thinking about magical bonds and hatred

when someone has literal complete control over someone else, does it matter how they feel about it? will it only matter at some ambiguous point in the future when control is lifted? does it matter the whole time, but only if we the viewers can see it?

someone’s interpretation of skeletons in their fantasy world that i read about a while back went as such: they have minds, and hate you for making you serve them. they cannot take any actions you don’t command them to (and thus cannot express this hatred), but will show their hatred for you by staring at you when idle, by standing too close to you when you sleep. do we, the viewers, get anything out of knowing that hatred is there? does whoever’s controlling them? do they?
