DR. RATIO IS GONNA RETRACE PATAVIA’s FOOTSTEPS, AND IN DOING SO HE MIGHT ACTUALLY BE THE KEY TO SAVING AMPHOREUS!!!!
Spoilers for 3.3 + some leaks (I think) ANYWAYS IVE BEEN INSANE ABOUT THIS FOR ~A Whole YEAR~ so yeah I’m making a tumblr post on it (cause even if TikTok users have no attention span, I know some people on here can read at least lmao)
For starters- who the fuck is Patavia?? (The love of my life/hj)
Well, she’s an NPC from the Council of Mundanites (which she helped form) that was alive during the Scholars Strife- which was essentially a fight that almost destroyed the Intellgencia Guild due to his members arguing and even battling eachother over how the remaining Scepters from Rubert II’s empire should be divided up and used.
Now, if you played the Amphoreus quest, you’d know that the game revealed that Amphoreus itself is made by one of these scepters- one that somehow managed to escape detection by the rest of the universe, concealing itself in the fabric of space time.
Tumblr media
Back to Patavia, the situation of the Scholar’s strife eventually leads to her discovery of “solitary waves” aka literal manifestations of Nous’s calculations. By following them throughout the universe, Patavia eventually finds something incredibly important- the heart of the Scepter system.
Inside is the throne which Rubert II crowned himself on, and is also the center of the “brain” of the scepter system- basically the main control panel. Anyways, under the watchful eye of Polka Kakamond (who’s presence Patavia is aware of), she gains the opportunity to use THE WHOLE SCEPTER SYSTEM AT ONCE.
…And potentially to no longer be a Mundanite, and to become a Genius (Rubert III).
However, Patavia doesn’t believe she’s worthy of it, and although I haven’t mentioned it; the Mundanite’s core philosophy is the idea that knowledge should be used to benefit and uplift everyone before being used for selfish purposes (like many scholars in the scholars strife did).
Therefore, instead of asking for something new, Patavia wants to understand Nous’s calculations that they’ve already made (which unknowingly saves her life, as Polka Kakamond tries to kill anyone who pushes the boundaries of the Circle of Knowledge in a way that denies Nous’s calculations + advances the Finality).
Tumblr media
She can’t comprehend it, but she does manage to propose the Solitary Waves theory, which Herta solves + causes her rise as a Genius.
This supposed “failure” is something the IG is so ashamed of, they used the History Fictionologists to cover it up, as they believe it proved that the mundane can never become Geniuses, due to how Patavia couldn’t ascend to becoming one despite the full power of the Scepter
Tumblr media
Ironically, this actually saves her life, as the sense of doubt Polka creates prevents her from killing Patavia in the end since she stays within the circle of knowledge. While doing this, Patavia also fries the system in the process (good for her).
Now this is imperative to Amphoreus, as Polka, famous Rubert killer- would probably not approve of Lygus’s actions and how he’s suspiciously Rubert-ing too close to the sun.
Tumblr media
In fact, that might actually be the reason why Amphoreus is hidden- as Lygus knows if Polka finds him, she’ll most likely kill him.
I think Screwllum and Herta are aware of this, as Polka is a firm believer in the Butterfly Effect, as depicted in the “Kill that Butterfly” curio, where even a small action can change everything (and if it relates to Nous, Polka’s gonna stop it).
Tumblr media
When referring to Amphoreus, Screwllum says this:
Tumblr media
-Meaning it’s probably not long before Polka comes knocking. GET HIS ASS QUEEN. KILL THAT FRAUDDD.
TLDR for this section: Lygus is probably gonna get slimed by Polka, Amphoreus is a Scepter and Patavia is a Mundanite that found the heart of the Scepter system, and “failed” to become a Genius while attempting to understand all the knowledge in the universe for the better of everyone.
So, as you’re probably asking: What the hell does this have to do with Dr. Ratio??
