without context i'll just say that i wish people would understand the difference between 'seeing things through a western lense' and 'seeing things for what they've become due to western influence' but alas, that's not something that tumblr dot com could comprehend

#i'm just tired of people crying the x and r words while pushing aside people who have lived experience #when they are trying to shit on something so hard that they come out on the other end #and end up excusing behaviours that are essentially rightwing viewpoints #just because you don't like to hear something it doesn't make it untrue and instead of fighting the people pointing it out #maybe fight the thing that you have issue with #and i'm begging for people to understand that media CREATES the standards #what you see in ads and on telly and in music videos #those standards are always what people will try to hold themselves up to #in every country ever #no matter how unrealistic #and if you don't understand the influence america had on media in the past 50+ years... then just please shut up and sit down #i'm tired of children throwing tantrums if you couldn't tell #anyway #ramblings
