length)
Jason Blood
Tumblr media
For people with magical expertise, I would expect the Bat Family to call Jason Blood before anyone else. Jason is old. How old? Old as balls. He's actually been around since the time of Arthurian legend. Apparently he was a scribe for Merlin before being bound to the immortal demon Etrigan which made him immortal too. Having worked for Merlin himself, having some level of innate magic from being bound and therefore sharing a body with a demon, and having been around for hundreds of years, this means that Jason has had plenty of ability and time to learn and practice magic and to perfect his craft. He knows his stuff and has a level of experience that is practically unparalleled on Earth. He's not a man to be trifled with and Batman has worked with him on many an occasion! The biggest reason that the BatFamily would call on him before anyone else? Location, location, location. Jason actually lives in Gotham City, so not only does he have the requisite experience and knowledge, but he's also easy for the BatFamily to get ahold of too! And as a bonus, with a simple rhyme, he can turn into the demon Etrigan who can kick ass on his behalf! Jason may seem to be a bit grumpy and stern on the outside, but he's a reliable ally to have and desires to protect others just as much as Bruce does.
Zatanna Zatara
Tumblr media
Zatanna is a stage magician by trade, a master of tricks, illusion, and slight of hand... But she also happens to be among the most powerful actual magic-users in the known DC universe! Honestly, if you know of her and still choose to use Constantine over her in a story when either will do? You're doing yourself a bit of a disservice. Just look at her! She's gorgeous, radiant, optimistic, always has a fun trick up her sleeve, knows how to have a good time, and unlike Constantine, doesn't have the kinds nor number of enemies that he does! And best of all? She's actually buddies with Bruce Wayne! They're good friends! In fact, Bruce trained under her father for a time to learn escape artistry! Honestly it's a bit of a shame that people forget how good of friends they are... They might have dated in the past? But ever since Bruce mastered escape artistry, they've kept in touch! The two honestly would have an unspoken trust with each other and ability to rely on each other that few other characters could have with Bruce. Zatanna is usually on the road performing, but if she's available, she'd likely be more than happy to pop on over to Gotham to help Brucie out with a case! Superman may be Batman's best friend, and Harvey Dent may be Bruce Wayne's best friend... But honestly Zatanna Zatara is a close second place on both accounts! She's GREAT! I crave for her to be included in more stories! WHERE ARE MY AUNTIE ZATANNA AUs!???
Xanthe Zhou
Tumblr media
Honestly this is a personal suggestion that I want to see because it's just a damn shame that it doesn't already!
Are you hesitant to use a comic character with a huge backlog of stories that you couldn't possibly hope to get through for fear of messing them up? Do you want to use a canonically LGBT character? Do you want to use a character that's a person of color? What about a character that specializes in interacting with the spirits of the dead for your Danny Phantom crossover fics? Because boy howdy do I have you covered! Say hello to Xanthe Zhou! A nonbinary Chinese-American spirit envoy within the DC universe who first debuted in March of last year (2023)! So guess what! There is no long, confusing continuity to follow! If you want to catch up on all you need to know about them, go ahead and read their 6 issue miniseries Spirit World and you should be covered! And heeeey~ Guess who else is in Spirit World~~~?? One Cassandra Cain and one John Constantine! Plus the art is drop-dead gorgeous!
Tumblr media
So please! I beseech you! Check out Spirit World and get to know Xanthe! They are literally everything you are looking for in a character to add to your Danny Phantom and Batman crossover story and are brand-spanking new and it is just a DAMN shame that they aren't already in any DPxDC stories!!! And guess what! They live in Gotham City to boot! (Gotham's Chinatown to be specific.) So please! Do yourself a favor and check out Spirit World and add Xanthe to your stories! If nothing else, I'll certainly read them!
In any case, that's the list and all I can come up with for now! If you have any further suggestions, please don't be afraid to add them on in a reblog! My comics knowledge is very limited and am always happy to hear about other ideas and characters that I've missed! I've actually seen some usage of Klarion the Witch Boy in this phandom which was a pleasant surprise! But sadly, I don't know nearly enough about him to actually say anything about him. But please! Go ahead and tell me about other magic using characters that you think would be suited to the DPxDC universe! And if you make anything of this sort with Xanthe in it... Please send it to me! I want that shit pumped directly into my veins!!!