And I’ll answer: a lot actually.
_________________
PART TWO MY DOCTOR IS THE BUS DRIVER.
You probably noticed the me mentioning the Mundanites a lot, and that’s for a very important reason; Dr. Ratio is currently the leader of them RIGHT NOW.
Tumblr media
(Aventurine also calls him the “Genius” of them in the 2.1 quest too hehe)
Meaning, if anyone’s going to be retracing her steps/mirroring her arc- it’s gonna be him, especially since they also share the same philosophy. We’ve gotten the other pieces from the Unknowable Domain like the Scepters + a hint at Polka’s involvement + a mention of the solitary waves theory, so it’s only a matter of time before the last part becomes relevant, especially considering that she’s the means where we learn about a lot of these things.
However, this doesn’t exactly point to Ratio saving everyone, even if I believe he will succeed where Patavia “failed” that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s gonna be the key piece in fixing this shit.
Butttt, the 2.1 Cosmodyssey event (which I’ve been tweaking out about for over a year) suggests otherwise 👀
Tumblr media
This is the first mention of Amphoreus ever.
And as you can probably tell- the character Sparkle is playing of the “Divine Mecha” is 1000% Lygus or whatever his “real” identity is.
He invites the Trailblazer to participate in the “show” of Amphoreus, and saying “yes” is when things get interesting.
Tumblr media
He sends a very Ratio-coded woman to help, and if we “win” we get to destroy Amphoreus.
Therefore, freeing everyone from the simulation, and thus saving them? Also, only be improvising well and being true to ourselves does he let us succeed, which is both a very HSR and a very Ratio thing for him to do.
Now, this raises the question- how the hell does Ratio know Lygus?? Sparkle (Lygus) and Lady Greenday (Ratio) are fellow masked fools and presumably friends or at least coworkers, considering Lady Greenday agrees to help Sparkle out with this.
However, based of off everything we know about Ratio and Patavia, he’d probably want to set that motherfucker on fire the moment he steps on screen.
What happens next will only be apparent as time goes on, however I do feel confident in saying Ratio will play a significant role in helping Amphoreus break away from the simulation, even if he may seem like a villain in the process.
I have a few running ideas for what might happen.
Ratio learns of Amphoreus via Screwllum and checking in on the DU again (since we shoved a bunch of Amphoreus’s data in there) + using the power of the scepter, takes that data and finds a way to make it a real place, perhaps by asking the scepter system (like Patavia once did) something new this time- a question like “how do I fix this?” which may or may not end really bad for him depending on how you interpret the “Destruction” part of this
He’s known Lygus all along- in-fact Lygus might have made up based off the Titankin and then ejected him from Amphoreus like March was, except he remembers and is coming back to fix things. I don’t see a possibility where he is friendly with Lygus, but maybe there’s some mind control/coercion going on, who knows?
He shows up but only as a support for Screwllum and Herta, which I’m fine w but damn it would be boring (at least we might get Screwtio crumbs).
Or, a secret 4th thing which is probably what’s really gonna happen.
Anyways thanks for reading, and let me know what you think. I’ve been losing my mind over this for so long and 3.3 is literally making my delusions come true YEAAHHHHH. I can and will elaborate on this I just wanted to get the basic idea out of the way. Amphoreus will get a happy ending.

i am sleep deprived and utterly insane but 3.4 FRAME-BY-FRAME TRAILER ANALYSIS GO!!
Tumblr media
(spoilers under the cut)
i think i was right about Phainon fighting the flame reaver to the death and becoming him, in a sense - blending his past and future selves to create the form we see in his ultimate.
Tumblr media
the “observations” made by the emanator and likely the aeons, signifying that this is the moment Phainon gains their recognition and ascends to embody destruction. which would also fit with the core theme of that path, giving yourself and everything you once loved away to calamity.
