last idea before i leave it alone forever but robby with sweet intern as i’ve been yapping about nonstop but with the additional twist that she didn’t match emergency, she soaped in. so on top of the shy reader template she also doesn’t really have a passion for emergency medicine she just really didn’t want to reapply and go through that grueling process again. so she’s a few steps behind in terms of training and she’s never actually been in the emergency department much (it wasn’t a required rotation and she didn’t think it’d ever be that important for her). i think it’s just even better to imagine robby getting the news that one of their new interns soaped in and he doesn’t know what to expect besides that he might have a grumpy intern who doesn’t know things he really needed them to know and that he’s gonna have to spend time teaching and then it’s just. oh. it’s you. (he didn’t believe in love at first sight until july 1st)

#there’s more but i think it needs to stay in the tags #nervous trembling intern who is so scared of what she just signed up for and still processing not getting into her dream specialty #which was ob or peds I think… much to think about but it’ll be vague if i do write this in #anyways standing there on your first staring at him with big scared eyes like a deer in headlights #trying to answer every question and apologizing for every wrong answer and not being used to the fast pace #spending too long with stable patients and running around trying to find a sticker for the kids #the more cynical ones taking bets on how long you’ll last since it’s so clear that you were the one who soaped and maybe since they already #knew whitaker and robby well.#he decides he’ll make a point of trying to teach you and get you ready for this job and it’s for the sake of teaching #and education and passing the torch and you’re scared but you’re obviously a good doctor and smart and you can do it because he’s taught #worse than you before and at least you’re eager and good with the patients and you stare at him with bright sparkly eyes when he helps you #with something and doesn’t make you feel bad about it at all or explains something or walks you through the department because you can’t #find a bed or something.#definitely not because he’s wondering if you’re this reactive and people pleasing and nervous in real life #then how would you be pinned under him in bed with your legs on his shoulders?#anyways #michael robinavitch