P.S. I just wanted to say... Batman miiiiight call Santa Claus before he calls Constantine for help on an investigation lol (apparently Bruce apprenticed under Santa for a time :p ).

I love the DC x dp fandom so I got a few ideas of my own. Now be aware I know barely past general knowledge about batman or all of his kids except what I get from tiktok and fanfics.
I do like the idea of danny getting together with Jason Todd and him being his fright knight but that is something that would take YEARS to develop I'm talking all the slow burn.
Like I love fast paced romances but this is their entire existence being chained to one another. So it needs a good base not just ooo pretty boy, looks broke must fix. Cus that's not always a story that ends in eternity. Eventually they would figure eachother out and it can't just be weepy backstories and panic attacks.
I know how I built my long time friendships and the best ones I have were built by pure fucking circumstance. Two people being shoved together and deciding this is it, if I have be nice 90% of the time I'm gonna find someone to be a dick with.
And that's how I think danny and jason would be.
Phantom helping train young heros not just helping the Justice Leage but any young hero who needs help get dragged into a JL meeting and him and red hood would probably start making sarcastic moments to themselves only to laugh at the other joke and it's a slow friendship. Sarcastic comments and jokes that lead to working with eachother. then visiting eachother in passing on patrols. then asking eachother for help directly. Jason is still alive he's a revenant of dead kid yeah but he's not a halfa and jason would still deserve to live that life he just has a friend who happens to be dead.
Many years pass. Danny is fully the ghost king and has to choose his own fright knight and he finally has the courage to ask Jason one day. Except Jason fully misinterpretes this to be danny asking him to marry him and getts very confused cus he's like we haven't even dated and probably responded with a " I gotta ask my family first. " And just books it out of wherever they are.
Danny not understanding the foot he just accidently swallowed thinks nothing of it and decides that makes sense his good friend red hood would need to talk with his family before accepting his afterlife to be a knight in the ghostzone. Family is very important.

Danny Fenton’s Field Trip to the Ghost Zone!
I have had the wonderful opportunity to write a fic inspired by the art of the wonderful @arisu-artnfics as part of @ecto-implosion. I ended up thinking it would be fun to bring in a trope from a completely different fandom, and write a Peter Parker Field Trip fic for Danny Fenton. Enjoy!
Chapter 3: The Field Trip
Ao3 | First | Previous | Next
Dash Baxter hadn’t expected that his class field trip would end up like this. He had been expecting a boring day at the planetarium, but instead they had found themselves in the Ghost Zone!
A lot of things had happened all at once. First they had fallen through a portal and landed in the Ghost Zone. Then their bus driver had abandoned them to dive through the portal as it closed, trapping them all behind him. And then, while the rest of the group was grappling with the fact that they had somehow ended up in another dimension, Fenton and his friends had gone and recruited a ghost to fly them home, somehow!
Honestly, Dash could deal with all of that. It was a lot, but he was an Amity Parker, born and raised! What was weirding him out was how relaxed the nerds were about all of this!
Dash wanted it on the record that he wasn’t scared (definitely not). He was just a little nervous, okay? Don’t judge him! They were in the Ghost Zone! How could he not be at least a little nervous? This is where the ghosts lived! Everyone should be nervous!
Not the nerds though. They only seemed to be mildly annoyed by the fact they were stuck in the afterlife another dimension. He could understand Manson and Valerie, they were both pretty scary themselves. He could even sort of understand Foley, but Fenton was infamous for hiding from even the most tame ghosts, disappearing to some hidey-hole until Phantom took care of them. Heck, he even abandoned his friends a lot of the time, leaving them to be saved by Phantom. So why the heck was Fenton so chill now that they were literally flying through the Ghost Zone?
