Alright, the people have spoken (thanks for voting in the poll !!).

I have some free time like I mentioned. So. I can do some requests.

It doesn't have to be Morrowind specifically. If anyone's wondering I've also played Skyrim (can't even count how many times) and Oblivion (though only the main quest). But doesn't have to be just elder scrolls either!! I have a lot of ocs as well so yeah 👉👈 In my intro post I have other games/media I like and am familiar with.

Basically as long as it's within my abilities I'll try to do it! :)

Steve slowly realises way more customers end up actually renting something when he flirts a little with them. So for the sake of making sure he gets the Christmas bonus him and Robin were promised if they hit a certain target, he stops being picky about who he flirts with and starts turning his charm on for literally every adult who walks into the store.

It works surprisingly well. At first he's worried that some of the guys who come in might try to punch him, but he's mastered the art of being subtle with his smiles and compliments. So they mostly just have a pleasant chat with him and leave feeling conflicting emotions and carrying a movie they hadn't planned to rent, but somehow felt compelled to. When Steve and Robin get good feedback from the manager for their consistently improved rental figures, Robin starts encouraging Steve to keep it up.

The only issue is because he's spending pretty much every day flirting with people at work, it becomes second nature to him and he does it in his personal life. Most of the time he does it without even realising, but there are the rare embarrassing occasions where he catches himself saying or doing something that would not be interpreted the way he meant it to be.

One of the worst was when he dropped the kids off at the Byers' place for a sleepover and when Joyce thanked him for getting them there safe, he said, "Anything for you, Joyce," in an unintentionally suggestive tone and winked at her.

He got about half way down the driveway before practically running back to her with a bright red face, apologising profusely. "I'm so sorry, that came out really weird. I just meant that like I think of you as a mom and - no wait, shit, that makes it sound weirder." He had to take a breath to find the words and it came out stiff and unnatural when he said, "I appreciate everything you've done for us all and if you ever need help with anything you can always ask me."

The party witnessed the entire interaction and relentlessly tease him about it and mimic what he said while making kissy faces every time he's scolding them for doing or saying something stupid. They only stop when Will tells them to because that's his mom and he doesn't want to relive that weird, uncomfortable moment where Steve sounded like he was trying to proposition her.

An even worse occurrence happened not long after, when Hopper saw Steve standing around by his car, waiting for the kids to get their shit together and get out of the arcade. Hopper was on patrol, so he called over to him jokingly, "Loitering is a criminal offence, you know."

And Steve, before he could stop it, put one hand on his hip, brushed the other through his hair and said, "Are you gonna cuff me for it, Hop?"

Steve's blood ran cold in the deafening silence that followed where they looked at each other with horrified expressions, but Hopper managed to collect himself quickly. "I'm going to forget you just said that because I know that's not how you meant it to come out."

Steve couldn't look him in the eye when he quietly responded, "That would be really great, thank you."

He also had a weird moment with Jonathan, when he and Nancy walked into Family Video - which to be fair is Steve's main flirting ground - one afternoon later that week.

"So I heard you tried to flirt with both my parents?" Jonathan opened with.

And instead of more blushing and apologising, something unhinged in Steve's brain made him lean forward and say, "You jealous, Jonathan?" and even more wild is the fact that his body thought it would be a great idea to press his index finger to the middle of Jonathan's chest as he said it.

Jonathan looked at him, wide eyed, and only found himself able to let out a blank sounding, "Um."

Nancy, however, stared him down and said, "He's taken, Steve."

Steve pulled his hand away like he'd been burnt as soon as he caught on to what she meant.

And because Steve is a disaster, what was meant to be an assurance that he would never go for Nancy's partner, comes out entirely different.

“Relax, I’m not after your boyfriend. I have much better taste. Like… you, for example." It dawned on him that his tone had been way off as both Nancy and Jonathan stared at him like he had grown an extra head. "That sounded better in my brain. I've moved on, I swear. I meant my past relationships show that my type is not Jonathan. No offence, Jonathan, you are a good looking guy, like you're unconventionally handsome and it's kind of charming... I need to shut up."