Tumblr media
speaking of - MYDEI!!!!!! MYDEI MENTIONED!!!!!!!!!!!! AT LEAST 1 SECOND OF MYDEI CONTENT IN VERSION 3.4!!!!!!!!! EVERYONE CHEER
Tumblr media Tumblr media
also this parallel completely destroyed me. his face when fighting beside Mydei never changed, even if now it’s only a fond memory. he even turns and looks over his shoulder, as if thinking Mydei would appear behind him in a blaze of glory, like he used to .i’m going to be sick
Tumblr media Tumblr media
these scenes went by really fast but? hey hoyoverse? WHAT IS THIS. i would say the fractured memory cutscene is the trailblazer getting forcibly pushed out of Amphoreus as it collapses, since they are an outlander, but this doesn’t make sense because if so Dan Heng would appear also. and he is fine and nothing happens to him ever (COPING) !!
March 7th and Phainon’s ultimate form are reflected in a few of the mirrors, which could signify that the shattering is more connected to March/Mem/Cyrene and their past rather than the planet as a whole. i am officially not ready for the trailblazer to experience even more horrors
speaking of, and i say this through tears and gritted teeth, i do not believe Dan Heng won the duel w flame reaver. just putting it out there given Stelle’s look of distress and the fact that Phainon gets a turn battling him at the basin.
HE’S GOING TO BE FINE THOUGH BECAUSE EVERYONE ON AMPHOREUS IS GOING TO BE FINE AND NOBODY DIES !!!!!!!! thank you for your time, passes out and dies

EDIT: please check the reblogs, im backtracking on nanook specifically and instead think phainon could be terminus the finality. oki bye <3
okay early amphoreus allows me to be a little insane because the lore isn't overwhelming yet so let's try a semi-crack theory (crack because it's insane, semi because im actually serious about it!)
disclaimer: im still digesting hsr lore so there's probably a shit ton of plotholes in this, but it's kind of funny
phainon is nanook the destruction, and amphoreus is the story of how they ascended to aeonhood
what we know:
there are 3 distinct aeons in/around amphoreus. fuli the remembrance, nous the erudition, and a mysterious 3rd one. i don't have the specific screenshots but this is an almost direct quote from black swan (although this is her own speculation- welt's being "three entities comparable to emanators").
the heroes have golden blood, a wink to greek deities' ichor but also possibly a reference to nanook themself, as they're the only aeon with gold blood.
nanook's home planet was destroyed, and amphoreus is visibly on the brink of destruction as well. it is worth noting that nanook's ascension may have caused said destruction of their home planet.
kevin kaslana, of whom phainon is an expy, has a similar storyline of starting off as a hero and ending up as a "villain".
finally, in the amphoreus trailer, when phainon oils himself up (erm), the scars that appear kind of resemble nanook's ones
Tumblr media Tumblr media
amphoreus itself seems to be a memory preserved by fuli the remembrance; my theory is that it's one of nanook's memory.
ill add that phaenon, in greek mythology, was a human turned into a god. he was created by prometheus, and was so beautiful that prometheus tried to not introduce him to zeus; eros, the god of romance and sex (aglaea/mnestia?) snitched on prometheus to zeus, and hermes was sent to phaenon to convince him to become immortal.
so at the very least i believe phainon will ascend aeonhood or emanator level- in hsr so far it points to nanook, but i also believe he could become kephale's replacement. i suspect his coreflame will be that of kephale, in all honesty (everything regarding nodikar is setting him up for failure, i don't think he'll win that trial).
adding less convincing bits (= me reaching a LOT) under the cut because why not. warning this might as well be shitposting but you need to see the vision. thank you and good night
we know that nanook comes from a planet called "adlivun", which is the underworld in inuit mythology. it is described as a frozen wasteland, and nanook in inuit mythology is a polar bear. both kevin and phainon seem to be using ice-related powers in their animations, and phainon is nicknamed snowy by tribbie in the english localisation.