Dash wasn’t gonna be stuck wondering for long, Mr. Lancer had the same question. “Mr. Fenton, How are you so calm!”
Danny stared at him. “Mr. Lancer, the portal to the Zone is in my parents lab. Did you really think that me and my friends wouldn’t have tried going through?”
Mr. Lancer spluttered at Fenton’s dry response. “I had assumed that your parents at least had enough lab safety in place that you wouldn’t have succeeded!”
Dash may have been a jock, but he wasn’t stupid okay. He had seen enough movies to tell the difference between a laugh and a cackle, and the way that Fenton’s laughter threw his head back and shook his whole body was absolutely a mad scientist’s cackle. The sound almost scared him more than the fact they were stuck in the Ghost Zone.
“Mr. Lancer, we’re Fentons. If my parents go too long without blowing something up, me and Jazz will do something ourselves just to make sure it’s not too quiet.”
Fenton’s friends were nodding along. “Yeah, the first time Danny slept over at my house it was too quiet for him to fall asleep. So he went down to the kitchen, modified the toaster oven to reach 3000°, and poured molten salt into the bathtub. Gave my parent’s a heart attack.”
Lancer’s eye twitched. “How old were you when you did this?”
Fenton shrugged. “Like six I think? I’m not sure. I did learn to get permission first after that though.”
Dash and Paulina shared a look. Holy shit, Fenton was a mad scientist. Like, it was common knowledge that the Fenton parents were, but apparently they had all missed the fact that Danny Fenton was just as crazy as them.
They both jumped when a mechanical hand popped out from a panel in the ceiling and the voice of their ghostly driver echoed through the speakers. “That's science, baby!”
Fenton gave the mechanical hand a high five and chuckled. “Well I didn’t write it down, but I did learn something, so it probably still counts.”
Manson laughed. “Hypothesis, everyone likes explosions before bed. Conclusion, hypothesis incorrect.”
The nerds (and Technus) laughed while the rest of the bus stared at them. Dash didn’t know whether to be terrified of them or just glad that they were still nerds. Then Fenton made eye contact with him and grinned. Definitely terrified of them.
“Well, in the meantime, we have reached our first stop!” Technus said, as the bus made a bumpy landing.
Fenton frowned. “Wait what? Why are we stopping? I thought we were headed to the Far Frozen?”
“That’s the destination, but, since your parent’s shut down the portal, things in the Zone have been shifting around even more than they usually do. So we will have to go from stop to stop and get directions as we travel,” the ghost replied.
“So where have we stopped now?” Valerie asked.
“Jonny and Kitty’s place!”
Fenton looked out the window. “Oh yeah I recognize it! There’s their track.”
“Go see if they know where Dora’s castle is right now. That should be in the right direction.”
“Yeah alright, I’ll go ask,” Fenton said.
The rest of the class pressed their faces to the windows and watched as he walked out of the bus and over to the dirt track. He held his hands to his mouth and yelled.
“Kitty! Johnny! You here?”
There was a moment of silence, and it seemed like there wasn’t gonna be a reply. Then there was the sound of a revving motorcycle. It appeared from behind one of the embankments, with two people riding it. They rode towards Fenton, not slowing down as they got closer and closer.
Fenton just stood there, not even moving as they barreled straight towards him. Dash glanced over at the nerds to see their reaction, only to see them all looking entirely uninterested. Foley wasn’t even watching, messing with his PDA instead. Dash looked back out the window as his other classmates gasped. Just as they thought that Fenton was gonna get turned into a pavement smear the bikers slid into a skid, kcking up enough dust to temporarily block Fenton and the bike from view.
Dash and his classmates watched as the dust cleared, wondering if Fenton had just gotten run over, but when the dust cleared Fenton hadn’t moved an inch. The bike on the other hand, had stopped barely an inch in front of him.
The couple on the bike and Fenton stared each other down.
“Boo! 3/10 try harder next time.”
Dash flinched at the loud voice next to him. He turned to see Manson giving a thumbs down and heckling the ghosts outside. The guy rolled his eyes and the girl in the red jacket blew a sarcastic kiss towards her. Manson laughed and her friends rolled their eyes. The rest of the class was just staring at her, baffled.