He heard himself digging a deeper hole but couldn't make it stop.

"Dude, what the hell is wrong with you?" Robin said, slapping him on the shoulder. "You're supposed to flirt with customers, not everyone."

"I'm sorry, I was going for reassuring this time. Why does everything I say sound wrong lately?" Steve groaned with his face pressed to his hands.

"If it makes it any better, it totally would have worked on me if I was single and into guys," Jonathan shrugged.

"No, Jonathan. That doesn't make it better." Steve snapped in response.

Eddie is blissfully unaware of this new development, until he invites Steve and Robin to one of Corroded Coffin's shows.

Steve can't keep his eyes off Eddie the entire time, and it seems as if Eddie notices and thinks it's weird because Robin definitely notices and announces to Steve that he's being weird. Also, Eddie's eyes keep flitting over to him and he definitely messed up a note or two at some point, which must mean Steve's weird behaviour is throwing Eddie off. Steve tries his best to stop but he keeps doing it so in the end he just lets himself stare and decides he'll explain it to Eddie later.

Then someone tries to approach Eddie at the side of the stage after their set, looking at him with an expression Steve recognises as one that says 'come home with me'. And he feels awful about it because he should let Eddie have that with someone, especially after all the shit he's been though, but his traitorous feet carry him through the crowd to steal Eddie's attention before the person can get there. Robin's left to follow after Steve like a parent chasing a toddler who's running with a sharp object.

Eddie's got no clue that Steve just ruined some potential action for him as he downs a bottle of water so quickly some of it drips down his shirt. Steve's brain suddenly goes 'wow I wish I was that bottle of water', which he will admit catches him off guard because where the fuck did that thought come from? All the other times he'd behaved like this, it was without any thought at all until after the fact. He's also weirdly satisfied when he notices the person who was coming over to talk to Eddie is walking away dejectedly.

"Hey, you guys made it!" Eddie says, his face lighting up as he notices Steve and Robin standing there.

"Of course we did," Robin smiles.

Eddie gives both of them a hug, but Steve's seems to linger a little longer and Steve has to fight himself not to lean in closer and smell Eddie's hair because that's a really fucking weird impulse, especially since Eddie is all sweaty from performing.

"So, what did you think?" Eddie asks, a slightly nervous tone in his voice.

"You were awesome," Steve says, and mentally pats himself on the back for saying something that sounds normal.

"Really?" Eddie asks hopefully.

Something about the look in his eyes makes Steve's chest feel strange. Which is the only explanation he has for immediately demolishing his winning streak against his flirty tendencies.

He means to compliment Eddie on how talented he is at playing guitar. That's what he tells himself anyway.

What actually comes out of his mouth is, "Yeah, you're really good with your hands, Eddie," and it sounds absolutely filthy with the low tone of Steve's voice and the little lip bite he does after, all while leaning in close and making eye contact. There is no room for interpretation at all, but Steve doesn't feel the usual panic and embarrassment that comes when he accidentally does something flirtatious. Huh.

Even more surprising, when Eddie closes the gap even further, raises an eyebrow at him and says, "You should see what they can do when there isn't a guitar in the way, sweetheart," it doesn't throw Steve off one bit, he only feels a spark of excitement at the challenge.

"Maybe I will," he replies, his gaze darting between Eddie's lips and his eyes. And yeah, he's pretty much realised that he's just intentionally flirting with Eddie at this point. He's hoping he'll leave with him because they can't exactly kiss in front of a bar full of people.

"Oh my God," Robin groans, exasperated, and both boys break apart. "Could you take me home before I have to witness anymore of this? It's bad enough watching you flirt when you don't know you're doing it, Steve."

"Shit, sorry, Robin," Steve apologises. "Yeah, I'll drive you home." Robin thanks him, says goodbye to Eddie and starts walking towards the exit. Steve turns back to look at Eddie. "See you later," he smiles, but when he's about to turn to follow Robin, he feels ringed fingers wrap firmly around his wrist.