phainon has the same chinese voice actor as caelus, who is tightly linked to nanook.
he also has the same chinese, japanese AND korean voice actor as hakuhatsu ki, the wielder of the edict edge "end" in izumo. end = destruction lol!!! (im sorry). more seriously acheron confirms the overlap between her story with hakuhatsu ki and kevin's story as told by welt. and hakuhatsu ki means white-haired oni in japanese, so...
phainon is presumed to be on the destruction path :). i warned you that this category is me reaching a lot
kafka has told the TB that they'll eventually face nanook, and that it's when destiny ends. coincidentally, fuli gazing at the TB led to confusing memories about their shared past with the stellaron hunters.

yk... mydei never called phainon by his name, so... what if, somehow, he knew phainon isn't his real name so he kept going and calling him by the title given to him?
you can try connecting this theory with the 'corrupted file' mydei too of course

I'm asking this everywhere so I'm doing it here too bc I need copium or whatever 💔
Spoilers for Amphoreus (Better safe than sorry)
But since they're all dead or doomed to die on their Coreflame journey, how do you think the Amphoreus story line will end?
Like I don't mean just "Phainon will be the last one standing", since imo, while that is possible, but what happens after that? I have doubts Hoyo would leave it on just that. What comes after that? I've seen some people say that, with the addition of Trailblazer as a new variable in this looping system, that there's gonna be some "semi-good ending". Aka TB will essentially rewrite the history/reset the loop into a better one. Question mark.
Some are also saying Phainon is Nanook, which as far as I know it's just not true. He may be some emanator of destruction, mAYBE, but even that is far fetched for me, as things stand atm anyway.
Anyway, that's been a short ramble, I need copium, I can't see Mydei die and stay dead chat, feed me hopes and dreams idk. (Tell me what you think)

HSR Amphoreus Analysis/Theory — Possible Historical Parallels/References?
First post ig but I've literally been geeking out sm abt this, but keep in mind I've only done about surface-level research and digging so don't expect much, and this is mostly a rant so feel free to point things out.
Okay so for starters the name of the myriad celestia trailer is 'Golden Epic' and 'The saga of heroes' right? im gonna connect that fact later on to why it’s relevant but for now I'll just say it has something to do with Hesoid, which is also very relevant. But also for context and im pretty sure this is the most obvious one in the trailer: Basically the whole beginning is just a flat out retelling of the creation myth in greek mythology — Which historically, is tied to the Dark Ages of Greece (and is very much relevant to the points I'm trying to make, as well the events that go on in the trailer.)
So I'm gonna split the trailer into like a few separate pieces: The opening = Historical dark ages of Greece, then the Archaic Age which eventually leads on to the Golden age, and the Peloponnessian war. Basically the trailer starts us off with the chaos and basically fall of civilization through the retelling of the greek creation myth (which as said before, is historically tied to the dark ages of greece/the decline of the Mycenaean civilization), before eventually following into what is historically considered the archaic age of greece, where civilization then rises back up (and by the eye in the trailer, we could assume perhaps Ena has something to do with it), and then eventually the city starts to flourish, which is possibly a reference to the peak of that time period being a reference to Greece's Golden Age (As mentioned by the 'Golden Age' in the trailer).
But then after the city falls back into destruction and chaos in the trailer and eventually we can assume Nanook played a role in that somewhere, as by the description of 'golden blood'. But also that event in the trailer almost perfectly parallels with the historical timeline of the Peloponnessian war (which btw was also considered highly destructive/a very dramatic end) which happens afterwards the Golden Age of Greece, basically bringing a downfall to the Athens right after an age of flourish.
