Bird of Paradise, Polyp, Victorian Flower Urn, Cantankerous Bowel Fish and You Had Me at What's Up Painting Converted From The Sims 2 Console for The Sims 2, Sims 3 and The Sims 4

I did this with Strangetown, so here's some conversions from Pleasantview! These objects can be seen in The Sims 2 console locations; Bio Dome, Rockwell Acres, HMS Amore, Andromeda Arms, Jugen House and the Newbie's household. All but both plants were done live on my twitch. I am using the Xbox textures, but I noticed there was a color difference between games for both plants. I checked out the PS2 texture and wow... the quality is night and day lol. There's a comparison photo of the Victorian Flower Urn in each game above if you're curious. I also sized down both plants compared to the original. Info below the cut. Please let me know if there’s any issues!

The HC will clean up messy memories, fix IDs incorrectly associated to other sims, and recover missing tombstones and urns. Always have no-unlink on deleted in your download folder for avoid unlinked character data and use the Urnstone Spawner for respawn manually the tombstones if the HC fail to recover them.

Paraiso En Las Rocas (If I can, I would also recommend to download the empty version (or populated, if you don't mind mixing up premades and OCs) of Paraiso En El Mar, because I think they complement each other. PEEM has so many gorgeous community lots! You can use PEEM as Main and PELR as subhood or do the opposite. Personally I would fill the empty version of PEEM with the DV, RVH and BC premades (or just choose some of them) since PELR has all the PV, ST and VV premades + one from BWV)

Been sorting out my Sims 2 hood pairings:

🌳 Pleasantview (PV) – using @strangetomato's PV with a twist, paired with Sim State University (SSU), Downtown (DT), and Bluewater Village (BV).

🛸 Strangetown (ST) – @chrisnewbie's PSP version, linked with La Fiesta Tech (LFT), Viper Canyon (VC), and Desiderata Valley (DV) using @katatty's DV makeover.

🎭 Veronaville (VV) – paired with Academie Le Tour (ALT), Belladonna Cove (BC), and Riverblossom Hills (RH) with @katatty's RH makeover.

All hoods include all vacation destinations obviously. I also plan to use @katatty's DT and uni hood makeovers in the future.

Thank you so much for including the link! Thankfully, I can barely save a bit of face by letting you know that the file you're looking for: Early_Strangetown_Hood.rar, had been archived by wayback here and I will re-uploaded it to my sfs folder. Unfortunately, this is the earliest update and does not contain the "07.22" and "04.23" edits (see below), so if anyone has the latest version of this hood, please re-upload!

*Edit 04.23*: I’ve made some corrections to the hood including, giving jobs (some Sims had the memory of the job, but were unemployed) , fixing grades, and gender preferences! Also fixed some text that was misspelled lol! ( and giving bios to the sims that I forgot to give oops! ) - *Edit 07.22*: Now I updated the download link! Because this new file doesn’t have any stealth hoods attached, because I’m making a sub-hood version of Early Strangetown as a shopping district, I’m just keeping you updated cause If you don’t have clean stealth hoods, you will have all of those bin families from the EP’s

Sadly, the subhood version (Early_Strangetown_SUBHOOD.rar) had not been archived. If anyone has that one as well, please share. I think you can turn a hood into a subhood yourself though? But I'm not sure.

The "ALT" links/versions work, but I decided to archive them just in case (sfs subfolder). The difference between the versions are the faces, I believe:

[...] I´ve recreated their faces, which means that the faces are custom. - But I also included a Alt Hood, for the maxis match version of their faces [...]

@gutosimmer's early pleasantview upload is using sfs link so I didn't archive them.

I'm unsure what to do. I have several options when it comes to simming, each with advantages and disadvantages, and I'm stuck trying to choose. 😩Help?

Walden - this one's obvious. My longest-standing (and possibly best-known) hood, with hundreds of pictures worth of posts. On the one hand, it's fun, it's intricate, it's well-established...on the other it's gotten so big and unwieldy, and I feel compelled to tell an ongoing story which often involves extra work on my part rather than just playing. I could drop/downscale the story and just post gameplay pictures but I feel it wouldn't be as interesting anymore. :/

Nekojima - also fun, and smaller, but suffering from similar issues to Walden, since it's very much a story-driven hood, with the additional issue of it not even being my story to begin with.

Some version of Strangetown/Pleasantview/whatever - done to death, can I really bring anything new to the table? I did have an interesting alt-Strangetown going (Strangetown with a Twist) which was fun though.

Here's one more colorful default to share today: a Strangetown-themed afbodyslob that's more slob in a bummy way than in an unhygenic way!

Your slob downtownie will be wearing an old marathon tee with a peeling decal, galaxy sweats, and off brand sporty slipper slides. This only replaces the texture of the original maxis mesh, so it should be compatible with other mesh only defaults.

Credits: -The texture is an original by me, but my drawing/design was inspired by Lisa Frank's aliens design. -Maxis for the mesh.

Veronaville/Académie Le Tour Makeovers

I'm finally sharing my Veronaville/ALT stuff! Hi, if you're just finding me I'm Moyo. Here's my primary blog, where you can see my Strangetown/LFT gameplay as well as where my CC and everything else is. But I didn't want Veronaville stuff to be mixed in and be confusing. So here we are. Anyways, ⬇️

Consort, Tybalt, Juliette and Hermia. Yes, I'm keeping Tybalt's mask.

Patrizio, Isabella, Mercutio and Romeo. Idk how Mercutio ended up so adorable.

Oberon, Titania, Puck and Bottom. I did make them fairies and gave them wings after I took this screenshot. I went back and forth whether I liked the wings or not for a long time but decided yes while playing them.

Albany, Goneril, Miranda, Hal, Desdemona and Ariel. I kept Desdemona's facepaint because it's kinda cute.

Cornwall, Regan, and Kent. I've heard a lot of people have Kent be asexual and/or aromantic so I gave him both traits. But his in-game preference is men so that'll be fun.

Antonio, Beatrice and Benedick. Benedick's blue eyes threw me for a loop and I spent far too long looking all over the wiki to see where he got them from.

Max Flexor and Mitch Indie.

Delilah O'Feefe. I've been waiting for a reason to use those glasses for ages.

Roxie Sharpe, Edwin Sharpe and Jonah Powers. I might change Jonah's hair because I've since downloaded one that I might like better idunno.

And then to save myself households to play I've just lumped the bin young adults into one dorm all together so Tom Freshe, Emily Lee, Phineaus Furley, Chaz Whippler, Ellen Frost and Marla Biggs.

At the moment I've played the Veronaville households all for their 1 day of summer. I've not played the ALT households yet. Now to start filling up my queue.

Hi, it's the same anon from yesterday! Enjoying Strangespot so far. Crystal jumping over River dead's body was absolutely unhinged. I couldn't help but remark many unusual deaths and supernatural creatures, are they because of the random event generator or do you have some mods?

Hey anon! For StrangeSpot I was using a random occurrence calculator - I can't remember where I found it and the RandomStuff.exe has no creator name, but you could put various scenarios (including all those unusual deaths) into a wheel and spin away. As for the supernaturals, that might be down to the Alt Strangetown I'm using for StrangeSpot, found here. Many of the premades are supernatural out of the box in that version of Strangetown, which is a fun change :)

Also, thank you for reminding me of this moment when Crystal exposed her personal acceptable body to body of water ratio (which is 1:1 - one dead guy, one small pool).
