The cool thing about it being a dream sequence is that I can both in-game and out-of-it set it up in such a way that, even before the obviously trippy shit start, something is not quite right. The fact that murdered ghosts are returning before their time is the first clue; Katya being so adamant that Lyra hurt her, as opposed to her calm state upon death, is meant to be the second; and the unexplained black fire (plus a photo from Lorelei’s room in the background of Lyra’s room*) are the visual hints that should seal the deal. At least in theory: quick, in the comments, how long did it take you guys to realize this was a dream? 

* - actually that’s just cus I swapped around Lorelei’s and Lyra’s rooms down to the last detail to recreate the effect except for that photo, which I’d forgotten about until I took those shots and then just rolled with it. If I can find it Thursday, I’ll have to post a behind-the-scenes look at how i edited the house to make it surreal architecture that way