But also the events aren't only just possibly referenced from the Greeces ancient historical events long before 100 AD, but also possibly from Hesoid, specifically his piece, the 'Works and Days of Hesiod', and specifically the timeline of the "Ages" that occur in his work. That being:
Golden Age:  The first age, when humans lived like gods, free from pain, sorrow, and toil. They lived in peace and harmony, and did not have to work to feed themselves. They lived to very old age, but with a youthful appearance, and eventually died peacefully. (There is also the mention of the titans such as Kronos in this age in greek mythology, and basically humanity living among the gods)
Silver Age: The Silver Age and every age that follows fall within the rule of Cronus's successor and son, Zeus. Men in the Silver Age lived for one hundred years under the dominion of their mothers. They lived only a short time as grown adults, and spent that time in strife with one another. (also its said zeus started causing destruction due to lack of respect to gods, etc)
Bronze Age: Self destruction through the making of weapons mostly, war
Heroic Age: as telling by the name, basically the age of heroes such as odysseus and such
Iron Age: What we may assume the current timeline for amphoreus may possibly be at the moment, and is basically described as the worst and most miserable of all the ages
Now another interesting thing is Hesoid was basically the one to create the term 'Golden Age', and the title, 'Golden Epic' as well as the 'Saga of Heroes' (aka heroic age ref?) can possibly be a reference to that in the trailer, altho it can be a stretch. Whats also interesting and something to note is the fact that Hesoid was alive during the archaic era of ancient greece, and if we start looking at historical timelines the scholar that Anaxa is possibly based off from in the trailer (Anaxagoras) had lived during the Golden Age of ancient greece.
btw i still have not figured nor done much research on the characters introduced but if im able to find the ref on them i may be able to somewhat connect it or find another connection but thats all i've been able to speculate for now💔💔

Hsr Amphoreus prediction (a bit of theory too)
Major 3.1 spoilers below the cut
At the very end of the 3.1 quest, it looks like Castorice is narrating the fact that the trailblazer is going to die on Amphoreus.
Tumblr media
I think we all know that the Trailblazer isn’t actually going to die. At least, the Trailblazer definitely won’t die permanently. I’d like to predict/theorize what is going to happen after their “death”
Summary of my prediction:
I believe the Trailblazer is just going to wake up on the Astral Express. I know it sounds kind of lame, but there’s more. The Trailblazer’s “death” on Amphoreus is going to be exactly what the Nameless needs. The Trailblazer “dying” and reappearing on the Express is a perfect opportunity for them to recon and finally discuss what’s going on in Amphoreus. The whole reason only two members of the nameless left first is because of how unknown the situation was, but with the Trailblazer’s (possible) return they’ll have more information. With new information, Trailblazer returns to Amphoreus with Himeko, Welt, and Sunday. Meanwhile the Herta, Fu Gue, and Black Swan stay behind. My reasoning for those specific characters is because of one scene in the “Nameless Faces” Trailer.
Why I believe the Trailblazer will survive their “death” and how I think they’ll survive:
I have multiple reasons for why I believe the Trailblazer will just wake up on the express after their “death”. The main one being how similar Amphoreus is to Teyvat, but that’s way too much lore to dive into right now. So, I will just summarize why the parallels to Teyvat are important. Basically, a lot of issues that harm or even kill people in Teyvat don’t affect the Traveler because they aren’t connected to the leylines since they’re a descender. A very common theory is that Teyvat and Amphoreus were both locked away from the rest of the world because of them both being “stories.” I will not provide evidence for that theory because there is WAY too much and I do not want that to be the center of this post. Anyways, as “descenders” the Trailblazer and the Traveler can both be seen as “readers” of Teyvat and Amphoreus.