"Yeah, you will," Eddie responds, his tone still flirty and his eyes watching Steve with purpose. "Your place or mine, big boy?"

the violin was the first thing you held in your hands as a kid

Estimation for DRDT progress (not official)

For my own interest and reasons, I decided to look through some previous posts of drdt and how the progress has been updated during the making of chapter 2. (In reality, I just wanted to find one specific qna but it escalated into this(I was unable to find that specific qna))

Of course everything would have changed since and the progress wouldn't be the same but I do now have a better idea on how it might go.

Also my halfass attempt to keep the fandom alive by saying what yall can look forward to but technically don't take my words to heart if yall don't want to be disappointed, I don't represent anyone but myself.

This is all speculation from my part and there is a *high* chance of it being misinterpreted, please pleaseeee do not treat this as real info/source 🙏🙏🙏

and I apologise in advance if this serves as something uncomfortable for anyone, that's not my intention.

Chapter 3 progress bar

Now currently the progress bar is at 20% since its been announced on June 1st, starting with 6%.

With this info it's estimated that within a month there's a 10% progress.

However, I don't think that this progress will be consistent. Around the start, this should be on the work of daily life episodes, which is considerably faster than what time trial episodes would take, and I assume that most places rn are going through summer season, which would mean the dev has more time than usual.

But I think I can somewhat conclude that the writing is more or less done (DO NOT TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY, ITS NOTTTT REAL SOURCE) because the progress for chapter 2 had started when the dev began to make episodes, not the drafts of writing (there's also the possibility that they changed their Method)

In any case, its been said that the progress bar will keep updating till chapter 3 is finished, so, I would assume an episode is in the making.

Bonus episode

I am particularly very excited for the bonus episodes this time around (and seeing most ppl in the fandom is an ace fan, you too. I'm excited for arei) hehehhe

I have no idea when drdt dev will decide to make the bonus episode, but it should very well be during the making of chapter 3, I would assume about when the progress bar is halfway done?

Anyways, according to the 1st two bonus episodes, from the time it was announced and the time it was posted had been a little over a month. So I presume there'll be a pause in work for the chapter if that's to happen.

FREE TIME EVENTS

Hmmmm I wasn't there for the poll voting but it's about some time with the bonus episode? A little later than that? If anything it's fillers of precious interactions between the cast which I would die for so it's definitely worth the wait.

From what I can gather about previous posts and time difference, free time events should take about one month? Actually, I'm wondering if ftes have already been premade, a month for about 30 minute videos is pretty quick.

In between updates and specials

A little something that I look forward to as well, obviously, chapter 3 isn't going to come within this year.

During chapter 2, there would be about a month an update, with art with it(I'm still expecting a levi eating lollipop one btw/j) which I appreciate and cherish alot, possibly, there may be sneak peaks, I look forward to any of them really!

Final personal words

Honestly, I hope no one would want to rush this, fast progress is great! It always brightens my mood a whole lot, but it worries me if it goes too fast, I prefer to know the dev is taking good care of their health and working steadily instead of rushing anything, really.

I can't speak for everyone, and altho i really am looking forward to chapter 3 alot as well, I hope things goes smoothly, and steady.

Which btw, the more critical ones are such that they are disappointed by the results and demand change in the story??? What??? Make fanfics if yall wanna do that, don't complain or slander. (Complaints are fine but demanding to change the story?? Also complaining in a more considerate manner would be appreciated, I don't speak for drdt dev, this is for my own issues)

but I personally lower my expectations and still stay very excited for drdt.

so that when it comes out and if it exceeds my expectations, I'll be happier than ever, I'd like to avoid feeling any disappointment at all, cause I'm sure the dev is working hard on drdt, and really, it'd hurt knowing anyone feels disappointed, it's common to see it but it doesn't mean it won't be a bummer.

