MS: First, I would like to warn that this rant is meaningless as the series in question "7he Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" ran from 2006-2009

MS: Second, I can't recommend this classic highly enough, so don't bother reading this if you haven't seen it yet. 7here will, of course, be spoilers

MS: That said, the only gripe I've had thus far is the "Endless Eight" arc. Of which, I'm currently watching the fifth episode as I'm typing this

MS: 7his whole rant probably extends beyond this series and more into the "trapped in a time loop" trope (as well as others), but I'll keep it isolated to this series

MS: It's kinda frustrating how inactive the members of the S.O.S Brigade are, considering the circumstances

MS: This, of course, excludes Haruhi herself. My beef is with everyone else!!!!!!!

MS: Okay, Asahina gets a pass since it seems she's the only member to not remember a thing at all

MS: I really don't want to give Nagato a pass for letting things play out for so long. Like, I get it! Your task is to only observe Haruhi and the phenomenon surrounding her, but you've let this loop go on (at the time I'm typing this) 15,521 times. I get you're not meant to directly get involved unless the situation really calls for it, but is this not a problem in which you should be getting involved?? Especially since you're the only member that doesn't lose their memories of every instance happening

MS: 7hen there's Kyon and Koizumi. So, you guys lose your memories, too, and that can't be helped. You experience déjà vu constantly, which you... hold on

MS: I'm now on the sixth episode in the arc

MS: Anyways, you constantly get the feeling of déjà vú, which you shrug off each time. Admittedly, that's normal. However!!

MS: 7he moment each of you, minus Haruhi, get together and realize what's going on, you do nothing! NO7HING!!!!!!!

MS: Like, I dunno, tell Nagato to let you know when the loop starts again as soon as possible? You have from August 17th to 31st to figure out what's missing, and it feels like you aren't really thinking on how to prepare

MS: 7hen, near the end of the loop, when you're all aware it's about to happen again (again, excluding Haruhi), nobody jumps out to change anything.

MS: Koizumi just sits there looking amused by it all

MS: Asahina just sits there looking hopeless

MS: Nagato just sits there

MS: 7hen there's Kyon who musters up just enough strength to stand up at the table, but spends all his time thinking instead of just saying something, ANY7HING, to stop Haruhi from leaving the restaurant

MS: Hell, you guys realize what's going on in the middle of the two week loop, but you only talk about it like two times without really coming up with a plan of action

MS: And the only time Koizumi comes up with something for Kyon to do, it comes off as a joke, and he ends up doing nothing

MS: And the number of times Kyon feels oddly compelled to catch up with Nagato, only to say nothing about the weird feeling he's having is just..... rrjfkekdnnsldlfkdjha