(Although, they themselves don’t see it this way and instead of idly watching what happens, they try to fight and save lives. This is where the whole concept of changing fate comes in, two very reoccurring themes in both Amphoreus and Teyvat. Making them more of writers then readers. Hence the theme of writing in RMC’s kit, and the whole journal thing with Mem. But that’s besides the point)
When reading a story, you should be able to close the book and pick it up later whenever you want. And yet, it is very apparent that neither the Traveler nor the Trailblazer can do that. When the Traveler tried to leave with their twin, they were interrupted by the unknown god. And the Trailblazer is completely unable to contact the Astral Express. But what if they could leave through a way they’d never think to try? (obviously the traveler still wouldn’t leave bc they want to leave alongside their twin.) What if dying in a world they never belonged to—a world that never expected them to enter—is just a way for them to leave said world. Sort of like dying in a dream and waking up. After all, everything we’ve seen about death in Teyvat shows that souls connected to the LeyLines still will live in Teyvat. But when a person dies, wouldn’t you expect their soul to go with them? What I’m saying is that when a person in Teyvat or Amphoreus die, they don’t die in the way someone outside that world would. Their soul stays alive, and this is shown in multiple ways in Teyvat. One being the border (introduced through Hu Tao’s story quest and further explored in 5.3 Lantern Rite), and the Night Kingdom (pretty much half of Natlan’s plot). We also see it in Amphoreus with the river of souls, but we don’t have enough information on it yet to really consider it credential.
Although, the Traveler is completely unaffected by the border and the Night Kingdom. Especially when compared to the way those places affect people connected to the LeyLines.
I believe if the traveler were to be killed by something belonging to Teyvat (A living being born in Teyvat, a toxin born in teyvat, a piece of technology built by Teyvat materials and Teyvat knowledge, gravity belonging to Teyvat’s atmosphere, etc.) while in Teyvat, they will die the same exact way someone from Teyvat would. Except as a descender, the world wouldn’t be able to place their soul in an afterlife. So, their soul would just be pushed out of Teyvat. And then a living soul that isn’t trapped in any form of afterlife, is simply a living soul. It is completely possible that death in Amphoreus works the same way. And if my interpretation of death on Teyvat is even just a little accurate, then it would make complete sense for the Trailblazer’s soul to be pushed out of Amphoreus when they die.
Why I believe the Trailblazer will return to the Astral Express, and why they’ll go back to Amphoreus while bringing Himeko, Welt, and Sunday with them:
How they exactly land back on the Astral Express? I honestly don’t know. The power of friendship guides their soul back or smth lmao. BUT, the reason I believe the Trailblazer will reunite with the nameless is because of a scene from the “Nameless Faces” trailer.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In this scene, Sunday, Welt, Himeko, Dan Heng, and the Trailblazer are all seen in amphoreus together. While I do think this scene can be interpreted as metaphorical (especially because right after this the trailblazer “turns” into Phainon) I think there is also reason to believe this is foreshadowing future events. This is because March 7th isn’t there. If the scene was purely metaphorical, March 7th would’ve been shown. We all know March 7th is currently in a critical condition, but even so she would’ve been there if the scene’s only point was to represent “the nameless trailblazing through Amphoreus.” But I think this scene represents those specific characters journeying through Amphoreus.
And yes I know that at the end of 3.0’s quest, Sunday and Welt were on Herta’s space station. but between then, now, and when the trailblazer goes through their “death,” they would’ve had more than enough time to get back to the express. I also believe Herta would’ve gone with them because she is the emanator of erudition, and she won’t miss an opportunity to learn about a whole ass planet she never heard about.
I do find it hard to believe that practically all of the Nameless would go to Amphoreus because it’d make sense for at least one of them to stay behind to take care of March. BUT, it’s still possible because they’d feel at ease knowing Fu Gue, Black Swan, and Herta would be there.

Everybody else is making them, so I'm writing down my own wild theories for Amphoreus. With an entire year's worth of story updates (yay finally time for the story to actually breath and develop), there will be plenty of time and material to develop this with, so updates will be made as I come up with them.
To me there are two main parts of the story: the first and most important will probably be the gathering of the Core Flames because it's where the most development of the new world (Amphoreus) and characters (Chrysos Heirs) will come from. The second, and what will probably take a more behind-the-scenes approach to the story, is the three Paths that are involved with Amphoreus—we know of the Remembrance and Erudition, but the third is yet to-be-revealed.