Actually, I'm quiteee sure that I won't be disappointed anyway, chapter 2 part 2 proved that I won't be disappointed. I had really thought Ace would survive, I had really thought it'd be a cool motive, but despite it not hitting any of my expectations, I was content and satisfied with everything, overly moved as well!

I'm sure of it, I'll enjoy drdt to the fullest no matter what happens. (Unless it's some kind of unforgivable act relating to the real world but I highly doubt that :p)

Now most of the irl accounts when it comes to funeral believes and practices I know from what I studied at uni and from my own thesis research based on historical accounts so they are either in the form of my notes (non-english) or in old manuscripts (also non-english, and not publicly available) so most of this will be popular media and obviously fictional. Discworld Series • Terry Pratchett

A cult classic that has been a huge part of my childhood! Namely the books that are about Death, the anthropomorphised character. These would be Mort, Reaper Man (a personal favourite), and Hogfather. As someone who has a rather debilitating fear of death (I know, ironic), Discworld’s Death has helped me deal with that, at least a tiny bit. He’s kind, loves cats, and has a pale horse called Binky. His adventures include losing his job and becoming a farmhand, and stepping in for Santa during this world’s version of Christmas. It’s a must read.

Death Warmed Over: Funeral Foods, Rituals, and Customs from Around the World • Lisa Rogak

It’s a funeral cookbook!!! And as a bonus it has descriptions of funerary customs from different cultures around the world.

A Life Among the Dead: Stories from an Irish Funeral Director • David McGowan

Currently ‘up next’ on my tbr pile. It sounds really intriguing, as it’s an irl account from the death industry.

Death, Ritual and Belief • Douglas Davies

I've been told this is a good entry level book to thanatology. Haven’t read it personally yet so I can’t speak much about the academic level of the writing but it’s on my radar.

He has a series of Danse Macabre-inspired artwork depicting Death in real-life situations, often giving it a more compassionate outlook. My fave piece is this one, where Death is depicted as a nanny taking children who died during the Spanish flu.

Dragon Age: the Veilguard

If you, like me, enjoy the concept of benevolent necromancy, and necromancy as a way to take care of and honor the dead, as well as preserve their memories, then Veilguard does a really good job of that. And while I struggle to recommend the game as a whole, as it has things that it does really well but also things that it - in my impartial opinion - does really badly, I can easily say that their take on necromancy is the best I've seen. Ever. Just know that it takes a long time to get there and the entire necromancy arc is disappointingly short compared to the rest of the game. But hey. What’s there is worth it.

Divinity Original Sin 2

One of my top favourite games of all time. The setting, the gameplay, and the lore is excellent. Made by the same studio who made Baldur’s Gate 3, this game is the reason we even have Baldur’s Gate 3 in the first place. And the necromancy spells are seriously so much fun! I am not one for min maxing and such but you can pull off a serious dps build as a necromancer! Plus you get a spell that lets you summon a giant spider made out of bones. I call her Bonnie and headcanon that my oc knits her lovely pink scarves and sweaters. I adore her. She’s everything to me. I love spiders AND necromancy and Bonnie is the best.

Baldur’s Gate 3

Speaking of, another of my top faves! It being DnD means it has my favourite flavour of necromancy = using mushroom magic! It’s a druid subclass but you can multiclass and pick some other necromancy spells from wizard so you can have both of the best worlds if you ever so choose! I also personally love playing with mods too that let me have my mushroom zombies accompany me forever, because watching them die after a few turns is traumatising. I want Chanterelle, Toadstool, and Mr. Shrumbo to be with me always thank you very much.

Pillars of Eternity 1 and 2

Now Pillars has a different take on necromancy. What is more commonly known as necromancy is called animancy in the game world and it contains the study of the soul, but it’s more than that. I personally find this take very fresh and interesting. It also has a class that is essentially a necromancer bard. You get to summon spirits of the dead through song! And that’s dope af. I only wish I could have some skeleton friends help me complete my music number.