With Manson seeming to have broken the staring contest, Fenton and the two ghosts relaxed and started talking, but whatever they were saying was too quiet for Dash to hear. They seemed to argue for a bit, before Fenton shrugged and randomly tackled the guy off his motorcycle.
The class watched in shock as they tussled in the dirt. The other ghost hopped off the motorcycle and went to join them, but Valerie cackled and jumped out the window of the bus. Lancer tried to reach out and grab her but Manson and Tucker blocked him. Not that it mattered, she was already out the window by the time he’d moved.
“Not on my watch Kitty!” Valerie yelled as she tackled the second ghost from behind.
Manson and Foley cheered as the four wrestled in the dirt.
Fenton managed to pin the ghost he was fighting quickly and he tapped out. The two then sat and watched as the others wrestled. It wasn’t long before Valerie also managed a pin, and they all helped each other up. They brushed their clothes off and shook hands, speaking for a moment more before Valerie and Fenton walked back to the bus.
“Okay, Johnny said that Dora’s is about 10° up with a 30° azimuth.” Danny said as he and Valerie climbed back into the bus.
“Alright!” Technus yelled. “Next stop, Dora's Castle!”
Dash fell back into his seat as the bus jumped and they were once again flying through the ghost zone.
For a long moment all the students just sat there, but eventually Paulina broke the silence with the question everyone was wondering. “What was that?” she screeched.
Fenton just looked at her in confusion. “What was what?”
“What do you mean ‘what was what?’ The fighting and stuff! You went from a perfectly civil conversation to fighting in the dirt! Valerie jumped out the window!”
“Oh that! Well Johnny said he wouldn’t tell me unless I fought him. So I did.”
Paulina spluttered at his relaxed statement before turning to their other classmate.
Their classmate who had literally jumped out a window less than ten seconds ago just shrugged. “I wasn’t about to turn down a fight.” Valerie said.
“Why?” Paulina cried.
Valerie just shrugged again. “It’s fun.”
Dash... had no idea how to respond to that. Apparently, neither did Paulina, because she just slumped into her chair.
Dash had no idea how to react to everything he was learning about Fenton and his friends today.

A DC X DP IDEA #21
A PENNY FOR MY AND YOUR THOUGHTS #1…
The Justice League tries to understand the intricacies of the Ghost Zone and ghostly physics. Batman, in particular, attempts to apply logic to the supernatural world, leading to some hilarious debates with Danny who in return explains to Batman how his family’s and his version of physics breaks all logic.
You know this idea kind of came up to me, I’ve had my share of DC X DP crossovers of stories over the past year, and let me. Now that I’m talking out loud I found this hilarious cause tell you this opinion of mine was in the back of my head ever since
Logic is always present in the DC franchise whether it is their machines or some great evil weapons there is always some sort of explanation that uses science-defined words that can be translated into comic science. From magicians as well to magic shenanigans there is always some sort of logic behind each interaction. Batman uses full time to counter-act everything, and I mean everything in case they turn to the other side.
And there is DP…
I mean in all logic there is an absolute quack. The Fenton’s way a lipstick can be turned into some sort of laser gun against a ghost, okay two questions first how did they manage to cram the function to fire away a small yet precise blast towards the intended direction and second how did they even modify an everyday looking lipstick into that. The Fenton creep stick is just a baseball bat with a green sticker yet for some reason works on ghosts. Let’s not forget that the two eccentric ghost hunters have designed and built many of the ghost-hunting devices, often using household objects or repurposed machinery. I mean I saw the YouTube vids about how to build a bomb or even how to make your weapon made out of everyday machinery yet there are still machine parts that cannot be found in everyday appliances to ensure a functioning and safe weapon.
