Hello, Smiling Friends fans! ✨️

I'm very late to this fandom (as I am with the majority of other things I'm interested in), but I wanted to introduce myself by sharing some reference sheets I've made for Charlie and Pim!

Drawing critters is completely out of my comfort zone, but it's something that I've been having a lot of fun with! I've considered adjusting them a bit more to fit with my art style, but I honestly love their designs as is, so I ended up drawing them close to the original!

I did adjust their palettes a bit in order to fit with either multicolor lineart or solid black lineart! It's not really something I do often, but for Smiling Friends, I felt like it was a must-

One concept I've really come to love from the fandom is designing critters based on a specific animal class! I decided to do the same, but to a very minimal degree. With Charlie, I wanted to give him mammalian-like traits. Something that reminds you of a bear or a dog when he gets upset, but still felt human-like, so I decided to give him pronounced canines! For Pim, I wanted to go the amphibian route, so I decided to give his fingers webbing to make them look more like an axolotl's!

I primarily made these reference sheets in order to help me figure out how to draw the characters from a specific angle, but feel free to use these as your own point of reference if you need help as well! ✨️