Avowed

Same world as the Pillars of Eternity games but it gets a special mention because I adore this game so so much. AND you get to have mushrooms on your face. AND it’s incredibly beautiful with amazing writing. AND you should go play it right now.

Elder Scrolls Online

In case you want some mmorpg recommendations as well. Now, all elder scrolls games have necromancy in them, I just personally find it a bit less fleshed out, in terms of available spells. ESO is getting a special mention on that front as it has a dedicated necromancer class with a lot of fun spells. What I also adore about elder scrolls in general is the Dunmer, the dark elves of the universe, and their unique take on death. Prologue

February 6th

Colin Bridgerton looked at the various packages and cards laid out across the bed with a sense of satisfaction.

He’d taken a few years to get to this point. Taken a couple of wrong turns along the way too. Turns that had almost cost him the one person he cared most about in this world - his very good friend and recently realised love of his life, Penelope Featherington.

Not only had he disastrously dated her cousin, he’d also proclaimed loudly to some university friends, that he would never date her.

Yes, he had been drunk. And yes, he was a pillock. But worse than that, she’d overheard him. That had been a dark time in their friendship. One that he’d truly thought they might never come back from. But he’d apologised – more than once – and had worked hard to repair the trust he’d so carelessly broken.

Eventually, she had accepted him back and as time had gone by, they’d grown even closer as a result. Closer to the point that when she turned up at one of his brother’s art gallery shows with another man a few months ago, Colin had felt the first stirrings of a quite spectacular bout of jealousy.

He hadn’t wanted to acknowledge it as such at first, but the instant dislike and intense urge to physically remove the man’s arm from around her waist really couldn’t be put down to anything else. Especially when Benedict, his brother whose gallery it was, jokingly told him that if he planned on committing murder that night, could he please do it off premises.

Funny guy.

As it turned out, he never saw the man again. Penelope had told him that Eloise had set it up, but they’d hadn’t hit it off.

Eloise. His own sister betraying him like that.

He’d been livid, but not said anything then. He still hadn’t fully understood what was going on in his head…or his heart. No, that had come later at the New Year’s Eve party, that his mother had hosted, just over a month ago.

A party where Penelope had given him the biggest wake-up call of his life.

Not that she actually remembered it. She’d been too drunk. But he did – in all its wonderful, technicoloured glory.

The party had been fun and loud with everyone in good spirits. Apart from Christmas, it was one of the few occasions, where all eight Bridgerton siblings and their respective partners, spouses and families would be under one roof at the same time.

Penelope had been on fine form that night. She’d danced and chatted with everyone, including himself, and had gotten a little worse for wear as the evening progressed. It didn’t happen often, but when it did, she could be quite chaotic…in an adorable way, of course.

This time had been no exception.

Once the clock struck midnight, Penelope had decided that all the Bridgerton siblings and their significant others were going to get a kiss, a hug and a slightly slurred term of affection.

There were a few ‘you’re so great’s’, a couple of ‘you’re the best’s’ and a lot of ‘I love you’s’ that were mainly reserved for his siblings. It was understandable as she’d known the family for so long and been best friends with Eloise since they were teenagers.

Smiling indulgently, he’d watched as she’d made her way around his extended family before finally coming to stop in front of him last. She’d stared up at him, eyes slightly glazed, face flushed and he’d put his bottle of beer down on a nearby table then opened his arms, ready for his hug. Instead of walking into his embrace, however, she’d simply grabbed hold of his shirt collar with both hands and tugged him down to plant a hard, but lingering kiss on his lips.

He’d been so shocked that he hadn’t reacted at first. By the time his brain had started working, she’d already broken away, booped him on the nose and leaned in close to say conspiratorially, “Shhh, don’t tell the others, but I love you most of all.”

He’d frozen and simply stared at her, wide-eyed and open mouthed. Suddenly, she’d giggled, then spun around and headed off to join Eloise and his youngest sister, Hyacinth, on the makeshift dancefloor that was their living room. 