Let’s not also forget about the ectoplasm, the show repeatedly stated that ectoplasm is radioactive, sure there are the mutated dinners as well as some other stuff but the fact that it did’nt affect the other two children of the Fenton’s due to prolonged exposure of ectoplasm beneath there own home amazes me. I mean look at our everyday powerplant there is a huge distance between a power plant to civilization to avoid future problems, heck we are exposed to light radiation everyday. Doctors advise us to stay away from radiation or lessen our time spent with everyday radiation. Sure there are some fan fics about how the entire population of Amity Park is somehow contaminated and gained some sort of ghost ability like extra strength and glowing eyes but majority of them, Danny was the only one seeing that he had an entire dimension fall on him when he opened the portal.
Now mash the two fandoms together and you’ll see my mental image of Batman and Phantom debating the logic behind DP logics despite having the same two fandoms living in the same universe, while the rest of the League watches in great focus as they have never seen Batman so worked up before as well on how their new League member create such highly functioning weapons.
I mean if I saw someone create a staff turned into some sort of double-bladed lightsaber from household items, I would also question my sanity as well as my knowledge.
Just a thought of mine….don't mind me 😕😕😕

DP x Batman x DCU Story Plot
(Long Rant)
Okay, I have another story idea in my head that I need to rant about. To anyone who reads this, just know that my knowledge about these fandoms came directly from fanfiction. Well, I have some knowledge of Danny Phantom's fandom, only watched like three or four episodes in the past. Do I know anything canon, absolutely not, but like that saying 'This is my headcanon'. Okay, I'm getting off-topic, I'm just gonna start and who knows maybe I'll one day write a fanfic based on these ideas of mine.
Okay, hopefully, my ranting makes sense, (excuse the grammar mistakes) but anyway, the idea in my mind starts with basically the ghost portal and the situation with Danny happening, and the whole ghosts coming out and Danny stopping them like the show basically. Okay, but one day the G.I.W. comes to Amity Park, and initially they are useless like in the show. However, within time they became competent, (I don't like them but, they are relevant to the plot) The Fentons, Jack, and Maddie become like lead scientists since they are obsessed with their work and the G.I.W. found their weapons vitals. (They aren't good parents to Danny and Jazz; I don't like how obsessed they are with their work that they basically are emotionally neglectful to Danny and Jazz [I know it's a show]) Anyways, the Fentons and the G.I.W. start to learn and discover that due to the portal that opened to the Infinite Relams, the ectoplasm had affected the citizens of Amity Park. Since they basically lived between the line of the living and the dead. This caused them to experience changes in their biology and in some cases, a number of them started to develop abilities or powers and are called liminals. (Though only those who have the most exposure to ectoplasm develop powers like young adults to babies) Like its more complex, but it's too much work to think more about it at the moment,
Oh, also the Lazarus pits are basically corrupt ectoplasm which is gonna be relevant to the plot. Since the G.I.W. learned about the possibility that ectoplasm can extend lifespans, the G.I.W. decided to use this to profit off. Basically, by creating the Anti-Ecto Acts and the biased sources about the ghosts and the Infinite Realms, they made anyone with ectoplasm in their system be considered non-being. (I haven't thought more about it, but basically, just excuses to justify experimenting on ghosts and Amity parkers.)
With this in mind, the G.I.W. decides to wipe Amity Park off the map and take all of Amity citizens whether dead or alive along with the ghosts that were residing in Amity Park as experimentation subjects. Oh, and the Amity citizens in the past tried to contact the Justice League, but they never got an answer, unknown to them that the reason was that the G.I.W. was basically causing a media blackout to prevent any outsiders from knowing what was happening. (A lot of Amity Parkers don't really have a lot of trust in the heroes, which is pretty understandable because of their experience.)
Amity Park basically gets wiped off the map and many of the people of Amity Park tried to fight back, but it was to no avail as a number of them basically got killed and those alive were taken as test subjects.
Oh, I forgot during this time Danny is the Ghost King but like technically not, honestly haven't thought about it more. Or like he's just a prince or maybe just normal Danny. (I haven't thought of the small details like this)
Anyways, back to the plot, months pass or like a year or two, don't know, but several Amity Parkers and some ghosts managed to escape during the G.I.W. attack and some of them were previously held in faculties by the G.I.W. but were rescued. Okay, so they are basically in hiding because they have really bad trust issues in trusting regular humans. (Which is reasonable, since the last time they trusted regular humans, it ended with them now being hunted by the G.I.W. and the government.) So, now they are struggling to survive and want to rescue the rest of their friends and families. So, basically, tensions are high among themselves.