We know that Amphoreus is an ancient world that is only accessible via the Remembrance/Garden of Recollection that was never reached by Akivili, so there is no accessible information about it. This is why I am skeptical about the third path being the Destruction, or even any of the other Paths that we know of. If it was a Path we knew well, why be so secretive about it?
Additionally, there is the reason why Amphoreus is in the state it's in now—kept behind the Garden's lock and key. The Garden of Recollection's entire goal is to take stock of memories from across the galaxy, and don't even get me started on Fuli's whole deal with creating an emergency back-up of the entire universe via the Eden of Blessed Insight. But that's usually just taking memories and storing them—hence why we have lightcones—so what about Amphoreus makes it so special? Something had to have happened here to make it worth preserving and protecting like this.
This is basically what I think has happened here: the Garden/Remembrance/possibly Fuli themselves has frozen this time of Amphoreus because of something that happened here. This is why the "planet" appears like it does: as a mobius strip, a single plane that loops in on itself in a continuous fashion, therefore the planet does not rotate and is stuck in it's singular day-night cycle. This is explained by the people as Kephale's everlasting light shining down on them, but in reality this is just...what happens when your planet's material integrity is messed with. This period of time on Amphoreus is constantly looping itself, possibly to replay this significant event to...contain it? Understand it?
I had played around with the idea that Amphoreus may had possibly been Fuli's birthplace, where they had ascended to Aeonhood, and their ascension had destroyed their home and used their powers to preserve it out of...sentimentality? Regret? But now I think maybe the cataclysmic events on Amphoreus may had led to the birth of another Aeon. And unlike Aeons who had fallen or been absorbed in the past when their Paths aligned too closely with another or were simply destroyed, maybe this was an Aeon who, when Amphoreus was in it's prime and the universe was still young, the other Aeons believed the universe simply wasn't ready for. And so they have been contained on Amphoreus for years, constantly on the cusp of understanding what they are just to have it taken away from them again. Remember: people on Amphoreus don't even conceive of an outside world or the Aeons. If an Aeon awakened there, would they even know what they are? How could they?
To me, this would also make sense as to why the Erudition would have taken such an intense interest in Amphoreus. Not only would it provide ample opportunity to study such events, but to study—basically to their heart's content—the environment that led to the birth of Aeon and that Aeon themselves.
But, now that the Express has arrived, there is an unexpected variable on this loop of Amphoreus' events.
However, I would be remiss to ignore Amphoreus' obvious homages to HI3 and it's Flame-Chasers (cough cough play HI3 and definitely play Elysium Everlasting cough cough) and say I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't pull in Oroboros/The Voracity as the third path. Voracity is one of those Paths that's faded (Oroboros vanished during the Swarm Invasion), but there's never been confirmation that the Aeon has died, so it's sort of in a grey area like Idrila. Oroboros is an obvious reference to the ouroboros—the snake consuming it's own tail. And when the Flame-Chasers returned to the present day story in HI3, what was their symbol as World Serpent?

Yeah.

my guts say, the final path in Amphoreus could be Permanence, might sound like a copium moment but I cant help but consider things like how Dan Heng is rumored to have another 5star version, or how Hoyo likes to connect places to Xianzhou somehow (where Viyadharas mostly live). Many speculated the Marshall Hua is Fu Hua but in Elysian Realm wasnt she one of the flamechasers as well? (Not sure, never really played HI) but.. yeah.. might not make a lot of sense but I could see Hoyo pulling this stunt lmao… feel free to share your thoughts 😆

for anybody who is a bit lost with the new myriad celestia trailer i gotchu !!
Tumblr media
(elaborations below the cut)
in a recent special program the developers said they would be touching on aeon and faction lore more heavily in the main story, and this is what we’re seeing now!