He’d stood gazing after her feeling as though all the air had been sucked out of the room.

“Breathe, brother,” Benedict had said, suddenly appearing at his side and laying a hand down heavily on his shoulder.

Colin had jumped a little at the contact then turned to look at him and forced a smile to his lips that were still tingling pleasantly from her kiss. It was clear that Benedict had seen what had happened, although he doubted that he’d heard what she’d said. Unable to think of a suitable retort in the face of his brother’s obvious amusement, he’d grabbed his bottle of beer off the table and began to drink. And drink. And drink until he’d downed the entirety of its contents in one go.

“Better?” Benedict had queried dryly with a quirk of his brow.

“I’m not sure,” Colin had muttered in reply, as he’d tried to keep a lid on his emotions.

His brother had given him a long, contemplative look then squeezed his shoulder hard a couple of times as he’d offered wisely, “Yes, you are.” 

Colin smiled to himself as he thought back to those words from Benedict. He’d been right. That kiss from Penelope and what she’d said, had made all his confusing feelings finally make sense.

Because he was in love with her too.

So very much.

Unfortunately, she hadn’t remembered anything of that night. And to be perfectly honest, he wasn’t entirely certain that she’d meant she loved him, loved him. She could have been talking purely as friends.

Except, you didn’t kiss your friend like that, did you?

He didn’t anyway.

He’d spent much of January testing the waters between them. Pushing the boundaries. He’d been a little more flirty, in person and over text. Sat next to her a little more closely on the settee when they watched a film together. He’d even reached for her hand while walking along the street a bit more and although Penelope happily went along with everything, he’d eventually realised that she didn’t view anything he did as out of the ordinary.

They’d acted like girlfriend and boyfriend in all things, except for intimacy, for so long that he was now going to have to be more obvious.

In a secret admirer kind of way.

With Valentine’s Day a week away, he was going to woo Penelope Featherington – and he was going to do with the help of his siblings.

Not one of his brothers or sisters had been even mildly surprised when he told them over their group chat how he felt or what he intended to do. There had just been a lot of ribbing that it’d taken him so long to see what they had all known for years.

A head’s up would’ve been nice.

There came a knock at his door then Benedict sauntered in and viewed the items on the bed with an approving nod.

“All set then?” his brother asked.

“Yes,” Colin affirmed, “And you? Is it ready?”

“All packaged up and the courier is coming to collect it today,” he replied.

“Good.” Colin leaned forward, picked up a small packet from the bed and turned to his brother with a smile. “Then let’s get started.”

Benedict grinned back at him and wrapped his arm about his shoulder as they headed out of Colin’s old bedroom and downstairs to the study where his eldest brother, Anthony, was waiting. He was going to give Penelope the first gift the next day.

“Good luck, brother,” Anthony encouraged with a smile. He had put the packet safely away then poured them all a drink for a small toast and now held up a cut glass tumbler in salute. The dash of whisky it contained swirled around at the movement. “I look forward to the day that I’m finally able to officially welcome Penelope into our family.”

Colin raised his own glass in return and smiled.

“I’ll certainly drink to that,” he replied meaningfully.

Benedict also held up his glass and clinked it against both of his brothers before adding, “To Operation Secret Admirer.”

The brothers laughed at the nickname Benedict had given to Colin’s upcoming endeavours and all took a drink.

Colin placed his empty glass back down on the table with a thud, then grinned at them both in anticipation.

“Let the wooing begin.”

Gift exchange at the Darklands castle

The family decided to all get a card with someone’s name, and to get that person a gift.

But who gets who, and what will their gift be?...

But then it suddenly was already Christmas eve...

(I also hereby apologise for the length of this post, but there’s no neat point to make a “read more” in this one…)

Bowser got Iggy, and is very much in turmoil on what to get him, as he and Iggy aren’t the closest. (This is not on purpose btw-, there just aren’t that many things that Bowser and Iggy have in common, and therefor they spend less time together than other combinations might).