(Also, I have this idea that Amity Parkers are decent fighters, not to the level of experienced heroes, but they can still put up a fight. Especially since ectoplasm grants them like super strength and their fingernails can turn into claws. Also, the young ones have developed like powers. They can also heal much faster. I don't know if this is canon in the show or fanon, but like the ghosts, they also started to share the culture of fighting against each other, but in a friendly sparring way.)
Also, during this time, the Justice League was getting reports of green-deformed monsters attacking different cities. This causes worries among the heroes since many of their attacks do no damage to them. (Batman gonna be up nonstop trying to do research on them) The only heroes that could really stop them were the Dark Justice members. So, anyway, the Justice League realized that they have a potential earth crisis and are trying to figure out why it's happening. (I don't fully have a full explanation for the reason, could be the Ancients or Observers in Infinite Realms sending them because of what the G.I.W. is doing. Or the G.I.W. is causing instability between the Infinite Realms and Earth due to their experiments on ectoplasm.)
So, while the heroes are trying to figure it out, back to the Amity citizens, a number of them are currently hiding in Gotham. Given that Gotham has ectoplasm even if it's slightly different. (ectoplasm lore?) Also, Lady Gotham offers them refuge in her city. And as fuck up Gotham is, Amity Park citizens are much pretty unfazed by the city since they lived in Amity Park.
Anyways, Tucker is currently living in Gotham with Sam and Wes after escaping from one of the G.I.W. facilities. The boy is traumatized due to the fuck up experiments he went through. But, he's determined to rescue not only Danny, Jazz, Elle, and Dan (I know, he's supposed to be like Danny's evil clone or something along the line, but the kid gonna get redemption, though he de-aged to a three-year-old. Well, the scenario in my head is that they all sort of de-aged, Danny and Elle are like seven and Jazz is like eleven) He also wants to save the others who are still being held as prisoners.
I haven't thought more plotwise, but I have been thinking of different scenarios. So, basically, Tucker gets told that he needs to get close to Tim Drake, one of the kids of Bruce Wayne in order to get access to some blueprint or machination or something in one of their offices or factories that would help them in rescuing the others. (Don't fully know science logic) He does so with the target in mind, but he doesn't expect to fall in love with Tim. My mind wants some romance, and I find the ship kind of cute, they probably enjoy each other company. Anyways, Tucker is now fighting against his feelings and his loyalty to the group, which wants to settle the score against G.I.W and the government.
Also, I have to concept that most of the Batfam are fully ecto contaminated with ectoplasm in their body, which is different from other Gothamites, who only have the scent of ectoplasm. So, like Tucker is literally fighting the urge to question how the hell Tim has ectoplasm in his system especially since it feels like corrupted. And especially after he met briefly with Jason, Tucker probably questioned how the fuck did Tim's brother exactly died and if they know what ectoplasm is, and if he should tell them that they are technically considered non-beings according to the laws. I also have scenarios of Batfamily moments, they have their traumas, but they love each other and are protective of each other. (My family is dysfunctional as it is, whether it fanon the Batfamily truly love each other even if they have their moments.)
Another concept I have is related to Wes, (I know that boy is like a cameo for like one episode or whatever) He's part of the Phantom group, and his experience in one of the G.I.W. bases was the worst. He went through some experiments with Lazarus' water, which basically affected his body like Jason, and now he had to experience Pit Madness. He sort of dies during these experiments and the G.I.W. scientists use Lazarus's water to see the effects or something along the lines. Especially since Ra al Ghul is one of their sponsors, since he's obsessed with immortality so, he is willing to do anything to achieve it.
For now, this is sort of the rough beginning my brain has for this story idea. Maybe I'll make a part two if my brain decides to incorporate more ideas.
