The Pon Farr. T'Pring, let him eat you. [Patreon | Commissions]
#Cannibalism as a metaphor for your body being a commodity meant for consumption - to sate someone else's hunger.#T'Pring#Spock#star trek tos#star trek#amok time#pon farr#bea art tag#Stonn being referred to as T'Pring's boytoy etc is funny for jokes but it also trivializes her desire in a way#'She was ready to kill Spock's soulmate to be with her boytoy' instead of 'she wanted to be with the man she loved and her society#does NOT recognize her own desire as valid over the desire of whomever 'owns' her - she is property of a husband.'#Like idk I feel like T'Pring and Stonn feel deeply for one another (in their Vulcan way)#The episode really gives me the impression that T'Pring and Spock feel the same way about their respective partners#'There's no point if they're not here' which is why they both fight to preserve their lives#Anyway this isn't about Stonn it's about the pon farr and its horrors#and also T'Pring haters booooo spiked tomato hot potato#PUBLISHED star trek comics and novels feel the need to 'punish' T'Pring for daring to not choose Spock - fuck entirely off.#'it's the WAY she did it of course she can reject him but she should've-' I would slit Spock's throat if he touched her#People suddenly can't understand potential assault if the potential preparator is handsome or a character they like#Like people who ship B'Elanna and Vorik as if Blood Fever isn't just Vorik trying to assault B'Elanna#I obviously don't think that Vulcans in pon farr are in the right state of mind but to ignore the implications completely doesn't#sit right with me especially in 'Blood Fever' when B'Elanna is SO vocal about not being ok with his ''persistence''#with T'Pring she's embroiled in the culture - born and raised - so of course she's going to appear more indifferent but she clearly doesn't#want to be with Spock and if he took her he WAS going to have sex with her and it'd be his ''RIGHT'' to#Horrifying!!!! But no - T'Pring's so coldhearted and B'Elanna's so mean. Why couldn't they be nicer???#people will see a man eating a woman alive and be like wow imagine how the man feels about this#also the poem can be read in a floating order...it's not a hard fast shape#also also explanation for the ultrasound: their mating creates more beasts and sacrifices#//gore#& to be clear Spock IS a good person (we see what he's like outside the ponfarr) I just drew this T'Prings pov (doesn't know him)