He refuses to just get Iggy some new/more lab equipment or mechanical tools though. He thinks it would give the “I don’t care. Here, have something you like. I put no effort in this gift.” And he doesn’t want to give Iggy that feeling…

Bowser makes dried fruit bites, covered in chocolate. It was originally just one batch of pineapple with chocolate, but he eventually builds an entire contraption of multiple fruits in chocolate.

Iggy got Morton, and decided to not get him something that had to do with food.

He remembered how much Morton used to play with toy trucks, cars, etc. So he build his little brother a couple of remote controlled karts and bikes, of them and their family. Due to limited time, he made just him and Morton, but he is planning on making the others with their favourite kart/bike combo, but he’ll give Morty those on his next birthday.

Morton got Lemmy, and decided to just go walk around in a toy store. He most likely gets home with a bag full of toys… (Some for himself, but he truthfully bought most for Lemmy) He just couldn’t choose! So why not all? (That’s what Bowser gets for not giving them a price limit…)

Lemmy got Larry, and thought of perhaps something that had to do with sports or anything…

But he ends up with something more related to animals. (Not an actual pet though. Bowser forgot to put a price limit to the gift, but he explicitly stated that living things were not allowed.)

Probably a video-game that has you have pets. (Think Nintendogs + cats type stuff.)

Larry got Wendy, and had gotten more than enough ideas of what to potentially get her… (Wendy is very vocal about what she wants, and does this the whole year through.)

He probably gets her a very rare piece/roll of cloth for her to use in a new design of clothing, or an expensive nail polish, or something else special and hard to get by.

Wendy got Roy. While walking around to think about what to get her big, strong, older brother, she saw his boxing gloves. They were all tattered and worn, and were in desperate need of either a repair, or replacement. So, she did both! She bought new ones, but gave them a personal make-over, to have them better fit her brother. As the ones for guys are usually black or dark red or something… And the pink ones were too small anyway, but also were all flowery. So she got a set in the right size, but replaced the clothed parts, with some of her own. The gloves she ends up giving Roy are purple with a sort of dark pink edges and seems. When holding the back of them up, the one on the left has a stitched form of Roy’s bazooka, while the one on the right has a shot bullet bill on it. (Wearing Roy’s sunglasses).

Roy got Junior, and was (just like his dad) completely clueless on what to get his receiver. After all… WHAT ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO GET A KID THAT ALREADY HAS EVERYTHING?!

So, Roy eventually gets Junior the more expected art supplies or something (Cause heavens knows Junior burns through them faster than Ludwig can play his music…)

But, to make it more personal (as Roy has enough of a heart to not want to get generic either), and give something Junior doesn’t have… Or better said, isn’t used to-

He hides it, and makes it a little scavenger hunt of it for Junior.

“Make the brat work for his gift. He’s always gotten everything he wanted handed to him. Now he will have to do something for it.”

Junior got Ludwig, and is in panic of what to get Ludwig. He already has multiple music instruments… (And Junior knows that he doesn’t know enough about them to do anything with that for Ludwig anyway). And they have an entire fucking library…

Eventually, he makes a small ticket book for Ludwig, with a couple of “Sush. I am your older brother, you listen to me right now.” Tickets in it, since the two are so often fighting for power… (Junior with the “I’m the heir of the throne” and Ludwig with the “I’m the oldest sibling” thing.)

Each and every ticket has a funny small doodle/drawing of Ludwig and Junior on it, so that it also looks fun (and Junior wouldn’t pass up the opportunity to make funny small drawings.)

Ludwig got Bowser. But, what are you supposed to get the guy that practically saved your (and your siblings’) life?... What object can ever repay such kindness and care that Bowser had given Ludwig and his siblings the day he took them into the castle, and saved them from a life on the streets? There isn’t any expensive enough to come even close to how grateful Ludwig is…

So, he doesn’t buy Bowser anything. Instead, he searches through the library for a spell. A spell he once read about… A spell that can make ‘photo’s’ from memories that people recite.