Tumblr media
this war of aeons hasn’t just been foretold by one prophecy - since the beginning of the universe, there have been divine forces in preparation for some large-scale calamity that mortals can’t seem to understand yet.
followers of the preservation, namely, try to prepare for this without even knowing what’s going to happen. some pathstriders worship the calamity itself, waiting for all life to end with anticipation. i’m not sure if this event specifically is what they’re talking about here, but it could be.
Tumblr media
I WOULD RECOMMEND TURNING ON SUBTITLES BECAUSE OF THIS. absolutely insane lore drop on hoyo’s part, for a couple reasons: the event of the Erudtion’s fall is going to create a chain reaction all throughout the cosmos.
the trailer has also hinted on how Nous falls, mentioning their “end of yearning.” for those unaware, there are three ways an aeon can be killed: in a war between larger aeons, if they stop believing in the path they represent, and a secret third way we are unaware of.
this likely means Nous loses faith or is assimilated into a different path. which in turn is going to mess up some other paths and factions, namely the Masked Fools.
“the fools flounder in tears after the wise have been burned” - this implies the path of Elation is going to suffer after Erudition’s fall, since their abilities are quite literally designed to break logical thinking. the mentions of tears and mourning makes me think that the Mourning Actors are going to play a part in this.
(context: Mourning Actors, though they follow Elation, act as complete opposites to the Fools and remain constantly solemn to act against Aha’s path of laughter)

Jingliu wants to take advantage of this war between aeons to kill even more aeons. the abundance and the hunt have been at war on the Luofu forever, and she implies that the Xianzhou Alliance has the ability to KILL AN AEON. if either Lan or Yaoshi fell, their endless battles would cease and only one would reign over the planet.
do i think this is the “secret third way”? not particularly. but it is extremely interesting for another reason.
Tumblr media
ARE WE SEEING THIS????? THE XIANZHOU LUOFU HAS NANOOK’S BLOOD. this is important because, in legend, the aeon of destruction’s golden blood is extremely powerful, and if someone were to drink it, they would undergo some sort of “transformation”.
we don’t know what this means exactly, because as far as my knowledge is concerned nobody has done it. i have a speculation that the trailblazer is very connected to this, but am not sure how yet.
Tumblr media
silly mention to the imaginary tree lore :3
also is this implying the fact that some factions believe paths and the imaginary are bad? are people trying to destroy it????? because if so that would be a disaster i think
Tumblr media
ALSO THIS. THIS IS EXTREMELY INTERESTING. they’re referring to Phainon, surely, but Amphoreus is the “end of time”? i had always thought of it being a looped memory of the past, but what if it’s the future?
this has ties to other aeons, namely the finality, who exists at the end of time and whispers prophecies of the end to everyone else. basically every divine force agrees that there is a calamity that will kill every god, and it lives at the end of time.
what if this prophecy isn’t referring to an event, but a person who embodies calamity? if the end of time isn’t anything to do with the silver rail or even the universe, but it’s a place where time has no end? LIKE AMPHOREUS?
Tumblr media
i’m just thinking. the Erudition seems closest to where Phainon is undergoing his trial right. if Lygus really was an emanator of erudition (might’ve missed a page there but that’s what i gathered). if the “end” has something to do with Phainon.
Tumblr media
and we’re gonna have to clean up the cosmos after all of this goes down. sigh
ANYWAYS I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉

you know i talk about how ratio looks and acts like he should be from amphoreus but if he isn't, i genuinely hope he still shows up. like imagine you're a chrysos heir and this dude who looks AND acts like he's from amphoreus shows up randomly and the outlanders now who he is and he knows them? and you come to learn that this dude who fits so perfectly in that you wouldn't even bat an eye if he said he was from amphoreus just. isn't from amphoreus?? it'd be funny to see how the chrysos heirs would react to him, it would genuinely be so funny. this is the only way i'm accepting dr ratio not being from amphoreus