So he goes past all his siblings, to have them recite memories of them in the castle, or any family outings as well. Eventually also past his dad, although he here has to hide what he is doing… And asks his father to recite things about their family, in the hope to help Ludwig come up with a gift.

“But I can’t tell you who I actually have! That’d be cheating…”

They all love the gift they got.

(Although Junior initially whined about it, he had to eventually admit that the hunt was kinda fun...)

And Bowser started sniffling and crying a bit when looking thought the memory scrapbook from Ludwig. He got over to his oldest, picked him up into a firm hug (cue surprised yelp from Ludwig about suddenly being picked up into a firm hug), and told Ludwig how much he loved his gift.

We are only supposed to have 1 story entry per person per year, understandably to not overload one's self with too many projects, and not only have I already uploaded on 13th December, but the last post was yesterday, Christmas Eve 2023, by the incredible pugoata.

Even then, this subject was discussed rather at length within the BBB Discord Server little over a month ago, even as a silly little idea a few people threw around. As per the rules of the Big Bang:

"Do not discuss your BBB ideas in the server, or in public, at all"

As this was indeed a BBB idea discussed within the server, it cannot be entered officially as a story.

But from the simple question posed "What would it look like to write a Bees Story from a perspective other than the Bees?", that stupid idea was in my head. And then due to a mental health nosedive, I suddenly had a lot of time on my hands, and a crazy idea in my head to follow through with after that brief talk.

And thus, 3 weeks later, this. Despite waiting until Christmas Day itself to post, it is not itself a festive story. Just wanted to put that out there before expectations were formed.

I held off posting so that everyone could enjoy the fruits of everyone who worked on their BBBs' labour, but now with that buffer out of the way, I'd give you something for the next couple of days worth of binging. I thought I'd also offer out to anyone who wanted to give it a shot:

Honestly do not worry about not being good with Maths or Science as I am just probably worse at them (I am an essay and arts person), it is why I am getting a degree in English to my family's disappointment so I can hopefully become an English Lecturer/Teacher(I can deal with sassy or just plain horrid children as I have my younger cousins).

I only know so much about diseases as I had to learn about some in school but mainly because the main and favourite cousin I babysit has a special interest in diseases. He is actually the inspiration for the Plague AU as he started talking to me about the Bubonic Plague one day and I asked about why plagues had humanoid forms or representations based on some research I had been doing to understand diseases more but mix it with my own special interest which led to them teaching me the symptoms and explaining how they would be represented.

So I thought of the AU and discussed the basic ideas I wanted mixed with the specific details I definitely wanted in the design which he mixed with what he knew of symptoms and how to make it logical to make sense with the disease. He then drew out the designs which made it easier for me to describe.

Also, the details I am on about are how it affected Simon but it is his design as it has many references and the same goes for his backstory and companions. But please do not worry about not knowing as some parts of the UK's school system are just as narcissistic especially where I grew up so I understand that not everyone will know.

The posts for Plague AU König, Makarov, Roach, Price, and Soap will be just as detailed and hopefully can become a game with all my posts to see who can figure out the most or all the details and what they are references to!

Also, sorry about the late reply as we had a Christmas tradition I could not miss (Mrs Brown's Boys is something I recommend to watch) and please do not worry about me getting hangovers as for some reason I never get them even if I drink like a fish.

I did see that you made a connection between his backstory and this AU, and I like it! I can't wait to see what you'll come up with, every little detail and information just give to us on a silver platter. I'll be letting people guess tho, I am BAD at guessing games despite having so many clues.

I should be the one apologising for replying hours later, I was playing Dead by daylight with a friend when I got this in my inbox. Anyway, good for you! Your kidneys sure are efficient at dissolving the alcohol in your system. I try to limit myself at two cups of Bailey's when I drink, I don't want to test my limit and wake up with a hangover and possibly embarrassing myself.
